I had a great experience, my transmission went on my 2016 tahoe back in November. I called multiple places and even the dealer , the prices were extremely high. I called here and spoke with Dennis , he gave me a quote of what it would cost, and offered to pick up my car. I received my car back in the time it was promised. There was no additional cost, they offer a warranty on the transmission, and now 5 months later the car is still driving great with no problems. I highly recommend this place for transmission work.

I have a 12 year old, all wheel drive SUV with 125K miles and the transmission went. Dealer wanted $7K to fix it. The car isnt worth much more than that. My mechanic suggested Transmission Technicians, but I was leery. Honest businesses can be hard to find in this industry. Dennis was my point of contact and took care of everything, from towing my vehicle on a flatbed from the dealer to his shop, to updating me as we went along. All of our contact was over the phone. Didnt meet him face to face until I picked up the vehicle, and didnt have to leave a deposit or credit card number. The price was exactly what we agreed upon from the very beginning, they got the work done a couple of days sooner than expected, and they provided a 2 year warranty in writing. These guys were great from start to finish.

Absolute honest.. I brought my car in because I was told that the trouble I was having was in my transmission.The owner and his team looked at it and found nothing wrong with my transmission at all..and didnt even charge me for looking at it.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!! I took the day off from work and made arrangements to have my car delivered to this shop only to pick it up a few days later with the same issue. I had a simple repair that needed to be carried out instead i get an estimate of a complete rebuild job at a price of $4,500!! I guess this is how it goes when you are dealing with the best in L I . First I should say, my transmission job isnt completed. However, I met the front desk, the technicians, the owner, and previous original owner while I was there. I wouldnt bring any car anywhere else in the country, based just on that. (Im an experienced car guy) Super friendly, knowledgeable, clean shop and ducks in a row. Ill re-review/update when the job is completed, but I highly doubt I will be anything other than super satisfied. My vehicle, 1996 Chevy suburban k1500.

Brought in my 2015 Ford Edge which had only 20k miles on it but had transmission issues. They diagnosed it fast and repaired it in 10 days, I was going to go price shopping but they were reasonable and highly recommended by many people that I spoke to. Afterwords I had minor issue the check engine light came on and it turns out one of the vacuum hoses was not completely on near the air filter and they corrected that immediately and the car has been perfect ever since. Definitely recommend!! A++++

They rebuilt the transmission in my F150 they were great and when I had a problem a few months later I went in on a Friday they looked at right away. They said I could leave it or drive locally and bring it in on Monday. I dropped it off on Monday had it back on Tuesday as good as new!!

My experience was terrific as it always has been in the past. I had my transmission rebuilt over a year ago and i havent had any issues with it its been excellent. Just recently though I did have a slight leak from the seal the yoke needed to be changed it wasnt initially changed and I was informed that it may have to be in the future. Even though I do have a warranty Dennis went above and beyond and I wasnt charged for the repair which also included a couple of other things. Transmission Technicians is a neighborhood business in my area. They have been in business for quite a number of years and have been nominated for Best of L.I. several times. We had work performed at this location on my daughters Honda CRV. In my opinion, their customer service is second to none and even exceeded all my expectations. We had a remanufactured transmission shipped from a factory in California that only specializes in Honda and Acura transmissions. The CRV drives like a new car again. I had an excellent experience with Transmission Technicians. My car axle broke and was stuck in the front differential. It needed a transmission specialist for repairs. I didn t know of any and found TT after searching best transmission shop in Nassau county . The reviews were excellent and I can see why. When I called they were polite, professional and accommodating. A real family run shop that has stood the test of time. I was very happy and felt lucky to have stumbled on to such a nice group of people. The car is running great and the work is guaranteed. I got new tires on their recommendation and have been trouble free since the repairs. All in all an excellent experience and I highly recommend Transmission Technicians.

I went to this mechanic to get a price on a transmission replacement job and got a disrespectful remark due to a question about a price. I currently own a business myself and know that I would never treat my customer any differently because of a simple question. I never disrespected this man at all, nor did I say I wasn t going to have the job done. Anyone else who would like to try this shop should go there knowing that there is no questions able to be asked because he will tell you to turn around and not want to do the job. No respect here at all.

Spoke to a guy named denis that came highly recommended by my Mechanic. Long story short he was very arrogant I had a lot of questions about my transmission repair being that I m a younger guy and it was my first time ever dealing with a transmission issue. He gave me a price to rebuild my transmission and I simply asked him if he can give me a slightly better price if I paid in cash.After I said that he threw my van keys on the counter and said that s what it is take it or leave it in a very aggressive tone of voice. And his excuse for talking to me like this was that I was being difficult . I m not sure how this guy is in business and I really don t care but when you speak to somebody who has no idea about transmissions in a way like this he should really be ashamed of himself not a class act at all would never go back there I would never recommend them if I could give zero stars I would.

Id definitely recommend Transmission Technicians, I originally had my X5 truck at BMW and realized BMW wasnt focused on the main/underlying issue and after doing careful and extensive research I came across MINHS and the mechanics knew what they are doing there and figured out I had a transmission issue. Transmission Technicians picked up my lifeless truck, carried it to their facility where they performed great surgery on my transmission. Ive met the owner Dave and the main guy Dennis who took me through the procedure process step by step when my truck was admitted. You have to actually get the service they provide to fully understand, me giving 5 stars and me explaining doesnt do enough Justice. After they picked up my truck BMW X5 with the tow truck/ambulance they informed me it was on premises and I received my truck back like Dennis told me from the beginning within 2 weeks. I am completely satisfied with their service although its deep in long island traveling from Brooklyn was well worth it.

Rating them 0 is not bad enough! Went there 3 weeks ago bc my car was was not going into gear, instead was going into neutral and jolting. Brought my car in to Dennis over night, calls me next day, tells me I needed new transmission, $3000! Told him I was going for second opinion, well guess what, turns out I needed 2 quarts fluid. My car has been great since then...mind you I only have 62000 miles on it. If you wanta honest mechanic go to Tommy at Pequa auto repair. Him and Joe are a blessing!! By the way dont be fooled by his 5 star rating, probably his family or friends!!!

Ive got a 1999 Mustang GT with a Tremec T56 swap in it. The first shop that did the swap actually gave me a faulty transmission. Just about everything was wrong with it. It had a very heavy clutch, it whined, and it did not change gear smoothly. Jimmy at T and V automotive in RVC recommended Transmission technicians to me. Transmission Technicians did a complete transmission replacement with a rebuilt T56. The work was solid and I have not had any issues with my transmission since (~800 miles) It wasnt cheap but hey, you go and try to rebuild a transmission yourself and see how that goes.

Can t say enough about transmission Tech. I brought my car to a transmission specialist shop who spent an hour and a half inspecting the transmission, and told me I needed 2000 worth of repairs. Transmission tech spent 20 minutes, added fluid and fixed a minor leak. The Jeep is running great and it cost $250. Thank you for your honesty and quality work.

If you re looking for anything related to your transmission..... Do yourself a favor and not look anywhere else! I went to a well known Transmission shop and had a terrible experience. I had an idea what has to be done with my car but of course, they have something else in their minds. They want to replace and fix things I don t even need. It would have been a very expensive repair if I went with them. I was already considering selling my car after they told me how much it s going to cost. After searching on the net, I found Tech Transmission who looked at it in the morning and pointed out exactly what I expected by 1:30pm. The car was ready by 4pm for under $350. They were prompt, honest, friendly, fair and the staff are respectful! Walter, Amanda and Dennis were outstanding.

FANTASTIC SERVICE! Damaged my torque converter after doing a drain&fill on my 2013 X3msport. They took the car right in and had it back to me ahead of schedule. Everyone goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction! So far rebuild has been performing as expected, no slips, shudders, or noises besides a small grounding issue. 10/10 would recommend!

They did not fix my car the first time, kept it for 3 days , gave it back on Friday, after I paid for the work that wasnt done, and on Tuesday I had the same problem. They took the car again telling me it was the bearings they sent were bad and they kept it until Friday finally fixing it, to give me a used part, when it should have been new with no warranty on the part. The car still did not drive correctly, the check engine light started coming on after that 2 xs i had to take it somewhere else. After the second time and all the money I spent, I ended up trading it in for a new car. Ill never suggest this place to anyone. Now Im happy feel safe.

I was under the impression that the transmission in my BMW needs to be replaced/rebuilt, was even told so by another shop. I was then recommended Transmission Technicians, Dennis figured out the problems and got my car fixed and returned to me over a weekend for only $920. If I ever deal with any transmission issues, Im heading here first.

I had a total breakdown of my transmision. I own an all wheel drive bmw so I knew it would be complicated and expensive. They have done a full rebuild with a warranty. I have been in a jam with the recent events that have affected everyeone in the World and more so New York and the tri-state so its been difficult to come up with payment but Dennis has be very understanding and has been working with me. I will have my car in a week and wanted to thank Dennis for being so understanding during this current climate!!

I was traveling to long island to visit my family for the holidays. My clutch went out 2 miles from my sisters house. I was given transmission technicians name from my nieces husband. Where others couldnt do it because of the holidays. They got me in faster and did a great job! So I could head back home to North Carolina. I just cant thank them enough! They did a wonderful job and charged me a fair amount. I strongly recommend them!

Terrible experience...Brought in my 2012 Ford E-350 truck because tranny was slipping and they told me truck needed a new transmission fluid temperature sensor. Repair was $430 and following day had same exact problems before repair. They told me to bring it back and all they did was clear some trouble codes and was told by Dennis that if problem persisted to bring it back and then he would have his electrical guy look at it. Of course clearing the codes did absolutely nothing so I told him I needed to bring it back and then he told me after doing some research the truck needed a brand new transmission for $2,895. After telling Dennis it wasn t right that he charged me for a temperature sensor that wasn t needed all he could say was hey we tried . Unbelievable, will never go back here again. CROOKS

Went there with a problem with my 2005 Dodge Magnum not shifting into 4th gear. They checked it out, took it for a test drive, and determined that the only thing wrong with it was that I had the spare tire on the car (hit a pothole on Christmas Eve and bent the rim) and that the cars computer was preventing the higher gear to stop me from driving too fast with the spare on. Awesome friendly and trustworthy!

I wont be going back to them anytime soon but only because I dont expect to need to: 2 year, 24,000 miles warranty will see to that! Thank you and LGM!

I had a leak in my transmission. I found this place on the Internet and was impressed with the good reviews. I was able to drop my car off in the morning and they had it fixed by the afternoon. Although it could have been a major repair, they were able to replace a seal and keep the repair cost low. I found them to be honest and fair. Highly recommend.

I have a 2012 Chevy Suburban. The transmission went while I was driving. Ugh. Car was delivered to Transmission Technicians on Broadway in Massapequa. What a wonderful experience in having my car repaired! Dennis is wonderful, he explained everything that was going to happen from beginning to end of the job! The turnaround time was exactly what he said it would be! Just amazing!! This place is great. . We brought our Trailblazer in Thanksgiving week. They quoted me a price, said they would have it ready the day after Thanksgiving. Denis explained what I needed The price they quoted was the price I paid. The work was done well, and the vehicle was left clean. Its refreshing to deal with people who say they are going to do something, and do it. Their prices were fair and reasonable for the work that was done. They gave me a 2 year warranty on the work as well. I would go back to these guys, and heartily recommend them.

Dennis and Walter were great to work with. Very helpful and I got my car back on time. I would use them again (hopefully I dont have to) and I would recommend them to friends and family.

It is not often you get the chance to review a business for both the work they did and for the work they didnt do. A few years ago we needed a new transmission and Walter and his team at Transmission Technicians did a great job, quality work, with fair pricing. This past weekend, an out of town visitor had some car problems that all pointed to a bad transmission. We brought the car to the experts and they in fact helped us to better diagnose the problem, spoke to our local mechanic for local tune up suggestions, and helped our visitors to NOT have any costly transmission work done. If anyone is looking for an honest, fair, smart evaluation of their cars transmission issues, and quality service when transmission work is required, we would recommend Transmission Technicians without hesitation, and if/when we need such help in the future, we will use them again.

Exceptional Treatment at Transmission Technicians. Went there because my car was acting up..thought my transmission was shot...well after they diagnosed my car it was something completely unrelated..car was finished in a timely manner and everyone there was truly exceptional. Two companies told me my transmission had to be rebuilt ( $2800.00!) but they looked at it and said a sensor was bad. They fixed it and it only cost me a hundred bucks. I would recommend them to anyone...
