I thought they were going to tell me it needed $5000 worth of work.(would have junked it) They looked it all over and had a few suggestions. It was well worth the visit. They took care of all the issues for a very reasonable price. These guys are the best in the business. 5

Update March 2025 with photo Almost 60k miles out of the Cross Climates 2s. Fantastic tire and figured it would be hard to beat. Did some research and decided, I wanted to try the Goodyear Weatherready 2s. Untested in snow but online reviews seemed positive for everything else. Got a nice deal with the mail in rebate through Mavis in October 2024. The guys at the latham Mavis hooked me up again. It was the first set they installed and wanted updates on how they perform. Well they work great in the snow. My wife thinks they are quieter and better in the rain then the Cross Climates. Unfortunately my wife got a flat on the throughway near NYC and rode on it a bit, so obviously the tire was shot. No one has it in stock so we bought a budget tire from a Mavis near the city. They got her back on the road in an hour. Measured the tread when she got home. The Weatherready 2s only used 1\32 tread at almost 10k miles. Impressed with the wear. The guys at the Latham Mavis were able to get it in within a day. Replaced it the next am first thing. I usually drop it off and come back. Usually get a call within an hour that its done. I visit multiple times a year to get 3 inspections. They know I do my own basic work and give me a heads up ahead before I get to low on my brakes ECT. I usually drop them off a dozen donuts because they treat me so well and I know they make almost nothing on inspection. Shops are only required to pull one wheel to check brakes. They drop all 4 which is great because you could have one caliper hanging sticking and wearing different. Keep up the great work guys. (I will post a picture of the Weatherready 2s. Snow tires are a thing of the past with the new All Weather category of tire). My mother-in-law got a set of General Altimax 365 AW (All Weather) for her Sentra in Sept of 2024. She got a a nail and I couldnt get to stop leaking 100%with a basic plug. The guys at Latham Mavis hooked me up again. They removed my plug and used a plug patch and were able to salvage the tire. They have a customer for life. October 2022 Wicked service. Get my inspections there. Do my oil myself, but all tires are through Mavis. I got a cheap set of all seasons for my Civic which is my around town vehicle and are holding up great. I always have two sets of rims so I can swap between winter and summer tires. This year my wife got a new Honda CRV. She works an hour away in snow country. So we decided to give the Michelin Cross Climates a shot to leave on year round. Tires are great. As good as snow tires in the snow. Latham Mavis was able to get them in quick. Price was fair and the service was efficient. No marks on the new rims. Mike did the work the last two times. Nice guy. People at the counter werent pushy like some places. Definitely my go to.

Hafiz and his team are absolutely fantastic with their knowledge, customer service and affordable prices for services. We come here every time we need work done on our vehicles, 10/10 would reccomemd to anyone looking for a place to get their car maintenanced!

I was scammed by the Latham store. Went in for a tire plug and they overcharged me on services I did not request. Called another store for the same thing and it was a lower amount but still higher than what customer service told me. A manager wont even call you back until up to 24 hours later.

Worst shop ever!! They say they offer services but pick an choose what they want to offer. I wasnt trying to spend a ton of extra money and only needed one thing done. They said they would mount tires that arent bought there but today I found out that is a lie. Its just a ploy to get you in there to spend more money. When you decline any other services they make an excuse of why they cant do the service you originally came in for. Funny cause the next shop I brought my car had no trouble taking care of my needs. Worst customer service ever will never ever bring my business to this location ever again.

Place is very shady and dishonest The managers and others that work at the Latham Mavis create 5 star reviews right after they get a poor rating to wash the bad rating from being at the top. Here is proof of the manager and another employee creating a review for the store they work at. Do not trust them.. they are professional at making their reviews look better than they actually are. Dishonesty at its finest.

Ive been to three car places and they all tried to charge me over two thousand dollars for my repairs... not only that, but they certainly saw me as just an easy target (Im a twenty year old woman); not a person... Mavis staff made me feel like a valued human being!! They didnt talk over me when I spoke, or talk down to me when I asked questions, and that meant more to me than you could possibly imagine. It took them about two hours and twenty minutes to repair my car while the other places took three hours to merely examine it... and my total was just under $900!! My car feels new again... thank you Midas. I will be returning if anything else goes wrong!! Thank you so much!!!

Was charged 1700 for gas shocks come to find out 1 year later the original manufacturer gas shocks were still on the car. Isnt the 1st time mavis has charged customers for work never completed go elsewhere

Latham Mavis is definitely the best in the area! Everyone is always polite and courteous both over the phone and in person, and are honest/upfront with timeline and cost expectations. They were willing to fit me in somewhat last minute for an inspection, while also being able to take care of a few things for me before leaving. They even put up my registration sticker that was sitting on the dash without me asking, which definitely saved me the hassle of buying a scraper. It was a nice touch to end the day. I will definitely be returning whenever I am in the need for routine maintenance or back next year for another inspection.

I own several vehicles and always go to Latham Mavis for tires. They have always provided great service at reasonable prices for everything related to tires.... repairs, alignment, and replacement.

This morning was my second visit. I had new tires, brake pads, and an inspection done. I was given an amazing deal!! The wait was approximately an hour and a half, but well worth it! Everyone that works there has an amazing attitude, so welcoming and helpful!! The first time I was there in February the Managers Ray or Ryan was so nice, this visit Dean helped me, and he was absolutely awesome. Nothing beats the fantastic customer service I have received here!!!

The most fabulous and efficient tire service EVER. We found a screw in a tire on our drive, called Mavis, and said we were about 5 minutes out from their store. The gentleman came and looked at the car right away, and told us that he could patch the tire, but that we would probably needed new tires in about a month which we already knew. He said if we didnt like his quote for new tires, hed happily patch it. He gave us a great quote for all new tires, and they were fully installed an hour and a half later. Highly recommend!

Good work is done, but timing and length of completion is always a pitfall. Scheduled an appointment for 11am for an inspection and tire rotation, it is now 11:55 am and my car still hasn t been taken in. Aside from the length, they do nice work!

I had a really bad day Monday in which multiple things went wrong with my car, I got a flat on the 87, the spare on my wrangler was taken off the mount wrong by AAA causing a bolt to not be able to be removed thus not being able to use my spare tire and had to patch my flat. When I pulled away from the side of the road I found my tail light was out as well. Knowing I had an oil change appointment at Mavis Latham for the next day, I called Gavin and asked if they had time when I came in, if they could take a look at my spare, my tail light and my patched flat. Gavin, Sean and their crew were so kind, and were able to take care of it all for me, including my oil change, all within an hour. Within that hour, I saw them give numerous customers that came in the door, just as much patience, kindness, knowledge and respect as they gave me. From having a terrible Monday to a much better Tuesday thanks to the Mavis Latham guys. Highly recommend. I will be going back for future services.

I love coming to this particular location because they re reasonably priced and will always work with you to make sure that all your vehicles needs are met. They re also speedy with their service which is also a bonus considering I ve been to many other places where I ve had to wait hours for a simple service. The atmosphere is great their lobby is always clean and the staff is always friendly.

Was able to book a same day appointment for a state inspection and even arrived an hour early and they took me in right there! (It was empty today when I got there which is why they were able to). When they found issues with my car, which was my back brakes being 95% worn down, they took the time to personally show me what they look for, what it means and what they typically recommend. They said it would still pass inspection but typically they advise a replacement at I believe it was 70 or 75%. He took a new brake pad out to show what it should look like and compare it to how worn down it was so I could see the difference. He even explained things that could occur once it runs fully down and how they typically replace it all. He then made sure to give me an estimate before we proceeded and a time estimation as well, which was about an hour and a half. They never tried to sell me on anything extra or unnecessary during my time there and each employee was extremely courteous. Never knew I could get an inspection here but I might take my car here more frequently with how nice they all are! Thank you to everyone at this center.

I had a great experience with the staff at the Latham Mavis Tire. I brought my car in for an alignment after noticing my car shaking a speed and thinking one of the Albany area craters on my daily commute knocked my car out of alignment. After the technician checked over the front end of my car he came out and told me that I did not need an alignment and should take the car to the dealer because I may have a defective tire and that could be covered under my new cars warranty. On top of being honest, accommodating while I waited and friendly, they did not charge me for the diagnosis of my car. I would highly recommend this Mavis location to anyone looking for an honest shop with great staff.

I immediately contacted Mavis located in Latham and was given an incredible estimate AND my car was done by the afternoon. I am so thankful for Hafiz for taking care of me and making this a stress free process.

We were in the area from out of town with a newborn and a tire sensor light came on. Mavis Latham quickly checked our tires for us and helped us drive home feeling safe. If we were local they d be our new place hands down.

While I applaud what I can only assume is their attempt to hire individuals with severe learning disabilities Ill be forgoing this equal opportunity employer from now on. Waited nearly 2.5 hours after making an appt for a state inspection just to be told by the apparently vision-impaired employee that they were looking for quotes on a mystery part after leaving my car in the lift for over an hour. I requested my tires be put back on so I could go to an even marginally competent shop after being quoted $700 for rear brakes. Absolutely ridiculous. No idea how this shop has the ratings it does but I ensure you its not accurate.
