This people cancel my insurance without a notice, the excuse was. That I don’t drive my car enough. according to them I have to put a year 14,000 miles what a JOKE, I just have my car for personal errands. I Don’t recommend TSC, if you don’t drive your car over 14,000 miles a year, they will cancel it. Also they owe me money which I didn’t get back, the sales representative was an A$$
I would like to graciously commend TSC Direct for believing in my credit worthiness and offering me insurance at an affordable rate, when no one else would. After 8 months my credit is up, now I get calls talking about how the big 5 insurance companies can save me money. I respectfully decline your offers. I’m sticking with TSC Direct because they stuck with me. Credit looking good NO traffic tickets, No DUI’s Good Driving Record. Brand new car with less than 3,000 miles in 6 months. I’m Good!! Than You again a TSC you have a customer for life. New Yorkers Reach Out To Them Could Save You $$$$.
Do not waste your time with this fake insurance company! I had home owners insurance with this company for many years only to be canceled after my first claim. I then decided to give them another try as they reached out to me for car insurance. And sure enough, Once again, my policy was canceled a month later. I had insurance with Nation Wide and I wasn’t looking to switch I was happy with Nation Wide. I only switched because I was solicited by one of their sales people and the offer was too good to pass up. It was too good to be true!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!
Avoid the time lost and headaches dealing with them. They lure you in , then only to throw you away. They have a horrible process of determining whether they want to insure an individual for car insurance. I had switched hoping to lower my insurance cost. I took time and answered all their questionnaire and provided all information they requested to set up a policy. Then I had to take a day off to go to one of their inspection locations to show the condition and status of the car, so they could take photos of the car, in order to confirm OKAY covering my car under their insurance. After all that time and effort, less than two months later my policy was CANCELLED by their underwriting department because of an incident that was not my fault (a car side-swiped me and drove away). Luckily, I got the person's plate# and called my insurance right away to report and they did estimate and that hit-n-run car's insurance covered all damages). They also told me they canceled covering me, because of the high mileage from the previous year, which was my first year owning the car and wanted to enjoy driving anywhere on weekends and vacations away from home, they said they can't risk covering that mileage. I estimated my mileage best as I'd expected upon competing their questionnaire from that point on. It's unfair to judge my mileage on that one year and then to cancel me because of that. For better business/underwriter practice, they should allow the new year under my coverage to take place, and would have seen that my mileage was within what I put on the questionnaire. If at that point only after the year, if it went beyond what they covered me, then I would understand why they would cancel me. VERY POOR business practice and don't see how they can sustain keeping clients. Also, as I had paid a full year's fee in advance, I had to chase them down for my prorated refund. It took them over 6-weeks to receive my prorated refund check......thankfully their check did not bounce.... I certainly would never refer them to any of my family nor friends.
Horrible insurance company. Horrible customer service. I received the offer by mail from this company and they offered an auto insurance.It was kind of a good deal and since my current auto policy with another company was going to expired very soon I decided to change a company. I picked my coverage up and filled the application. The application was sent and I got back that the representative was going to contact me shortly. I was waiting for about 2 hours but never got back.It was about 6 p.m. already and I called up to the company. The lady told me that all representatives finished their work for that day and if she could find somebody he or she was going to give me a call. I got a call two days later only and since I was in the middle of something I couldn’t take their call. They just left a message asking call them back. However, the other day I got a letter by mail from the company explaining that they can not provide me with an auto insurance because of “excessive daily usage/ mileage is not within underwriting standard..” When I was filling out my application I pointed out that I drive about 10-12K per year....😂😂 So stay away from this insurance company. UPDATE: I've just read the comment that the company wrote after my review and I'd like to add some information, particularly about their "competitive rates" and some of my background information. So their rate just $15 less Geico's rate but nothing comparison with customer service and usability of the web site. Also, I don't really understand what's kind of risks they are talking about. I've never been involved in an car accident and I have no any traffic tickets...
TSC is simply the best. I have been with them for over 15 years. While we were at the dealership leasing our new car they were quick and responsive to get us the best coverage at the best price. The customer service is outstanding. Highly recommend checking them out if you need to insure your car.
Had them for car insurance for many years. Clean driving record. They decided to not renew me because I work ten miles away!? They told me I drive too many miles to work?! Also they were always asking for my credit score every year to renew? I don't see how that's relevant or legal. They did me a favor. I had legit great car insurance now. Good riddens TSC Direct.
If you have a good driving and insurance record, TSC will save you lots of money! I've been with TSC for almost 10 years and the service has been outstanding. I've made changes to my policy over the years, all has been great. No complaints here. They have a friendly staff, pleasant people.

Tbh TSC was great but once the sold the company and became still waters it was terrible. And trust me I can go on about it but we d be here for days .

Well, I just switched auto insurance to TSC Direct. I had been with my previous carrier for almost 15 years, but they have raised the premium to much. So now I will give TSC a try although they seem picky on who they take and process was a little long. Hopefully it works out and I can give them 5 stars.
SO FAR INSURANCE BEEN OK AND REASONABLE PRICING BEEN WITH THEM 18 TO 19 YEARS GREAT PERSONAL HAVENT HAD ANY PROBLEMS...
They offer good rates but they are connected to a network. The standard companies will think that you dont have insurance because of this.
This is my Auto and home insurance. They are great and inexpensive, the only catch is you have to be accident and ticket free for at least 3-5 years. But their rates are great if you are for full coverage.
been with them for 8 years no tickets no accidents been driving for over 30 years no tickets or accidents they have raised my rates 700 dollars with in the past 4 years. Switched to all state same policy everything the same 600 dollars cheaper, Good drivers deserve good rates? They mean lets charge them more, Stay away

Today I applied and had the pleasure of speaking to Renee who is, in my opinion, the best customer service rep I ve ever come across! Renee was nice, knowledgeable and very informative. She let me know everything upfront so I won t have any surprise fees in the future! I know it s only the first day but so far so good! TSC has me paying $118 less (monthly) than progressive. Less money For the SAME coverages is always a plus in my book! I m looking forward to this..!!
Been with Geico for over seven years,never had a problem. Moving to TSC was the worse decision ever. This company just waste your time and money..I definitely wont recommend anyone I know to them.

I just switched to TSC Direct from Gieco. I like that the policy is for a year and not 6 months. Gives me less to think about for a whole year. And for using auto pay which also gives me less to think about TSC gives $4 off for making sure my bill is paid easier

I`ve never heard of this, but I did all the work applying for insurance. I got a great quote and was told there would be a call from someone. Well that never happened. I again filled out another free quote the next day and was told the same thing. I got the call, I said great. I was then asked a few questions and told they could not give me insurance. Reason, I DID NOT DRIVE ENOUGH. Please, someone tell me the reasoning behind this!!!!!

I opened a policy with them for about 200 dollars a month lasted about two months only to find out after they canceled the policy on me because they say, they didnt accept my type of car and when I tried to switch companys i had to pay alot more because they canceled on me and I had about a week of a insurance gap and I called to see if they could help somehow and they said they couldnt do anything
HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I told them I was no longer interested after doing my own research on them and seeing they have been scamming people and canceling their insurance after a month! They continued to call me I had to block their number and they started calling me PRIVATE I never really leave reviews but all the signs are there! Do not ignore them just for a cheaper route that will end up costing you more in the long run! .. RUN!

This company sends letters to customers containing false contact information. Three months into coverage, they write asking for documentation of things they secured during the credit check. One cannot reach them by phone through ANY of the numbers on their own letterhead. Their agents lie about the nature of their discounts. On what planet is this good service? The savings doesnt seem to be worth the drama.
Very unprofessional when I request my quote they say I need to pay certain amount at month I found very reasonable but after one month they send me a letter on a Friday saying they give me till Monday to send proof that I was insurance at least 2 years in the other company if I dont send that by that day the will revoke my insurance... I found that dumb because who will get all that info that they are asking on a weekend when the insurance company is closed.. and after a week they decide by themselves to increase my insurance 160 dollars more without telling me and I found out when the bank notify that they withdraw 385 dollars from my bank account.
Id thought the apple in their logo is what made them new Yorkers. But fortunately I was wrong. Its their Ratish ways. Stay away from this insurance company at all cost
TSC processed my claim in a matter of days. No problems at all. Also this company has the best rates. I cant find one company that serves the NYC area with a better rate. Example: two cars full coverage only $3,000 a year. Try and beat that.
Laughable customer service. Canceled my auto insurance policy with four days notice. Don t waste your time with this clown company. My story seems eerily similar to previous reviewers so I ll spare it.

I have had this insurance for 3 years now i only pay $98/month for full coverage i see a lot of bad reviews about getting cancelled This ins co underwrites for people that dont drive much i drive less then 5 miles total to work this ins is for people that drive 7500-10k a yr recently a city plow clipped my car the company was very quick to help me get it repaired i recommend for people if they have a clean driving record and dont drive much as this is a strict insurance company

I think a Monkey is running their underwriting department. They Canceled me for buying an investment property I have not moved into yet. I still currently. apparently you need to give them a play by play of your business endeavors.

Their price is great thats why 2 stars.. service is horrible, they want insurance policy information about other people living in the house even if you are renting, once you provide that they want driving license information of those people who are not their customers, which is clearly pointless.... very shady...why would you want other people license information even after I provided their insurance information..some of the customer service representatives on phone is extremely rude too.. Im already looking for other options..

KEEP AWAY FROM TSC Direct!!! I switched to TSC from GEICO to save about 30% on car insurance. I provided all information they requested to set up the policy. Two months later my policy was CANCELLED by their underwriting department because my wife has a learners permit. Now if I get back to GEICO my policy premium will go up 50% from the previous due to coverage interruption. All insurance companies quote higher premiums when you are not continuously covered with the same insurer. Thats a HORRIBLE business by TSC. I wonder how many other customers lost their money because their policy was cancelled by TSC.. KEEP AWAY!

Car was damaged in Shopping center parking lot (Target) on passenger side . It was sideswiped while I was in store. Called TSC & reported incident, who in turn sent inspector to body shop. Claim was settled & car repaired. Great job TSC.

They want to know everything about you including last time you went to bathroom. Then they decided because a family member lives in the same building but different apartment they can t insure you. But if you want to put that person on they say they can t because they don t live with you. And when I looked at the positive reviews talking about how nice Oliver was or other reps I decided to call and ask to speak to them guess what they have no one working there by that name.So it tells me that the good reviews are bogus probably from within the company

It was very easy to make a claim and get approval to replace a cracked window. Safelite came to the house and replaced the window in less than an hour. The tech was courteous and very professional.

Based on there rates they re good but I m giving it one star because of the underwriting team! Very annoying and will change your monthly payment whenever they feel like it. They ask for so much information and details it s ridiculous. Once you tell them too much information you can t back track or they ll need a notarized letter. I will be going back to Allstate.

do not waste your time making this insurance. I paid for a year of insurance, but after a few months they sent mail where they need more information. I did it on the mail and online! after they sent me a mail where my Insurance is canceled. I there are no accidents and tickets for my entire experience of driving 5 years. I am willing to pay more at another insurance company but not have to deal with this cheap insurance company anymore. I will advise all my friends not to waste their time using this insurance company.
Communication with the insurance company was easy and available. My idea about the process was made understandable and ready to follow and I got results . If you are doing a claim you should make it a point to keep informed and be able to rely on the rep for guidance and procedures used to have the people aware of you intent to get this done in your own way.

Listen to other people: do not waste your time! They will ask for so much information and maybe the last time you had a coffee! I sent all infos and after 3 emails and a lot of phone calls, they said they cant do it because I do not have 18 consecutive months of insurance in New York! You should have start with that before wasting my time providing documents!! They even want to know the address of the company financing your car ! Very bad company...the star is only because you cant do it another way but my real rate for them is ZERO! I also confirm that good reviews are fake!
From the moment that I called in to TSC direct and told the young lady I was involved in an accident I was made sure that as long as I was okay. She was there to help me go through the process of what to do with paperwork etc. I would say she really calmed me. Also a nice gentleman followed through with questions that I had. TSC Direct is the one place to purchase your insurance.

My first time putting in a claim so I was not sure how long or how much time it will take. Talk to TSC on a Thursday by next Monday the Adjuster came to see my truck took the pictures and information, in less than a week my claim was approved. Excellent job.
They insured my car for a month then cancelled my policy because a previous claim wasting my time and money why even create the policy to begin with! And because I canceled my Geico policy to start theirs Geico is now charging me more money then when I left them. Screw this place

I truly appreciate the hospitality that is shown by the staff at TSC Direct. There was never a time my questions werent answered or my problem resolved. New York City insurance companies are everywhere, but TSC shows what quality of service looks like.
I was with T.S.C Direct over 10 years never no claims they kept every dime I gave them cause im a good driver .I moved and my son kept my old apartment where he lives with his fiancee .They owe me 200 bucks for the last payment I made at that address .They just sent me a letter from some lawyers firm saying I owe them over 400 bucks.My sons dmv address and mine are up to date and are different and they are trying to collect money from me when I paid tsc the money for my policy before I moved.keep in mind me and my sons addresses are different legally as per dmv records .dont let them rip you off .I talked to geico and im back with them thank god.stay away from tsc .trust me ..

This company accepted my application and insured me for one month. I explained that I was commuting to Huntington last year and during this new school year I was commuting to Medford. They never explained that would need current proof of mileage, and I sent them a copy of my most recent inspection. However, they want me to produce proof of mileage from a time frame directly before or after this inspection, and I had no service done at that time. They will not enable me to provide proof of current mileage as I have only been working in Medford for 7 months. They cancelled my insurance due to excessive mileage since I provided proof that 6 to 12 months ago I was commuting to Huntington. A very poor experience.

First things first this company and underwriters can eat a Frank, Please save your time with this company, every day you will receive a letter about more information, they wanna know how much you weight, how many times you eat a day, they wanna know your what color underwear you have on. I never had a insurance company that was so annoying. For the annoyance the prices should be lower, I can get a policy at any other company and be left alone as long as I pay, I live in nyc I got more important things to deal with that to play phone tag with you bums
