This place is probably the biggest scam in the game. They know how to talk to you and rip you off easily. I went there once because my car was making a noise near the engine. The guy told me what needed to be fixed, so I asked for a price. Instead of giving me a straight answer, the owner (or whoever he was) just said, “Oh, we got it, just leave it, and we’ll fix it—then we’ll tell you the price.” But I knew he already had an idea of how much the part would cost, which was around $100-$150. I insisted on getting a price upfront, and that’s when he told me it could be anywhere from $800 to $1,200. Right away, I knew it was a scam because I had already checked with two other mechanics—one quoted me $275, and the other $325. For anyone who doesn’t know much about cars, even basic things like changing oil or brakes, PLEASE don’t go with the first price a mechanic gives you. Always call around and compare prices from at least four different mechanics before making a decision.

Be careful of their service, get a second opinion I was there with my work truck. I was having transmission problems. They told me to leave my truck overnight and told me they will have their specialist. Evaluate the problem, I asked for an estimate they told me the couldn’t give me a price at the moment. next day I show up at 11 o’clock, they told me they need $4300 to fix my truck. Transmission as for-their diagnostic I was surprised and caught off guard, they told me it was a CTV transmission that needs special parts and repair. I was not happy with the price. I needed a second opinion I went to a different transmission shop. They look at my truck and determine it had no transmission fluid in the transmission no fluid whatsoever the fluid drained out because of a gasket leak. They added the fluid needed. The told me return another day to get the truck repair. Get the gasket replaced. The truck is been driving perfectly fine. just added fluid cost me $100. Just $100 and my truck is working perfectly fine. I am assuming Lee Myers service technicians don’t know what they’re doing or they’re just trying to rip me off. Beware be careful get a second opinion.

So this was my first and only experience dealing with these individuals and mechanics. But I must say, I did not like the demeanor of the mechanic Joe. I did not like the fact that the cashier heard me say all I wanted to do is get my brakes and rotors checked out for a quick thing, which could be like one minute or two minutes at the most. But they wanted my information down and they wanted to charge me just to have a look. I understand their expertise is valuable. They probably do deserve some type of money. But if you go to 99.9 mechanics, they probably won't charge you just to take a look at something simple as, hey, take a look at my brakes and rotors, how much depth is left. That's it. They could have told me whatever. They could get my job and I'll pay them good, obviously. But instead, they asked me, all right, give us your information. And then they want me to pay them for the estimate as well on top of the actual job itself, which to me is preposterous. I never heard of that from a mechanic before. Just to give me an estimate of what they thought of how much brakes and rotor I had left. Crazy. I would not ever go to them ever again. I would not recommend them. The whole vibe was totally off. Definitely don't waste your time , they just will nickel n dime u for every moment you on the property

Scammers !! don t go there There objective is to take all your money especially if your driving a foreign car! Pls go to A mechanic you trust don t throw away your money . They will open your transmission when they don t need to . Either they are stupid or don t know what they re doing .just so they can charge thousands of dollars they need body cameras so we the customers can be sure they do what they are supposed to they are thieves don t get fooled by the good reviews they got their people , be wise.
I needed my side view mirror replaced and this was my first time trying this place. Was very professional and informative from my first call to make the appointment to picking up my car afterwards. Staff was great as well. They didnt try to add on any extra service. I would definitely come here again for future car needs.
Will never go back! Went there for fron brakes . I was told ineeded rear brakes as well. I said I will come back the next day. The next day, the car was not drivable. The rear brakes were done and upon inspection, they were so damaged and making all sort of noise, the car was not drivable. I took the car somewhere else. Customer service was absolutely excellent.

I swear what im going to write on God and my 3 children, that when i got my car fixed with this company, i paid close to $3700 to get my tramission fixed the first day i had problem with transmission kicking but it was drivable and i didnt have the car for over 2 weeks So I was caught up with a lot of stuff and i left to north carolina and i didnt have a chance to bring it back and now that i came to NY to have him fix it the right way he is saying to pay $3000 more to fix the transmission because it passed 20000 miles more of the warranty. This business owner is not honest do not do business with them . The car doesnt react to come out of the high way, it kicks and can create an accident. I swear they gave me the car the same way that im giving it back to them. Nothing has changed. Terrible dishonest people. They purposely do something bad to your car for you to come back and be charged more. The owner pretends hes not the owner. When we entially did business with him he said he was the owner. We were taken advantage of. Being out of work for 3 years do to a work accident i wasnt able to come back to new york. They said the warranty was 2 years we came back within the year. Steve the owner is a liar, has no heart ,and purposely damages cars for clients to come back with more problems. We have a 15 month old, a 8 year old and a 6 year old if anything happens to us while driving because steve neglected to fix the problem steve created its on Lee myers auto and Steves responsibility !
We went there a year ago to fix a transmission problem with just the light going on for check engine nothing serious paid $4,800, after we received the car it began to jerk and kick back the same day we got, we had to leave to North Carolina because it s where we live, my husband being in a work accident wasn t able to return to fix the issue, we finally made it to New York to bring the car to lee myers auto, only to be told it s $3,000 now to fix the issue with the car kicking, I was in tears explaining how we drove so far, and have a 15 month old baby it is dangerous to drive back with the car kicking in the highway or anywhere on the road. The owner is dishonest. They created this problem with the car just so we would come back and spend more money. If anything happens to us it s on them ! Don t trust this auto repair place, would you trust your life driving to people that glitch your car for profit ? Scary !
Stay away from this place! They kept my car for multiple months. On my first trip I paid over $1000 to have my check engine light turned off. I picked up the car the light turned back on after driving for one day. I brought back the car and they charged me another $600 the kept my car for another month. They kept on telling it needed new parts. I got the car back and it was making a strange noise, there was oil stains inside the car, they did not put on the engine cover back on because they cracked it and they damaged my inside door panel, they tried to tell me I had to pay again. These people are thieves! I still can t use my car! I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
I had the get the solenoids replaced in my transmission.This establishment took care of me when I needed them most. They spoke to me everyday to let me know how the job was progressing and gave me an accurate time table to when the job would be done. Lee Myles will definitely be my go to place for everything transmission related.
Ive come here 3 times for car inspection. Being a female entering an auto shop sometimes has not been a pleasant experience and often times Ive been treated differently because of my lack of knowledge of cars. Steve and Joe both provided excellent customer service and attentiveness. I was very pleased and happy with the quality of service and will be a returning customer
I should let you know this dont go there on the phone they are very nice also behavior are great but they are not good with commitment.i went there with transmission problems they hold my car a week and they gave me a price which is very much higher then dealer. This place is a properly run business. Well staffed, employees are helpful and transparent. You are going to get very fair prices and they buttoned up an entire transmission replacement within 2 days. Don t be surprised they are booked up!! They even tightened up my shifter linkage to my liking two weeks after the repair included within the warranty.

Before coming to lee a shop I had taken my tsx gearbox to get looked at I called the shop asked if they ll have time to check it out and work on it. The owner told me to bring it in so I did. 1 week pasted no feed back. A whole month past by still nothing so I decided to go pick up my gearbox and left. That same day I called lee s and they told me to drop it off. So I did the following day I received a call from lee s saying that they opened the box and one of the gears was messed up so i told them to get me and estimate and start working. It s been a week after rebuilding my gearbox. I dropped off my car 2 days ago. today they installed the new one. On top of that I wanted them to install my headers and exhaust. They finished everything as I asked double checked everything. The car drive like a brand new car. If anyone has any car problems I highly recommend these guys. By far amazing customer service. Super genuine people. I could say I m a satisfied customer and I ll be going here from here on out. Thank you so much for all you ve done.

I will NEVER come to this shop again. I was having tire sensor problems and walked into this hop with my car. They did a diagnostic check and they said all of my sensors are fine and gave me my car back with a $220.00 charge. They returned my car with a thin razor Slash to my dashboard, in addition, the sensor light returned the next day. Since it was the weekend I called them on Monday and was told to bring the car back in, yet they would charge me for repair???? So, after I paid $200 for literally nothing, they would charge me again to repair what I initially bought my car in for. Needless to say, I decide to take my car someplace else on Baisley Blvd. The other place diagnosed me instantly that I had two failed sensors on the left side of my car. They replaced my sensors and my car was ready in an hour. As for the slash in my dashboard there was NO WAY I was going to take my car back to Lee Myles on Hillside ave in Queens. Disappointed because being a business owner myself, my Moto is to always work with integrity. I initially wrote a good review due to welcoming nature of the staff yet the work was just disappointing. Dear Lee Myles Auto Care Owner. I am NOT leaving the review for the wrong place. I Was serviced at your location on Hillside. After my dashbaord was SLASHED, I decided to go to another shop for professional service.
Lee Myles overcharged me I have to pay $3700 for rebuild transmission thats after $170 discount. So original charge total was $$3870. I have to wait and see to find out quality of work But Im not coming back and Im going to recommend it to anyone

These guys matched all the reviews. I needed new shocks and struts and they did a great job. Joe (the owner) was completely professional and focused on walking me through what was needed, why and answer any questions. I also recognized a mechanic working there named Vic who was one of the first mechanics I met who was completely honest (saving me money) when he was at another shop. Seeing him i knew i would be good. These guys set the bar for professionalism and doing good work to reflect who they are.

Lee Myles of hollis has been excellent in handling the performance transmission REBUILD of my 2013 Cadillac ATS4, the car feels better than when I got it brand new! Smooth and easy shifting. And lets not forget they did it all in under a week! Ordering specialty parts and getting them in the shop and installed including rebuilding/replacing all the other failed parts! All in under a week! Truly amazed, couldnt have asked for better service.

Dropped off the car that I suspected had a transmission problem. After a free inspection that lasted half a day, I was told that the car did indeed have a problem with the transmission. I was given a standard what seemed to be a service price of 870$ to remove the transmission etc, but was not quoted a full price for the repair. I decided to pickup the car. As soon as I picked up the car, the car is no longer driveable. I managed to get stuck on a highway , and called up the shop to ask as to what exactly did they do to the car. I got a long list of things that the shop apparently did, ..a road test other inspection a lift. I told them YOU DESTROYED THE TRANSMISSION completely, I drove fine to the shop and expected to be able to drive back. What they told me in a smug reply was , You have a transmission problem, what did you expect?. Well you have a negative review, what do you expect. If you have a transmission problem, ..find AAMCO, ..because these guys will mess your car up, ..insuring either you fix the car with them, or regret like me the fact you brought it there. So if you dont like regrets ..dont give yourself a headache
Great repair shop for having your transmission serviced, or if you just need something like an oil change. Joe and Steve took great care of me last year when my clutch, flywheel and motor mounts were replaced. Fast forward to April 2019, my 03 Sentra spec v was leaking power steering fluid, and needed a pressurized power steering line replaced. This line is very hard to access, and is behind and below the intake plenum. Mechanics did a splendid job. Only thing I noticed was that the insulator was not on the hose so the hose would not vibrate. Not sure if it was missing prior to bringing it in since I had the rack & pinion replaced 6 years ago. Going to find something to insulate it, and being a shade tree mechanic, will probably rig up something with rubber like insulation foam tape for household doors. Great customer service Steve and Joey! Appreciate you explaining everything to me, and treating me like family. Highly recommended that if you are in the area, and need your vehicle serviced - Lee Myles is the only place I trust!

A little expensive on the repairs but the diagnosis is proper and my transmission cable problem was taken care of very quickly. This place is highly recommended if you re having issues with your transmission. Manager is very courteous and the follow-ups are excellent.

Thought my car was done. Stalling, not accelerating when I floored the gas pedal. Took car to Lee Myles, they focused on problem at hand and did a diagnostic check. They informed me it was a system sensor. They replaced it advised me of maintenance follow up and done. It s been at least 2 months and not a glitch of any kind. They did a great job! Car should last me another 40,000 miles. Car is 15 years old and runs like new. Great job to the workers/mechanics at this location. It is now about 6 months snd my car is still without a glitch. So yeah Lee Myles actually, Joe specifically, regarding that $1,200 quote...decided to get a second opinion at the dealership. The dealership who you always think is going to rip you off!t! They say it was perfectly normal no problem at all. DIDNT COST A DIME!! You said $1,200!!! I am so incredibly mad and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Stay far away from this place. Always get a second opinion.

This place specializes in lies and deceit. I ended up going somewhere else and finding out the problem I had really case a couple hundred to fix, while this place tried to take me for thousands without a proper diagnosis!!! From what Ive seen, it very much looks like they switch parts from your car with other cars they work on. They have a manager who brings you in and tries to diagnose your car as he sees fit. He tells you the place has been there for so long, so they must be honest. He speaks like hes a transmission guru, but when you speak with other shops, you learn he knows little and what he says is a big, expensive lie. Mechanics wont talk to you directly. They just let the head manager/liar talk to you.
If you have VW of ANY model with any problem, I have an older VR6. These men will track your problem down and fix it with quality parts and quality service. Yes, it may take time but quality work takes time, magic doesnt happen In an hour. If you are second guessing it, you will not be disappointed! Also their prices are very reasonable. I went to this place because originally my dad had his transmission fixed a couple years ago and everything went great for him. I went to the same place for my g35 expecting the same experience but no I was in for a surprise. The price I was quoted first seemed a little high but I was determined to pay good money for a quality repair. To my surprise after my transmission was fixed it was good for the first month, but after that I felt the transmission not responding as well and having signs of transmission issues again. I diled up lee Myles on hillside ave because they did mention to me me the car came with a 3 year warranty and after a couple days in the shop they came to the conclusion that the ABS light was creating the hiccup in my car, I was a little doubtful at first but I proceeded to PAY for the repair for the ABS hoping that was the issue. After driving a couple of days my transmission still felt the same and also I felt like it was getting worse. At that point I was fed up in taking it in the shop for a problem that was suppose to be fixed weeks ago. FASTORWARD couple of months later the transmission was blown and at that point I just decided to get rid of the car. My experience with lee Myles was not a very good one. And I would think twice about taking this car to to this shop.
SHOP AROUND before opening your wallet.. As always this place will drain your wallet like its your blood at a blood bank if you let them! Long waits paying hundreds for diagnoses and thousands of $$$ for jobs that cost hundreds! If you are rich and have money to burn by all means go here. These guys diagnosed my car and I paid them a total of $5,000 to replace the engine and they said the car will be fine after the work is done. Three weeks later I pick up the car and them knowing I will be back for a safety inspection and that it wouldnt pass then tell me that I need another part that will cost almost $3,000??? So I left and found a quality mechanic and he said $700 total. They will act nice and courteous towards you while they are RIPPING YOU OFF. My next move will be to complain to the BBB.
I was looking for an honest and reliable place to take my car for much needed repairs. A friend of mine was raving about Lee Myles auto shop in Hollis. So I said why not... and give it a try. The customer service was amazing as you are greeted by Sara and her welcoming hello. Joe and Steve were extremely helpful as they told me exactly what the repairs in my car were going to be and the cost down to the very cent. When Igor my bill it was broken down in detail and my warranty as well. They said if I ever have any issues to come back because I have warranty on all the work I had done. The tires I bought from somewhere else a few years were cracking horribly and they showed me the damage. I know I bought 4 tires today that will last me a very long time backed by them. So happy after all these years I found them. Steve explains EXACTLY what the problem is and the costs. There are no surprises here. They are not paying me to say this either. I will visit them just to say hi and thanks. They tell you what is wrong with your car and the price before you make any decisions or pay anything. Theyre the most trustworthy mechanics EVER! Also the office is clean and warm. I felt so comfortable here. I was out of town with desperate need to fix my car and they made my concern to get home, their concern. I never got a car fixed that quickly. Their prices were great too! They dont take advantage of their customers. I truly appreciate their help and I am so glad to have met them!
I usually dont do reviews but my experience here was just god awful please dont make the same mistake I did and go bankrupt for simple repairs and I know this is a waste of time because I noticed how the mangers rebuttal makes the negative reviews sound like they are either made up or it is the customers fault. I dont want a refund or complimentary anything I just want to warn the innocent guys and gals to be cautious when going here.
horrible service and will over price everything..the manger will tell you anything wrong except whats really wrong and charge you whole soul to fix..My father went there before just for the engine light and that problem was fixed for less then a year.. Then i the daughter was trying to talk and couldnt get one word in..I dont like it when someone rips off my father so i told the manger my word over power his..you have to tell me exactly whats wrong with the car that i already didnt know..cuz i knew there was a problem with the transmission and thats why we went there..I then asked him if i was to buy a transmission and you guys replace it how much would it cost and his answer was you cannot buy a new transmission.and hung up.. Sooooo just be careful and always get a second opinion.. Less be clear before I put your company on blast..We paid last year to get the codes fixed last year which the warranty have not been used and your telling that the codes came up again that the guys supposedly fixed..SPEAK TO STEVE AND ASK EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID TO GET SUCH A RESPONSE....HAVE A GOOD DAY..HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Only go here if youre RICH and have money to burn.. you can bet on it that their pricep are NOT competitive and they will screw you if you allow them. Read the negative complaints and see how the owner will treat you if you give negative feedback. good luck.

Steve and the crew were wonderful, very nice people, explained everything prior to doing the work, they even asked me if I wanted to come by to check on the car and their progress. I went to the shop with my wife, they brought me into the garage, showed me my gear box (I wad having my clutch and fly wheel replaced). Highly recommended shop
They are con artist here. They seem professional and polite but they do shady business. My car was here for a few days getting checked out while i was deciding to fix or sell it and they took all my belongings out of my car before i came back.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have been a customer there for many years. They also do general repairs ( brakes, tune ups, tire changes, wheel alignments and much more). When I have brought in my cars for the transmission fluid changes in the past I would always ask for a list of things to be fixed on my cars, the shop manager would call me back and inform me that some of the things I asked to be repaired were not necessary. Other shops would just do the work and charge you, a very honest, knowledgeable and professional establishment.
If you have car problems whether is electrical, transmission or mechanical this is the place to go the office people are knowledgeable and friendly Joe Jr has a great team of technicians that can handle anything you throw at them, and whats best they are honest and they will tell you what you really need to fix which is very rare this days

Steve, Joe, and Sara are great! They truly have their best interest in their customers and their vehicles. My car has been serviced twice and I never felt like other non-pressing issues were added to my bill just to make extra money. Lee Myles customer service is top notch!

I did the tranny on my Camry (workhorse) 3 years ago at 296k and today car has 341k and transmission has never had an issue since.
Ive had a good experience at this Lee Myles location. Steve, Sarah, and Joey have been great in keeping me updated about the work on my car. Steve took pictures during the process and invited me to come in (unannounced!) to see the progress on the car. Though my car is a classic rarity, they worked hard to make sure that they found and used the right parts. Steve made sure to make me aware of anything that needed fixing, and things that didnt. A true professional. The only problems encountered with the work were a mis-wired console and some sloppy finishing including not re-attaching some air hoses - likely overlooked because of the rush to get my car back to me for the weekend. I brought these to Steves attention and he addressed them immediately. Mistakes happen, but the sign of a professional shop is how they handle those mistakes. Steve and the crew took care of these minor issues and returned the car in the proper condition that Id expect from a top-notch mechanic. I feel confident in the quality of their work. The car drives great and feels very safe. (I no longer carry my fire-extinguisher in the car!) I will be taking my car back here for future work and recommend them to others. --UPDATE-- Having more work done with them, Ive upgraded my 4-stars review to 5-stars. My original 4-stars was simply because I had not had any experience with them handling difficult issues. Recently, they had re-worked on a problem that I know other mechanics would have used to fleece their customers. Steve, the consummate professional, asked from my patience and had his mechanic work on the problem an additional 2 weeks until it was solved. (This is a classic car and not my primary transportation.) He didnt attempt to charge me extra for this fix stating that they never double-charge for their work. He also said, Youre more important to me than money. His sentiment is genuine and heartfelt. They really do care about their customers and treat them like family! Im extremely impressed by the team at this Lee Myles location.
I can see why the reviews here are high. Steve and staff are experienced and very good at customer service. My transmission was rebuilt here, and I got my car back earlier than expected. I will be a returning customer!
I took my van in when my transmission was on its way out, it waa a reslly old van and the transmission had never been taken care of They did a repair that they said would hold a few months but then Id need a replacement which wasnt worth the cost considering the age of the van. It held for three more years. These guys are great. Im bringing my new car here for regular servicing.

However, the guys at Lee myles are very knowledgeable, respectful, and fast! Ive been back several times since my first visit and recommend them to everyone who asks!
Ive been taking my car to Lee Myles Transmissions in Hollis since the beginning of the year after my father recommended them. Joe and all the mechanics there have always been up front about my services and I never feel like Im being over-charged or told to make unnecessary or non-urgent repairs, and my car has always been serviced in a reasonable amount of time.
It is not easy to find an honest professional car mechanic in NY, And I finely found one. Joe Pizzonia is super nice and super professional, this is my 2nd time at his shop. I have 2 other cars and definitely will go there whenever I need. Thank you Joe.
