The Home Depot in Latham, Appreciate the store’s selection, pricing, and the courteousness of its employees. I stopped to find a part that I have no idea about, needed for replacement sump pump, it took me a little bit of time to find the right part but the employee I asked for help, she helped me to get the right parts for the job in no time. She has exceptional knowledge about the job In summary, while we had customers positive feedback about the Latham Home Depot, particularly regarding product selection and staff professionalism, there are some occasional concerns about specific services and experiences.
Home Depot needs no introduction. However I rate 4 because management has been getting hard on discounts. Less than a year ago one could get a generous % off a damaged or open box product but not anymore. Management should restore this policy it helps keep clutter and old products off your shelves.
I ordered some products online and the delivery date was set for the next day. I called around 5 pm asking what was going on as it stated that the driver never picked it up. I could have gone to the store. I keep giving Home Depot a chance, but Lowes has worked out better for me.
Purchased a new dishwasher and refrigerator had them set to deliver and install with removal of old appliances. Upon arrival they told me they were not able to hook up the fridge due to the valve and leak in water line so told.me to call plumber to have fixed. Plumber came out same night finds no issues what so ever. Mind you they hooked up the dishwasher. Once plumber came they told me call back to have fridge installed, so called next day for an appt. That coming sat. To my surprise they scheduled me the sat after thanksgiving. NOT HAPPENING, because this was not my error just incompetent workers from home depot. So manager rescheduled me to Tuesday 11/26. They arrived at said we can't do this we weren't the original crew who installed the dishwasher. EXCUSE ME? Again more incompetent workers. Called my plumber came by hooked it up in 3 min. NOTE TO SELF NEVER BUY FROM HOME DEPOT. Horrible service. I will be going to Lowes or a appliance store next time Very disappointed in home depot!
I received great customer service yesterday from a few employees, but most notably from Gail and Liam. They were very kind and helpful, especially Liam who helped me out to my car and offered to load up my stuff. I really appreciated it!
5 stars and all hats off to Dan! It always seems like a hit or miss if you're going to get someone good when walking into one of these big retail stores needing help. But I definitely hit the jackpot today! I needed assistance with getting parts for a small job that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing on. Not only did Dan take the time to find me exactly what I needed, but he thoroughly explained the exact process to me so I knew what to do. His optimistic encouragement of my abilities combined with his extensive knowledge, that one could only learn from life experience, was way beyond anything that I expected to get today. I was able to complete my project with a flawless execution, all because of him. What an absolutely amazing experience that truly defined going "above & beyond" for a stranger - something that many people just don't do anymore. Dan is a gem & I will 100% go out of my way to go back to this particular store in the future, in hopes that I get the pleasure of being assisted by Dan, or someone even a fraction as helpful as him. Overall is good But they have changed Many and controversial laws have been changed like the things that were returned and the Auction room which was one of the best savings for workers like me because it does make it a different and give you the option to work for less because you get a good deal and you end up coming out with a good deal
For me there is no other hardware store than the Home Depot. Unless I need specialty items, this is where I have shopped for over 20 years. Recently their Garden department has been refreshed w great talent (gm) and is looking beautiful.
Here the rice is measured so that it is not left for the next day, the meats too, if they see that not even the mangú is made to leave it, they are prepared by order so that the person can enjoy a good three hit

So we went to rent a vehicle at this location and the person with glasses on was so rude and far right conservative minded that he implied I was drunk or high. Which I have never done in my life lol he admitted he himself smokes. In trying to get me to confess that I was high lol. He didn t know there s still people in world that don t do tattoos , smoke or drink unlike his low life.
So called head person at the pto desk acts like he out in the streets and not professional at all. Talked about punching people in the face and talking in a demeaning way with comments to other associates and customers. Not some that should be in regular contact with other people. Even made a statement that he doesnt want bilingual people around him, and he is Spanish go figure.
We rented the hard floor cleaner and the machine was old and didn t work. I had my cleaning person use it and when I got back from out of town and asked if there was anything they could do they said no. They don t have a different machine and said they couldn t even partially refund me.

Had the wood i was looking for in stock. Had to dig through the stack to find good wood. But was able to find what I needed for my project.

Got awesome Halloween decorations 50% off, even though it isnt even Halloween whats left is on clearance. So many Christmas decorations!! They have animatronics, inflatables and tons of pre lit trees too. Big selection!
We had a wonderful experience with Diane in plumbing. She went above and beyond to help us!!! Wow!!! is she knowledgeable, friendly, patient and extremely helpful. She was a life saver. What an asset she is to Home Depot. I am very thankful for her assistance.

Unfortunately, based on my previous tool rental experience here. I had rented from here before and didnt have any issues, but the most recent rental was anything but easy and stress free. Upon return of the item I had rented, I had car issues and called ahead to inform them Id be about a half hour late and took an Uber. The associate I spoke to said they would place a note on the account. The associate looked up my rental on the computer and stated very quietly that my card was to be charged an additional amount, when I replied and asked what for he said that its the price listed and had already charged my card on file. He didnt read any notes on the account, and he didnt even check the equipment. According to the quote I was given, I should have been receiving money back upon return of the rental (rental deposit was more than the actual rental). Charges should be explained accordingly before processing a customers card. I requested a manager, to which I was told there was nothing he could do and asked me if I was purchasing anything else today. When I said no, he told me to go to customer service on my next visit, tell them Scott made a mistake and ask for my store credit. I found this unacceptable as I just wanted my money refunded and asked for a manager. He proceeded to tell me he couldnt get a manager and nothing could be done. I had to continue to ask for a manager 3 or 4 times before one was called, he then stated that I was late with the return and basically made it sound like it was entirely my fault after just trying to offer me store credit. I was pretty frustrated at this point and the manager that arrived explained their system was just updated, he was apologetic and ready to give me a refund no problem. Then he asked the tool rental associate what the return amount is to which he attempted to guess because he had no idea. We went back and forth for a few minutes while I calculated the math for them as they just kept referencing my receipt. I still dont believe I was given back the correct amount and over paid $5 because I didnt get the tool protection I did last time and somehow ended up paying the same amount. It was just a messy and unprofessional transaction. There should be some type of store policy in order or a retraining of the staff upon system updates. Whatever the issue, unfortunately, I wont be going back here. I didnt want to leave a public review as I had already filled out the survey I received right after my transaction but that was over a month ago and I havent gotten any response.
How can a hardware store not have hardware (carriage bolts) and then talked to a manager and was told that sorry people steal them. I work for a large HVAC company that relies on me to get certain items and home Depot in Latham is the worst one I have ever had the displeasure of walking into. Looks like Im off to Lowes.

I had to pick up some items for delivery, there was only one guy in the customer service, few customers on the line after 10 minutes of waiting he told the order is not ready he called someone and he didn t show for more than 10 minutes

Everytime I come to the Home Depot in Latham and ask for assistance, no one ever comes. I have came here multiple times to ask for assistance. They would page someone but no one comes. Im done with Home Depot. Im sticking to Lowes. They have better customer service

While the young man assisting me was helpful, a woman wearing glasses intervened and was extremely rude and abrupt. She mentioned that there were policies regarding plant discounts from vendors. My issue wasnt with the policy itself, which she claimed was clearly stated on the website, but with her disrespectful manner and unwillingness to direct me to the policy or allow me to speak with a manager. Given that it wasnt a busy time and she was not otherwise occupied, she could have been more courteous and informative. For further context, Home Depot does NOT have a specific policy outlined for discounting individual houseplants in poor condition. Typically, the store focuses on returns and replacements rather than providing discounts at the point of sale. If a plant is unhealthy at purchase, it is generally up to store managements discretion to offer any discount. This could be useful information for customers considering whether to buy plants in less than ideal condition. This employee not only needs to improve her customer service skills but her policy knowledge.

I find that the Latham Home Depot is extremely unorganized, and workers, if you can find one, are not very helpful. Pricing is competitive, but ordering is a whole other story with additional difficulty.

Always quick and easy, in and out, as long as you know what you want and where to find it. Downside was that we walked past a good handful of empires who didnt acknowledge our existence. There are a few VERY knowledgeable peeps in the garden center though!

Had to buy a LED LIGHT MAGNETIC SO ALL U HAVE TO DO IS TAKE OFF WALL OR WHEREVER YOU AFFIX IT AND HAS A REMOTE CONTROL WITH AND IT WAS SHIPPED IN TWO DAYS AND ITS EVERYTHING IT SAYS IT IS SO THANK U TO THE SALES PERSON I SPOKE TO ON PHONE AND I ENJOY THE LIGHT BEING WITH A REMOTE CONTROL AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM and YES ID SEND ANYONE I KNOW TO THE HOME DEPOT. Though Home Depot is a pretty decent store that s got all the necessary stuff for a home, the staff specially at the customer service is horrible. They refuse to provide assistance and are not even able to provide basic information. Had a worst experience with the customer representative IDESHA. Never encountered such a rude representative.

I give five stars because this time we received a military discount. A Few years ago no discount was given except for holidays so we starting going to Lowes. Thank you home Depot for taking care of the vets.

At first very frustrating because the door installation information we were supposed to have received a week ago was not available. We requested help from Al in flooring. Although he could not answer our questions he was overly helpful, friendly and a great personality. Maybe consider making him a supervisor he truly cares about the customer experience and Home Depot brand! We were able to speak with Mark the supervisor on duty even though he did not have all info he went above and beyond to help. We left feeling like valued customers.
Home Depot recommended Torres Landscaping and Contracting. I used them. They were Amazing. I had a patio and walkway done with pavers purchased from home depot. The quality of work was excellent, along with the product used. I highly recommend this company. You will be greatly satisfied!
Waited quite a few minutes to pick an online order, but they did soon add two cashiers and everyone in line was taken care of. Nice and friendly people. Items were easy to find! Looking forward to come for a building project for kids!
We just bought a home and was so frustrated with all type of deals and security cameras out there. Me and my husband went to home depot today and found a nice gentleman name Mike Hill from electrical department. He was so amazing with his customer service was so nice to help us with choosing security cameras. I was amazed and glad we found him. Store is a mess with stock blocking aisles everywhere. Dozens of staff milling around and not a single person acknowledges customers nor offers any assistance. Two employees were fighting near the checkout. One employee sounded as if the other reported to them. The fight continued for at least 10 minutes, with customers stepping around the pair to get to the self checkout. The stock we were looking for, and which showed in stock on the Homedepot app, was nowhere to be found. The contrast between Homedepot and Lowes is simply astonishing. If the mission statement for Homedepot contains themes of Lord of the Flies then well done!
Ive traveled the country for 15 years now. This is the worst home depot across the country. Multiple times their website says they have several of something I need. No one can ever find it and wont even look for it.

If I could give stars separately, I would give 5 stars for Gail at self checkout. She is a dynamo, helping everyone find everything and a big help at the register. The 3 stars is for the non-existent help I got in the lighting department. I was looking for a particular size of covers for my fluorescent lighting, didnt get any help, so found some covers on my own. Got home and tried to install them. They were not wide enough!! Now I have to make an extra trip up to either get a refund or the proper ones. Update: Got a refund, went down the block to LOWES. They have a variety of styles and sizes in stock. I got the right ones.

Ive been going to the store for decades and Im extremely disappointed as of late. Many employees are not at all helpful. One of the women in the paint center is very helpful. She is knowledgeable and always his time to answer questions. But I have unfortunately needed assistance and there is another woman who gives very little help. For example, ask her to color match and she left the piece to be matched. Just sitting there. There was no other customers. When I asked her if she color matched it. She said it was black. I stated there are many different shades of black. She then looked at me and said it isblack they also had sales price on some tile. Brought it to the self-check out which was the only thing open and it came up. Its full price. I double checked to make sure it was the same product that was advertised as a sale price. The manager came over and said it was not and I asked him to please check because I know I double checked. I dont even think hed look. He just came back and said its not the right product. He was definitely wrong. And another time again a door was marked as 499 it rang up as 1,000. So be very careful and make sure youre getting the price you think youre getting.

For the first time in America, I was subjected to insults from a worker until we met a worker named Ali at Home Depot. The beginning asked us: Would you like a Christmas tree? It is free. When we said yes, he started asking us where are you guys from. When I told him I am from an Arab country and my husband is from a non-Arab country, he started saying Are you Muslims and celebrate Christmas? He started insulting us by saying, There is no power no strength except in God in Arabic. This is an insult to us because no one has the right to interfere with your religion, even if you are from an Islamic country. This will be the last time I shop from this store because it is not reasonable to go shopping and come back with nerves. Because of this behavior, I could not sleep for the whole night . I did not go to the mosque to ask him for his advice if it halal or haram , and no one has a right to judge people according to their religions, and this is an insult to me and my husband.

I am very disappointed in my latest experience with this Home Depot. I ordered an item on line and had it shipped to the store. I had no issues with the customer service desk, they were very quick and dismissive but not rude just seemed busy with not many people in the store. As I went to leave a lady from the self check out came running across with her arms in the air shouting she is stealing, don t let that Spanish girl leave I was in complete shock and stopped immediately and turned. When I attempted to explain I was not stealing that picked it up from customer service she continued to accuse me of stealing in a loud manner drawing attention to not only the customers cashing out but the ones in isles and other co workers. As I searched for my online receipt on my phone, she continued to shout, but now it was that I was a liar, and there was no such thing as an online receipt. When a younger male came up and she then said you deal with her and walked away he looked at me looked at my screen and apologized and said I was okay to go. When I got to the parking lot a couple who witnessed the situation apologized for what happened. I did attempt to call the store twice when I got home. The first time the call rang for 8 minutes with no answer, I waited a bit and called again, after six minutes I spoke with someone who then put me on hold for the store manager. After 10 minutes the call was disconnected. I m disgusted and disappointed that this is the type of customer service that they allow.

While shopping today, I was searching for plumbing parts and didnt realize the employees were closing the aisle. A man with a heavy accent rudely demanded I leave the aisle. Before exiting, I inquired about the location of a pipe cutter, but he kept repeating that I needed to leave the aisle without acknowledging my question. This exchange occurred several times until another employee inquired about what I was seeking and guided me to it as I left the aisle.
Never any cashier at register. Only one self checkout. Its time to shop at Lowes.

I was never told my order arrived. I then had to help them find it and when it was found the door was damaged. I was in the store for over 3 hours until the issue was resolved. On a separate occasion, I had a coupon sent from home depot and they told me it i couldnt use it. The staff took 45 minutes to resolve anything. Do not suggest this store at all.
Home Depot will let you reserve equipment online, but only starting at noon. If you want to reserve it for the day because maybe youre an adult that doesnt sleep in until the afternoon, it turns into first come first serve. Great job.
I called this place about three times today already being placed on hold multiple times throughout multiple of departments only to never have my phone call answered by the correct department I called for to answer my one simple question. I have spent over 30 minutes attempting to get a hold of somebody for my question to no avail. I know staff is hard to come by but to have nobody in departments that are literally open and functioning at the moment makes no sense.

Mike from electric went way out of his way to help me in the Latham NY store. The bird seed pallet was empty and he scanned the shelf tag, discovered a new pallet in the overhead, tracked down someone who could forklift it down, and gave me two bags for my home cart thats what I call excellent customer service!

Poor management
The blonde hair girl at the service desk was very dismissive when I had a question about a certain product, and didn t even seem like she wanted to help me even before I asked the question. Instead of listening she quickly said no and didn t even try to help me with my problem. I definitely wouldn t recommend this specific branch of Home Depot based on the customer service alone.

One worker was in the isle literally sleeping. Another worker on his phone and ignored us when we needed help. Went up to customer care to see if an item was on sale that was in the middle of the floor, one woman was on the store phone and the other woman was socializing with another worker. We tried to get the attention of the socializing worker several times by saying excuse me miss and were ignored. When the other worker left, the phone started to ring and we were ignored again as she grabbed the phone and continued to ignore and not acknowledge us whatsoever. Better off going to Lowe s or basically anywhere else. Not gonna get help here.

I went to the Latham Home Depot store for some lumber and 7/16 osb. A day before they had 3 stacks of osb in the front of the store. That day ,down to two stacks and they were high up out of reach and needed to be brought down with the fork lift. I ask the gentleman at the register 4 times for assistance and wiated over an hour. I found out that Lowes has people there to assist you unlike the home depot.
Always attentive and with excellent prices, clean and safe place. Recommended .

Hello! Just wanted to shout out the amazing Amanda for her assistance lifting the heavy generator that we bought tonight. We initially brought the wrong car that unfortunately did not fit the generator. At this time, Amanda was so kind and said she would be there when we brought the bigger car. Sure enough, upon our arrival Amanda was there. She was able to strongly assist us in lifting the generator into the back of the car. This process would not have gone so smooth without her.
