I really wish I could give a better review because everything was amazing and staff friendly and got it done within a day. It all came to a abrupt bad ending when i got accused of damaging their shop van I rented when I have a perfect record with no accidents have drove professionally for 10 years and have 3 witnesses who at any giving time were with me when I drove. Their van was already damaged with several dings dents and scratches and ran badly with engine tick/knock and exhaust issues. I knew I should have taken pics and videos beforehand. Oh, and 1 of the so-called scratches pointed out to me literally had some sort of goop like it was a bad attempt of someone trying to cover it up. I really looked forward to becoming a return customer, and this really upsets me.

We had an amazing experience with Dail transmission & Total Car Care. Dail had to deal with replacing our transmission AND dealing with our very complicated, extended warranty company. Dail transmission was very patient, professional, kind and courageous throughout our repair visit. If you need your vehicle repaired we highly recommend Dail. Their customer service is incredible!

UPDATE as of July 2024: I ve been to many mechanics, owned many cars. This is the best shop I ve ever been too. They not only did my transmission a few years ago (running great), they continue to help me with random custom projects on my truck. Isabel is an excellent communicator. They are unbelievably professional. Everything always comes out so good. They are the best in the biz. - Swapped my transmission and did some body work on my car. Amazing company and customer support was top notch.

Excellent experience working with Tiffany. While on a road trip from TX to NY, we needed the transmission replaced on our GMC Silverado with 130k miles. The part was ordered, and work was completed in less than 48 hours. We had plans to tour Patterson and Wallkill during that time. Tiffany arranged for us to borrow the company vehicle so we wouldnt have to modify our schedule. Thanks to Dail, we went on to finish our road trip with no worries. Thank you for caring about people! In November of 2023, I took my 4wd Chevy Tahoe to Dail Transmission for a rebuild of my failed automatic transmission. After checking out all of the local competition, as well as considering replacing the transmission myself with a mail order rebuild, I chose Dail. Why? Because, after speaking with her, I got competent straight answers, which was a breath of fresh air after speaking to some other shops. She could rebuild my transmission and include ALL labor and costs cheaper than just buying a dealer remanufactured transmission. The Chevy dealer wanted me to wait three months because they could not find the labor to do the job.. which is a BIG RED flag. .. After the repair at Dails, , the price was exactly as specified, with no flim flam add on. Since the repair, for months now, my Chevy Tahoes automatic transmission works great. Would I go to her again..? Without question.. not only for transmission work, but also her general car repair service as well. I am not a shill.. I am almost 75 and found a repair service I can respect and trust in Dail Transmission of Middletown Orange County, NY.

This place is amazing! They have Max Care for those who got their cars from Car Max. Everyone was super nice and they even gave me lunch because they had ordered too much pizza that day. I am blown away with the service and I will never go anywhere else ever again! They have amazing customer service and they are so attentive to detail. I love this place and you should definitely go here! I felt like family and explain everything so clearly.

I cannot say enough how happy Im with the service at Dail Transmission. Isabella was amazing to deal with and went to the extra mile for me and my 18 Forester Turbo replacement. She kept me updated and sent me pictures of the process daily. I never once felt left out in the dark in regards to the repairs and any challenges they faced with my car. You cannot ask for a better autoshop. What was extraordinary was that Isabella knew I needed my car as I had been without one for almost 3 weeks. This place was such a find! I would have never thought to look for a local car care place to service my Jag. Just figured I would need to see my dealership and make the trek to NJ. Not the case if I just need a regular maintenance check up or oil etc. Isabel, or really ANYONE at this place is SO incredibly helpful and kind. This is what customer service should look like. I m so happy I found Dail and will continue taking my car here. If you also have a European car, and just need some regular maintenance checks, then save yourself both the trip and money. Call them, and ask, you won t be disappointed if you go - they ll be happy to take you in!

If i could give more than 5 stars i would, such an amazing place!! We went here to get my car looked at because it was making funny noises and it had really good reviews. Let me say this place did not disappoint. That got us in right away and figured out what was wrong with my car in less than 15 minutes. Then told us we could get it fixed the same day it would just take some time. We had something to do in the evening and we let them know. They quickly got to calling their vendors to make sure that they got the part as quickly as they could. They started working on it right away and didn t waste any time. The workers there are nothing but helpful and super sweet. We have an 8 month old and the workers would engage with him and made sure that we were taken care of. The owner definitely knows what she is doing with running this establishment. They also didn t overcharge us or try to steal our money. Very trustworthy and kindhearted people! I will highly recommend this place to anyone who is having car troubles!!

Got my transmission fixed in September ..now in February come to find out they used the wrong sealant and blew my transmission again! Our 7,000 for what? Absolutely ridiculous .

I had a fantastic experience at this repair shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and humble. They possess extensive knowledge and, importantly, I never felt like I was being overcharged. Upon picking up my car, the owner (women owned) showed me the old part and patiently explained what had happened, reassuring me that it was a natural occurrence over time. Initially, I had blamed the previous repair shop. I recommend this repair shop and I will certainly be returning for future services.

I had such a great experience at this location . Coming from Monticello, I was bummed that I had to drive 40 mins to this location but it was well worth it . The moment the manager Isabel turned on my car she was able to give me some comfort. I seen the mechanic briefly who was was very friendly and efficient. I particularly love that Isabel will explain the problem [s] in plain English. After my approval for the work to be done, my 1992 Ford F 150 with 190K miles runs like new. Isabel was fantastic to deal with. They repaired a 2016 Ford transit connect for me. She sent me pictures during the process and assured me that everything would be done properly. I was definitely concerned as it was the first transmission that I had considered rebuilding. Being in the automotive field myself, it is still some thing that it s a little bit nerve-racking. Transmissions are complicated units. All in all it s been a few months and the van is smooth sailing. Five star service. She even had one of the guys drop off the vehicle back to my home. It did take longer than expected, but it was made up in customer service, communication, and honesty. I m happy that I went to Dail transmissions and will use them in the future for any transmission needs.

Contacted this business, requested price for a transmission replacement with my supplied unit. Once the vehicle was dropped off and transmission replaced, the owner contacted me on a Friday afternoon at almost 1600 stating the TCM needs to be programmed and requested I get the software which I already knew what was involved in a transmission replacement. I m disappointed that all newer vehicle require programming and this shop cannot accomplish it without getting an outside vendor in to do it requiring more money at the last minute. The owner took the job without knowing at the last minute and putting me in a bind. The owner has no right taking a job without knowing what s involved and pricing out the completion of the job incorrectly. Do not use this business without doing your homework and ask the right questions first because if you don t you ll get the same experience

By far the best shop Ive been to in years. Ms. Isabella especially made this experience exceptional. I had a busted fuel line that turned out to be because of a really bad fuel pump. I live a half hour from the shop and needed to have someone follow me. She offered to get me a ride if I lived close enough. I was kept up to date every step of the repair. Only took a few days (because of the warranty company). The work is exceptional, and the service was top notch. I will definitely be using this shop in the future. 10 out of 10 recommended.

Great communication, follow up and service. I have an unusual, if not rare, vehicle and was skeptical about investing in a transmission when it gave out -- versus just moving on. She assured me it would be done correctly if I invested and so far, so outstanding. As good as new. 5 Stars!

Dail (the Company) installed a rebuilt transmission in my SUV. After the install I was asked to return the vehicle for inspection whereupon I pointed-out that there was a noise that had developed. The Company told me that the noise was from the engine and that a rebuilt engine could be installed for more than seven-thousand ($7,000.00) dollars. I sought a second opinion from the mechanic I customarily use (my Regular Mechanic) who diagnosed the noise as coming from the transfer case and not the engine. I took the vehicle back to the Company and it diagnosed the problem as a cracked flywheel. I next paid for the Company to replace the flywheel. My Regular Mechanic inspected the work and explained that the install job was performed in a sloppy manner (wiring harness not installed correctly, bolt missing or not torqued correctly, plastic part melting due to rubbing). I paid my regular mechanic to fix what the Company had done and sought reimbursement from the Company. The Company reimbursed a small fraction of that bill (concerning the flywheel) explaining that they were not responsible for part of the work my Regular Mechanic felt had to be done. This entire process was expensive to me individually in more ways than I have room to explain here. My experience with the Company was not good.

Isabell was honest and fair, she evaluated the car and confirmed that the ABS actuator needed to be replaced. She gave a great price to complete the repair and we chose to also replace the brakes and rotor since the car was in for service. Paul is back!!! So happy to see some familiar faces in the shop.
