I was running out of options for auto shops around middletown. I actually thought Aamco was just transmissions until I decided to look them up and because my gears were not shifting it had to be transmission. We got the car and met with Angel and he was very professional and courteous. They are very patient when you start servicing yor car here. This is the first time I had to get one of my cars repaired from breaking down on me. Asudden expense. But AAmco was very patient didnt get upset because we didnt get the car fixed on the same day they sent us the work order. They have a system where they send you the detailed work order by text and hit approve the order to be done. There were no hidden surprises and they only fixed what the problem was didnt try to upscale. I will be taking my car to get to serviced here again. I would recommend. And the price was reasonable. Me and my husband was surprised, because it had to do with the transmission line. Thank you for the great great work.

I brought my car to amoco for spark plugs and transmission fluid not even 30 days later I had to take my car for repair and that mechanic stated my spark plugs were warped meaning never changed. I have pictures from the other mechanic showing the spark plugs were not changed. The trust for this shop is a 1 , was this done because Im a women. For anyone that visits this shop beware.

My wife was here in early November to get spark plugs fixed as well as transmission fluid 3 weeks later her car died on her on the highway coming home from work sent it to a mechanic in Middletown just to find out that the spark plugs that were put in were not new which cause the engine to blow. We had the mechanic that the car was towed to check everything only to find out that the spark plugs were warped. My wife now has no vehicle due to the lies that were told to by the shop. Beware do not take your car here , when she tried to get them to rectify the situation they gave excuses, I was unfortunately not available to go with her to have them remedy the situation. BAD SERVICE

Not a fan of how things are explained or the lack of explanation If you have to raise your voice to make a point most times the point is mute . Also not a fan of people forcing other things on you if Im here for one thing your aggressiveness wont make me buy the Seven things your pushing on me like I have to before even seeing my car lost any shot of my business also the estimate was 3x everyone else in town.... hopefully it works out for the rest of you who bought it or try them

I have used this Aamco shop multiple times. I had an oil change this past Monday and had the pleasure of meeting their newest employee~ Letty. She was very nice, personable and made waiting enjoyable. Unfortunately, they did not have the filter needed for my car. No worries Louie jumped Right on the phone, ordered the filter and I was still in and out in under an hour. This is an honest shop with a great crew and very reasonably priced. I will continue bringing my car to get serviced here, since they give such stellar service.

Louie was great. I went in for transmission fluid service and he told me exactly what my truck needed. Didnt try to charge me for unnecessary things. This was my first time here and I will be back. Very pleasant workers and excellent service.

Honest service - I brought my car in for a transmission purge. When it became clear that such service would not take care of my car s issue, they didn t perform the service. Instead, they advised me of what would be best for my car and how to go about it. They were very honest and didn t take advantage of the situation. They could have very easily performed the service I asked for, charged me and sent me on my way. Their honesty is greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend bringing your vehicle to them. So nice to see there are shops who really are concerned about their customers and not just the money.

If youre looking for good, honest mechanics, then youve found the right place. Ive been taking my cars there for 20 years. I dont trust anyone else with my cars except these guys. Brian and Luis give you great prices and an honest assessment of your cars issue. Just an update on my experience at Aamco. Yesterday coming home from work, a mere 15 minutes away, when my car started making a horrible sound. I called up and they took my car right away. I got my car back the next day and the price was so reasonable. My husband and I are faithful clients.

Scumbags broke my clutch after never asking them to touch the clutch, brought my car in to get the transmission serviced, drove the car there by the way, they never touched the transmission, instead they messed with my slave cylinder now clutch doesnt work and so they dont have to fix it they say they did it proper you just have to press the clutch twice, funny ive never needed to do that ever before, they take no responsibility for breaking your vehicle and will do absolutely nothing to make it right, dont bring your car to these dollar store mechanics

First I want to say thank you for taking such great care of us! We are new to the area meaning NY, our truck engine/oil pressure switch lights came on & we had no idea where to go. I am so glad we found AAMCO, they got us right in, got the part in asap, & had it all done by afternoon. They were funny, honest & great at explaining what was wrong. These guys welded my mufflers back on, mounted new tires and rims and balanced them for me, and the list goes on. Louie and Manny are wonderful! Had my car towed there this morning, completely dead, not making any sound at all. They had it diagnosed and fixed by noon, realizing it was only an electrical issue with my seatbelt that had drained the battery. 5 stars all day!

This place is a joke! I took my VW there because my engine light was on and the computer codes I got at AutoZone said I had transmission solenoid failure. After AAMCO did their own diagnostic and got the same codes they advised me to scrap my car. This was after they didnt lift one finger to see if they could fix it. They said it would cost me thousands just to go inside and find out what wrong and then thousands more to fix it. I just wish they would have said that they were incompetent and sent me on my way to a mechanic that could do the job. As was,, based on their expert advice I left in my car thinking that was it for Ole Blue. Because it still drove well (with the exception of being in limp mode, because of the light) I decided to try one more place before I gave up hope. I went to one of their competitors in Middletown that was highly rated (Dail Transmission & Total Car Care). They completely fixed everything that was wrong in my car for around $1400. This included replacing all 5 solenoids, a wiring.harness and filling transmission oil. While they were in there I they also gave me the option of replacing 2 other solenoids that were still good but old. I gave them the ok, which made my grand total $1700. Their service came with a 12 month/ 12,000 warranty on all the electrical work. So the bottom line is....it doesnt look like Ill be donating my car to Cars for Kids anytime soon. Thanks AAMCO for absolutely NOTHING but terrible advice! Maybe you should change the name of your company to LAMECO.

I have a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country that needed a thorough transmission check. This is the only place around with the equipment to do the job right. Im so glad we were referred to them, as they were incredibly thorough with the entire vehicle. Not only that, but Louis and Maynor are just wonderful people. Louis actually drove over 30 minutes to my house to pick me up when the van was ready to go. That kind of service is above and beyond; hard to come by these days. Honesty and friendliness are hard words to use nowadays, but it is true about this AAMCO location, and specifically Luis and Maynor. My dad used to use same location because he trusted them, and now he has passed over a decade ago, it is true today. I didn t know they provided full automotive service. I came up from New Jersey and had my mom s oil change done here, and assessed some trams and other problems which they gave an honest approach as she could not afford fixing everything. This will be my go to place to get my moms car work done as needed, in fact will be back in 2 weeks.
