Best place for great quality service at an affordable price. Went to get my check engine issues resolved and they made quick work of it. I returned again as a new issue arrised and they gave another smoke test for free. Got the job done even quicker too. They also offer financing options if you cant pay in full right away, which is very convenient in a pinch. The receptionists are also very professional, showing great knowledge and hospitality. Definitely recommend this location if youre in the need for some repairs!

These are the biggest scammers Ive ever met, a few years ago I took my Nissan for a transmission, short story, they charged me 3,000 to repair it, it lasted 1 year and I took it back to be fixed and they came up with a lot of excuses. Maybe it was another car problem, so my advice is, find another place where you can get it fixed for 1,200 to 1,500.

Transmissions are complex. If I have learned one thing over the past few months it is just that. When you make a decision to replace or repair your transmission its not only a big decision to weigh, but additionally a costly one. Its not a choice to take lightly, and when choosing a shop, choose wisely. I can honestly say its been a bumpy path getting back on the road, but I still do believe that in going with Aamco, I chose wisely. From the minute Will (the owner) offered me a courtesy tow to get my vehicle in for a free assessment, until my most recent follow up visit, the man has stood behind his word. A word he guaranteed that he would do the very best he could, and that he would do everything within reason to solve the problem (and in my case, the MANY spin off problems) that may occur. What can I say? Will, Anthony, Marissa will not only do their very best, but they will do so even when it means their own shop may be taking a hit, to see a job through. Or may not make the margin they had originally expected, they re not just band-aid placers, they fix problems. Has it been a PITA? 100%. But have they done their very best to get this PITA corrected? 110%. 150% I think. I cant speak on all of their car services, but they do offer complete car care, and my guess is whatever they do, they do it fully, they do it well & with a satisfaction guarantee (until theyve exhausted all possible options.) So if you have any car issues, old or new, big or small, Aamco on Jericho Trpk in Huntington Station is a great destination for you & your vehicle. Lastly, they re not the cheapest shop in town, but would you want to take your precious investment to a cheap shop? If you re having transmission work, in my guess it s likely SOMETHING may spring up. And it s that extra cost, those extra hours you may need to follow up, that extra phone call or swing by the shop, that s worth each penny. And I WILL tell you, if you need to pop in, Anthony will do his VERY best to drop whatever he can to help you. WITHIN REASON. Thank you Will, Marissa and Anthony (the Master Tech who has MANY MANY years of knowledge under his belt) The man will NOT stop until its right. That i WILL say.

Most people know you bring your car to AAMCO if you need someone with the expertise to repair or replace your transmission, but AAMCO of Huntington performed myriad non-transmission repairs to my 2 daughters 18 year-old Volvo wagon, replaced timing belt, water pump & bunch of other stuff & it now runs beautifully, has no dash warning lights & easily passed state inspection. Discovered the owner used to work for Mercedes Benz in both LA & Manhattan, specializes in Mercedes repair & his master tech is a mechanical wizard. When a handbrake adjustment failed, they replaced the entire mechanism with a new part and insisted it was on them, that they wanted my daughters (& me) to be 100% happy. Honest & fair. Highly recommend this place for all types of car repairs!

We are retired and traveling in our RV. The hydraulic hose for the power steering and engine fan broke and we lost our steering and overheated. Luckily we pulled into a parking lot right by AAMCO. Marissa in the office was so sweet and explained our situation to the mechanic. He made room for us and went to work almost immediately , even going to another shop to have the new hydraulic hose made for us. They were life savers and extremely friendly, professional and thoughtful.

I don t normally post reviews, I normally do many repairs myself but with that said William and Anthony the owners of this repair shop Aamco station diagnosed my issue with my Mazda CX 9 and gave me many options it took me about two weeks before I finally decided to have them install a used transmission ( too big of a job for me to do ) that I found they were very patient and willing to work with me in anyway I wanted to have this repair completed When my wife s Mercedes check engine light went on due to the fact that both William and Anthony are master Mercedes mechanics I decided to bring the car in after having Huntington Mercedes look at it and want to charge me a whopping $7500 William discovered the car would be covered under a lawsuit campaign and that my Vin number would be coming up shortly allowing me to have these repairs done at no cost to me . For the first time ever I feel like I have found a repair shop that is not out to gouge or rip people off but rather be fair and honest I would recommend the shop to anyone regards

We took our car to another mechanic who said we needed a whole new transmission that would cost between 7 and 9 thousand. Thank God for William at this Aamco without question they towed the car to their location and let us know we did not need a whole new transmission they figured out what the problem truly was and the amount was significantly cheaper. Amazed at the professionalism and honesty of this company. Needless to say we will be returning to this Aamco with any other issues. Nothing better than finding a trustworthy honest mechanic. Would recommend to anyone.

The team of AAMCO Transmission is a delight to do business with. I have a 43 year old euro spec Mercedes 300d that was brought back from death 2X thanks to AAMCO. The automatic transmission reverse gear died. When I brought it in I was promptly notified that a rebuild was way to costly even if parts were available. I was able to find a 4spd Man and had it delivered to AAMCO. I am so happy it is fixed and it runs better than ever. They were so patient and honorable. Not soon after I had a crazy electrical failure that was so bad it had to be towed. Again the team at AAMCO traced it down and I am back up and enjoying my classic car. This business operates with honesty and integrity and stands behind their work.

The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and timely. I went in with a check engine light and found out i needed a new transmission. Their price was much less than the dealership and I still get a warranty on the work. Would recommend to anyone looking for reliable and down to earth service.

I brought my 2006 Acura MDX into the Huntington Station AAMCO with concerns about a transmission problem. From the onset, William was professional and on the ball. Luckily for me, the noise I was concerned about ended up only being a loose heat shield. Anthony, the technician was very informative. Best of all, William and his staff did not charge me for what they deemed something so simple. What was small for them, was huge for me! I would absolutely recommend this location to all.

I was having transmission trouble and decided to bring my truck to AAMCO in Huntington Station. Upon entering I explained my issue and they went over every scenario and what options I had. They diagnosed the problem and it turns out it was a seal and a power relay. They had me fixed up really quickly once the dealer only parts arrived. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting room and shop. I will definitely use them again in the future if I need work done

Today proved to be a great day. I was extremely skeptical in going to have my Cadillac CTS diagnosed. My dashboard kept telling displaying this message Engine Hot A/C Off I was greeted with warm hospitality, professionalism by Diane, William and Chad from corporate. I was informed what the issue that needed to be repaired, which is the coolant sensor. It was recommended that my car stay at the facility for early morning repairs. I have great faith and trust that AAMCO will live up to their stellar reputation. More reviews after the completion of repairs.

Would highly recommend this shop. I was heading upstate when I had some transmission issues so I ended up having to find a hotel and stay the night so I could figure out what to do the next morning. I called around to a few places, none were able to help. When I called AAMCO I spoke with William (the owner), he was very nice on the phone and understanding and said bring it right in and they would take a look. They quickly took it in when I got there and did a diagnostic on the computer and checked over the vehicle. They had it for about an hour then William came in and let me know what was going on with the car and if he thought it would be ok to continue to drive home or get services. I decided I was going to drive it home and he didn t even charge me for the scan and time they put into the vehicle. I am very impressed with the service received and if I lived in the area would definitely bring my car to them for service. I am not just saying that because of the service I received too, while I was in the waiting room I heard them going to bat for one of their customers, they had ordered a part from a vendor and somehow the vendor s ordering software had a glitch, they were fighting to get that vendor to understand how important it was for there customer to get their car completed and the vendor ended up expressing the shipment because of the vendors mistake. Both the lady at the main desk and the owner were on the phone working hard to make sure their customer was taken care of, like I said above if I was in the area I would take my car to this shop because of this experience. Highly recommend!

Great auto repair shop. They handle all your auto repair needs not just transmissions. From the time I walked in and talked with Dianna who is incredibly knowledgeable and speaking with the owner Will I felt very comfortable having them work on my car. The waiting room is beautiful and clean which is a nice change (its was like going to a dealership to have my car worked on but not having to pay dealer prices). All the mechanics there are very professional and super knowledgable. I will definitely be coming here from now on!! Great experience all around.

Had some issues with my truck, brought it to Will and his team at AAMCO. Got first class treatment, they were attentive, they waiting area was clean and comfortable and they had me back on the road in no time. They will now be the one place I bring my vehicles for any maintenance or repairs.

You can not find a more honest shop on the Island! Been bribing my personal and commercial vehicles here since they opened, took a chance and was happily surprised, since then, I won t go anywhere else. Had an issue I thought was going to be huge, it turned out to be extremely minor, they could have robbed me but didn t!!!!! A+ customer service. They fix it right the first time unlike the last shop I was using! Very happy with them!!!!!!

I brought my car in for a clutch job. The shop did great work. Diane was great. She explained everything the shop would do with the job and went as far as staying late so that I could pick up my car on Saturday so that I would have it for work on Monday. I will definitely use the shop again.

Not even sure where to begin, as William and his family/facility stand on a pedestal far above others in the industry, and are in a league of their own. Kudos all around to this unique, shining star. Outstanding and absolutely terrific service from beginning to end. Now, lets get to my wifes and my personal experience with William and his Aamco family. We very recently purchased a Toyota 4Runner from a used car dealer, and shortly thereafter discovered that there may be an issue with the transmission (especially in reverse, because it was shuddering and slipping). As recommended by several mechanics in our area... they all said to go see William at Aamco. So, we did exactly that. My wife took the Toyota there and William personally test drove it, and said that it looks like there could be a transmission issue, and/or a couple of other things. William requested to leave the vehicle for about an hour so he and his team could take a deeper look. By the way, they do much, much more than just amazing transmission-related work. My wife came home and told me, and after calling William, I said that we should go back and leave the truck with him to have a more in-depth look, especially since we may be stuck with a lemon vehicle, having a defective transmission... and if so, then we would attempt to return the vehicle to the dealer for a full refund. I cannot even begin to describe the level of professionalism, very extensive auto-knowledge, courtesy, and patience that William and his team possess and portray. Pretty amazing stuff. William told us that, in addition to the transmission issue, he and his team would perform a full-point inspection of the vehicle to determine if there are other underlying issues with the used suv we had just bought... and at no charge to us. Yes, you heard that right. There is no wonder why William and his Aamco team continue to get the most stellar reviews... it is because they are all true. After my wife and I arrived to pick up the 4Runner, William explained everything to us verbally and in a written format. He confirmed that the transmission was defective, and he also explained several other issues with the vehicle, and recommended that we return the Toyota to the dealer in order to get a refund. Upon my asking, William even gave another inspection of the vehicle to double-check and confirm the diagnosis. Wow... pretty amazing stuff. The story has a good ending... my wife and I successfully returned the defective vehicle to the dealer for a full refund yesterday, March 16, 2020... as William recommended, as well. Trustworthy, no surprises, going beyond expected, super clean facility, personal attention taken to new heights... is what you get here. Not only was my car taken care of in a timely manner, but the price was amazing. Didn t have to deal with the annoying salesman or manager who likes to haggle and show me things I know nothing about and try to explain that I need this. I actually spoke to the OWNER of the shop.
