Thank you Mike for amazing service. Arrived after 3pm on a holiday with a headlight out. It was a special high voltage bulb that they didn’t have at the shop. They got the bulb for us from a store and installed it on the spot. So kind and professional.
Incredible service! My wife was on the road (w/ baby daughter) when a piece of our car got loose. She stopped at Jim's mechanic and they assisted her right away right before closing on a Friday night. Mike was extremely kind and helpful!THANK YOU!
Quick and reasonable I was in town for business and needed an oil change and had some spare time. I called and they got me in in about an hour. Great guys! They were quick and did my inspection too. Very reasonable price.
We had an appt elsewhere to get new tires on. Appt was canceled. Stopped at 9 places. Jim was like sure, come in! He was the only one who said yes. At 10 am on a Wednesday. . Napa took an hour and a half to deliver a stud and Jim kept on em to find out what the hold up was. Love his humor and the way he speaks. The kids in the shop were so polite and jumped right on it. Jim was up front with pricing. And the prices were so fair.

They are very helpful bunch of guys weve lived up here less than 2 years I live off of Wood Avenue I first went to the place on Park Avenue and Broadway they are not helpful we tried Jims automotive I recommend them highly just need an inspection on the sons truck . a couple months ago on my wifes truck very helpful they seem to be very popular in the area around here I would definitely recommend them my wife and I retired came up and we bought a house we both retired and I have extensive back pain and nerve pain. I worked in the automotive field for almost 30 years was part owner of a auto parts store also could do repairs on the side there are a lot of Thieves out there but I recommend these guys. Any work I need in the future I will go there

Jim himself is great very high priced and his employees are very rude and if it requires elbow grease they opt out of doing the work I had a stripped lug nut and they would. Not change my tires cause of one stripped lug nut very disappointing

Jim was incredibly helpful when myself and a friend were stranded on a road trip with a dead alternator. Not only did he get his employees to work on the vehicle immediately, but when we realized we needed to rush to a rental place (we were running late for a wedding) he offered to store our car over the weekend, then he himself drove us to the rental agency to save us cab fare. We were having a pretty horrible afternoon, and he was so helpful. Im also pretty sure he checked out the rest of the car, without being asked, just to make sure that we were safe to get back on the road on our return trip. Had a flat tire. They wouldn t put a spare on a rim. They would only put a tire on a rim if I purchased it from them. We re not helpful.

Could not do much for me, but it has good references.
Went to get tires put on and they did 3 overcharged me and then I had to go to a different mechanic to fully put my tires on and balance my car. If they can get away with tampering with your vehicle for you to return, they will. Please be careful going there

One of the pulleys and belt on my engine seized while driving on 17, I stopped at this shop and they brought my car in and got the parts ordered and fixed ASAP, Highly satisfied with the quick and helpful service

The owner is extremely nice. The mechanic took the time to bring me in and show me the issues on my car. Brought my car back the next morning to have the work done, got it back by the afternoon. I will be going back in the future.
Jim s Automotive is an awesome garage. Our Land Cruiser broke down late last night on the way home from a road trip. After three locals telling me to check Jim s out, I called them first thing in the morning and they fit me in right away. Got us back on the road very quickly, they were super informative about the problem, honest, and nice.
Best place to go! Staff does thier job take thier time talks to you but Jimmy is awesome!.

Good workers gas or prices!
$1800 he charged me to fix my truck and he did not fix it. I tipped him twenty dollars on top of it. I brought it back twice. The second time I gave him a ten dollar tip(excited to have my truck back). Only for it not to be fixed. I never saw my truck in the shop,always on the outside. I dont think he even worked on it. Dishonest
I was traveling through the area on Rt.17 late one night, when the radiator went on my car and I was forced to stop and spend the night in Monticello. The next morning I started to call around to find a shop that could install a new radiator, and several individuals recommended Jims shop. (Pretty rare for local competition to speak so highly of someone.) Id checked online and found out the range for a new radiator and labor was between $340 and 430 for the area. Jim and his techs. got me back on the road by the middle of the afternoon with everything looking and running great, and my bill was a perfectly reasonable $338 (parts, labor, & tax). In sum, my expectations were EXCEEDED(!!), and thats a rare thing.
