Ii brought my car to Brown's collision in Johnstown NY on 12/16/2024. Bobby the manager said that I would have my car back by Christmas Eve. I called on Christmas Eve and he told me that my car would be ready 2 days later. I called 2 days later and was told that my car would be ready another week later. I got my car back and it was still broken. I brought my car back. Now it's January 7th 2025. I still don't have my car back. Bobby has lied Every time I talked to him. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR HERE AGAIN.
I got hit at an intersection and Browns did the work on my F-150. They were pleasant and easy to work with. The work was done quickly and you could never tell that anything ever happened to my vehicle when they were finished. A+ service!
A car pulled out in front of my wife and she T-boned them. Thankfully there was minimal damage (a cracked headlight and scratched bumper sums it up). We filed a claim against the other drivers insurance (Progressive) and they said this is the closest place to us. While we know we have other options (and rights under the law), we decided to give Brown's a call to see what their process is and how quickly they can get us in. It was pretty straightforward. I stopped by so they could verify the quote we got from Progressive. I'm pretty sure I spoke with Bobby (if you see this, I still have your card here - somewhere) and we went to look at the car. He looked at the paperwork from Progressive. Then he looked at the car. Paperwork. Car. He wanted to verify if a piece came with the headlight assembly to make sure the quote was accurate, so we went back inside and spent two minutes looking. (It came with it.) He was happy with the quote. We were happy that neither my wife or I had to be the middleman. Bobby let me know that they would go ahead and order all the parts after I signed whatever the paperwork was called (pretty much confirming they would be the ones doing repairs) and once they arrive he'll give us a call. About a week later we got the call saying parts were in. We dropped the car off on a Tuesday afternoon. That next Monday we were picking it up. The repairs look great and they even semi-detailed the car - an added bonus for sure! Photos are currently only the before. I keep forgetting to get after pictures.
This shop was recommended by my sister's insurance company after she hit a deer. Body repair was good, but as soon as I opened up the hood there were a few things I noticed pretty quickly that they forgot to do including plugging electrical components back in, not putting clamps back on the radiator hose...and apparently cutting the 1/4 inch coolant reservoir hose in half and forgetting to replace it,so meanwhile there's coolant leaking all over the driveway and if I didn't catch it she would have kept driving it until she overheated and blew up her motor. I would suggest you do a drug test on your employees... That's unacceptable
Brought my truck here after hitting a deer. Frank and Bobby were great to work with. They worked my insurance directly, and repairs were done fast and easy. After the repairs were done I heard a noise from the repaired area, I called the shop and they got me right in and free of charge. They did a very good job and I highly recommend.
They had my car done quickly, and I needed an early pick up time due to having to go out of town. My car is fantastic! I'd recommend them to everyone especially those of us who seem to get hit by deer in the park. The whole team answered questions and kept me informed. I even got to turn my rental in 10 days early.
Ok so a deer ran into my car,most people say " I hit a deer" nope, deer ran into me on the highway. I was amazing calm upon impact,my NYC upbring paid off. I was able to drive home safely I called Browns Collision for the first time, they towed from my home to their shop and did some amazing work, so far so good wow, they really hooked up my "Babushka" my name for my car. I received a complete breakdown of all the work and original Toyota parts and was called and told about the process and the paint job is perfect.Browns even took care of returning my rental. I highly recommend Browns Collision for all your crash work and the coffee mug gift was great also. I'm back on the road in a much needed and appreciated gas saving car.Please see before and after pics
I took my Ford Taurus for a repair to my car door. The service was friendly and professional. They got me right in and my car was ready in just a couple days time with quality workmanship. I would highly recommend them.

Attention to detail is non-existent. Vehicle went back 4 times to correct obvious issues. All uncalled for. Seemed like outright laziness.

I needed a repair to my car due to hitting a deer. When I brought my car there to get an estimate, you felt most welcome. They got all my parts and repaired the car quickly. When I came in to get my car and saw what a great repair was done and the car was totally detailed. Wonderful. I highly recommend them to do repair work done.

I was extremely impressed with the customer service, on the phone and in person. You dont get that anywhere anymore. They were kind, pleasant and answered every question. I am very satisfied with the work that was done on my vehicle as well. I would recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever!

Smashed a deer with my ram 1500, 2 weeks and they had it looking like brand new again. I hope to hell I dont have to do it again but if I do I would certainly use browns collision.
Stay away unless you want to pay outrageous prices for work that was under warrsnty.

I had to come here for a photo inspection of my car for the insurance company. It was fast and service was friendly. I went on a Saturday to have this done since I work Monday to Friday and by the time I get back to town places are closed. Which made this very convenient for me. Very professional about how they do service with you.
Very professional and reliable work
Told me my 2005 truck needed an engine, with less than 100k on it. Charged me $400 for diag. Sold the truck cheap only to find out it was a broken cam chain tensioner. Not happy about being lied to and charge for it
My daughter damaged the vehicle that she drives. Bobby Hulbert IMMEDIATELY searched and found me the parts and got them and the vehicle into their shop! From the collision to repair and back to us, less than a week! They did a GREAT job and did it VERY reasonably!!!

We purchased an new Escape from Browns Johnstown dealership. We requested pin striping be put on the vehicle. The pinstripes were perfectly affixed to my new car. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It was such a positive experience. We would highly recommend the dealership.
I recently had a minor accident with my 2014 Chevy pick up truck .I was instructed by my insurance company to go to Browns Collision Center for a repair estimate. Robert Hulbert took many pictures of the truck and wrote up the estimate . Within two days , my insurance company gave the approval, based on his estimate , to authorize the repairs. The parts were ordered and the work was scheduled. Robert Hulbert helped set up a rental vehicle for me through Enterprise Rental of Amsterdam. Less than two weeks from the accident, all repairs were completed. The body shop at Browns Ford did an excellent job. Robert was extremely professional and helpful in making sure that all the repairs were done to my satisfaction. Mike Muzzi

I got to say, these good old boys that run this shop do a great job. They dont make you wait around weeks to get it done. 5 days job done. And if you notice anything wrong. They will bring it in back into the shop and fix it.

Took my car to get inspected note its a 2016 and they gave me a hole list of things wrong and i had it looked at some where eles and they said nothing was wrong with the car other than a light out and browns missed that!
Had water pump replaced. Was under warranty and was covered. Also installed radiator hose.
Progressive certified shop, so repairs are guaranteed. Service shop employees were really helpful and kept me up to date on repairs. Recommend them whole heartedly.
