These guys were ok. Too busy to take cate of a couple customers, had to wait to test drive a vehicle (over 30 minutes) . I had 3 vehicles to test drive, only got to test drive 1. They dont follow through as interested in the customer, more so the $$.

I bought a 2017 ford f150 xlt back in February and it has been nothing but a head ache. So far I have had a blown head gasket, a severe oil leak, and just this week one of my coils began misfiring and I have to take it to my mechanic once again. When my truck broke down originally I called exit 5 and was forwarded to the mechanic and he was extremely rude and arrogant so I decided to bring my vehicle else where. I m glad I purchased the warranty through Empire State Warranties because they have been a blessing.

Saw a vehicle i was interested in on carfax website for sale at exit 5 auto. The team was very quick to respond, and we set up an appointment on a Saturday. Drove the car home that same day. No pressure and they got me going in a very timely manner considering there were only 2 sales guys on the floor being it was a saturday. The detail crew did a fantastic job i would highly recommend this car dealership. They got me setup with an affordable payment even with far from perfect credit. 10/10 do not hesitate to deal with exit 5 auto they are a honest and a reliable buisness.

I showed up at Exit 5 Auto Group and spoke with Rome Wager about a car for my daughter, her first, nice car, but the tires were a bit worn so I mentioned it and said can we get a new set thrown on as part of the deal? He said, Im sure we can if its gonna be a deal breaker. My daughter test drove it said she liked it and the owner came out to talk to us. I mentioned the tires and he immediately said no. So I said, how about 25k instead of 25, 900 and he said no way, I can sell it for 26,025 dollars to a dealer that called. An extra 125 bucks?! While closing the deal, they pinched her for an optional dealers fee of 175 bucks, for cleaning a car with less than 6 thousand miles on it? .Crazy! They told her she could pick it up anytime on Wednesday. She needed it Wednesday night for a long drive for work/career and the car she was replacing couldnt make it. Despite calling first thing in the morning and again at noon, they ended up calling her back at 3 pm and stiffed her, telling her they had fully booked appointments and she couldn t pick it up until Thursday. She missed her work trip and had to rearrange her work schedule as a result. Just a bad experience for both of us. I wouldnt recommend throwing them any business.

A really great experience with no pressure and the staff were friendly and helpful. Out of all the places I have ever got a vehicle from this by far was the best experience. About 2 weeks ago my husband went to test drive a car. Everything was fine except the cars battery light came on. The salesman said the battery needed to be replaced. Less than 48 hours later, I came in to test drive the car. My husband asked if they had fixed the problem. They said it was working fine. I turned the car on. It stalled on me 2 seconds after I turned it on. When I pointed this out to the salesman, he said It was fine and waved his hand. Thinking it was a fluke, we went for a test drive. A minute down the road and the car stalled twice. Had to call to have it towed. When the salesman arrived, there was no apology offered. Instead, he said: My boss has been driving it for a week without a problem. No, the cars battery was dead and nobody thought to replace it before the next test drive. We were willing to forgive you if you just apologized. You didnt. For that, you not only lost a sale, you lost a potential future customer. You cant do that to people.

My experience in buying my first car here was amazing. I loved the communication as well as the compromisation. They helped out with just about everything. I ve been searching for a car for ages and when I finally found one that fit me it was a breeze after that. A year ago, Joey Stracener shook my hand and told me the rear brakes will be replaced on your wife s car before pickup. Seemed like a decent man, i was wrong and should have checked. A year later come to find out the brakes were never done and magically there is no records on file of it being serviced. Exit 5 has employees that cannot keep their word. I d highly recommend avoiding them at all cost.

Punch buggy Grey! No punch backs - she s a keeper! Our 2013 VW beetle has been ours for about a week now and we are thrilled! Thanks to Roam and Exit 5 Auto of Latham, NY, who helped us with our purchase. We came over from VT for a test drive and Roam waited for us to arrive and was completely cordial and went over all our questions and shared all the work they did to get the buggy up to near perfect. A new hub cap to replace one that was peeling and squeaky window, plus other work like the brakes pads etc. He went over and above to make sure any questions were answered in a timely manner and any issues I felt uncertain about, he put me at ease as they supplied the car fax and the work that Exit 5 does to get the vechicle in top running order and also looking its very best. And they delivered to us when the time came . I ve never owned a new vechicle and the service I received made me feel like I just purchased a brand new vehicle. Looks like they reached out to google to have my initial review deleted here is what it was: I ended up purchasing a car in September and every couple of weeks I have had more issues pop up over time. I have seen other low star reviews where the response is you didnt work with us or let us know of the issues. I certainly reached out every time I have had an issue and albeit annoying and creeping up to being expensive in transport (Ive spent a couple hundred on Ubers and Lifts to and from exit 5 since I purchased the vehicle), they have fixed all the issues up to this point until today. I purchased a Chevy Malibu 2013 with about 74,000 miles for $11,500 and I got the best warranty they seemed to offer around $3,700. There was low sales pressure and I really appreciated that. It gave me the ability to take my time and find what I wanted. However, when I went to go purchase the vehicle Greg Brown (the sales manager I worked with) told me they dont do price negotiations and that they are a one price dealer. There is no mention of this on their website but the price was fair enough and I was in a hurry to get a new car so I could continue getting to work every day and just let it go. I see no mention in any reviews of this tactic and I see no mention on the website of this being their standard practice, so I feel just like I have been tricked quite a bit in hindsight. Now for the myriad of small issues that have been addressed over the past 3 months. First when I received the vehicle, I got a protective coating with that pricey warranty I previously mentioned. They said they would get it taken care of the week after I bought it because I needed the vehicle to get to work, however I was not contacted for 2 weeks, and I eventually had to reach back out and get it all scheduled myself which was annoying but Im just nitpicking there. A few days after getting the coating applied the brakes started to malfunction and the brake pedal would stay depressed. I brought the car in, and they said that it worked all fine and they could not replicate the issue. To be fair, after I received the car back from them it was working fine for a few days. After those few days all the check engine light came on as well as the lights for ABS and traction control and I had to bring it in again. This time they said they replaced the whole braking assembly. After that the car was working fine for a good month and I finally thought all the growing pains were over and I do want to re-iterate that they did take care of everything to that point without me having to pay additional fees. That is until today. I woke up about 2 weeks ago and my backup camera was not working so I called in and scheduled an appointment for today which was the soonest they had available. They didnt mention that there would possibly be a diagnostic fee or that there would be charges at all since I only bought the car a few months ago I thought it would just be taken care of like the other things. Even with the $3,700 warranty there is a fine print $100 deductible for getting it taken care of and it would have been even more expensive if I didnt have it. I dont look forward to the future of issues with this car as I already am getting at least 1-2 a month. I would suggest shopping elsewhere as I am just getting nothing but remorse and bits of spite at this point from how many days Ive had to set aside because of this car.

I purchased a 18 Ram from them in March, when the deal was being made the salesman agreed to fix some paint issues/rust bubbles on rocker panels. It was stated that it would be 100% before the truck was sold. The dealer had bumper bros paint the rockers and they were good when the truck was picked up. With in just a few months the paint was flaking off and rockers are rusted 10x worse. After I reached out to dealer they stated the salesman doesnt work there anymore, and they dont warranty rust. They said they contacted bumper bros but they wont do anything about it even though it was only a few months later. Spent $25k on a truck that has rusted out rockers. I live 3 hours away from Exit5 Auto and worked with James. He was absolutely wonderful. Being so far away communication was key. He was quick to respond and we did as much as we could via phone and email so that when I arrived with my trade in everything was ready to go. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable driving so far for a truck.

Scam artists. Purchased a vehicle 6 days ago. The front passenger tire was bubbled. Called them and they took it in after telling us that within the first 30 days if anything is wrong, they will fix it. I got a call of them informing me that it was somehow our fault that the tire was bubbled and they will not replace the tires. The car was driven only twice. They will lie to you about what they have done to the vehicle, and they will blame you if there is something wrong with the vehicle. Reporting to BBB and obtaining a lawyer. Dont risk your life by purchasing from them. ***Editing because you replied stating that the NYS inspection was done the day of pick up, but that is a lie. Per documentation provided, the inspection was completed on 10/12/2023 meaning that car then sat on the lot for almost 2 months before I purchased along with the tire pressure not being checked since then. I also loved that the service rep when confronted lied saying you replaced the tires but you did not*** ***Editing to update. We were in contact with Joey who was amazing and helped resolve all issues.***

Once upon a cold December I smashed into my coworker two days before Christmas. It was horrible weather outside, just slid on ice into her car. My car got the worse of it so asking around my friend suggested I go to exit5 auto . I was scared at first because I co-signed with my brother for my other car so idk if I would have to co-sign again due to my credit. I m not a car shopper but more of a shoe shopper so I was lost when I got to exit5 to look around. Luckily James said , Hi . Usually I m more , I can do it myself so don t help me b/c I know you just want to sell a car! Shockingly he wasn t an aggressive car salesman , he was more relaxed and was happy to explain and actually take me to his desk and car shop with me. This was all done on a thurs/fri just on remember but he gave me a booklet of the last owners/work that has been done on the car and my credit score and past bill payments just to show me where I stand and to look over. So if I decided to look around other car places I have the information to compare. I told James I will be back Wednesday because for a used car, the mileage, the owners, the car itself has brand new tires. It was a perfect fit for me and the car was mine after James got all the paperwork ready for me to make things easier because I had to drive from exit 16 to exit5 . Yes, I traveled that far for Good Customer service and Honest reliable transportation. Also if anything is ever wrong I can just text James about my car and I can set up an appointment with the onsite shop. Best decision I ever made and I will be going back for future purchases. I cannot thank this dealership enough for helping get the vehicle I really wanted! I ve had a Sonata for a while now that I was not in love with and had my worries about going forward with it. I had seen this place on CarGurus and decided to check them out. They gave me the best trade in offer for my car then anyone else had, none of the other offers were even close to theirs. It took a few weeks and quite a few vehicle test drives but I eventually found the perfect vehicle for me, a Ford Expedition, and it was right in my price range. They got me approved quickly, needed a co signer cause my credit isn t the best, and I was leaving with my new to me vehicle the next day. The vehicle was pristine. Gotta give props to their detail department! If you re looking for a car, give them a check. They actually put time and effort into the vehicles they have. They give you all the maintenance records for what they fix on the cars they take in, they give you the CarFax, and they are not pushy or constantly trying to sell you something. They want to get you in a vehicle your happy with. Huge shout out to Patrick, Adam and another salesman whose name sadly escapes me. When I m in the market again these guys will be my first stop. I purchased 2 vehicles from here, a Toyota Sienna and a Chevy Silverado. The Toyotas AC compressor went bad and I had to purchase a new one (not the issue) this compressor went bad again within a year of getting replaced. This time it was covered under the warranty, within the next few months it went bad once again which now fell outside of the warranty. I also had to have my lines flushed and repaired which their mechanics used a non rated compression fitting to splice my line. Now on my fourth I started having suspicions and brought this to another mechanic. This mechanic shared with me that there was a washer missing in the compressor causing it to heat up, seize and shoot shrapnel into my AC lines. So once again I had to pay for a new AC compressor as well as new AC lines. I brought all of this including photos and paperwork to Exit5 s service manager who took copies and said the only thing they can do was try to get me a $500 refund from the compressor. I went through the other mechanic who was not able to do this because Exit5 used a non OEM part. The exit5 service manager told me I was to be notified of this but I never was. Within one service from the other mechanic I have not had an issue with my new compressor since. Now, onto the Chevy. The Chevy had high miles on it so I purchased a warranty with this. Within 2 weeks the AC compressor went out, lucky for me I had the warranty and had to pay $100 out of pocket (not the issue but was suspicious). Recently, Exit5 started sharing videos of what services were completed and recommended. They told me I had a coolant leak which again I had fixed by my other mechanic. I had a water pump, belt and thermostat replacement ( just adding context here). I have been bringing my vehicles here because they offer the free inspections and oil changes with a purchase of a vehicle. A couple months ago I had the oil change done which is when they notified me of the coolant leak. I do not drive this truck very often and if I do it s only a 2 minute ride down the road. That being said my low oil light turned on. When I checked the oil level it was EMPTY! There were no leaks! I added oil but now the engine shakes terribly. If you purchase a vehicle from here never ever use there service, don t even get your oil change or inspections here.
