On Sunday the 2 February my furnice went out collen from bove fuils came and fixed my heat he was so nice he exspain everything he was doing also he told me what happened and why my furnice stopped working he was very professional and outstanding I was very happy with his work I want to say thank you to collen

Bove fuel is the absolute best fuel company to use!!! I called them at 4:00 in the afternoon about a problem with my moms heat and the were there in less than a half hour and fixed the problem immediately. They have never disappointed us yet with anything!!!!!

Very happy with the service, Kevin came out at 6pm on a Friday to repair a broken propane line. They showed up in under an hour after we called them and their price was more thank reasonable. I highly recommend them!

We have used GA Bove for all our propane installations and are very pleased with their servce. Steve has been on last two calls and he is fantastic. My wife loves the way he cleans up work site and is so fanatical in making sure she is happy with installations.

We trusted GA Bove knew how to service our tankless hot water heater when it was having intermittent problems. They came to our house multiple times charging us a service charge each time for the same issue without ever solving the problem. $1000+ later and we had no resolution. If the company does not have experience with the type of unit we have they should be upfront about it rather than charging us and not solving the problem. I have no trust in the company.

Ive been a customer of G.A. Bove & Sons for just about 5 years. As an absentee owner I never worry about heat or propane. They are very responsive and care a lot about the needs of their customers. It is a pleasure working with them!

Bove Fuels has the best prices and they make it very easy to get a delivery. Their website is user-friendly.

Though a little pricey, these guys have been aces with customer service and propane tank service. Last winter at below zero, our regulator froze up. They had a repair tech here within an hour. He was quick, smart, and very polite.

I talked to Michelle at 9:23 this morning. I told her my heat was not working when I had it filled completely in Feb. Came to the conclusion they only filled 130 gallons (the min I usually get) So i was under the impression it was filled all the way and going to last longer. I called back at 9:46 and asked for a same day delivery. Called back around 3:40 and asked when they will be here, and she said her computer malfunctioned and didnt put it through. I can go get 5 gallons and make it through the night and they will be here tomorrow Let me preface this review with another complaint about my oil not being delivered last year. Because they forgot about me and wanted me to wait until tomorrow. Same excuse. So this time i asked for after hours service, which will be an extra $150. That i will not be paying until i reach a manger tomorrow. I don t know if this is a way to make some extra cash, or the receptionist just don t know how to communicate. But their mistake should not leave me and my family without heat for a whole day.

On June 1st we had technicians come out and install central air. Unfortunately I cannot remember their names but they arrived on time, were very courteous and respectful of property. They even found something wrong with our furnace and corrected it. Before they came, the air didnt come out of our vents very well. Now the air really comes out much better. I cannot say enough good things about the people and the company. I would highly recommend them (which I already did to a friend interested in central air). Keep up the good work!

This group is all about the money - they tried tack on another fee to our bill and that was the last straw. Stay away - they ll take your money and take their sweet time scheduling the delivery. Unprofessional!!!

Ive been using GA Bove for 3 years now and they have been nothing but outstanding. Theyve helped me out when my forgetful butt forgot to order propane on time, even when I needed it that very day! The lovely lady, Alison I believe, is always incredibly pleasant and helpful. Its a pleasure to do business with these guys.

My niece from Round Lake is out of oil. They are refusing delivery, because the didn t get a 3 day notice. It is 12 degrees below zero. Small children live at her house.

We are raving about the Bove Service Department.. Ron came quickly and fixed our furnace in a snow storm. Then a system (not furnace) problem and Jake came out, found the problem, needed part. Austin installed the part and serviced the A/C and furnace. Yesterday our A/C failed and Austin came and fixed that.. Bove and these men are GREAT. Guys were efficient, worked hard and fast .. Super nice & friendly. We are well pleased and the price was fair..

I am a renter, back in October of 2019 I started using a different fuel company because their rates were significantly lower and our whole family uses that company. Because we rent, we didn t realize we could not switch fuel companies. We filled our propane tanks from this other company in October, and the beginning of January. We didn t need to fill up much this year because we installed a pellet stove in the fall, so we only had the propane running in the kitchen instead of the whole house. About 2 weeks after we had our propane filled by the other company in January, bove knocked on our door and told us that our neighbors called for a fill up, but they accidentally filled our tanks instead and that we owed them $256. I told them that this was impossible because we had just had our tanks filled, and that their mistake was not my issue regardless because I didn t authorize a fill up. They apologized initially and told us that someone would be in contact with us. I took several pictures of my propane tanks in the following weeks to show that the gauges didn t drop (so they couldn t try to say there was a leak as we ve had several leaks before) and called them several times a month always to be told that someone would look it over and call us back, but they never did. Now it s July, 6 months later, and they are threatening to send our bill to a collection agency. I got told today on the phone that they show they filled the tanks so that s all there is to it, even tho when this first happened they were very apologetic and willing to come to a solution. We ve had our share of problems with them in the past, a few scary propane leaks that were shrugged off and made to be no big deal, yet we ve never complained. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I told them that I m totally willing and able to get a sheet from the other company stating when I got propane delivered, because they believe I m lying about how many times we got propane last winter, but they are uninterested in that information. An admission of guilt on their part would be nice considering it was impossible for them to fill my tanks, but I get the feeling that that won t happen. Steer clear of bove.

I just began propane service with this company. I have been out of propane for 5 days do to credit issues and having my father submit an application. The application was approved and I put a payment in for the system check for the 19th of November. I was scheduled for my tank to be filled today which is Wednesday the forth. After waiting till around five I called and asked what was going on. I was put on hold and a gentleman came on stating that the truck broke down and I would be getting filled up on its way back to hudson falls. It is now 8:40pm. My greenhouse isnt just a hobby it is my business. I cant understand why even a courtesy call was so hard to do. Hey we will be there, and a time would have eased my mind. Now I have called the answering service twice. I will have the on call person call you asap, both times is all I was told. Waited for an hour and a half and still no call from the on call person. Dont have faith in a business that treats people this way. I guess Ill find another company with morals and manners. I have read all the reviews. Not good.

Became a customer March 2020. Called to be filled when I was around 25% and they arrived that same day. No issues and have never run out. Best propane company I have ever had. Very dependable. Great Job!!

Over priced, and purposely spelt our name wrong on a refund check so we couldn t deposit it. They quoted us 3,200 dollars for a new furnace. I went to another company and they quoted us only 1,800 dollars. They charged us 125 dollars to service our furnace which consisted of them to look at it and tell me I need a new one. They didn t even touch it. I will never go with them again. They also tried to take MY tanks. They are mine, not owned by GA bove. A lot of my neighbors buy from them but I ll make sure to recommend someone else.

Ive enjoyed working with Bove Fuels. I gotten to know the drivers; and the staff on the phone is very polite and friendly. Ive worked with other oil companies and had success also, and have found Bove to be tops. I buy fuel for heavy equipment and heating oil. Fuel Quality is very good. Had to talk with one of the upper management due to the volume of fuel, types, etc. He took my call and addressed all my questions. Amanda is the worst customer service supervisor I have ever spoke to was told I had to pay $125 for them to come out and inspect their own tank I asked her why she had two guys out about two and a half weeks prior to actually come take the tank from the landlord but the landlord straightened out the Fiasco the guys we hooked up the tanks that it was good to go I called The Switch the service over into my name not a new tank the switch the name over to my name and I have to pay $125 when I told her I didnt have $125 to pay right away they decided to part ways worst customer service ever rude disrespectful. I would have rather have services from a local own business but not this one

We have always had excellent service at Boves. Never had to worry about running out of gas, well guess what? We ran out last month, called today and told them we were below 10%, oh, well send a truck, WELL guess what? We ran out of gas just as we were starting supper and its 22 degrees out. What is going on? Need someone to find out why this happening, 2 months in a row! Not a happy customer!!

A family customer of 35 years and now we have no propane for cooking or heat. Why? Because we asked Bove to do a service call to check for propane leaks. One was obviously found, because our old leaker was replaced with an even older looking tank. We were not supposed to be charged for it is Boves responsibility to make sure THEIR equipment is working properly and safe for use. Now a month later you want to send us a service bill for 2 tanks and a new regulator. This is original equipment from 35 years ago. Regulator is supposed to be inspected after 15 years. They doubled that inspection time. And now they want to bill us? John Bove later said he would cancel the bill, but we are not allowed to get our tanks back. Thanks alot Bove, their are young children in our home with no heat or means to cook. All because you tried to scam a service bill out of us. And then 3 weeks after the initial bill for service, they changed the invoice to say it was for a propane top off. 2 weeks later, another invoice with no description of service, just saying that we owe $200.05. And you only swapped out one tank and the regulator was just as old if not the same one rebuilt on site.

Paid for my propane in full and I live locally. Still waiting for it to be delivered.

Has supplied my fuel needs for two years with no issues. Kris did an excellent job cleaning my furnance last week. Professional and took his time to do the job right. Great service & staff.

Bove has been servicing my home for a few years. Techs are knowledgeable and drivers are friendly.

I was installing a gas stove and had a gas leak, not in the supply line or connection. Called Bove and the tech ran me through some troubleshooting on the phone. Turns out I have a bad gas valve. He even called me back to see how I was making out. I know who to turn to in the Capital District for service.

Originally I gave these guys a five star, but then I found out they dont refund unused propane like other companies (I was moving). I made sure they picked up an empty tank because I know they would have taken the near full tank and sold it to some other customer so as to double their money profits.

I m very disappointed in Bove.. we have a sensor in our propane tank so they will always be notified when we hit a certain level. Woke up this morning to a cold house and no hot water because my tank was just about empty. My husband called and they said they have been too busy to fill our tank and wouldn t come out to do it. I m sorry but that is absolutely rediculous. We are good paying customers, now I have a cold house that I can t cook in or shower in. Again I m very disappointed and would not recommend this company.

I have recently learned that if you are not on an automatic delivery schedule regardless of who lives in the house (elderly, children, sickly) will get their tank filled after the ones with automatic delivery...even when you pay on Monday...no heat Wednesday so you call ... supposed to be scheduled to come friday... still dont come Saturday...basic basically you will get heat when they feel like it

John Bove senior is one of the most honest and caring business owners my family has known. My family have been customers of Bove Fuel for 50 years (give or take). John senior is old school, back from the days when folks actually cared about each other, when a mans word had more value than a legal contract. John senior personally took the time to get to know most of his customers with the understanding that a friendly smile, a hand shake, hard work and integrity AND sincerely caring about his customers were the perfect ingredients to build his business on. Those attributes were a natural part of John seniors personality. The growth of his business underscores the fact that John senior is a good businessman and a good person. My heart goes out to John senior, instead of watching his lifes work grow with a 5 star customer rating, it must be heart wrenching for him to read extremely negative customer reviews. John senior my heart goes out to you, as a child I remember you speaking with my parents, and I will never forget my last conversation with you as you recounted a conversation that you had with my father that took place over 40 years ago. It must be difficult to accept that your belief in being a good businessman and a good person is now viewed by your customers as a contradiction in terms, that your compassion has been replaced by dispassion, and out right verbal threats issued to your good customers. That your integrity is nothing more than an intentional stubborn unwillingness of your business to stand by its word. John senior I want you to know that I will always remember you, and respect you for your values. They are great - delivery on time and service people are fantastic have used them for 3 propane room heaters, 1 Hot Water tank and some duct work. They are courteous and amazing in their clean up of work area. I really appreciate their diligence to leave the basement or work area just as clean as when they showed up.

I have been a customer for several years. I had an issue with my furnace and had a tech come out, he didnt fix the problem, called again and another tech come out. He said the issue was a bad thermostat and I replaced myself. I received $300 in bills. I called and spoke with a service manager Jim. He said he would look into it and call me back, never did. I called again a few weeks later and left a message, he didnt call back. I ran out of fuel on a 7 degree morning. I called and was told that they did not deliver due to an outstanding balance. I asked to speak to Jim, he could not have been more disrespectful and dismissive of me. I just contracted with a different company and will have my family and anyone else I talk to do the same.

Went here to gas up my car. Just horrible, save yourself the trouble. Their pumps are something straight out of the 1950s that just sit on the sidewalk curb, confusing to use and not to mention they put a 3 day hold of $100! on my bank account on top of the price of gas, leaving me broke for the Holiday and my Birthday!!! Who holds that much money on your account, for so long, were heading into 2017 now, guys! I just have to say its a good thing Im not traveling or Id really be in a mess because of them.

If I could give zero stars I would. Stephanie is the worst customer service representative I have ever spoken to and should not be representing the company. Threatened to have our tanks removed because we called about a discrepancy with the bill. Would not let me speak to a supervisor. Switching gas companies now.

My first experience with Bove fuels went okay. I bought a mobile home that the previous owner was suppose to have the propane filled prior to purchase as part of the deal but didnt and removed her account. It wasnt until I had no heat did I realize that something was wrong. I called Bove because the owners left the tanks and was told they couldnt help me due to not having an account set up and it was the weekend. My house was freezing and I am a single mom with 2 small children. When I finally got the account set up they demanded $600 up front before they came out! Then months later I got a notice on my door that they filled the tanks without my knowledge and there was a $300 charge that luckily heap had paid for me. Now a few days ago I realized I was out of propane, I called and scheduled a fill up. The woman on the phone was nice and I paid the bill over the phone, and when asked when it would be filled she said tomorrow or the next day at the latest. Luckily it is around 50 degrees outside and not the dead of winter but I managed with a freezing cold house for 2 days. By the second day I called and spoke to Charity, she constantly interrupted me when I tried to explain things and rudely asked for my information. I told her that the lady said it would be filled by now, she told me I was on the schedule for tomorrow. I said well I was told by today at the latest, she VERY rudely told me well your scheduled for tomorrow! I hung up on her! When my childrens father dropped them off tonight and realized how cold it was he called Bove for me. He spoke to an after hours man who said he would be willing to come out and fill it but I would have to pay the after hours cost. I already paid $300 why should I have to pay more when you told me it would be filled by today? Absolutely unprofessional, and I will be switching companies soon!

Beware of customer service and removal of the tanks without notice. Practices are questionable and costly. Stay away. There are fuel providers out there with better communication practices.

My experience has been great. They do what they say. Ive used the overnight emergency service, and the guy who you typically work with is a real pro. Theyve helped me out many times.
