Brought my Nissan Murano to Anthony at Aamco of Lynbrook with what I thought was a transmission problem. These cars are notorious for Faulty transmissions, after Ant ran diagnosis, it turned out it wasnt a problem with the Trans.. it was a cylinder coil problem. Now I can fix this problem myself for under 150$. My mechanic of 15 years didnt catch this. Thank God there are still honest people out here.

I brought my car in with the concern that I might have a transmission issue. Anthony made the process smooth, and I felt at ease leaving my car in his care along with his staff. It turned out that I didnt have a transmission problem, and Anthony dedicated his time to help determine what might be happening with my vehicle. Don t go here! Get a Second opinion. You will know why after. TheyWILL try to sell you a service that you don t need. They will also use your vehicle for running errands and picking up parts. I have see them numerous times doing this. Again don t use them!

AAMCO Lynbrook was wonderful to work with. Had a clutch replaced on a 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Anthony kept us apprised of the work needed all thru the process, and we were on vacation! Car was fixed and picked up after we returned. Very pleased.

05 Acura TSX - 6 Speed Manual Had some issues with what seems like the clutch making a grinding and feeling softer than normal. Took it to AAMCO in Lynbrook and spoke with Anthony. Was able to get an appointment next day. Based on the reviews I figured it was going to be a decent experience , but Im more than happy with how I was treated They had two techs test drive it and found no issue with the clutch and they didn t try to make up an issue just because I heard a sound. Anthony was very honest and straightforward and didn t charge me for the service. Helps me to alleviate a large expense now and gives me a reputable place to come back to. Would definitely recommend, you won t get robbed or slighted like other shops would try to do.

Brought my 2014 Chevy Malibu to the Lynbrook location. I was experiencing intermittent shifting issues with my transmission and ultimately needed some major work. Anthony was pretty straight forward, he informed me of the issue at hand and provided a few different packages available in correcting issue. From there I was able to choose a package that was suitable for me. On June 1, 2023 I brought my 2012 Lexus RX 350 into this shop because my mechanic for many years told me that my transmission was going bad. Anthony made me an appt and had my car for a couple of hours. Upon retrieving my vehicle Anthony told me that theres nothing wrong with my transmission and suggested another issue that may be the problem which is way less expensive than a brand new transmission. I apprciate the honesty of this shop and would highly recommend.

I brought my car here after a TRAUMATIC experience with another local mechanic. I dealt with Anthony from the moment I called the shop, and before my car even got there he was very professional, and an excellent communicator (a rare trait in a mechanic shop). He updated me every step of the way, and I felt very comfortable that he cared about the customer experience. I spoke with Anthony on a Friday and described the problem that I was having and said that I can come in on Monday, if anything because I had to work. When I arrived Tuesday, I said I know you might not remember speaking to me, I said my name and then he described my car. I was in. Anthony walked me through the process and was very helpful. I brought my car in after my car dealer service told me that i need a new transmission. i wanted to get a second opinion and I brought it to AAMCO. I used AAMCO many years ago and I knew there workmanship is second to none. Anthony at Lynbrook AAMCO informed me that it was not the transmission. They charged me zero for the diagnostic and told me it was probably bad gasoline or a tune up that would fix the problem. Anthony was quite professional and could have sold me a transmission for $7,500. I cannot say enough what a great experience I had with them.

I called Anthony to ask for a quote on a transmition because in several places they had told me that I needed a new one, but Antony was very honest telling me lets check the car first and then you decide whether to do it with us or not. After they the car he call me to tell me it was the axle needed to be replaced. Best experience with Anthony. My car felt like it was having some issues but no code or anything was coming up to show a problem. Anthony suggested it could be a mechanical or electrical issue but the car won t show what s going on. Unfortunately my check engine light came on sometime later and called Aamco and spoke with Anthony to see what the issue is. It was able to fixed and I m so grateful. When I spoke with Anthony, he was truthful and honest and I really appreciated that. All car owners wants is to get a fair and honest opinion and that s what I feel Anthony did.

I have a 2015 Elantra with 69k miles. On our drive up to NY the transmission was slipping between gears and progressively deteriorating. I called several shops the next morning to find one that could do diagnostics immediately before the weekend. AAMCO Lynbrook said diagnostic is free, and they have an appointment available that morning. As things would have it, the car was acting fine on the drive to the shop. I gave them the car, they ran the diagnostics, and couldnt find anything wrong. They called me back to pick up the car, and diagnostic was free like they said. They treated me courteously, and I appreciate that.

After my Subaru sat for 2 weeks at North Coast Subaru in Glen Cove while they attempted to get Subaru NA to repair my failed transmission, I finally towed the car to Aamco in Lynnbrook. From dropoff to pickup, Anthony, the manager, was nothing but helpful. I settled on a used transmission with an extended warranty. The part arrived a few days later and was installed promptly. All said and done, i was back on the road in a week, including the time it took to source the part. My car was towed to aamco in Lynbrook on September 2022. The transmission needed to be redone. I spoke to Paul( who claims to be the manager) I asked about the financing he sent me a link to fill out the application. Aamco was giving a promotion 6 months deferred interest on charges less than 199 or 12 months on charges 799 or more. I applied and was approved. I called back to let him know that I was approved, Paul then asked for the credit card number to have on file I gave him the number to find out that he charged my card 3000.00 without my knowledge. I also spoke with him about my inspection it was expired. He said he needed to talk to his friend to see if he would be able to do the inspection. I called nysdmv and spoke to a representative there. They informed me that the shop should do the inspection whether it was to pass or fail. When I told this to Paul he got irritated and hung up the phone. Aamco also had coupons on their website for transmissions repair which he did not extend to me as well. Paul got irritated and hung the phone up on me. I also put a call into corporate and there was no response there either , I was put through to a voicemail. Still no answer .

The Transmission service was impeccable. I am so pleased with the work that Amoco did. I wish I could do an ad for them. Keep it up Aamoco Honesty is the best policy. The owner and staff were so accommodating that I thought they were being nice to get my business but to be honest I found out after the work was done that they are truly genuine. I work 6 days a week and never have time to take care of my car. My car broke down by this AAMCO. I was worried about my car and stressed about the money it would take to fix it. After they diagnosed the issue, I was relieved to find out it was a simple fix. I learned my lesson, will be coming back for maintenance. I ve been having major problems with my car for a very long time now. I have been to many different mechanics who just charged and charged with no resolution to my problems. I finally was recommended Dario at this office and finally I can say my car is fully functional without any noises or problems. It runs smoothly again. The service was top notch: very efficient, did not have to wait long. The price was very fair especially when compared to other places that did NOT fix my problem. I went to Aamco of Lynbrook on Monday because I had an acceleration issue with my car. The last time I had this issue I ended up having to get a new transmission. I spoke with Anthony about what I was experiencing and we ran through a brief history of my car. Anthony was completely honest with me and told me that he does not believe it to be a transmission issue. Anthony explained a number of things that it could have been and stated that if the issue does happen again to come back and they will do a full check on my car. Anthony was so kind and honest; and you really can ask for anything more. I was nervous going in because usually you go in with one problem and leave with ten. Anthony did not make me feel like I was going to be taken advantage of and that makes me feel safe to come back if i have any other issues.

Hello All, I want to say I don t normally write much review when asked to but in this case it was a must. I deal with service manager Paul who had great communications skills, a people person and made my experience a good one. He is administratively very knowledgeable because once I mention I had a warranty he already knew I would for most part be covered due to my complaint and already knew there might have been a transmission related issue. We made an appointment and he had one of his expert transmission specialist Raj test drive to diagnose the issues. On top of that they detected other issues and it was cared for and even provided me with a veterans discount. He kept me well informed throughout the process. I rate this as an A+ experience. The only downside was the warranty company Endurance slow process. However I m happy with the service provided and would highly recommend there service. Also, to be funny about this experience a week later my ride still smells like a workshop.lol.

Paul is amazing! He is very understanding and offers creative solutions to make sure you vehicle is working properly. I was totally prepared to spend upwards of $300 after taking my wife s abused car in! Spent a moment with Nick who stated, I d love to take your money, but this is all under warrantee. Take it to the dealer! The dealer was on a 6 minute drive away! All set an hour later. Shop looks well organized and maintained. When out of warrantee, I ll definitely be back! Thanks Nick.

They did a good job on my transmission but when I got my van back there was no power on the inside of my car the did something and blow the main fuse I had to take my van some place else and pay $170.00 to get it fix so if you going to take your can there just expected to to have another problem you have to get fix out of your pocket

Very Professional, Service Manager gave a detailed diagnostic of the problems with my vehicle and provided recommendations to fix it. Great ownership as well. The owner of Ammaco in Lynbrook took the time to follow up on my visit.

I have Subarban 2015 and Aamco garden city branch they put the wrong transmission in my truck and refuse to change when I ask them. Then I talk to head office and visited Nicklaus in Aamco Lynbrook he helped me and change my transmission now its running very good. Nicklaus is nice guy.

After being told by two different shops that i needed a transmission for my 06 tribute a friend suggested i try aamco lynbrook because of how happy she was with the work they did on her transmission. . Boy am i lucky to have a friend like her turns out i didnt need a transmission after all, the problem was a sensor and some frayed wires. Nicolas the manager a fairly new transplant from another aamco center and his crew were pleasant and very knowledgeable .They found my problem and fixed it for a fraction of the cost saving me a couple of thousand dollars . WAY TO GO GUYS YOU ROCK!!!

My Acura TL had its annual transmission issues. Management at this location worked with me in terms of pricing and I havent had any more issues. This is a go-to Aamco.

I went to the one in lynbrook and had an awful time with them. The people were rude and Aamco false advertisements within their company.

i was over there about two weeks ago it was the best experience i ever had the people there where vary caring about my needs it was quick accessible and vary convenient. my car problem was fixed and i didnt even have to worry about something happening again to it.

Worst place ever been to .managers is jackass .never experienced a place that a manager has no clue on managing a shop dont have no clue on writing up work orders and dealing with insurance companies.dont inform customers on parts and labor . And not willing to work with Customer on price ,to charge a customer over $300 for transmission filter and fluid it was ridiculous. Mechanics was very helpful but they need to get rid of the manager . I should have noticed the clues when you stàrted talking to the manager and he had no clue on transmissions testing and procedure and idealings with insurance company. I say beware

The worst experience I ever had. Schweb is a con artist at this trade. I went to Aamco because I had a check engine light. On 10/4/14 it was a Saturday and they close at 12pm. I was asked to leave my car. On Monday I get a call from Schweb and he starts to say maam you have a Volvo, the parts for this car is very expensive. I need your authorization to look at your transmission and the only way I can see the problem is if I take it out. So I said okay. Had I known what I know $700.00 today I would of said no. So he calls me on 10/8/14 and tells me that since I have a Volvo 2001 its going to be very expensive to fix. He said the cost to rebuilt the transmission will cost me $3695.00 and that I needed an engine mount and that will cost $495.00. So I said to him, put back the transmission. Then he said maam, you have to pay for the labor. I asked him how much was the labor because Im not going to pay $3695.00 to rebuilt the transmission. He would not tell me the cost of the labor. Long story short, I had my boyfriend go to the shop with a flatbed tow truck because I did not want to pay for him to put back the transmission or the storage fee. My boyfriend went with the tow truck and he refused to give him the car. He claimed that he could not allow him to take the car open like that and he didnt want anyone to laugh at him. So my boyfriend left with out the car. On 10/28/2014 I was furious because I thought I can trust Aamco with my car. I called and told the gentle man on the phone that I did not want anyone touching my car because I did not trust Schweb anymore. He made my boyfriend sign a letter stating he is not liable for anything with my car. And he charge me $700.00 because Schweb stated he had to charge me for something. This man is a dishonest crook. I was not explained anything in the beginning when he asked me to authorize him to take out my transmission. He admitted that he was wrong for not telling me. And said it was a miscommunication on his behalf for not telling me about any charges if I did not want anything done after he took out the transmission. But I had to pay $700.00. He did not give me an itemized bill for the charges. This man is crook. A liar and a thief. Do not go to this man. I report him to the BBB. This place is not woman friendly!

Horrible experience. Rebuilt transmission made the whole car vibrate terribly. The manager blamed it on other things all of which I had repaired for an additional thousand dollars. Still no improvement. The shifter cable broke during all of this going on so I left the car again. It sat there for a week without them even looking at it. So I took it elsewhere to be fixed. I was told Aamco was to blame for the broken cable, and that the transmission brackets, mount, and pan were improperly re-installed. Upon returning to Aamco and approaching the manager he told me I had work done elsewhere on the car and could now not honor my warranty. They also ignored two attempts from the BBB for a resolution. So now I have no choice but to go to small claims court.
