Ensign Autobody in Latham

My experience with this auto body shop was very unpleasant. I dropped my vehicle off for repair 9/30 and emailed a photo estimate the same day. I was told that a supplement would be submitted to my insurance company. After calling my insurance company almost every day to see if anything was submitted, my insurance company tells me that there was never a supplement submitted. I called ensign 10/4 to inform them that my insurance company did not see a request so finally someone over at ensign submits the supplement. My car sat there for a whole entire week without any work being done while I’m paying for a rental for no reason at all. It seems as if there was no sense of urgency on their part to get the job done from the start. I picked my vehicle up yesterday and moved on to a different auto body shop. I would not recommend this shop if you are looking to get things done with in a reasonable amount of time.

Bob, Eric and team did an amazing job on repairing my car after a front end collision. Car came out great and the customer experience was great too. Thanks again everyone.

Bob and his team do amazing work. Bob is very customer service oriented and takes tremendous pride in his work. He also takes the time to get to know his customers. Ensign employs truly skilled auto body experts, who care about the vehicles they are working on. They win national-level restoration competitions, which is why I brought my rare Jaguar to them for a repair in which I was hit by another driver at fault. Bob Ensign has a deep knowledge of insurance law, and foresaw the techniques the insurance company would use to try to avoid covering the correct repairs to my vehicle. He used his experience and patience to make sure they would cover my repairs, which they originally scoffed at as being unnecessary. The whole insurance experience was smooth, and in Bob's hands I was confident that no corners would be cut in the repairs or the insurance payment. If you care about your vehicle, and especially if you drive something special, I would recommend Ensign over any other shop.
