I absolutely love this place!!! The staff are amazing. They sell animals but they also care deeply about all the animals they sell. They are knowledgeable as well. Returns are easy to do too. I purchased 3 hairless guinea pigs from them and one passed away within a week. It happens sometimes with a new litter. They returned my money and buried him for me, it was such a hard time losing my baby guinea pig but the comfort I received is why I will never shop anywhere else... Its local and it is definitely a great place to go to. I purchase all my animal supplies for the indoor and outdoor animals as well as flowers for the yard... They even have paint!

This is more than a place to get your hardware needs. Its truly an experience! If you want that hometown feel, people that help you, and experienced something thats not like the box stores; you have to check this place out. Staff is very helpful, they have quite a selection, and the prices are competitive. Its worth a visit if youve never been there.

Great selection and friendly staff. My wife had a basket of stuff and a hundred dollar bill in her hand. It came to $104. When she went for her wallet she was told dont worry about the 4 bucks. That never happens at Ace

The best little Country Store around. Knowledgeable, courteous, and not afraid to save you a buck. Many a times Ryan had saved me from buying the wrong item. Redirected me. And it cost me half the price of my mistake. Thank you EVERYONE at Mechanicville Country Living Center.

Nothing beats the small bussiness helpfulness!!! The possability of finding someone who truly knows what you need is maybe 2 out of 10 attempts in those larger stores. EVERYTIME i turn to this Ace store, someone ALWAYS knows where to guide me! Todays information was priceless in helping me finding a furnace part. Thank you for such exceptional customer service!!!

9 times out of 10 when I had problem to resolve and wasnt sure how to fix it, I had the solution when I walked out! The one time they couldnt help me was when I was trying to locate an obscure Japanese made screwdriver for Y slotted screws! Always my go to for advice on how to approach anything I am struggling to fix! Customer service here is the best I have experienced anywhere!

Cant express enough how wonderful the staff is here. Always helpful. Family Oriented. I always make a point to buy here before a big box. Kids love the aquarium and pet selection.

This store is great unless you need things special ordered. They act like its a huge deal to call you and let you know something you need has arrived. I have disabilities that affect my short term memory and processing. It really sucks that they always make ME feel like Im the inconvenience. Short staffed or not, I feel it takes 3 minutes or less to call someone and let them know their product is in.

Country Living is the best!! They carry just about everything and are so helpful. It is so convenient in a town like Mechanicville. Otherwise we would have to drive 15 min each way to a box store and I much prefer to support a local business.

Great place/employees. Got my Xmas tree from there. I also just learned that they sell face chords of wood. Seems dry. Its locked in a large shed.. they also sell animals bunnies ferrets rats ect. Theres a lot of DIY stuff. Like arts and crafts.. its not cheap stuff but its not over the roof in prices. A nice family owned store. definitely worth stopping by...

This store is by far my favorite. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all of your home needs. My days have been saved by staff knowledge on everything from bolts and screws to plant care to salting my way out of the horrible ice storm. Add in that prices are reasonable and they carry a number of local business craft products, this store is irreplaceable in our community.

If your looking for exotic bird food this is the place to go. Since the pandemic started I couldnt find my parrots food. This place has everything. Employees are helpful and amazing.

The store has so many of my pets needs. I can get gardening tools, household repairs items & outdoor seasonal items as well! Staff are always friendly & helpful. Theyre open every day of the week too - which is VERY helpful because theyre just down the road!

This place is perfect for all your small home projects and a lot of the larger ones too. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. More than once they have saved my bacon and made sure a project comes out great instead of a disaster.

This store is amazing. Everytime I go in there they have someone there to help you. The owner can help you find the replacement parts or whatever you need in minutes. All their products are high quality and prices are reasonable. Good variety of rental equipment. Also for locals it saves you that 30 minute trip lowes or HD. Great store!

We got a fresh Christmas tree from here this year and it was my first time getting a real one as an adult with a family. They were so sweet and knowledgeable and didnt try to upsell me or anything like places often do when they know someone doesnt know what they are doing! It was a great tree at a great price and its still doing well a week later! And of course, unbeatable service as always. We love this place so much that when we were talking about moving my boyfriend said he doesnt want to leave Mechanicville because he doesnt want to move away from Country Living!

I went here to get a rabbit a few months ago, it was very unorganized and very unprofessional, I was handed a box and told pick anyone one you want as the gentleman walked away from me that worked there. The bunny s were in a very cluttered space together I feel like that was unsafe for the bunnies we had no instructions on how to close the cage or how to handle a rabbit, the experience overall was disappointing. I called the other day and asked about the bunny I purchased in which he responded with they do not keep logs of the bunnies records which I see as an issue and needs to addressed due to the health and safety of the bunnies as well as the knowledge for the owners
