I have to say that my previous experience before Chris took over was awful! I don t remember the fill in ( manager) except he was physically very short, rude and contradicted himself a lot. I know I was extremely over charged and wish I would be compensated to some degree. With that said I did go back after hearing the same guy wasn t there and am so glad I did. Chris and his crew were great! Chris was very professional ( unlike the previous guy) and did not try to rip me off again unlike ( the previous guy). I was so much happier leaving this time and hope that Chris and crew stay on! We need more good people like these guys!!

The technician was prompt, courteous, and kept communication all throughout the job, and also went out of his way to make sure I got exactly what I needed.

I went in with a minor emergency on Saturday. They fixed it immediately and on the house. This is how you do business and grow customers. I cant say enough good things. Much appreciated and this is my new go to place!

Worst place .. take more than 2 hours just for 1 tire change. Front desk guy is so rude and not even respond upon my continuous complain for wasting time for no reason.. this not happen on a busy time.

Manager squeezed me in between a couple of repairs so that I can make it to work because it was basically just a tail light fix. I was so happy that he did this for me.

I wouldn t recommend anyone going here. They charge me an arm and a leg for regular oil change, and I still had to go in my pocket and buy a bottle of antifreeze.

Great experience

When we showed up on a Saturday afternoon with a mysterious rattle coming from under the hood in our Accord, the guys at Monro were all hands on deck to figure out what was going on. They found an issue with the axel and were able to replace it same day, faster than their original estimate. Chris at the front desk was especially personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and not at all condescending or pushy. We were visiting from out of town and relieved to have the problem solved before we got back on the road. They even waived the fee for the inspection. A+ quality service, cant say enough good things about these guys.

The manager Chris is a very good guy

Went in for new struts. Went to retrieve vehicle notice suspension was loose and loud noises, took the car back and they fixed the loose connection. I asked if my Alignment was good and not pulling they confirmed everything was tip top shape. I left the shop the second time noticed steering wheel was crooked and pulling left, took it back immediately. After 3 consecutive visits within 2 hrs car was finally suitable to drive.

I would never go back there, and I don t recommend anybody taking their car there. I had my car there to put wheel bearing sway bar, links, control, arms, and ball joints. It was a Subaru so the Ball joints was hard to press out, so they said they changed everything, but they never change my ball joints when I called to Confront them about it they told me that there was no ball joint in the box and I told him I have the receipt and the picture when I picked up the parts from AutoZone and the head manager kept on going that there was no ball joints in the box that he believes his technician over me. They charge me for the labor of doing the my ball joint but they never did I wasn t gonna make this review but they left two bolts loose on my car so now it was super dangerous for me to drive on it and I m gonna call DMV and better business be real to complain about this issue and this business

Chris is the man! Great service and fast! I was in an out for my inspection and he also let me know its going to be time for an oil change soon which I will doing here as well! Awesome service!

Chris the new manager at this store was great made me feel comfortable and explained what the technician was doing on my vehicle. I got an oil change and tire rotation. Chris explained in the near future I will have to replace 2 of my tires. This is my first visit to the Latham store, I have been a customer in the East Greenbush store for a couple years. I live 3 minutes from the Latham store it more convenient for me.

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. Went in for an inspection and they said I needed work on my brakes and it would cost almost $700 and failed my inspection .I then went to another place and they told me my brakes were completely fine and I passed my inspection. SO GLAD I DIDNT SPEND MONEY HERE. JUST TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF.

I do not and would not recommend I went for a oil change on 2012 Volvo XC60 with synthetic oil and was charged $146 I think this is extremely high for oil change I always go to Monroe but never the Latham site I went in as a walk in got in quickly I usually go to glenmont location my last oil change was $111 which I too thought was a lot we ll to go from that to $146 quite a difference in pricing although they did include a $10 filter replacement lol I would recommend if you are a woman and you have a husband boyfriend brother. Or male friend that knows something about cars have them take your vehicle in to avoid being taken advantage of like I was. I was using synthetic oil which is suppose to last longer and be more effective therefore why the increased the oil on my invoice as if the vehicle needed more oil is beyond me .this vehicle has not been on ANY road trips since I ve owned it standard local travel and regular oil changes. My husband was pissed and wanted to go there immediately h/e I stopped him as it was my own fault trying to be a big girl and handle it myself huh I ll never do that again!!

My guy chris and his team killed 2 birds with 1 stone today and got my wifes and my vehicle in a great timely fashion with great quality professional work, couldnt appreciate it enough, recommend fully too anyone! Thanks again team

Staff was great. Got my car inspected and tires rotated within 30 minutes. They were so good I brought my wifes car back an hour later.

So hover I had my car serviced here on 6/12/24 around noon ish, I came in told them about my car s code which was check engine light do to a 02 sensor bank 2, sensor 1 they however Ordered the part which was $188 dollars plus $66 for labor but all said and done it seems as the problem wasn t fixed as i still had the check engine light still on when i left the shop, I don t mind spending money but when i comes to my only transportation i Most certainly do as i paid almost paid close to $300 dollars and the problem wasn t even fixed, i had went to even call the shop and spoke to a store manager he said just clear the codes with a scan tool or he said it could be something else but non of that information was even helpful at all so now i have to bring it to at another shop spend more money and on top of it i wasted my hard earned money that i worked very hard for. I d change my review if i get my money back or if the problem was actually fixed i have every right to be upset!!!! In all reality is when he was replacing my 02 sensor I read that you are supposed to disconnect the battery when doing that job which nobody ever did because I sat there and waited and watched the whole time, cuz if not it can cause the new sensor to get sluge or something like that to make the new sensor not work properly either.

Staff was very friendly. My two cars were out quickly with two state inspections performed. I couldnt ask for any better service from this Monroe. Because of their service, I return every year. Keep up the great work!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I called the Latham location on Friday (4/19) and shared that I had popped a tire and needed a new one, I was told they didnt have my tire in stock but they could order it and they scheduled me for an appointment Sunday (4/21) in the afternoon. Come Sunday I go to the garage and there is NO ONE there - despite the sign on the door and the website both saying theyre open every Sunday 9-5 the place was entirely closed. I went back multiple times that day and at no point were they open. I never received any communication that they would be closed, that my appointment would need to be rescheduled, nor was there even a sign on the door. I called the number with no answer, I called the 1800 customer service number and they were closed on the weekends, so I finally called a different Monro in a neighboring area (Albany) and was told rather rudely that since they didnt have the tire in their stock room there was nothing they could do; zero concern that this other shop was just mysteriously not open or that there was an appointment made and then missed. I called again on Monday (4/22) as the Latham location was supposed to be open at 7:30 but couldnt get anyone on the phone until closer to 8:30. I spoke to someone then who had no explanation for the closure or knowledge of the appointment but at least checked the back and saw that at least my tire was there. I was told I could come in that day (Monday) but there were 4 people ahead of me so I would have to wait until later - and while I know it was not the other customers fault I couldnt help but think that if my appointment had been met I wouldve been ahead of them or wouldnt have impacted the other people who now had to wait longer, and we specifically made the appointment for Sunday since I had a significant amount of driving to do this week. I went to the shop, I was admittedly 30 minutes early for the time I was told they could squeeze me into but then ended up waiting over 2 hours for them to even take my car into the garage. No consideration was made for the missed appointment or lack of communication, no explanation given. The customer service is abysmal - I shouldve taken my business elsewhere after the Sunday debacle and certainly will for the future.

For me,its comforting to be able to trust the people servicing my vehicle.The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable with quality work.

Let me start this by stating I had a 8:00am appointment for an inspection on my 2024 Kia. I arrived at 7:50. The young lady name Trish was very kind, stated the techs had nor arrived. At 8:15 there were still no techs. At 8:30 I was told that the Tech ( Matt) was now due to arrive at 9:00!!! I returned at 8:45. Tech arrived at 9:01, took my car in, and then spent the next 10 min talking to Jeremiah, and the Aramark man. 9:20 my car was done, however Im not sure what he inspected as the only thing the tech did was scan the registration sticker!!

I have been at Monro in Latham several times and every time I come here they have different managers and techs. They had a tech Josh who was very good, he was moved to the Guilderland store. Today Chris Simpson was the manager and he was very nice and personable, I asked to see my rear brakes that I had been told needed them and he obliged. The tech Sharmar was also very nice and he did my brakes. I am hoping Monro keeps both of them in Latham. They need consistency! People like to know and see the same people and develop a trust for the business! Please post a reply to my post.

Arnold was amazing. Im new to the state and came in for inspection. He made me feel like a real person and helped make what could have been an uncomfortable transition wonderful.

Rotors got warped after 3000 miles...got new ones under warranty...free of charge and no labor cost...im happy..no more steering wheel shake when i hit brakes!

EDIT: I made an appointment for an oil change at 5 PM. I showed up at about 445 and was told no problem- They could start my car then. I sat around, waiting for a little bit, wondering why it was taking so long. At about 5:35 I decided to ask if there was a problem with my car because I ve never had an oil change take this long. I was told by the two gentlemen that my drain plug was so tight we were afraid we were going to damage it taking it off . As we were speaking it came off. They showed me what it look like but it just looked like a a normal drain plug. I find it very hard to believe that they spent 45 minutes trying to get this drain plug off and then as soon as I walked in, they were able to get it off. Communication could be better

I had a great experience today when I brought my Kia forte in. The gentleman that helped me out was really nice and offered great service. I went in for an oil change and car inspection. All done within and hour. I will continue to bring my business to them 10/10.

Great experience. Van started to sound like a go kart while running errands nearby. Called and Josh said they could take a quick look. He got it right up on a lift to check out, found the issue (thankfully minor), and took care of it right away. Fair price. Clear explanation, showed me the issue. Really appreciate Josh fitting in the quick help.

My car was there for two weeks before it even got checked. Then an additional week to wait for a part. So three weeks in a shop all to fix an alternator then they try to charge me $700 to put a new battery in and labor when I didn t tell him to. so they took it out and I came with my own new battery after I paid the deductible the guy tells me good luck so now we waiting to see what else get messed up in the car because who tell somebody good luck..

Took my car to Monroe in Latham and the guy said it was my two front axles it took him less than a hour to fix it drove my car home..The next day I drove my car two blocks from the house and the same problem happened ..I had to get it towers back to them..Which I really didnt want to do bit I paid 903$/for my car to get fix and it wasnt fixed properly!!! Not happy at all!! I am a 63 year old woman with mental problem on disability..Not very professional at all!!

Come here if you have a fear of jiffy lube or another shop using an impact gun on your oil pan bolt, these guys do oil changes the right way and will make you feel at home while doing so! Awesome staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Was able to be squeezed in for the oil change 90 minutes to closing, done in less than an hour. Will definitely be back and recommending anyone in need of solid servicing here, thanks again guys!

From the moment I walked in, Tony and sloan were incredibly welcoming and professional. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant atmosphere while I waited for my car to be serviced. They performed the oil change swiftly and with precision, ensuring that my vehicle was in top condition before I hit the road again. This company is terrible. They lie about the services they provide and still charge the customer. I would never recommend these people. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

The crew working is truly honest and hard working. The store manager (I think) is always hard at work to make customers happy in the most honest way. I ve been here a few times and also to nearing competitive shops she these are the most honest people around. As soon as they finish one job they clock right onto another one to ensure get done in a timely manner. Will be back.

These guys are great. I live 5hrs. away and twice in the past month they helped my wife & sons gf out of a jam both times on a Sunday.

They really went out of their way to make sure me and my car were taken care of and even gave me a ride in the company vehicle when my car had broken down. I had a tire repaired at another quick tire repair shop in the area and they screwed it all up. The guys here got it all fixed fast, I think I was only there for 30 mins. The crew was very friendly and helpful. Out of all the other tire places I have been to and had bad luck with this is the best one. I will definitely come back when I need to!!!

I recently had a house fire, in which I lost pretty much everything I own , and my car had quite a bit of cosmetic damage to it, due to the radiant heat from the fire. This happened exactly one day after I had major stomach surgery. Needless to say, its been a very stressful, trying time for me. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change to the Latham location.. Zamuel and Andrew went above and beyond, showing kindness, professionalism, and compassion for my situation. They even donated some clothing and shoes to me. I had a terrific experience, and will absolutely be bringing my business back to them, and referring people to them. Very good group of guys you got working there. Not just knowledgeable and hard working, but also some noble, good hearted gentleman..

I brought my car here thinking it needed brakes ,that wasnt really the issue. The honesty of the store manager made me feel very comfortable having my car serviced here. The local Honda dealership, where I bought my vehicle from couldnt fix the problem but you guys did. I had used Monroe years ago. Nobody enjoys going to an auto repair shop. From surprise repairs to sky-high prices, its not a pleasurable experience. However, Monro of Latham has the competition beat. Their prices are fair and you feel like youre more than just a number to them. Roy is the guy to go see. I spoke with him at length about some issues I was having with my vehicle. From our conversation, I could tell he enjoys the work he does and I trust his knowledge.

I JUST WANTED TO UPDATE AFTER I NOTICED MOST OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE ACCOUNTS. They only have one review for monro . I went there for an inspection and was told I needed my brake pad fixed. Estimated cost with the inspection, brake pad, and another minor issue was close to 600. I m clearly no mechanic but I know my car. I declined and had them fix the minor issue, and while I was waiting another woman comes in for her brakes, and when the gentleman asked her what was wrong she said she was told that her brake pads needed to be fixed. I ended up going to another big-name repair place right up the street, passed the inspection with no issues. Really disappointing.

I must say Kudos to Joe the head service mechanic & Rick the manager . Service was honest, direct and Rick even offered a $50 coupon ,its hard to find a good honest mechanic these days whose not out to get deep in your pockets , customer care before corporation. My kinda guys Thanks

I was racially profiled today by Andrew who work at the Monro in Latham NY. I called monro Sunday telling them I received my letter for inspection and I wanted to bring my car but the check engine light is on n I never drive it. The guy on the phone said he can diagnose it come Monday after work, I wasted my time and gas cause before I could finish my statement Andrew tell me that they dont do that.i told him I was there last year he said they have different staff. I called another monro n the guy said yes they do it and all monro do it.

When I arrived I was told of staff shortage, but could tell from their friendly manner they would do the best as possible. My car needed several things done, and much to my surprise all was completed by next day. I was kept up to date during the repair as to their findings and cost estimate. Thank you Monro Staff! I will definitely recommend your company.

I dont know where to begin. On the surface, everything seems great. Everyone is very friendly. Yes, they charge quite a lot compared to some other places, but many people are willing to pay more for good service so that in itself isnt the problem. The problem is that they find issues that dont exist, hoping that people who dont know any better will go along with paying for the fixes. I went in some couple months or so back to have my state inspection done, and they told me that my car barely passed, that I needed to have my tires replaced (that part was definitely true), and that my brake pads were so worn down that they had barely any life left in them. The estimate to replace them was almost several hundred dollars. I am SO glad I went and got a second opinion from an autobody and service shop I know well and trust because it turns out that not only was the need to replace my brake pads not urgent, it wasnt even a need at all. In fact, my supposedly worn brake pads had barely any wear on them, and had plenty of life. These folks smiled, looked me right in the eye, and lied to me in hopes that Id fall hook, line, and sinker. And talking to others, I learned that many have had similar experiences with this and some other Monro centers. My advice? Always get a second opinion before having work done on your car, and definitely dont get it done here. You just cant trust them, which is very unfortunate.

With appointment they sent me back and forth 3 times for just an oil change finally I decided have the oil change done in a different place.

After bringing my car to a street mechanic my car was sounding like a race car and shaking really bad. (Never again!) I brought it here and they did excellent work.I would definitely recommend to people. Thank you to the team Especially John for letting me know what was wrong with my car and great service.

This is my second appointment in the last two weeks, I ve done this to accommodate an employee who was on the job by himself. John has been absolutely amazing, even while being understaffed he made a point to make sure I left with a safe vehicle! This man has gone above and beyond at his job and I believe he deserves not only praise but recognition for his efforts!

I had a great experience at Monro. The problem was diagnosed very quickly, and the technician explained it and actually showed me the exact problem with my catalytic converter. They ordered the needed parts and had me come in a few days later for the fix. The cost ended up being lower than quoted and everything was handled quickly and done well. My vehicle runs like brand new. The guys were super nice! Ive already recommended them to several people and will continue going there for my routine maintenance and repairs. I never felt like they were trying to pad the bill or do unnecessary work.

Everyone at Monro was very friendly and helpful. My car was done pretty quickly without any issues. I was even given tips on how to ensure my car would last longer.

I had a couple minor issues with my check engine light and a slow leak in one of my tires. The staff was really friendly and informative as to what work they did and what was going on with my vehicle. The work was completed quickly and I havent had any issues since. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic place. Cant say enough good things about their master mechanic John G, Steve (Manager) and Tommy. There is absolutely every reason to take your vehicle here. They can and will fix anything and everything wrong with your vehicle. Its not often said anymore, but these men have earned the trust of everyone who comes in. Honest mechanics, honest shop.

I needed a car inspection , called and set up an appointment. The car was in, inspected, and out in roughly one hour, and as a repeat customer I had a card that took $5 off the inspection cost.

Went in for an oil change. Also had a loud thudding that I wasnt planning on having looked at. The mechanics insisted on checking it out, and it turns out there was a screw in my tire! They removed the screw and patched it up at no cost! Great service!

After getting a flat tire inbetween classes at Siena College, I called to see if I could come in to see if the tire is repairable and they got my car in within 5 minutes. They were able to patch the tire and get my car back on the road within 45 minutes! I greatly appreciate their quick service when I had to return back to Siena during finals. Also, all the guys there are kind and are great with customer service!

I recommend this Monor repair shop. Marcel and John (I think that is the mechanics name) are great. The check engine light was on in my daughters car since we bought the car used we didnt have great repair records. When they showed me the shoddy work some other repair shop had done I was shocked. I could have been a dangerous situation. They properly replaced the fuel line and showed me their work. They were genuinely concerned about my daughters safety and made sure everything else was running right before we left. Thanks, guys.

Mike and his team got me in for service in a pinch and did a great job. They found a problem that the dealer missed and made sure the brake fluid was changed properly. He even applied a coupon that I forgot to bring! Mike just took over management of this shop and is staffing up to add more capacity and capabilities such as vehicle inspection (now once a week). Ask for Mike and he will make sure you get great service and a job well done.

My low beam headlight was out and I bought the bulb to replace it myself. I wasn t sure if it was worth doing myself and decided to swing by this location. Mike was awesome, friendly and accommodating. Although only working with one other technician and having full bays, Mike stepped out to quickly switch out the bulb for me, no questions asked!

Been going to this location for about a decade. They are honest and fair. Never had a bad experience.

Very attentive, responsive and honest. Dropped my car off minutes before closing and was called back that same night and given diagnosis of the problem. We went to Monro expecting to get our tires changed. What we got was exceptional service, fair pricing and a kind smile. Would highly recommend 10/10

Went to Monroe because I have had good experiences in the past with making repairs to my auto. This time however not very pleased with the service or the repair. Exhaust became loud when a flex pipe up near the engine busted. Had it replaced a couple yrs ago. This time however told I needed a whole new exhaust as it was to old. Would replace everything with OEM parts and a full guarantee. 2012 Ford explorer limited.. replacement would be at the tune of nearly $1600. A fast check of parts from various parts store found that the parts alone would be around $1100. NAPA and Advance Auto. With labor and tax ut seemed to be a fair price. Give okay to get it done. Would be done in a couple of hrs. Nearly 4 hours later car comes off the lift, pay my bill and on my way. Drive 1/4 mile and have a huge vibration noise coming from rear of car. Bring back. Apologies from mechanic as he explains that a exhaust hanger had to be trimmed because it was 1/2 to long and hitting the frame. Grind it off. Problem solved. Realize that I previously had chrome tips on muffler exhaust which was part of the Explorer Limited package but I no longer have them and if I was n.v red them I would have to purchase them separately for my car and have them put on it put them on myself. Was told originally that all parts are OEM, so where are the tips. Round and round but no tips. Why would one have to grind off a new OEM exhaust which is designed for my specific auto and why do I have to purchase chrome tips when you know that as a limited vehicle they would be part of the original equipment. Fix it right the first time and supply all the parts needed for the repair. Not a happy camper and wont ever go back or recommend Monroe Muffler. Letter to corporate is in the works. Car is quiet as exhaust is repaired but I question workmanship and the quality of the product I was sold and paid for.
