I normally take my cars to the dealership but I always felt ripped off after leaving there. No matter what I brought my car in for, the dealership would always find something extra. Especially the LEXUS dealership. I happened to stumble across Pepes one day and I started using them for one of my cars. They were excellent! I used them a few more times with just the one car and they consistently gave me nothing but quality service. I now use them for both of my cars and my wifes car. They are honest and fair and dont try to give you extra services that you dont need or want. I have never had to take my car back for the same issue. If you are tired of getting ripped off by your dealer, give Pepes a chance. You wont be disappointed. Update 10/8/2024 Pepes remains a quality auto repair shop. They do quality work and are very reasonably priced. You wont go wrong bringing your vehicle to Pepes. Maria the receptionist is always smiling and very helpful. I have never seen her upset. My check engine line came on 3 times this year January,july and august for 3 different things. My canister purge valve, my vent valve and my oxygen sensor. I will be honest with you I Dont know too much about cars. So I would buy the parts needed and Pipes auto repair team would put in it for me. Every time I went to Pepe auto repair they always helped me out and was honest with me every time. Whether got the wrong part or if its going to be busy. I took my classic car for service and wasted my time. Not even a simple engine oil and filter change they did for me (and I provided the filter). They took the car in and had me wait around for hours. Once I decided to leave the location and let them work on the car on their own time, they call to say couldnt do the work on the car because the parts I purchase (carburator) were not compatible, after saying it was earlier. And if I wanted to get the existing part rebuild/fix, they had no place to accomadate my antique car from staying outside exposed to weather and unsecured. Despite all the garages they have to keep any car secured. I felt unwelcomed and dont recommend this place to bring your antique car. They had no care for me as a client under a specific situation. Not even Healy Ford has ever done this to me despite how extremely busy they are. Im very dissapointed in their lack of consideration and common sense that my car could not stay over night outside. Will never got there again.

I cant speak highly enough of the service that was rendered at Pepes. To start, my vehicle was previously maintained at a local dealership, who charged an enormous amount of money for minor repairs. At a certain point, the check engine light on the dash illuminated due to the exhaust system. When quoted at the dealership, the price for the repair was far beyond anything reasonable. After venting to a few family members and friends they suggested I check out Pepes and Im truly glad they did. The prices at Pepes were economical and the speed of the repairs is second to none. Its nice to know there are still honest mechanics out there that truly believe in putting the customer first.

I have been going here for years. Never had a bad experience. I had an exhaust problem and was taking it in on a Tues. But the Friday before I lost my brakes with no warning! I work by Pepes and was 50 feet from there. Coasted into the parking lot. Pepe only started it and knew I had a brake fluid leak. A true auto Dr.! I got everything fixed. It was quick and half the price of what I thought it would be!! I cant say enough about Marie. She kept me informed every step of the way. She doesnt just work in the office. She knows her stuff!!

I took my car to a big-name repair shop. I was charged $150 for an estimate, and told the cost of repair would be an additional minimum of $1800. I went to Pepe for a second opinion. Fit me in right away. No charge for the estimate. Was told it was a different part that needed repair, and the cost of repair would only be about $500. On top of this, Pepe told me that whereas the first place had recommended steering wheel fluid, my car, with electronic steering, does not even use steering wheel fluid. So, for about 1/4 the cost of the first place, Pepe gave me honest, professional, prompt, cost-effective service. Very disappointed that I picked up my car from an oil change ans found a ton of surprises. Not only was there Wendys garbage all over the place, there was Frosty spilled all over my belongings and Twixcandy wrappers. I took a photo of my odometer and gas as soon as I parked to drop it off. 92 extra miles. Half tank now empty! Pepe tried his best to tell me the mileage was necessary and denied the mess and chocolate all over my stuff...until I found a receipt as evidence. Very unprofessional and unacceptable! Never again!!!

Good work at a fair price. The mechanics are experts at what they do. I have tried other shops but I dont have the same level of trust in other places. You can just tell that these are great people! I was surprised at a single one-star review until I read the response from the garage. The customer was angry that the car was driven 92 miles. Look, once you have a check engine light and it is fixed that code could stay in your cars computer for up to a hundred miles or even more before the inspection computer will give it a clean bill of health and you can get your sticker. If you dont know that you may think that the shop took your car on a joy ride. They have to get the computer to do a full recycle. The fact that the shop did not charge this complaining customer, tells me that they went out of their way to make her happy. How could you give the shop one star after that? People need to be more understanding.

I am from NH and was stranded here in NY because my car had alot of damage after I slid on some black ice, I had no way to get home, these peole are so kind and caring they even put me and my daughter up for a night in a hotel nearby and drove us there and back the next day, I will never forget what they did for me and my daughter and I highly recommend them for all your cars needs, please go see them they are the best!!!
