They tried to sell me flushes and tune ups Chevrolet calls for 100 mile and my truck has 50 thousand miles. Oh ya and $150.00 oil change. Contacted the dealer and they charge $89.00. Bunch of crooks...

Had previous appointment 12/20/24.Two people were accepted in front of me without appointments while I stood there. Then I was told they couldnt fit me in. I was ON TIME and they made me reschedule but did 2 others without appointments. Now rescheduled 12/23/24. Arrived on time. 30 minutes later I asked status. They said they lost my keys and the manager left for lunch so they had to wait for him. Half an hour later, the manager returned. Finally my car was taken in. NO APOLOGY EVER. Two appointments screwed up due to mismanagement. I wasted way too much money and time to get a simple inspection. Previously this location was decent. Not any more. I WILL NOT USE THIS BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE. They should be paying ME for my lost time.

Thanks to the Herculean efforts of the folks here, our trip from Vermont to Woodstock was able to continue. Our Subaru Outback started to have severe front-end shaking on I-87 and my son googled repair shops on the area - the four and five star ratings and the fact it was open until 8 convinced us to make our way there. Brett at the front desk immediately identified we were traveling and moved the diagnostic look to the front of the line. Turns out the LF axle was broken. They got the parts late in the day, again by going the extra mile to get it delivered as auto parts stores were closing ( it was now about 6:30) and once it arrived got everything back together quickly, aligned the car and we were back on the road by 8:30. Our wait time was spent at the nearby Dunkin (nicest one I ve been to) and we squeezed in a dinner at Aszuma Sushi (also excellent and within walking distance) Malta and the folks at Munro have a new place in our travels. Thanks again.

Its really rare that I write a negative review but this was a horrendous experience. 4 tires on my daughters Subaru mounted, balanced, aligned. It took going back 3 times. This is not rocket science. First they put on the wrong tires. Left, came back. Then had different valves on some of the tires and did not install the sensors. Left, came back. Finally got it done and I have zero confidence in the work. Was it aligned? Correct valves? Who knows????

Im currently sitting in the waiting area that Ive been in since 2:45pm today and its 10 minutes to 6 pm. Ive been waiting over 3 hours for a state inspection that I made an appointment for at 3 pm. Theres no discernable order in which they triage work that I can tell, so people that showed up after me actually left before me. Appointments dont seem to mean much here. This is my second bad experience coming here for routine maintenance (out of two). Cant say Id recommend them. Theyre chronically understaffed and poorly managed and the waiting area usually has a lot of swearing and arguing in it. Tonight specifically it was the manager screaming at a customer over the phone and hanging up. Then her boyfriend was in the waiting room making speakerphone calls and generally being disruptive. Only advice I could give you if you still choose to come here is to be willing to drop your car off. Theres better car maintenance in the area.

Trish was a lifesaver for me. I had an extremely expensive repair I was not expecting at all! She went over financing options with me and guided me through the process. She went above and beyond spending a lot of time with me multiple times throughout the day. Outstanding customer service! I wouldn t have a running, legal vehicle if not for her assistance!

They cannot keep their appointment times they scheduled an appointment @ 12 their 1hr lunch break . My appointment was scheduled days ahead of time for 12 o clock for a simple inspection. 90 minutes waiting for inspection .I left without an inspection. they came back from lunch and filled up lifts with other people even though no one else waiting in the lobby .I left They should have one bay for oil changes n inspections only What I noticed was, they seemed to take vehicles in , order parts, Then leave those vehicles on the lift until the parts arrive, tying up the lift Sometimes for hours. If they re ordering parts for a brake job, I don t think it s that hard to throw the wheel back on park the car in the lot and move onto the Next project. I realize sometimes the car is apart and can t be put Together until the parts come, but my observations were to the contrary, as all of their Phone conversations were on speaker as I was sitting in the waiting area. I could hear what parts were being ordered and how long it was gonna take to get them.

Made an online appointment for a NYS inspection early on Sunday. Was sent confirmation and reminder emails and texts. Showed up at the time, only to find out they do not have NYS inspectors scheduled on weekends. Yet they allow us to make appointments??

I made an appt online, showed up to the shop, and was told that by the person behind the counter that they don t really use their online appt system, and that I did not in fact have an appointment. Didn t receive a phone call or anything letting me know that I shouldn t come in, and they were in no way apologetic about wasting my time.

Mechanic completely screwed up the diagnosis and thankfully I refuse the service. He wanted to charge me $35-$3800 for a job that was not necessary. When I brought it to a reputable garage, they are repairing it for less than $1000 and not for the item that the mechanic at Monroe, wanted to charge me for. Do not go here. Do not trust them.

Needed to get my boys cars winter tires on while they were here for Thanksgiving. Also needed to buy a set for one of them and me. Brett did a great job of lining everything up. He even extended a deal to Cooper tires that were being offered on other brands. Brett was very nice and easy to do business with. Thanks!

This has been my auto shop for almost 6 years now. Originally I went there because they were so close, but I have returned over and over for inspections, oil changes, minor and major maintenance and repairs. I even drove there once because I had just gotten a fix-it ticket for a taillight. They popped one in and sent me on my way. They are exceedingly kind, maintain goos communication and explain things in a way I understand. Trish was the absolute best when my alternator and brakes were replaced and inspection was due. She made sure I understood what was wrong with my car and what it needed. And she made every step convenient for me. The best part is that I never felt like I was being upsold or pushed into extras. They make sure your car works for you!

I had to be towed with a flat tire. I didn t have easy options for rides to & from home. They were able to get me in that day and seemed to take real pride in being able to help.

Terrible experience. After getting my snow tires put on, the staff threw my other tires away and placed them behind the shop next to the dumpsters. Instead of helping me, they told me to go get them my self. The tires were filled with water since it rained that day. They never once apologized or put my tires into bags until I asked. That is the last time I ever go to a Monro

I went to the Monro muffler shop in Malta, New York on October 23, 2024 for an oil change. When I went to pick up the car, they told me that I needed a control arm and quoted a price of $700 which included the alignment. I authorized the replacement of one control arm for a total of $700, as well as the oil change for $118. When I went to pick up the car, the bill was now $1598, and they replaced two control arms even though I only authorized one. I have complained to the store for the next four days, with no response. I then escalated the complaint to corporate Monro, and have talked to them three separate times with no response. I ve just put a hold on my credit card payment. I would never do business with these people ever again. Every time I ve called, I ve been put on hold for over an hour. They are simply trying to wear me down. I don t know how these people sleep at night. I would give them zero stars, but they don t let me do that. I also tried to call the 1 (800) number listed by Monro in similar complaints found below, but they don t call you back!

Scheduled an appointment for mid-day on a Tuesday to do a re-inspection. Took over an hour to complete. They left my vehicle running on the ramp for over 30min after doing the check. No idea why. The lift wasn t even raised. And they only needed to check the failure of the initial inspection, if it s within 30 days. Which in this case, was just the front windshield wiper. Ugh.

Brett and Arnold took care of some motor issues for me. They were transparent throughout the whole process and did their best to get my car back quickly despite some shipping delays. I appreciate having a great shop nearby for when the need arises!

I went to Monro a few weeks ago to have a tire patched due to a nail I found in the tread. The manager advised I was close to inspection time and my vehicle would not pass because my front brake pads and rotors were badly worn. They tried to convince me to have the work done right away stating they had the parts on-site and could do the brake replacements within 1 hour. I declined the offer after learning it would cost more than $800. Knowing I had had my brakes done within the past year at a trusted facility, and also I do not use my vehicle regularly, I took my vehicle to my regular mechanic for inspection which they did quickly and reported no issues at all with my brakes and that they were in very good condition. This is not the first time this has happened at Monro. They also tried this with my wife last year. I would steer clear of this business seeing their sketchy business practices.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Ready for this? I drop my car off at 10:30am. Tell the girl at the desk , maybe her name is Trish, not sure about the name , I need to pick up my car by 4pm. She says sure ,no problem like with a super confident tone in her voice. I call back at 2:30 pm , I ask if my car is done ,by any chance , early. I m on lunch and could get it now. She says nope not yet , but it s going in now . Cool. Get there about 4:10pm , the girl says , you just called right. I m like well I mean it was a hour and half ago. She says they are going to do it right now. I told them how they lied and over promised and under delivered. I need it by 4pm for a reason. She says I m not sure why it s not done, she thinks it s unacceptable and they will do it free. I was all set by then . I told her I don t want you people touching my car. I walked outside told the mechanic I m all set , as he was about to back my car up. I informed him as I did the now TWO girls at the desk , you all are really terrible at your jobs. Monroe Muffed it up, do not let them do it to you .

I brought my old Trailblazer to this shop for a sensor problem. In no time at all they dianosed the problem and fixed it right the first time. Couldnt have been less painful. Knowledgeable mechanics fair price and quick work. What more can you ask for. Special thanks to Brett for overseeing that the work got done correctly.

Don t bother making an appointment online you can still end up waiting over an hour till your vehicle starts to get service

This review is for the Malta, NY shop. Made an appt using online tool, got no feedback so I stopped in - online tool useless - had to restate needs anyway (rear brakes/rotors, one pad sensor and an oil change). Dropped off at 0745 on a Friday. Two hours later Trish called with a quote of $1105. I immediately protested and Trish responded, I have discounts.. Discounts amounted to $200 off - still unacceptable for the work requested. She stated that they do price match so I secured a quote from Croteaus (just up the road, and my normal shop - never had an issue there - only came to Monro due to schedule needs). Croteaus came in at $575 for the brakes (all in, labor included). Now, Monro did indeed honor the price match claim, but I am not a fan of the predatory and dishonest pricing practices. Made me not want to have them touch my vehicle at any price, but I gave them the go ahead, I needed my car for the weekend. I called them at 4pm to ask about status and completion - Techs still working on it, if you don t hear from us just come at 630pm, they ll be done.. I showed up at 630, they didn t finish until 659. At the time of payment Trish gave me a total, and asked Does that sound right? As if this was some kind of name my own price game. I replied is that what all the numbers on the screen add up to? She said yes. Ok then No one on the team could figure out how to reset the service indicators so I watched them fumble for a few minutes and then stepped in to show them. They all watched intently - I m glad I could help out - my sense is that no one had showed these people a number of things, from basic customer service on through technical development. Ultimately I feel like they kept my car all day in retaliation for pushing back on cost. Maybe, maybe not - but perception is reality. Writing this review for everyone out there that may not know how / when to push back on predatory pricing strategies. They can call it whatever they want but it s nothing more than common theft and it s unacceptable for any business to escape accountability for such practices. One star is a gift, should be ZERO.

Hilariously disorganized business that is very evidently mismanaged. Came in twice for an oil change at an agreed upon time with the manager and they were too busy each time. I d avoid this place if holding commitments for appointments meant anything to you.

I booked the apt the night before and got right in at 8am. There was a part hanging from the under carriage that needed to be stabilized. I was in and out in 45 mins.

They were able to fit me in last minute on a weekend. Friendly customer service, and they did it within ample time. Highly recommend

After close to 20 years as a customer and upwards of 20 different vehicles being serviced at the Malta location Im done with this place ! Upper corporate management has screwed with its employees and Techs pay scale causing the loss of a great manager ( Jim ) last year . After that this store has had a great decline in morale and the ability to keep skilled , honest and knowledgeable Managers and Techs. employed. This is just another example of big corporate greed and stupidity when not realizing how good and dedicated a staff they have and then screwing them over. I would recommend any regular customers and those looking for vehicles to be serviced look beyond Monro to have honest and skilled repairs done to your vehicle by other repair shops.

Weird you guys always fail cars for the weirdest things yet recently passed a Subaru legacy that had non compliant cat converters, missing multiple lug nuts, frozen calipers and a non working ebrake sketchy for sure

Called guys up and had me in for an inspection when I arrived.

I brought vehicle in for inspection they removed front left tire, I was told front rotors delaminated and would not pass inspection. Spring broken on front left, need new strut. And evrake to be fixed. Recommended rear brakes and rotors. Believing the I bought all the above and went about doing the work. First the left Front tire they had cross threaded lug, and It broke on removal, Front rotors and breaks almost brand new, only 4000 miles in past 2 years, I do have photos. Now Im mad. Luckily the strut was broken, so kind of worth it. Rear left was bad and brake pad missing, this should have failed inspection, but did not, was only recommended work I replaced rotors and brakes for all. Fixed e brake. Test all good. Brought back, now front caliper is to rusted!? I ask if working they said yes. I guess this was what was delaminated rotor? Anyways caliper is not brand new, but working and in very good shape. Also told bleeder leaking. I did not bleed fronts, so was confused. Told them to take off lift and Ill bring veh to a good shop. Just needed an inspection, I hate having to go to a shop, to have them lie through there teeth to up bill. Waste my time, and money, parts not free and replacing things that are working and definitely pass inspection but told they dont is bull. I asked for them to quote on lug bolt replacement due to them cross threading. They said couldnt believe me they cross threaded lug nut. Still got it if they need it. Its an annoying process was going to do myself but figured if cheap enough might as well. But I cant trust them to look at a veh, and communicate issues, and not make up issues. So angry. Wish I could post photos on here. Probably do this to a lot of people that dont work on own veh. Been to shop before for plugs in tires, but wouldnt trust for any work. They couldnt do alignment as they want me to buy tie rod ends, too rusty,(I have photos and they took are in good shape) I guess just like rotors!? (Lets jack the price).

JULY 2024 DO NOT USE THIS MONRO! Staff doesnt show up or on time! My husband had an appointment Friday, he showed up and was told the tech had to leave. Rescheduled his appointment for Sunday shows up and again no tech. According to other reviews and my husbands experience DONT SCHEDULE AN EARLY APPOINTMENT! Today (Sunday) she was 30 min late. No apologies and was rude to customers. My husband asked for her name and she refused to give it. We have a vacation tmrw and had to take our business elsewhere. VERY STRESSFUL!

I had an appointment on Sunday for an oil change. I was there At 10:20 for a 10:30 appointment, parked and walked in to a sign on the door, Sorry, no techs today, sorry for the inconvenience . Nobody called, to let me know this as they have my phone number and email address on file from my online appointment booking. I patiently waited with the girl behind the counter to finish with a customer. I simply wanted to reschedule my oil change appointment. She was apologetic, and rescheduled me for the following day, Monday, at 2:30 pm. I was ok with it all, as I understand all the hired help restrictions, since 2020. I arrived Monday at 2:15 for the appointment, for which I was told that it would be a few HOURS before they were able to get my car in. I stated that I didn t have a few hours to wait, asked if I should again, reschedule. I was told, let me see what I can do can you wait an hour? I said yes. I walked to price chopper across the street, did my grocery shopping, walked back my car hadn t moved. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes, my car stilll hadn t moved. I finally asked for my keys back, I just couldn t wait any longer. Appointments are made for reason! I m not sure that I would ever return to such a chaotic branch, again! I m sure that they TRY to make customers happy but it simply DID NOT WORK, with me, TWO days in a row! I ended up going to Take 5 in Amsterdam and was in and out in out in 15 minutes. Hoping others will take my advice!

They will forget to put things back on the car, charge you for things that don t get done and when you call to ask them about it they give you a hard time about it and have the WORST customer service.

Terrible!! My car handles worse than it did before I went there and this is my third visit for the same issue. It makes a more prominent louder noise than it did the first two times I brought it in absolutely awful service. I called them on the phone Saturday and someone named Trish told me she couldn t see me that day. I m in the hole almost $3000 and my car is worse than it ever was.

I had a great experience with Monro Auto Service this morning! Unfortunately, I woke up to find my Ram Truck with a flat tire and a large screw sticking out. After getting off the phone with one of their representatives, Britney, who was very friendly and helpful, I had my truck towed to their garage. What was extremely impressive was their quick turn around time so that I could get to work and not lose much time due to this situation. I really appreciated their quick response and wanting to be helpful. You dont get that much these days! Nice people and great service! I highly recommend!

Ive been a customer of Monro in Malta for 15 years but today will be my last visit. Ive probably spent tens of thousands of dollars here between 5 vehicles. The service was great until the longtime manager Jim left a couple years ago, and since then theyve gone through a bunch of managers and service keeps getting worse. Called on a Thursday to ask about dropping my car off for an oil change on Saturday. Trish, who I think is the current manager, told me I didnt need an appointment and to just drop it off in the morning. Got to Monro at 7:30 on Saturday with a couple other customers to find no one was there. Shop was dark and locked. Trish showed up around 7:50, unlocked the shop and took my key. I called at 2 pm to check if the work was done, and she told me it would be in soon after they finish up a couple vehicles ahead of me. I drove to the shop at 4:30 and the car was in the same spot I parked it in that morning. When asked why Trish said Well I have to finish up these other cars, we havent done yours yet. Took my key and left. I can excuse bad communication or other issues but this shop doesnt even seem to run anymore. I stopped having major work done here months ago and now Ill be getting oil changes elsewhere too.

I called to get my car in for a brake job and they fit me in that day and took care of it very promptly! After they checked my car out, they called and explained everything they were going to do and what the total cost would be. They didn t try to tack on anything extra to get more money out of me. I will definitely use them again! Many reviews mention the issues with the online appointment scheduling, but if you just call and speak to someone you shouldn t have a problem getting in!!

Manny and the crew were absolutely fantastic! Just passing through and stopped at 3 separate places in Saratoga springs, all were too busy to take a slow tire leak. Called this location and got us in immediately. - while I was waiting on the tire, techs were out in the parking lot looking under another vehicle to help that family. - super helpful, awesome service and super nice folks. If I lived anywhere near, this would be the shop I would go to, bar none. Thanks fellas!!

We were two hours in to an eight hour drive and stopped at the McDonalds for breakfast. When we got back to the truck to get back on the road, the truck wouldnt start. Dead battery. AAA was going to take too long so I walked over to Monro. They had a battery for my truck in stock. One of the employees offered to drive the battery over to the McDonalds, then he jumped my truck, decided it was best to replace the battery at the shop, and followed me to the shop. Everyone there was super great and helpful. Despite my truck battery being difficult to replace, they had me out of there in 45 minutes compared to the 2 hour wait I would have had with AAA. If I lived in the area theyd be my #1 shop!! Thanks guys!!

I ve come here for 2 different purposes. Once, an oil change. There were no problems with this. Recently, I tried to come in for an inspection, which I scheduled on their website. I get in and am told that the inspector is out for the day. I figure that s something you could call and let someone know before they waste their time. I was told to come in the next day at noon. I get in the next day at noon and am told that the inspection machine is broken. Once again, I m not sure what stops you from calling your appointments to let them know that you re unable to give the service you promise with the appointment made. This also happened with my girlfriend on two separate occasions. I m not sure who trains the people to sit at the front desk but evidently they aren t trained to do much aside from make excuses. I was pleased with my first experience at Monro but will never go back.

I got a flat tire and the guys were able to get me in the next day to get it all fixed. They also were able to replace my brakes at the same time. The whole team is extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

On Sunday I called for an appointment for my F150. They told me Wednesday was open and scheduled me. Dropped truck off on Tuesday night. Called them Wed night to check on status and was told a tech didnt show up so they couldnt get to it. Called Thursday at about 3:00 and they said they couldnt get it in because the Truck Bay was locked, whatever that means. Told them to forget it and picked up my truck to bring it elsewhere. Unfortunate, because I have had good experiences with this vendor in the past and have spent several thousand dollars in repairs here without any complant. Not going there again. Cant leave my vehicle sitting for 2 days with no activity when I have a scheduled appointment. Would give 0 stars but had to give at least one.

I made an appointment last week for this morning for an inspection. Upon arrival, I was told the inspection machine broke yesterday and they couldn t complete the service. Since I was on the schedule and they had access to my contact information, someone could have easily called to let me know, but I guess they couldn t be bothered. I took time off of work for the appointment, now I have to take more time off. Their customer service stinks.

I was on vacation in Saratoga Springs NY and ran over a screw and well my tire was flat. I wanted it towed to the nearest Ford dealership but they were closed so I had my car towed to Monro. What a great place. Brett took the car and checked it and they were going to fix it or replace it. Unfortunately the lug nuts have a lock and my dearlership in NJ forgot to put the key back. Without the key, the tire can t come off. Well that s when Eric stepped in and put in a plug. All fixed. Thank goodness for them and Trish for being the calm in my storm. Made it home safely. I highly recommend them.

I wish I could give a half of a star. I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change at 1030. Called the shop at 215 to check on the status of my vehicle where I was told it would be another 20 minutes and I d be all set. When I arrived 20 minutes later I found that my car hadn t even been brought into the shop yet. I also arrived 10 minutes before the shop opened on Saturday (original plan was a walk in) and the manager arrived 45 minutes late to open. There were multiple cars that had been waiting alone with me that waited and left. The mechanic arrived on time but informed us that he does not have a key to the shop, only the manager does.

This is the 2nd time we have gotten an oil change at this place and both times I called the day before to make an appointment at a scheduled time and both times they say I didnt make an appointment and we sit there for an hour or two. Not to mention they are not overly friendly.

Update. Had an appointment at Monro on Blacksmith Dr in Malta at 9 am. It s 10:30 and I m still waiting. The only mechanic just left in his truck. The receptionist stated that the other employee had a rough night and is not here yet. This place is a circus. Yet to see if they will honor the free oil change in an hour. Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They told me that they couldnt do the rotation because the lug nuts were on too tight. I explained to them that the Monro in Saratoga (Rt. 9) did my previous rotation. He told me to take it back there. When I took it to Saratoga Monro they got me in immediately and had no problem getting the wheels off. Come to find out, they actually use a gauge to make sure the wheels are not overtightened. I have heard horror stories about this particular Monro location. Stay away!

Has some work done here.And not happy at all with the results.Had a belt change and 2 months later belt was torn up and had to be changed again.So I had someone else do it..And will no longer use monroe..

If I could give the Malta store a 000 I would. Went to this shop 2 months ago and was told that a new belt was needed to the tune of $500 dollars. Brought our car to a REAL shop and was told the same belt was shredded just after 2 months (we were given the belt) went back to Monroe to show them. Employee who spoke with my husband was very rude and even chased my husband out the door swearing at him!!! Never go to this shop in Malta not only being so unprofessional also Never tried to make this right. We are going on a very long trip thank God we had another shop go through it, if this blew out on our trip it would of blown the engine. Monroe is not a company that I would use anywhere.

Malta ny. If I could give a negative 00 I would. I dropped my car off at 9am went back to pick it up at 4:30 pm and they never moved the car. Mind you it was only there for an oil change. The guy at the counter with a beard told me they would get to it & I could wait for it and when I said it has been here for 7 1/2 hrs he got very nasty and rude and told me there was only 1 person there I said they maybe you shouldnt make appointments. I have been going here for years. Now I have no oil change and have to rearrange my schedule. He should be fired.

Overcharge my older mother for a tune up. $1500! Installed spark plugs on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler - $383.94 (I just replaced them months prior!). Other misc charges make the total $1500. I called and a person named Joe answered. First thing he says what s your beef? . Then without asking and knowing anything about my vehicle specifically brushes off any valid questions I have. And says is the light off? . Yes it is, but these parts you have replaced were already done just months prior. And exceptionally overcharged. He then hung up on me and will not answer the business phone. Very disappointed and unprofessional. These are the people that you don t want your unknowingly mother or loved one to visit. Predatory tactics. Untrustworthy.

I brought my car in because my check engine light had been on for months. Joe the store manager was awesome and John one of the service guys, I couldn t have asked for a couple of better people. I will most definitely be back with all of my vehicles and recommend friends and family

Scott and his team are true, honest mechanics, and I couldnt be happier with the service I received. I had several issues with my vehicle. Scotts team got my vehicle completely road ready in a quick and efficient manner. They were honest with me from start to finish.

Made an appt and went in for a simple oil change. It took forever - okay, I get it, busy day. What was unacceptable was 4 hours later as I began a 3 hour road trip south, my car indicated that my oil was low. Odd, I JUST had it changed. Thankfully another Monro location in Albany squeezed me in - said this store had put either NO oil or very little oil into my car. He fixed the issue - but they had ONE JOB!

BEWARE!! Two separate incidents with two different cars where our tires almost fell off after getting work done here!!! Most recently was a few weeks ago, we had brand new tires put on at Monro after driving the car for a day or two, we began to hear a weird noise. When we brought it in the a dealership, we were told our front wheel was about to fall off. This neglect is a major safety issue that could have cost us or someone else their lives.

Joe and the guys were very nice and helpful.

Appointment was scheduled quickly by Joe and all service was performed promptly by Andrew in this clean and wel lit shop. Price was exactly as quoted. I m completely satisfied. Excellent shop!

Dropped off my truck with an appointment on a busy Saturday. Had 4 new tires mounted and had a front-end alignment done. They noted my concern about a fairly new truck with a possible factory alignment problem. Truck was ready by end of the day with bad factory alignment fixed. Good stuff.

There are true gentlemen working here!! They worked quickly, and got me back on the road after a near emergency loss in tire pressure on the nearby highway. I was EARLY to work after stopping here! To the crew present August 31st morning- Thank you for your hard work!!!

These guys are the best! Had a flat tire on a busy workday and they were able to get me in and back on the road within the hour. I highly highly recommend. Quality jobs but they will definitely upsell you and tell you there is something wrong with your car when there really isn t to try and squeeze every penny out of you. Be careful when going here and if you re a female please have a male go with you.

Went in for an estimate to have work done for a19 year old vehicle with only 64,000 original miles on it. Finally heard back a week later with a ridiculous made up amount of $9000! All that needed to be done was a new/used gas tank needed to be put in and almost entire exhaust system. (Customer willing to pay to have this work done for a fair price.)Well, I looked on Rock Auto and they have all the parts. The gas tank is only $288. So, instead of just saying from day one that they did not want to work on the vehicle, they gave us the run around all week. I am appalled and disgusted by their behavior. They judged us and discriminated us because of the way our vehicle looked. Its hard work that they did not want to do. They only do easy work, like changing oil or a tire. So, if you do not have a new vehicle, do not go there. (I know for a fact that the estimate is ridiculous because my brother is a mechanic. He has brain cancer and cannot fix the vehicle. Otherwise, he would have.)

I dont often leave reviews, but my recent experience at this Monro location (7 Blacksmith Dr, Malta) didnt sit well with me. Getting unexpected car repairs is already a hassle, balancing a hectic work schedule and arranging alternative transportation, not to mention the financial setback. I took my Honda Civic there to address a clunking noise from the right wheel, suspecting an issue with the tie rod. I left my car for the entire day only to receive a call stating the DRIVERS side brake caliper was the issue and needed replacing. Despite having had it replaced just a month prior, I approved the repair which came out to a bill between $300-350. They refused to return my nearly new rotor, and as icing on the cake the original noise persisted post-service. When I called to follow-up the next day, I was met with a suggestion to revisit the shop at potentially more cost. Ill be taking my car to another repair shop.

We moved to Malta last year and I brought my car in to have my summer tires switched with winters. I have been back several times since and usually deal with Joe who is both personable and professional. It s a very busy location so I recommend calling for an appt!

While on a weekend away, my husband and I experienced car trouble on our drive back to MI. We were sent here by a guy from advanced auto parts and we arrived just before closing on a Saturday. While doing a quick look over on the car, we were told to come back Sunday morning for repairs. The guys working Sunday spent almost 6 hours on the car, replaced parts and still could not guarantee that the car would get us home. They didn t charge us a penny, they made room in their schedule to help out a few strangers and we will forever be grateful for the time and energy they put in. It was a blessing to run across some honest, hardworking men. Thank you thank you!

Asked for a tune up, guy on the asked why I couldnt do it myself? Lol Then proceeded to hang up on me. Im sure the shop does good work, but the guy answering the phones is a total prick.

Had to change a flat tire and a man named Trevor helped us out. He stayed after closing hours and still chose to help. Super nice and friendly. Thank you Trevor

Dropped off my car to get front end alignment done after some work to the suspension, and they asked me a lot of questions that I have never been asked before. Stuff about why I didnt get the alignment done at the place I got the work done at, what work they did, where I had it done, those kinds of questions. That was a tad intrusive, but, thinking back on it this might have been a sign they actually cared more about the end result of having the work done properly. Anyways, after playing Twenty Questions with the guy at the desk, I dropped off my car and went for a walk around the area for an hour. After which I returned to find my car moved and the work completed, and heck, the steering has never felt more on the straight and narrow. Tested by going down the road doing 40 and there was zero play, and I needed to make no corrections when going forward. $139.00 in total (tax included) which I still think is a tad pricy for the work, since I was able to get one done for under $99 last year at an Adirondack Tire & Service. But we are in an inflation currently, so Ill take the stellar work and be on my way.

These guys here are awesome! I would highly recommend this garage to any of my friends or family. They are friendly, keep you in the loop and are affordable. If you don t have a go-to mechanic, these should be your guys. Merry Christmas to these hard workers.

After receiving a 2,280$ brake job on my truck, I drove away about a half a mile to have the rear driver side caliper fall off and become wedged between the rotor and the new wheel(s) I had put on the truck a month prior and almost causing several accidents in a traffic circle. This was due to the fact that the mechanic never put the caliper bolts back in.

All my tires were hand loose and out of balance. The dealership was supposed to put bead weights in my heavy duty truck tires and they did not and this store got me in and out quick. Thank you!

Last weekend when the temperatures were in single digits a tire pressure symbol appeared on our dashboard. This is the first winter we ve spent up north in 17 years, having moved up here from Florida to be near our son and his family. It was Saturday and we weren t sure what to do and my husband had his daily appointment at Saratoga Hospital to have his antibiotic infusion bag changed.. My husband called Monro and the manager, Brandon, told him to come right in. One of his mechanics, Carl, who was on his way to lunch, checked it out and said it sometimes happens when it s very cold and cleared the dashboard symbol. Because Brandon and Carl went out of their way to help us out, my husband made his appointment. While we waited, we overheard Brandon dealing on the phone with a customer who obviously , from Brandon s responses, kept going in circles, repeating the same demands. I was extremely impressed with how patient and professional Brandon remained throughout the call.

Poor experience. I made an appointment to have my tires changed. They told me it would take about an hour and a half. About 30 minutes after I dropped my car off, they called and asked where my wheel lock key was. I told them, they quickly said we already looked there. I drove back to the shop and found the key exactly where I told them it was. They were not at all apologetic. They then said that since they moved down the appointment list, my car would not be ready for a few hours. What was supposed to be a quick appointment turned into about 5 hours before my car was done. Again, they were not apologetic. I later found out that they had stripped my wheel lock key and I had to purchase a new one. Would not recommend.

I scheduled my appt for a new muffler 1.5 weeks prior to Saturday 3/2. When I arrived at 9 am I was told by your staff they could not fix my vehicle on the weekend because they don t have access to parts. They informed me my appt was only to look at my vehicle. I told staff they should have informed me that this is their policy. I have limited time from my work schedule on Monday- Friday basis. Staff at front desk stated they had only one tech working for the day that was only able to do basic repairs and a second one came in on day off to finish a car from previous day. They said I could wait until a new hire starts in another week and a half. If they were short staffed or they are unable to make vehicle repairs on weekend they should have reached out to me prior to me bringing my vehicle on Saturday. Staff did call and get my muffler in and I agreed to leave my vehicle in chance they were able to look at my car between sat and Sunday. They did fix my vehicle on Sunday but started they would have another mechanic come in an hour earlier to fix it but he wasn t going to get paid for it. I feel Malta Monroe was very understaffed and did not communicate with me that they were unable to accommodate car repair appointments prior to coming in on Saturday.

Made an appointment for an oil change 11:30am online and my vehicle was not taken in until 12:30pm. Waited an hour in the lobby without a word even spoken from the manager. Do not come here for quick service and I would not recommend appointments set up online. I would only drop your vehicle off and pray they get your work done quickly but expect it to take much longer than expected.

Went for oil change for my Civic and was greeted and signed in quick by Brandon. My car was done even before my appt. Location always has solid service even when I got an inspection last year.

We reached out to them with no notice on a Sunday morning and they were able to squeeze us in and get our son back on the road by 1 PM. Nice service!

I really appreciate how quickly they got my car in for an unscheduled appointment. It was a Saturday and five other shops told me they couldnt look at it until Monday. They had no problems getting in and the guys there were doing everything they could to help me out. Would definitely bring my car back if needed.

So, this is my third experience with this repair facility and I got to say less then seller. I dont know if it stems from the advisers being unable to properly explain alignment angles and specifications or the technicians not knowing or being ignorant of the the rear to front camber, castor, toe rule when preforming and alignment. Not every vehicle just needs a toe and go. I do understand that some shops have policies about certain jobs that may be dealership specific for special tools but its seems that this shop ether either doesnt want to do in depth repairs or doesnt have the properly trained technicians on hand They will preform a A/C evac and recharge but but cant do a evaporator core as on some vehicles it requires a dashboard removal. Theyll say its a dealer only job due to the air bags and they arent trained to remove air bags. Are they the shop and technicians) 609 clean air act certificated to even do A/C work at that point? Im sure if you need an only change or a tore rotation, you shouldnt have any issues.

Joey is the person who always helps me with problems with my cars and helps me get my prices for both the parts I need and his service is one of the best prices, (economical of course). This place has good service with people prepared for your needs.

We have been back a few times to this location and have had excellent customer service, Joey helped us on all occasions and is fair and honest with the pricing. He is extremely knowledgeable and even saved my Dad from having to do unnecessary repair. Thank You

Great service, friendly and knowledgeable. They did a winter/summer tire swap. My car has different tire pressures between front and rear. Every other tire center has never got those pressure right and that includes the dealer. Oh yeah they are also the least expensive.

This Monro shop (Malta, NY) has been consistently top notch. Very good service. Very clear communicators. Work is always excellent.

My husband and I were out for a Sunday drive to Saratoga Lake it was just lovely. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a problem with the tire. They took it right in to check it, and discovered it was a rock stuck in the wheel! They removed it and refused to charge us for their time!! Richard is a wonderful manager, and we appreciate his kindness & generosity! We highly recommend them! They are an example of true professionalism!

Was driving home from Saratoga to Watervliet and my tire went almost completely flat and needed to be plugged Had just enough air to get to the Monroe off exit 12 the 12 not only did the gentleman in the front desk do it right away And got it done super fast he then doesnt charge me for it whats completely Shocked me and appreciated it greatly thank you very much you guys are the best

I was very pleased to get my exhaust fixed in less than 3 hrs today. I made an online appt yesterday, dropped the car off this morning, got a call within an hour and a half with a fair repair cost, then picked my car up an hour later. 3 hrs from drop off to pick up, and they made the repair with a section of flex pipe as opposed to a whole new factory pipe which would have been at least $400 more. I definately recommend the Malta Monroe location, very friendly staff and they got me in and out. No games.

The company is fortunate to have such customer oriented management in the Malta, NY facility. I have been visiting this facility since it opened and have always been comfortable with their recommendations and alerts of concern.

The people here are so INCREDIBLY HELPFUL! I was travelling by myself from Saratoga Springs southbound when suddenly my tire indicator went on....I stopped immediately at a local Stewarts where a kind gentleman helped me fill it and then directed me to Monros which was not too far from there. When I got there it was close to 5 pm but the young man behind the counter said he could help me. It was a hot day, and he had a number of other customers coming in and out, but he found the time to bring my car in and serviced it himself! He was friendly and talked me through what he found and the steps he took to fix it (which was just a plug). When I asked for the bill - he told me no charge, which was a real blessing as I had to travel back to NJ that same evening and was running short on funds. I am moving from NJ to Watervliet and you can bet Ill be back to Monros for all my future automotive needs!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

The staff were very rude. Running behind even though I had appt. Mechanics left my car dirty. No formal waiting area. They had 3 black dirty chairs. TV going but they controlled it even though they arent the ones waiting.

A+ helped us plug a tire very quickly and didn t even charge!

I have been going to Monroe in Malta for many years. They are very polite, respectful, and right on time they talk to you through always with a smile. They were one of the best ones in the area and I will always be my vehicle to them.

Went in to have brake pads and rotors replaced, which was done. What I discovered the following weekend when I went to put my snow tires on was that they cross-threaded two lugnuts so that the bolts sheared when I tried to get them off, and there are 8 chunks taken out of my powder coated brake calipers. Rather disgusted with the quality of the work.

This is an edited review but I strongly recommend getting your work done at a different shop these guys are incompetent and dont know what theyre doing they attach things improperly and then expect you to pay for the damages that day end up causing

Joe was so helpful when I called up at 5:30pm needing tires on my vehicle, one tire had a nail in it , all four were badly in need of replacement from wear. He said bring it right over and they got it done that evening. Great service, very friendly. Thank you so much .

The work is good but they will say theres something else wrong with your car and recommend service that is not true so be careful of that

I have always been apprehensive when it comes time to get my car serviced due to added pressure and overall rudeness. This location was different. Joe and the rest of the crew were EXTREMELY kind and I, for once, felt comfortable within an auto repair/tire center. I will not only recommend, but will return for any other auto repair and/or service needs.

I have been to this store many times and they are always so reasonable, honest, and kind. Today I brought my car in as a couple weeks ago I switched my tires over to my snow tires and noticed one tire was leaking air. Since I had just had my car serviced at this shop they fixed the leak without any charge. I will continue to do my business here as they really are all about the customer. This place is terrible. The customer service is the worst.. and there is no communication whatsoever so you have to tell the same thing to 3 different people.

Good garage fair prices

Took care of my rear brakes and calipers. One of the calipers was hung and causing the pads to wear to early. Professional and provided cost of service so I could decide how to proceed. I have used them before and have provide excellent service.

I ve come here a couple times with car troubles and the service is absolutely phenomenal. As a young woman, I ve had mechanics talk down to me and overcharge me, but these guys are so kind and helpful.

Went there for a simple Inspection, when I got my car back I noticed they snapped my front driver side lug nut completely off and didn t even tell me about it and when I said something they took no responsibility. Dishonest and rude go somewhere else!

I dont usually speak up unless service was totally unacceptable. I made an online appointment at 1030am on a Friday for a simple wheel alignment and a re-center of the steering wheel since it was askew. I was greeted fine, let the gentleman know I was going to wait for the service. After an hour, my car had not gone in. I inquired about it he said that only 1 mechanic had come to work and they were running behind but it would go in soon. I realized then that making an online appointment only puts you in line, they dont honor online appointments, just phone calls. So after another hour, car still had not gone in so I told him I would get an UBER and come back later. Finally around 7pm, 8.5 hours later, I get a call saying it was ready, but the station closes at 7pm as well. So I have to leave the car overnight and pick up in the morning, after another UBER ride and cost. Upon picking the vehicle up and leaving I noticed that they did not even do the recenter of the steering wheel. It is unacceptable for a mere wheel alignment to go through this hassle. And they didnt even do the work I asked for. I will not be going back.

Brought my sister there For a Tire swap to get existing tire off and Put Brand new Spare on!, They scraped her Inspection stocker off without Discussing it with her Gave her An Estimate of $1500.00 for Brakes Rotors and 4 new tires She Just Had Brakes done And Has 4 Good tires Next time You guys want to RIP OFF A WOMAN ; Better understand They Have Brothers,& Husbands who Are Mechanically inclined and some who are Technicians Theirselves ! Unbelievable

I made an appointment. Then arrived before the time. The then said just leave the car well get to it . I was on a schedule, and didnt have a rode bc they said it would be done in an hour on the phone. When there, they kept saying we have all bays full. But I made an appointment. Arg. They ended up getting it done after I called my husband to come rescue me...

This is the only place I go with any of my cars.

Jeff and his crew are the best. Theyve fixed everything from a tire patch to steering rebuild for the fam. They also will tell you if you should bring it to the dealer or a specialist.
