Avoid if you value your time. Called ahead to ensure I could avoid waiting and was told to arrive at a specific time. Left work to have car looked at at agreed upon time and was told I would have to wait. Waited for an hour then had to leave.

Being completely honest this has been my go too shop for the past 6 years The management here may get some bad rep but the mechanics are truly good people Ive never been riped off never been blindsided never been lied or scammed I trust these guys with any car I bring its always done in a timely fashion and its done right I truly appreciate the group of guys who work here when I was driving uber they always treated my car well replaced my transmission never had an issue next time I stop by I gota bring them some Little Ceasars I appreciate yall frfr saved my butt many times awesome guys 10/10 I highly recommend

The guys at this shop were amazing and really helped me out of a bind. I was just passing through town and blew the fuel rail. This was the first place that I called and I got right in. They got me in right away and had the problem diagnosed within an hour. They gave me the estimate, ordered the parts and had me back on the road in the same day. Everyone that I worked with was professional and helpful. I highly recommend this shop for any service work.

I spent a lot of time and money in this garage and I ve given them a lot of repeat business. But lately it seems the service has gone downhill. There s nosay do ratio. I ve made appointments, left my car there the night before, and specified when I needed to have the car back only to find out they totally disregarded it. This is happened more than once. I m not gonna complain. I m just gonna take my business elsewhere.

Sean and his team are LIFESAVERS. I was mid road trip from South Carolina to Cape Cod and my check oil light came on after I JUST got it changed. I was panicked and Sean immediately took a look and diagnosed the problem and had me in and out within half hour. It is so bleeping amazing to see someone care and treat their customers with such niceness and consideration. If I lived in NY they would be my go to!!! CANT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH!!

Ed went above and beyond to support my needs. I cave in for a regular oil change, and tune up. But he was able to see my tires needed to be changed due to I needed an inspection and have me an awesome deal on an alignment. Since I want expecting to to spend more than I plane he intuitive me to the MIDAS CREDIT CARD. This guy. Saved me a ton 6 months interest free and all of it in under an hour- alignment, tires changes(in stock) , inspection and tune up!! Whaaat. . Management s treatment of mechanic was upsetting!! I brought my car to Midas at 1008 Troy Schenectady Rd. Shawn called with the needed repairs at noon & said it would be done by 4:30. $4900 in repairs in 4 1/2 hours?? I called at 5pm and was told , It will be done by the time you get here. That was a flat out lie. I sat there for an hour and 45 minutes -(45 minutes of which was after the shop closed ) The whole time the two guys who made all the promises sat around while the mechanic was trying to fulfill management s untruthful claims about the completion timeframe. Neither guy who made the promises did anything but blame the mechanic and and speak unprofessionally about him. REALLY ??? After 90 minutes I asked why they lied to me and was told we dont want your car in the lot overnight. (Well they left it in the lot all day Thursday and Thursday night before it was ever even looked at on Friday.) If mgmt will admittedly be untruthful and lay the fault on the ONE guy actually working. SHAME ON YOU!!! I didn t realize I was paying $4900 to be lied to. Thanks to the skilled and hard working MECHANIC - my vehicle is just like new The way mgmt treats staff speaks volumes about character.

I come here to get my oil change in my 2020 Toyota Corolla. They re extremely thorough and send you an in depth checklist of their inspection of you far complete with pictures. I came in at 5 o clock before Memorial Day weekend and they were able to get my car in within minutes and diagnose the issue. Shawn and Dominic were so great! Even over the holiday weekend, they were willing to take the car in and fix it as quickly as possible.

Classic example of broad daylight robbery. Went here to fix my car AC problem and clearly told them that I there is a leak and compressor is bad. They temporarily recharged the gas and hide the details that my compressor is gone and said its great now! After 3 days, the gas leaked completely and I get dry hot air from AC vents. Best snake oil salesman!

I came here for four new tires, New York State inspection, and a full-service oil change. Definitely was done in a reasonable time in the car was as clean, coming out as it went in, which is not common nowadays. Normally fingerprints on the hood on the door steering wheel door panel drives me crazy not here. Definitely recommend these people at this location only at the moment. Thank you for a great service and priced accordingly.

I brought my car to the Latham Midas for inspection. I knew dropping it off that I needed at least 2 new tires. Shawn was great and let me know the only thing my car needed was 2 front tires, alignment and he suggested I change my filters. My car was done quickly. I ve used this shop before and they ve never tried selling me something I didn t need. Thank you, Shawn and others at Latham Midas!

They claim to rotate tires, top off fluids, check brakes etc. They do none of it. I wrote on my tire it was not rotated. They did not top off any fluids. And all they did was take one hour to change my oil. Will not return.

The manager Keven told me to f off when I asked them to balance my tires. Other staff gave me the finger.

Upon Midas s review, they came back with a quote for thousands in parts replacements including brake pads, rotors, calipers, etc. I declined service and went elsewhere for another option. The entire cause of the noise was a brake dust shield! An insignificant part!! Rotors were fine and brake pads were fine and calipers were not sticking. Total fraud here.This place should be shut down! Scammers.

Ive been going to this location for a little over 2 years now. Prices are standard to alot of other shops Ive searched. The customer service Ive received for all of the fellas there has been good. I doing keep coming back because of Shawn and José. Theyve been great about getting the work on my truck done fast but not rushed, so I trust the work done.

Bf brought my jeep in for a tire swap to winter tires. During the process of swapping my tires, they did a complimentary inspection where they LOST SCREWS to my air box. To fix their mistake, they FORCED RANDOM SCREWS INTO THE HOLES. The tech didnt bother to say anything about screwing anything up and when asked about the screws that didnt belong there, said theyre screws as if every screw is the same. Maybe next time instead of doing PERMANENT DAMAGE to someones vehicle, you dont touch things youre not working on. Those holes are now permanently ruined because of this. And to make things worse, nothing was done to rectify this problem. Just pay and get out. If you value your vehicle AT ALL you wont ever bring it to these people. I will never be back and I will spread the word through the community of what happened today.

Visited with our new fleet vehicle for work. The staff was nice however, don t not ask them to put on the registration sticker they really jacket that up. For this being a brand new vehicle, it looks very messy, that s unfortunate.

Called Sean at Midas in Latham, NY with an emergency. The brakes weren t stopping well, and I had to leave for Syracuse by noon. He asked me to bring the car in immediately. I was there within 15 minutes, and he had the car in the garage within 15 minutes of my arrival and my car fixed within a few hours. The customer service at this location is fantastic. I will definitely come back to Midas Latham, NY, when I need automotive care.

Loved it when the other Sean worked there

Took my car here for an alignment and then one week later my car came out of alignment. When I took it back they said they needed to balance the tires (WHICH THEY CHARGED ME FOR WHEN IT SHOULDVE BEEN DONE WITH THE ALIGNMENT). Okay, fine, I let them balance the tires. Then once again my car fell out of alignment. Took my car to a different mechanic who said it didn t look like anyone had done an alignment on my car. Called Midas and they told me to bring it in again and guess what? Not even a week later after the 2nd alignment my car was pulling left again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. A waste of money and countless hours of waiting for my car.

I recently had an issue with the tires on my truck . I called Shawn at Latham Midas and was very pleased with how my concerns were handled and the resolution of my problem. I have been a customer here for many years and will continue to be so given their excellent, pleasant and efficient service. Nightmare with Midas Latham; manager Sean treats customer like trash. Paid $1086.07 for a new steering pump but it still makes whining noise after 3 months and 5 trips. After last trip the manager said he will install another new pump after part comes. But never called me again. I had to contact Midas Consumer Relations. Midas sent me to another Midas store.

Before I went on vacation, my mechanic in PA replaced the shoes in the rear brakes. 45 minutes west of Albany on 88, in a thunderstorm, in a construction section, my brakes broke--the piston and shoes cut loose because they forgot to tighten the bolts. I limped into Albany with minimal brakes and went to Midas the next morning. The manager Shawn was incredible. Although it was a very busy day for them, he worked us in. He explained the work that he thought was needed and avoided unnecessary work and they got me back to my vacation quickly. I appreciate their quality work and highly recommend them.

We recently had to bring my daughters first car in for service, inspection and exhaust repair. Bob and the entire staff treated her with the utmost respect and professionalism. They worked to save her money and completed the job quickly and well. (Thanks again!) It s nice to know such businesses are still around with people you can count on. We ll be back!

Went to Midas on Friday 10/1/2021 to get oil change and my break fluid flushed.. Now my breaks do not work at all smh.. I called and they told me to call back Monday and bring the car in and how am I suppose to do that if I don t have any breaks

Had an appointment to swap 4 tires. 11am show up 11:40am car still not pulled in. Told its next. I leave thinking Ill come back 4 hours later and it will be done. I get there 3pm and get told the alignment machine was broke. No one called said anything. It takes maybe 1.5hours if your slow with the machines available and thats too long. So they swapped 4 tires and its going to take 30mins to align the tires because the machine was broke? They never swapped the tires or just hadnt started yet. Get served customer service answers. Try to give me a $30 coupon for an oil change. Do not accept. Will not be back again. Whole experience feels off. For $50 and some elbow grease I could have done myself in my driveway. Then drove to the monroe .25mi down the road to align.

I just had a repair of my exhaust system and replaced front and rear brakes. I was very pleased with the job. I would like to give special thanks to Sean, a very knowledgeable, helpful, and exceptional customer service representative. Sean is a credit to the Midas organization and I would recommend Midas as a result.

I highly recommend avoiding this shop. I found my car with a flat tire while I was at work and noticed a large nail sticking out of my treads... so I brought it to Midas out of convenience (down the road). I asked them to fix the tire and perform an oil change. I later picked up the car and drove home. Next day I go to my car and the same tire is flat again. Checked it out and saw the same nail still sticking out of my tire! They just put air in it and sent me on my way. This level of neglect scares me and I wont be returning.

Had an appointment scheduled fit for an inspection, waited an hour and no one came to check me in. For a simple inspection. Who knows how long a full inspection would take.

The team was up front with everything and that is appreciated. Expressed concern for safety and showed me why. Will return when needed.

Good folk, free wifi. Sometimes a little pricier but with the service and reliability of the work being done Id say its worth it. Been coming here for about 3 years on a regular basis. Ben, Sean, and the rest of the staff are great.

Shawn the manager was so very accommodating. The work was done on time. The place is clean. I have been coming here for several years now and I appreciate the friendly staff and the goid job they do. Previuos experiences at other Midas stores have been much less satisfactory.

Good for your car needs

I wouldnt recommend this site for anyone else . Weve been customs for this site for many years. Until today, my husband went to do the annual inspection for one of our cars. This car just had a full service of oil change at Midas Latham last week, including oil change, engine filter and many more services that they claimed had been done. However, our annual inspection report showed a different story.The engine filter was not changed at all. We have been charged for many services that we have never gotten and we dont know for how long. So, it is not a trustworthy place to go when you want to get your car taken care of, and we will never go there again from now on.

My 2007 car has never drove so well! Shawn and the whole Midas team were incredible. They took their time to explain to me exactly what needed to be done. Even though I needed a lot of work, they turned it around same day. I will certainly be going back.

If you re a woman and you want to feel ripped off and belittled then look no further. You might not want new tired when you arrive, after a simply oil change at Midas you ll NEED new tires. Why you might ask? That s a great question to ask your friendly neighborhood pushy salesman at Midas.

I don t typically write customer feedback on service provided. For one most of the service I have received in the past was not very customer focused...due to the repair shops lackluster service or treating me like an ATM than a valued customer. But I felt compelled to write this feedback thanking the manager and the folks at this local Midas for their outstanding customer service and help in performing a pre-purchase inspection of a certified pre-own vehicle. I am not a New York State resident, but I saw a car for sale online in the Albany area. The car was negotiated over the phone sight unseen and 90% of the purchase transaction was handled over the phone and via email. This was my first time buying any vehicle out of state sight unseen and I was expecting the worse. I needed to get an independent inspection of the vehicle since I was an out-of-state. I also needed to have the inspection completed as close to the dealership as possible as not to have any issues with the dealership delivering the vehicle for the inspection. I checked out this local Midas customer satisfaction rating and was at first very skeptical of their high ratings. I called and spoke with Jarrett the manager and asked if he could perform the independent inspection. They really took care of me and this no-notice/time sensitive request. He retuned all my calls and answered all my inquiries throughout the process. Bottom line they not only met but exceeded my expectations. Jarrett/employees at this local Midas, I want to thank you all for performing a very thorough and detailed inspection. Your efforts made this long distance transaction stress free but the long travel back home. As a customer, I have received a very valuable lesson on the right way for a repair facility to treat a customer/client. It s clear, you and your personnel are true professionals and a very valuable asset to that organization. Your customer service was simply outstanding...I wish your shop and staff was located in my state so I make you my choice for car repair. You have lived up to every bit of that high customer service satisfaction rating. And I look forward to adding my own. Thanks again for taking care of this retired military veteran.

Great customer service !

Brought my truck in to have a brake line fixed and some new brake pads. And my truck came out sounding worse. The right rest driver side grinds when coming to a complete stop. Brought it back 3 times for them to take tires off leave it sitting there all day to yell me they dont know. It deff didnt sound like that before hand . Also previous visit my fiance was driving with our 1 year old son they left Midas from getting an oil change and the truck started over heating she panicked pulled over bcuz of the baby and called me . When I got to the truck I come to realize after looking that they forgot yo out the radiator cap back on. So I had antifreeze everywhere under my hood. Still havent fixed my brakes issue either. So gonna go ahead and contact DMV. 600$ LATER MIND YOU

Avoid this place. Over priced and slow. If you go, get an itemized bill. They will tell you a bunch of nonsense and then over charge you. No wonder the country is a mess with an outfit like this. Took almost 3 hours that if i had a lift i could have done in 1 hour. Horrible experience!!!!

They did what corporate garages tend to do: try and get some poor soul to pay for unnecessary and costly repairs. I went in for a routine car inspection and, having had good luck with them in the past with my first car, decided to try them again. Admittedly, my current car is 22 years old; I didnt doubt that she needed a little TLC somewhere. As I dropped off the car, the woman at the desk said Well give you a call if it needs any repairs or if it passes. That was when I should have taken my keys back and left, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, maybe it was a slip of the tongue? Around noon, I got a call from them that my car might need some work; again, not unexpected, the car is old. I was told that my back brakes and e-brake was apparently a disaster. They wanted to replace both drums, both calipers, both brake pads, the brake line, and they wanted to flush and refill the braking fluid. How much, I dared to ask, would this be? The woman responded that, while she was uncertain, she would estimate that it would be around $1,100. I told her absolutely not and that I would be coming to pick up my car. She informed me that if that was the case, they would fail my inspection. Fine by me! I took my car to a farther away but more reputable garage and was told that while, yes, my drums were rusting and would likely need to be replaced sometime in the future, they were not so bad that I failed inspection. No mention of calipers or faulty brake lines. They passed me. My advice is stay away from Midas. Im certain that people like them and while I had good luck in the past, due to this experience I will never return. Unless you know someone there personally or know exactly what your car needs, I wouldnt even try them. As for Midas, please dont attached your copy and paste apology to this review; I dont really want to hear your bull.

Instead of fixing my car they did more damage then help... went in to get looked at after check engine light came on for only one day that week.... did the diagnostic test and said it was the transmission line. Gave the okay to fix it... fixed it but then called after fixing saying that they want to replace the transmission after doing a test drive... claimed that car was having problems when shifting gears. My car has never had problems when shifting gears and was perfectly fine when i dropped it off to get looked at.... Do NOT COME HERE... they damage cars to get more money by wanting to fix and replace things that were not broken in the beginning

Stopped for a oil change and Flush and fill. I asked Andy to check the thermostat which he was going to do anyways. It was sticking so he replaced it. Andy also noticed there was a nail/bolt in my tire. Glad he saw it, we are traveling soon and I could have been in trouble. Thank you Andy and Bob.....

Had 4 tires from TireRack shipped to this Midas and Dean was ready to install them right away. Compare this to BJs who told me that they are booked 2 weeks out even if I bought the tires from BJs. This is why this Midas is a preferred installer on TireRack. They honored the prices listed on TireRack and not a cent more. Very happy with the mounting and balancing job. Technician was very knowledgeable and explained what he did very clearly. Very nice store with ultra clean bathroom. Generous coffee/tea station with cold sodas too. Very professionally run without trying to dump unnecessary repairs on you. Definitely will be back for my other car related services. Keep up the excellent work guys.
