I was better off going to the junkyard in the bronx… made the appointment to get my windshield fixed and waited hours 5pm came they all rushed out no one to talk about glass defect in the windshield. Come back the next day to make warranty appointment. Week 1. I come in and waited for about 30 mins to tell me they’re too busy to get to me today I have to come back next week. Week 2. The technician never showed up and there’s no one to work on your vehicle today. Have to come back next week. Week 3. Waited 35 mins to tell me they don’t have the parts to get my windshield done today have to come back next week. Week 4. Technician calls me right before my appointment they ordered the wrong parts have to order it. Come back next week. Week 5 calls me and tells me the parts are In and to come in that Friday morning. I come in and they never put me in the system have to come back. Oh my god .. I’ve never had such bad customer service. They made another appointment for me but I’m choosing to cancel because I really don’t want to be jerked around anymore or have them break something on my car and have bigger issues. I don’t trust the workers there to get the job done the right way Everyone in that waiting room had an issue and problems. I don’t need anymore poor workmanship on my car Because if they messed it up again I’m not going through a whole month process of getting it fixed again and other major issues that’s gunna cost me money. I was very patient and my patience is out.

Everything seems to be good with the work they did. Pros: Making an appointment online and registering my insurance was easy. After dropping my car off, it was done sooner then they said it would be. Con: There was no overnight drop off. The key drop was sealed off even though they said I could online and when I called while sitting there the night before. Now that I was forced to show up early in the morning when they opened, online asked to show 5 - 10 minutes early for paperwork. However they kept the door locked until 5 minutes passed 8. Frustrating. Overall, the work was good but most likely will not use again.

Came into the shop for service. Was originally quoted a price online and when I came in they told me it was 100$ more for some reason. After talking to the manager they honored the online quote and even gave me a further discount on top of the original quote. I had arrived at the location 10 minutes early and I was told it would be about 2 hours, so i took a seat in the wating room then I pulled my hoodie up close my eyes 20 minutes later, gentleman came in and said, sir, your Silverado is ready. Going to the location for service has been 3 of the worst experiences of my life. Getting service from mobile safelite however from this location. 3 of the best experiences of my life. Proceed with caution. the mobile guys must be the certified techs, they have pride in their work. In the shop? They look like they are trainees who hate their job with no care what the result looks like. I left poor feedback on the txt service review and said I d get a call, nothing.

Made an appointment through my insurance company. Dropped my vehicle off the night before for an 8am appointment only to get a phone call at 11:50am saying they cant work on it because of silicone that had been applied to the windshield, and said maybe someone else can do it. Windshield replaced. Check. Customer service- not so much. Waited several days for an appointment with the Central Ave location. Arrived 30 minutes early for the appointment and the waiting room/office area reeked of cigarette smoke. Obviously the staff was smoking inside the building that morning. I could not leave my vehicle with them and risk them smoking in or near my vehicle while working on it (wife has stage 4 cancer and very sensitive to smells.) Took the vehicle to the Latham location and was told it would be 4 days before they could get to it. Not a deal breaker (holidays, days off ect.) I received numerous emails texts that the technician would be in contact with me the day of installation and keep me updated- that NEVER HAPPENED. I called several times during the day of installation and on the rare occasion a person answered the phone, I was only told it would be done today. Got the phone call at 4:45 that the car was ready. I explained that I had just returned the rental car and was in an uber on the way to pick up the vehicle but may be 1 or 2 minutes late. I was told they would leave the key in the car and no one would be there. I arrived at exactly 5:01 and as promised, the lights were off, doors were locked and not an employee in sight. Not at all comfortable with them leaving my vehicle unsecure with the keys in it. Safelight is assuming quite a bit of liability with such a practice. Had they told me at ANY POINT during the day that my car could be picked up AT 5PM I would have made plans accordingly. Instead, they wait until 15 minutes before closing to inform me my car was done and then out the door in a flash. No need to contact me as I wont be returning to Safelight for any future repairs.

We scheduked our first appointment for 1/31/24. 15 minute before the appointment the representative called and said they were short staffed and not able to come. My husband became frustrated eventually asked for a manager when the representative Josh then hung up. We called the customer service and were told a manager would call back and they never did. Today our second appointment we got an email confirming the appointment. Again my husband took a half day and no one ever showed up. We called the customer service number who tried to reach the tech and couldn t reach him. She could not give me a number for the local office and couldn t live transfer the call. I had to look it up online. Called and was placed on hold until 5pm when the call was disconnected. I called back again and the phone said to call during normal business hours. I called the 800 number and was told again to call during normal business hours.

I am giving a one star because my experience today at this location was something I never thought I d experience while just trying to get my window repaired. I had a small chip in my glass that was supposed to be repaired today, but the person scheduled never showed up to my house. They notified me at 2 PM that their technician had a family emergency and that they needed me to come to their store by 4 PM to get my window repaired. I drove over 30 minutes there during my work day to get it repaired. When I got there, I told the person at the counter, who s name I believe is Christi, that I was frustrated that they couldn t notify me sooner that the repair could not be done at my home between the hours they gave. Meanwhile, I see the technician who was supposed to come to my house vaping or hitting a dab pen in the shop through the window. Christi then came around, clearly annoyed, to look at the damage and claimed that I had an attitude and cockiness about me. Then when I said I didn t like that comment, Christi then refused to look at my car and said I should take the car somewhere else. As I was leaving, she came back out and banged on my car window and yelled at me before I could drive away. Based on the reviews I ve read here on Google, this establishment clearly continues to get away with poor behavior and this employee felt like they could treat me this way because they know there will be no repercussions. I m hoping this review is enough to get Safelite s attention and warn people from using them in the future.

My wife scheduled a mobile repair of a small chip in her windshield for today (10/08/24). The technician was supposed to come to our house between 8am and 12pm. At 1pm, after not hearing from them, she called the 1800 number. After being bounced around in the automated menu she finally talked to someone who told her the tech who was assigned doesnt actually do mobile repair. She was then transferred to another person to reschedule her mobile repair. That person said they were too busy to do mobile repairs and said she would have to come in to the shop. Now she has to drive 30 min there, wait for 45min for the repair, and then 30min back on her day off. Very frustrating.

I had a stone break my windshield on my truck. I went to the Colony location when I arrived. They said nine out of ten of my vehicles cannot be calibrated for safety equipment. They replaced the glass with aftermarket. Then I was told that they would have to order the manufacturers original. Came back installed service tech was very nice. He could not calibrate the manufacturers window. Told me I would have to go to latham, and have it calibrated.They can do it. I go to Latham. They could not calibrate it. I was told that my tires were larger Then the original tires they could not calibrate. My sensors for my safety equipment worked fine.When I first went in. They did not work due to unable to calibrate the sensors. I was told I have to go to a dealer, great. As I explained to the witch behind the counter that everything worked prior to my appointment. She wanted me to sign off that my safety equipment was not working if I got in an accident.They are not liable. Well You shouldve told me up front that it could not be calibrated. Instead, you got rude to me and shut the sliding glass window. Very bad experience. You should fix the problem that you started. If you dont have the equipment, get out of the glass business, you dont belong there. You also do not belong in customer service. Very disappointed.Well file a complaint with consumer affairs. Also better business bureau. You failed to fix the problem miserably.

Was supposed to come Tuesday. Waited over 4 hours. I finally called and lady said he had a family emergency. Could have called me. Lost. time at work. I purchased a back wind shield blade. She said to make up for it that it would be free. When Steve came today he knew nothing about it. Called the office again. Said they dont sell blades. When Steve opened his back door he had all sorts of blades. Said manager would call me. Nothing but lies from the beginning. Stay away. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I will give one star because I did get a new windshield. The tech accidentally cut the wire to my remote car starter. He was apologetic and up front about it. Fast forward a YEAR and I have yet to be reimbursed for a new unit. I should not have to threaten this company to pay for something they damaged. The staff is apologetic and I understand this is a corporate issue but the lack of accountability in this matter is pathetic. My next step is reporting this to BBB and filing a claim in court. I was hoping to leave a review about how my issue was resolved swiftly but clearly that is not the case. I hope no one else has to deal with an issue like this. I work a lot of hours and when I m at work I can t be on my phone to constantly chase down people to resolve this. It should ve been done with the first phone call, and I never should have repeatedly needed to go to the office to discuss with the manager on site-with still no resolution. Buyer beware.

Have been on the phone with several SafeLite representatives for over two hours who could not get a hold of the technician who was supposed to arrive between 8-12. Just received a notice of rescheduled time more than one week away with no call. Very disappointed with the scheduling and lack of notice on both occasions.

Recently had been told by my Allstate Insurance Agent to call safelite to repair a windshield crack that though small about 2 inches was a 4 direction crack. First safelite appointment they cancelled on me Midway through the waiting time . I called to reschedule. Days later text arrived. The safelite tech who canceled first time rescheduled without involvement of me. I changed it. For the next try waited 5 hours. They no showed. Called but they couldnt find the tech. Had to cancel again. Went to Capitalland glass . Turns out needed new windshield anyway safelite made errors in telling me repair possible. If I could rate safelite than 1 star, I would. Allstate uses them to administer glass things . Terrible decision. Capitalland glass was prompt, professional and perfect. Do not use safelite.

When calling to ask why I wasted 5 hours on a Monday working from home , only to find out they overbooked- 45min before my appointment were to happen I receive a text on a reschedule - I call the national number they transferred me to local , when Peter put me on with Josh they recited my appointment as 7/5 where it was changed to and said what seems to be the problem. I said you know what the problem is. I sat here like an idiot for five hours on a Monday waiting for you people to show up and then 15 minutes before the expiration of the appointment it gets moved I said who is the incompetent scheduler that you have working with you, and when pressed, he got all defensive and agitated, and said if were gonna continue to call him incompetent, which he was, That he threatened that they would not perform the service on my vehicle so I gave him some choice words and hung the phone up - case closed - bottom line- Yes incompetent. A real manager or representative wouldve given me at least an explanation wouldve apologized for overbooking wouldve tried to make amends or some sort of conscious effort to get the vehicle done especially with a holiday weekend coming up, but not this incompetent individual, sorry to say .. They had to reschedule me 2 times because they didnt order the requested OEM windshield. On my second appointment, they said they couldnt come to my site and requested I come to the shop. I came in and waited 20 mins, only for them to tell me they still hadnt ordered the correct windshield. This was over a month of waiting for a new windshield. Glad the crack didnt get bigger or leak otherwise I wouldnt have been able to work. I was told a specific price but when it was time to pay, they told me a higher price. They were able to adjust the price, but we discussed the price multiple times on my 2 visits and calls over the phone. I thought this was going to be a painless experience, but overall just a really bad experience.

Complete lack of professionalism. I prepaid the total cost and scheduled an appointment. They confirmed twice by email, and two hours into the appointment they cancelled on me with the excuse that they wanted me to bring it into the shop because it was a two man job. I will never allow this shop to work on my vehicles again. Horrible experience; they failed to show up for the scheduled service at my home and never bothered to call me to reschedule. I went to the local shop to complain and the woman at the desk was rude and uncooperative. When they finally replaced my window, the technician left a mess of broken glass everywhere and then treated my son rudely besides. Stay away!

This location does not pick up phones calls, not even from their own customer service department. I don t understand but what is the point to make an appointment when they couldn t show up and did not even bother to follow ups with you. I ve waited for a follow up warranty service on a Saturday from 12-5 and again no show no call and automatically rescheduled me with a follow up text without my consent. This is horrible, they have wasted two days of my time. I just wish geico has a better glass company to go to. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

Had an appointment to have a windshield replaced on June 8th. Dropped the car off on June 7th. Handed my key to a male at the service desk and asked if the location I parked the car was ok. He said yes. Went to pick the car up at 4:45 on the 8th and the windshield was not replaced. In fact the service representative had to look for my key and he asked me who I gave the key to and I responded, it was you I gave the key to. Asked for the key and left. I understand things happen but its a bad first impression for sure.

A friend of mine scheduled twice with safelite to get her windshield fixed. First time they canceled because it was supposed to rain, which is understandable. Annoying, but understandable. Second time, they canceled because all the technicians were sick. At this point I don t see why she would reschedule. I needed to take my car to the latham store because of the camera system. I was not told ahead of time that the appointment would take 2 hours. I was pleased when they finished my repair. However, the technician did not re-adhear the remote starter and ez-pass to where they were originally. I noticed right away that they had been hap-hazardly stuck to the wind shield with a crooked piece of double-sided tape. I had to ask they relocate both items to where they were when I arrived. I got the impression that the tech was not happy with my request to fix what seemed like a cob job to get me out the door. After he relocated both items, they still werent where they were when I arrived. A suggestion would be to take a picture of where items fixed to the windshield are located before the repair and refer to that picture when re-adhearing them on the new glass. Ive used this company before, and although Im not thrilled with their service, I suppose it could be worse.

Monday - I scheduled an appointment online and used a coupon for $80 off Tuesday - I dropped off the car in the morning for repair. Safelite called late morning to say the window had not yet arrived but they should be able to fix it Wednesday. They had prepped the car and put plastic film over the opening. I opted to leave it there overnight. Wednesday - I called in the evening and a robot told me the car was scheduled for repair on Thursday. Thursday - I called at 4:30pm and was put on hold for ½ hour at which time I hung up. (They close at 5) Friday - Called and the operator tried to contact the local shop but there was no answer. She gave me a number to call which turned out to be the same touchtone menu I had tried to use before which got me nowhere. I stopped by the shop to ask about the progress. I was told the window should have arrived Thursday. I opted to leave the car overnight and asked that they please call to update me. Saturday - I stopped by the shop and waited 20 minutes for the employee to help me. I was told the window should be there Monday and could be repaired Tuesday. I didn t like leaving my car on their front lot with just plastic film on the missing window so I opted to take the car. They could not find the key. We checked in the car and then back in the office where it was eventually discovered. I asked that they call when the window arrived. Tuesday evening - I called and was told the window was in. I was given an appointment for Thursday. Thursday - Car was repaired at the shop. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work which was performed on the window. Friday - In looking over the bill I noticed The $80 off coupon had not been applied. I went back to the shop and was refunded $80 (but they would not refund the tax on the $80). All the employees were friendly and I understand there are sometimes supply problems. I was very disappointed they did not update me on the status of the repair unless I contacted them. It is hard to contact the shop as I couldn t find a number for the local shop. The shop didn t seem to know when the window would arrive. I spent a lot of time on the phone and visiting the shop before I could get the car repaired.

Went in for windshield replacement they ended up cracking my door window and act like it magically appeared there. They did however install a new glass but the tech said it had a defect it s bent window won t stay up I can t rolled them down they will call me to scheduled a replacement and left. Now I have a door with a window that is inoperative. No one explain what would happen next how they plan on fixing it or nothing. Tech handed me keys and walk away.

I had a small crack they came to fix. While here the technician asked if I wanted new wipers, I said No, mine were recently replaced. after all was said and done I was charged $64, I paid it as my wife made the appointment and i didnt know any better. Seems they installed new wipers (apparently my wife also told them no wipers while making the appointment) and then charged me $64 for them.

Had the windshield replaced on our Tundra. How did we get our truck, once they were done? They chipped the paint in multiple spots around the area of the glass replacement. Inspection sticker is virtually destroyed. A gash in the dashboard. Black marks left on the sides of the truck where( presumably) the technician leaned in. I am incensed that this is the way they do repairs. SMH

Mannnn these guys are truly terrible. Horror story. I had two technicians come to my house, I am out in the sticks so it s inconvenient. First, they call me the day of the appointment and cancel because they are short handed. Ok not convenient, but it happens. But then, when they finally get to me a few days later, they start working on the van, and about an hour in with my window out, they tell me that the aftermarket window is not fitting. They also mention that more and more of their aftermarket windows on my vehicle have been off and don t fit. I ask them what we should do. I ask that they rent a car for me since they can t get the OEM window today , I have no other car and they can t put my old window back in. After they come back from lunch and spoke with the main office they tell me that they were wrong and that they just need to use more adhesive. I leave for Florida a few weeks later once I get down there and get hit by the first big storm, my windshield looked like a river. They refused to come where I was in Florida. When I got back to NY they wouldn t come back to my house. Then changed my appointment again once I agreed to come there just terrible experience.

Geico booked my appointment with Safelite to replace the windshield on my vehicle. I waited for more than four hours and was informed by Safelite that they cannot honor the appointment due to lack of staff. Safelite received the order in the morning from GEICO but it took them several hours to inform me that they have to reschedule my appointment. The person who called me from Safelite was unpolite and very disrespectful, which was quite opposite of what they show in the ad.

Well this go around with Safelite wasnt the best as to another time before, it took a few reinstalls of my windshield to get it right. After a month of cancellations by Safelite for mobile repair of windshield I had to bring it to their facility, which is quite some distance from my home. They replaced my windshield, then two days later I opened the door to a flooded dashboard. Back to Safelite. They reinstalled the windshield. Few days later, leaking again, now the headliner is saturated. Back to Safelite. Reinstall. Days later everything is wet again. Back to Safelite. Then theres hours of my time on the phone with customer service; on hold , let me transfer you, oh theyre not answering, blah blah blah type phone calls. No return calls or emails I was to be expecting. Finally I got an agent who diligently followed up and got it going. The last reinstall seems to be working well and no leaks, so far. Would I recommend them, not really. But I was pretty much stuck with Safelite because it was covered by my insurance. I must add that Safelite did honor their warranty and made it right. But in the event of a problem be prepared for alot of phone time and schedule juggling.

Stopped to get my windshield replaced and was told that they couldnt complete the install because of the front end damage. When I arrived I found out that someone had backed into my car causing $2800 of damage and was told there were no cameras. At first the tech tried to tell me that the damage was old but another Safelite worker named Bryan told him that was not the case because the fender was pressed right into my front tire and you could barely drive. Bryan was very helpful. After weeks i was finally able to get the body damage fix and then yesterday was able to get the wind shield replaced. Management does not seem to care about customer satisfaction. Would try another Safelite before having to go back to this location.

The day my windshield was smashed (on 4/15/22) I called and was told first appointment available was 4/28 (about two weeks) at 8 am. I was told to drive to a local place. At 12:03 pm on 4/27, I called safelite asking to change time to 9 am. They said yes and confirmed it was now set for 9. At 8 on 4/28 I received a text saying my apnt was at 8. I called and said it was changed to 9. They said it wasn t and they can t take me at 9 anyway as they re overbooked. They said someone will come to my house on 4/29 to fix it. On 4/29 he arrived but said he s missing a part and can t fix it that day, but said he ll call me that night snd let me know if he ll fix it on 4/30 or not (said it d depend if the part is in stock). Never got a call. On 4/30 at noon I called safelite who said the guy will call me on 5/2 at 8 am with a repair time for 5/2. Never got a call. It s now 5/2 so at noon I called safelite once again. I was told a manager is trying to get ahold of the tech to hear his story but that he would call me back in ten minutes. After 3.5 hours and still no call, I called again only to be told they have the part but next available isn t until 5/10 and I d have to drive it to them. It s not safe so i asked when they could come to my house and they said not until 5/17. That s over a month past the date of the windshield damage! Even 5/10 is unacceptable as well as the original date two weeks post incident. Completely unacceptable.

Terrible experience with them. Scheduled online to have my windshield repaired and showed up 15mins early to appointment. They found my name in their system and I handed over my key. I proceeded to wait in their lobby for over an hour, watching other customers come and go, and had not heard a word from them. When I asked about the status of my car, they couldnt find my key and I found out that they hadnt even looked at the windshield yet. 30 seconds after one of their technicians took a look, they told me that would need to replace it but couldnt do it that day. They were a waste of time and I will not be going there again or recommending them to anyone I know.

I had a crack in my windshield and my grandfathers friend set up a appointment with them for April 29 (2022) (I think) and paid for it (more on payment later). They brought my vehicle in and a little bit into having my vehicle in, one of the employees came out into the waiting room and spoke to me about my replacement windshield, about how the one they had in stock for my car had tint on the top 6 to 8 inches or so and I was asked if it was OK. After a little hesitation from me thinking about it, I agreed to them putting that window in. I admit I actually sort of like the idea of the tint being there. When they were done, they explained what could and couldnt be done, such as not putting stuff such as sticky stuff like an ez-pass on and no using a hot wash car wash for both 24 and 48 hours and to leave the tape they put on for the formerly mentioned time amount (being 24 hours) (which I did). They asked for I think it was $300 plus something, I tried explaining to them that my grandfathers friend already paid, and they did notice that there was a card on file. I told my grandfathers friend to keep an eye on his bank statements to see if they charged him again for the job. My grandfathers friend still gets paper bank statements, yeah, I know.

I brought my car in here twice to get serviced. The first time I had bumper damage (which they didnt notice until my car had been there for over an hour already) and this prevented them from installing a windshield. The second time I took an uber to the mall and once I was there they called me to tell me that they didnt have my glass and couldnt replace my windshield either that time. I was out $40 in uber fare. They said that theyd call when the glass was in, but its been three weeks at this point and they havent called yet. I called my insurance company to get my car serviced literally anywhere else so I dont have to deal with the clowns here anymore.

This review is not about Latham specifically but Im not impressed at all that Safelite has gone to self service only in their phone system. Im a CS MANAGER and could not ever get a real person. I have a historical vehicle and they advised they would contact me within 12 hours NOONE did. Decent experience. I used this location to replace a rear windshield on my vehicle. Parking situation can be tough as they have more cars on the lot than parking spaces so you end up parking on the side by the trees. The office area is not customer focused. Service coordinators are behind sliding glass windows in their own confined area. To speak to someone you have to go up to the window and wait for them to slide the glass window open and then after you are done they slide the glass window shut. I m this day and age I see no value in this. The face to face mannerism from the service coordinators behind the sliding glass windows needs to improve though as they lack soft skills when engaging with customers. My rear windshield was replaced and the cleanup on the interior of my vehicle was great however the cleanup in the bed of my truck was poor. There were still glass shards in the corners of the bed and in between the cab and the bed which I had to vacuum out myself. I feel they have great techs performing work but are rushed because of such high amount of vehicles needing work or they are simply understaffed.

Not very pleased at all The damaged window was fixed, but the follow-through and clean up etc simply did not happen. Essentially, it was shoddy work. There is still lots of glass fragments still inside the car. Its a safety hazard!! I had called to have it rectified, without success. The Manager was supposed to call back, which never happenned. I wish they paid more attention to this aspect of total customer service.

Brought my car in with a very small chip to be repaired. They cracked my windshield at no liability to them. Fortunately I have glass coverage in my insurance. It s been over a month. My windshield has yet to be replaced and the crack just continues to get worse. No one will return my calls or tell me when I can expect my windshield. Safelite had our car for over a month to get a piece of glass replaced. First of all they dont have a phone number to contact the shop directly, every communication goes through an off site call center which creates an avenue for miscommunication. Every time we called Safelite they had no clue what the status of our car was, each time we got a different answer. After a month of waiting, calling, and wondering about when wed get the car back, we got a call saying that our car was going to be towed for having it there so long. We then asked if the glass had been replaced to which they did not know the answer. Turns out they called us with the threat of having our car towed and they didnt even have the glass replaced. Keep in mind this was after a month. To top it all off when we did get the car back there were gouges in the door panels of the door that had the glass replaced (see picture attached to this review). Save yourself time, money, and stress and take your car somewhere else.

Simply the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. After incorrectly installing my windshield, a tech came to diagnose but couldn t fix it because they sent him within the first week when the glue wouldn t allow the windshield to be removed and reinstalled. What followed was three separate appointments on three separate days. All no show/ no call. I have called no less than ten times. The phone system is atrocious, hanging up on me several times. When you get a customer service person they don t know anything and they send you to the store. For a week and a half no one from the store called me back. Finally today, I got a hold of the store and was informed that they can only fix it in the store. Now I am forced to embark on my sixth appointment. I have gotten platitudes but no accommodation. If you have an option, do not use this company.

Many complaints about this business but the most important is they replaced my windshield with an incorrect windshield and now I no longer have safety features. They said they would call me when the OEM windshield arrives but I would ve waited as I d rather have a cracked windshield than missing safety features.ion (like mine because it s the wrong glass), I m sure he doesn t have safety features associated to that window either. Very disappointed. Update: I spoke to Geico and I guess this is their procedure to first try after market glass if OEM isn t available.

Safelite repaired my windshield about 1-2 years ago. A young man came to my house and tried to replace it for 2 hours but failed. A senior representative replaced the windshield the following day. Two month ago my windshield wiper control failed while driving through a rain storm. I brought the car to my Honda dealer who found a windshield leak which has caused corrosion to the electronics. Honda dried out my car for a whole week until the electronics finally worked again. Meanwhile I called safelite several times until finally somebody came by to replace the windshield for no charge. Honda charged me about $400 for diagnostics. I called safelite in Latham several times to get this bill reimbursed. I was given various excuses ( the manager is not here this week, we first have to have this claim approved, then call us back in a month if you havent received a check). I also called the safelite service center and had to hold and relate my problem to 4 representatives. The last representattold me that I violated warranty by not bringing my car to the Latham shop to have it fixed. None of the safelite representatives I talked to before they fixed the windshield told me that this was necessary. There is no mentioning in their online warranty agreement that you have to have a leak diagnosed or fixed at their shop. Would you trust safelight to fix the electronics in your car? What would have happened if I had an accident based on my windshield wipers not working? Forget about the safelite warranty since it does not exist. I called my insurance company USAA and filed a claim. Five days later I received a check from safelite for the requested amount.

Im kind of astounded at all the negative reviews here. I scheduled to have my passenger windshield replaced on my 2016 Cascadia. Got there about 20 minutes early and they took the truck in at its appointment time and said it would be 2 hours. It took 1.5. Kyle did a nice job on it. I kind of explained how it would be difficult with the stainless steel visor, but he said, itll be tight, but Ill get it. Since I installed the visor, I know it has sharp edges. He beat his hands up pretty good, but never a complaint. Price as quoted when I scheduled the appointment online. Pretty seamless. Should I get whacked by another rock flying off a guy hauling construction equipment, Ill come back. And folks - clean the snow off your cars. This company is not professional at all. I dropped off my car for an apt and was told it would take 45 minutes, but instead it took 3 hours because they prioritized walk-ins instead of honoring my apt time slot. After I got my windshield replaced, it was put on improperly and left my car hood open only for it to fly up and obstruct my view while driving. Upon fixing my hood I noticed that they also broke my windshield wipers and did not return return any of the screws to their rightful place. I ve been trying to get in contact with a representative to resolve this issue, but they refuse to answer their phones. I do not know if the Safelite as a whole company is run poorly or if the Latham location is just improperly managed.

The work that they did was good, and it was done quicker than they said it would be. The customer service in the store was also good. However, if you need to get someone on the phone that is almost impossible. You can t just call the store because that would be too easy you always get rerouted to the 800 number, which wastes a few minutes of your time before finally telling you that they can t take your call and hanging up. I m not talking about 10 o clock at night either I m talking about middle of the afternoon middle of the week. Safelite you re stores are great, your corporate office needs to get it together.

Was told 1 panelof glass would be replaced by main office, it was the whole rear window. I wouldve removed everything had I known but it was just thrown about my truck. Tonneau cover clip is broken,glass chips in bed of truck, in back of truck and on cover itself.

I had a rather complicated situation when my sliding power, heated rear window broke. Safelite needed me to bring it to the shop as it was a multi hour repair that should be done with specialized equipment. I filed a claim on a Sunday, they called on Monday and it was done by 3pm on a Tuesday. They even made arrangements for me to pick up the car after hours. Great job!

At first I was not happy with the service because when my windshield was replaced my triming clips got broken so when I was driving my trimming literally flow off on the highway I believe they had a rookie come out and do my replacement lol but anyways call them right then and there told them what happen they said they will take care of it they got me in the next day as soon as they open to fix the problem I was they for maybe 15min in and out was happy with the service and no problem since thanks again

Horrible customer service and scheduling difficulties. Arranged my schedule for an appointment on a Wednesday. I called in on Tuesday to be sure all was ready and was told that insurance hadnt even approved it, and the glass wasnt even ordered. Was then told 24-48 hours for insurance to approve. Six days later I still hadnt heard anything so I had to call to inquire again. Voice prompts take you around and around and wont let you get to a live person and when you try to get to customer service you receive a voicemail stating they are busy and to call again later. Finally an email the next day stating the windshield had arrived and I couldnt get an appointment for over 2 weeks! Cancelled with them and went to Mr. Windshield. Very pleasant to talk to and very helpful, glass was in in 1 day and had an appointment 5 days later. Will never recommend Safelite to anyone!

They replaced my window and scratched my hood and roof of my 2021 camry. They then proceeded to cover the digs and scratches on the roof of the car with their temporary tape. Not professional at all. Waiting to hear from the store manager to see what they say about this .

Like most of the people on here with 1 star reviews, I tried to use safelite, but they had to reschedule me. Their practice is to overbook the techs every day so they never have a tech without work, but that means that most days they have to reschedule people. When I called other auto glass companies in the area to get it done quicker, they all said they were familiar with these calls. Its just how safelite does business. Other places are cheaper and faster. Dont let your insurance tell you this is where to get it done.
