Worst service ever! Took the job from my insurance company. Took 2 hrs to reach me then get there and tell me I cant drive behind him because he has another car to pick up. Noone indicated a dbl tow prior to taking the job. He said he had to go to Gaithersburg then drop off at Annapolis. He left a little after 2pm. Upon checking the tracking the driver turned the gps off qnd left the car on towing so it looked like it was still sitting at my house. When i called he acted oblivious and said maybe the app had a glitch. The app didnt have a glitch because hrs later when he was on the route it came back on. So u take my car in 2 different cities and zi have no idea where?!! Absolutely unacceptable bogus service! He didnt reach the shop until after 5pm which they were closing soon and wasted hrs! The shop was 45mins from my house yet the car was dropped off over 3 hrs later! Unacceptable and I will be requesting a refund from my insurance company!!

Unreliable and Unprofessional Towing Service Provider! Their service is requested through my GEICO emergency roadside assistance and waited for 6 hours until I decided to ask my insurance to provide an immediate replacement. They changed their ETA twice and after several follow up calls they told me that they have to respond to a MORE important emergency call - and they cannot gave me another ETA - after waiting for 6 hours. Very disappointing and not recommended!

He got there quickly and was very kind through the whole process. He took me all the way home on ice covered roads and quickly unloaded my car. I will use this company in the future if I ever need a tow. Extremely happy with my experience!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I called GEICO at 7:15 a.m. because I got stuck at the end of my driveway. Valu auto said they would be out in two hours. Never showed. I called back. They then said one hour. They never showed. I called Valu auto myself at that time. The dispatch lady was extremely rude and said probably another two hours. Again, they never showed. I called GEICO again around 12:30. They said 45 minutes. Valu auto never showed. I called GEICO again at 2 p.m. They had to get me another company because again Valu auto told them an hour. I lost a whole day of wages because of this company. If they were that busy they could have said hey, I dont know when we will get to you so I think you should try someone else. Worst company ever. Rude people. Horrible service!

this company should no longer be in business. they don t pick up the phone and will leave you stranded for hours. I m writing this from my car on the side of the highway where i have been for 3.5 hours. If your insurance/credit card offers their services refuse and ask for another company. this has left me in a dangerous position.

TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS GREAT BUT DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU GET PUT ON HOLD AND THEN AFTER 10 MINS. THEY HANG UP ON YOU. TOOK TWO WEEKS TO GET A RECEIPT OUT OF THEM FOR INSURANCE CLAIM.

Disappointing Service and Poor Prioritization with partners. I understand the importance of prioritizing 911 and AAA calls, but its equally critical to honor scheduled vehicle pickups, especially when working with partners like Peddle. My pickup had been arranged weeks in advance, yet the company completely failed to fulfill the commitment. I left home at 3 AM, driving 9 hours to the garage where my inoperable car was stored, thinking I might be late. Instead, I ended up waiting over 6 hours without anyone showing up, despite calling dispatch three times for ETAs or clear answers. While I usually don t mind waiting or rescheduling, this situation left no room for either. I was on my way to a job several states away and couldn t afford to waste that time. If youre going to partner with companies like Peddle, you must manage those commitments properly and treat their customers with respect. If thats not possible, it s better to end such partnerships rather than jeopardize peoples plans and trust.

The car was difficult to find, the GPS sent Donald to the wrong place and my daughter had lost her cell phone the day before. His patience was a blessing and we appreciate him, as other drivers would not have been so kind.

this review is ONLY for Anthony from Western PA, not the (awful) over-the-phone customer service who told me I don t have time for this after they lied about when they d arrive over the course of 5 hours wait time. that being said Anthony was very kind, took care of our immobile vehicle and promptly delivered it to the repair shop. no new damage was cited on the vehicle after delivery, despite the car wheel being dislodged. I hope Anthony doesn t get the brunt of the blame from other customers for the dreadful over-the-phone customer service.

AJ was great. He was professional, kind, and efficient. Even though he had already been to several customers non-stop since he started his shift and still had a queue of people to help, he was careful, did not rush yet got my car loaded, towed to the mechanics location, and safely unloaded in about 30 minutes. Very impressive considering it was night and cold. He kept in touch between customers because he knew people were waiting longer than usual because the night shift is short handed. He was sincerely concerned for how I was doing and that they figure out what is going on with my vehicle. I havent had to be towed very many times and AJ made the actual experience easy.

I would give negative stars if I could lets start with the facts I contacted Matt karpel about towing a fifth wheel camper and if they had equipment to do it he said yes he quoted me a price at 2:30 this afternoon at 3:00 this afternoon I paid their price The female dispatcher told me well told my wife that it would be moved by 4:30 6:30 rolls around my wife calls back down there Kevin Whitman who is now the dispatcher tells her oh the guys theyre hooking up to it which was a lie is the camper sits in his driveway on camera nobody was there so at 8:30 I call Kevin Whitman once again tells me a totally different story oh the guys just busy he cant make it there yet its going to well get it well get it well get it well its still come around 1:30 2:00 and still no camper so I called while I text the dispatcher number and hes just unfortunately were not going to be able to move it no explanation why because they hadnt been there I will post pictures of the screenshots of my conversation with Matt and the one with the dispatcher number

Matt Rhodes was above and beyond exceptionally great with getting us back on the road. He even got down in the water from the rain and kicked my spare tire loose from it being stuck and didnt even complain about having to get wet. Really nice man enjoyed having him as my Roadside assistant

I called USAA, my insurance company for Roadside Assistance for a flat that i couldnt handle. I was lucky that they contacted Val-U Auto in Morristown and they sent Mathew Rhodes to take care of my tire. You would never think that getting a flat tire could be pleasant experience, but it was! From my phone call to USAA, the call from their Dispatch Office, then speaking with Val-U Autos Dispatch Office, and then Matthews call to reconfirm my Roadside needs.. everyone first asked if I was ok and safe, which was nice too... and until I waved Bye to Mathew. This was such a pleasant experience that Ill be asking for Val-U Auto and see if Matthews available when I need a vehicle towed to Morristown. USAA does have an app for this, but I wasnt familiar with it.

He came to town my car after I got in an accident, and was great. He arrived faster than I thought, and it took him no time to get it loaded up and everything even in the rain. A wonderful man, and definitely recommend

My insurance selected Val-U auto to tow my truck when it broke down. Dave did a great job, my truck was not drive able and Dave was able to safely and quickly move it and get it loaded up. I needed a tow a couple days later and I reached out and was able to get it scheduled with no headache. Highly recommend.

I had a flat and couldnt find the key to my locking lugnuts so had to be towed my insurance company sent Val U auto my drivwr was Matthew Rhoades and he did a fantastic job considering he had to come from over an hour away he got there much faster than I expected, offered me a ride, was quick about getting it loaded and called to let me know when he dropped it off at the tire center... Very pleased.

After 5 hours waiting and me finally calling, I was told it was not a location available for pickup. A highway rest stop. Just gross disservice. Stay far away

Driver was super friendly and gave some solid advice on repairs that ultimately got me back on the road without needing to pay a shop to fix my car. I can t say enough good things about Val-U Auto. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free. What really stood out was their attention to detail and customer care. From start to finish between the amazing dispatcher Meredith who wanted to make sure I was in a safe location, to the wonderful driver Casey. They made sure everything was fast but safe for my car. They carefully loaded my car to avoid any further damage. If in need of towing, I highly recommend Val-U Auto. They truly went above and beyond to help me.

My roadside assistance in Eastern TN contracted this service to tow my car in for tire repair. Matthew was professional, on time, and took care of my vehicle as it was his own.

Completely useless company. Called at 6:30 Am for a battery jump. Get an update for arrival 90-160 minutes. Fine. That time passes, get an update of delay for another 40 mins. Happened about 5 times. The company never showed, never contacted me, just left me stranded while sending me delay updates. When trying to express my frustrations to the rep, he told me well you have a pretty shitty attitude and hung up. Keep in mind this is 12hrs later with still no update on the jump or when someone will be there. Called AAA and they were there in 15 minutes. I would never recommend this service again but praise the rescue by AAA, a real road side service that truly cares.

Anthony (AJ) our tow truck driver was so incredibly sweet and responsive. I also called dispatch and talked to a very nice woman, but unfortunately, I didn t get her name. Full disclosure, my car had an issue but thankfully I made it home. Used the State Farm app to put in the request to tow my car to the dealership. Received a text at 11am Val-U Auto would be there in 90-120 minutes. Around 2, we got another update that they would be there in 1 minute. Around 2:30 I called to see what was going on and the nice dispatch lady let me know they had a lot of calls (we had some bad snow yesterday). I did get a variety of times texted me that were not accurate, but as soon as Anthony (AJ) was assigned, he reached out and we communicated via text to keep me up to date on everything. When he got to our house he was so kind and thanked us for our patience. We looked at it that we were so thankful that we were at home and everyone was safe - we were hoping that they prioritized people who were not safe first. Around 9PM, Anthony (AJ) had my car on the flat bed taking it to the dealership. Thank you for all of your help in Pittsburgh!

Always told 1-1.5 hour(s) away but never showed up after over 7 hours. Absolute joke of a company and failure of whatever exists for management.

this isn t a critique of the worker he was very kind and I get that winter is a busy time and they are overworked and they are forced to adhere to company policy but the company sucks. I requested a tow through my insurance company at 2 and the tow didn t come until 7:30, if they were honest about how long it would take time wouldn t have been an issue but they said it would take 30min and then I called after an hour and they said they d be there at 5 and after i called at 5 they said 30 more minutes when it was another 2.5 hrs. I ended up going home but sat in my car for hours assuming they would be there soon. when the tow got there they wouldn t even tow my car because it was in a ditch and winching is an additional service on top of towing and said i had to call my insurance but the department was closed because it was after hours so my car had to sit there overnight. i called the insurance this morning and they said that winching is included in the plan for towing and they should ve just pulled my car and there isn t any specific box on their side for winching specifically even though it is covered because its assumed as part of the plan. so now im waiting for a call back while my car is still stuck on the side of the road almost 24hrs later. I don t recommend this company unless its your only option.

We had a non emergent situation where our car battery was dead (in our garage). Having Good Sam roadside assistance, these guys were referred to us. (They are NY based but out of Bean Station, TN. Excellent response time and friendly customer service. Recommend highly!

I do not recommend this company. They kept making up ETAs and never showed up. The dispatcher Marida (not sure if that s the correct name) was extremely rude and cancelled my order, without my consent. Very unprofessional, I do not recommend to anyone their services.

My son is at college, and 4 hours away from me. He needed some roadside assistance, so I used this service, I am very glad I did! Mathew was very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. He kept me informed on the status, and even provided some advice for my teenage son, on how to prevent such future events! I 100% recommend this business.

Warranty company used this company to tow my truck from my house to the service place few miles down the road, they showed up at 1am I called at 3:30pm that service shop couldn t fix my vehicle so it had to be towed to another shop .i called around noon. Told them the truck is not with me and will not be able to be picked up after 7pm because they ll lock up the key .well it s after 7pm and after many many excuses I now have to wait an additional day for my truck to be towed. Losing a day for the other shop to service my vehicle. Do not recommend!

The customer service was very nice, but I had an appointment set up with a 7-11am window. They missed my entire window and didn t even let me know they were going to be running late. When I called to see how late, they told me it would be several more hours as they were still working on pickups from the pervious day. If you were still making pickups an entire day behind, maybe let your client know you might be running late. I can t recommend you use this place if this is how they do business and how little they value their client s time.

This company is the absolute worse company I have ever dealt with. They came and pulled my daughter out of a snow bank and charged her $443.66 which seems a little obnoxious but it s been close to 2 weeks and they still won t give her a receipt. I have called numerous times myself and they keep saying they are sending it but actually do not send it. Why is it so hard to send a receipt if you are a legitimate business seems more like scammers. Contacting the better business bureau. Also dispatcher Kevin kept putting me on hold and never picked back up and all I want is her receipt, whenever I call back he won t answer but once I blocked my number her answers. I really hope these people that work for this joke of a company go through the same thing they do to everyone else. Scammers at an all time high!!!!

Absolutely terrible. Got an update they were on the way at 8:44am. Called at 10:30, told me 30 minutes. Called again at 12:08, told me 40 minutes. Called again at 1:50 and they told me 40 minutes again. What a waste of time.

originally called at 11am, ETA was 90 minutes so around 12:30, which was fine. 12:30 rolls around and nobody has reached out or showed up. i decide to give them some time as things happen, so 1pm rolls around and i give them a call. i was met with the typical we re short staffed, your driver is enroute and will be there in 15-20 minutes , again still fine i m not in too big a hurry. 2pm is where frustration set in. i decide to call again as i ve been sitting here 3 hours now. i was on hold for around 12 minutes when suddenly the hold music stopped and i heard the phone pick up, only to be placed back and hung up before a word was said. so i call again, face another 10 minutes on hold until finally i get an answer and receive the same run around of he ll be there in 15 minutes so now it s 2:30, and i m still on the side of the road. sitting with enough time and frustration to write an extensive review expressing my deep recommendation to choose another tow company, who actually values not only honesty, but customer safety. best regards to anyone stranded but steer clear of this business.

Unreliable and RUDE!!!

After being in an accident leaving my truck undrivable due to the bumper being pushed against the wheel. My truck was towed and it needed another tow to the auto shop, I was told Val-U towing would get it within an hour and a half... Everyone is closed on weekends so I called Monday to the auto shop to see if it was there and it wasnt. So I had called Val-U and they said they picked it up and had delivered it to the auto shop. Now Im concerned my truck was stolen. However I called the place who towed it from the accident and they told me my truck was still there and that Val-U towing is actually banned from going onto there property due to damages they had caused in the past... Horrific liars who work for his company. From the other reviews Ive read they should be ashamed and just close there doors to let other tow trucks drivers actually work. I wish I could rate lower than 1 star.. Val-U is such a horrific company.

TERRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT USE: These people will make you wait countless hours and give inaccurate estimate wait time. Used Geico roadside assistance. Waited around 6-8 hours for service just for them to not show up. Canceled it and managed to get my vehicle home and fixed up on my own. Don t depend on people that can t make you a priority !!

Scam company, Their technique to keep your vehicle in their possession is to put you on hold for several minutes while on call and then tell you when its already late that the facility is closed and can no longer provide any information (Spoke with Alleah) Telling you false information that they dont have your vehicle, (Spoke with Kevin)

Im clearly far from the only person who has sat on the interstate shoulder for 4 hours and absorbed verbal abuse from these people because they cant manage to provide the basic service they claim to offer. 3 hours ago I politely suggested their timeline wasnt realistic. they cant even be decent humans and apologize about it.

We did not have a negative experience! We were stranded on the road for 2 hours, with no ETA of pick up but in the Catskills you know thats probably headed your way in the middle of nowhere. Took us to a safe place while we waited for someone to pick us up. We had Reuben and he was lovely to deal with. Our vehicle made it back in a prompt amount of time.

Christopher was AWESOME in helping us when we were stranded on the side of 17c in Endwell. He was correct when he said the alternator was not working, the car is running great with the new alternator now! I am so grateful for Nick Feranti at Val-U Auto for getting my car started and towed to the repair shop. Someone from a different company tried to start the car and told me it couldn t move, but Nick had it on within minutes. I hope the owners see this and give him a raise.

This is the worst for locksmith services. The ETAs provided by the customer service is never correct and I had to wait from 8:30 (sat) -12:45am (sun). After rebooking for 8am (sun), they didnt come until 9:45am. PLEASE book at other places! The customer service agent keep delaying the ETA of the locksmith and is very rude. After 2 calls (after waiting for 2.5 hrs), they said the locksmith will call me and the locksmith never did. By 12:40am I had to find a place to stay for the night, so I have wasted 3-4 hrs of just waiting for nothing. I rather they just tell me straight up that the locksmith wont be available until the next morning so I can make appropriate accommodations earlier. This is the worst service experience of my life and I never really write reviews, but I think that you guys should know this so you dont have to go through what I did. Horrible service.

Really poor service, gave ETA of 60 minutes and showed up 4 hrs later with multiple promises of 30 minute arrival in between. Rude customer service as well.

Negative 5 (-5) stars. These people just dont show up. After waiting through the first given ETA it popped up to start all over again with another 2 hours... This was after waiting for over 2 hours already. I canceled the call with this shoddy company and contacted Capital District Towing, which I cannot recommend enough. 10 stars for pretty much everything about them. They gave me a 45 minute window and showed up earlier. Now that is a professional company! Stay as far away from Val-u Auto as you can. Heed the reviews. If you choose to ignore them you too will be left sitting on the side of the road indefinitely. Remember if you have roadside assistance you can usually call your own tow and get reimbursed by your insurance company, you dont need to suffer through this awful company that your insurance company uses (likely because of discounted rates). Just make sure to know how your insurance coverage works before calling your own tow because YMMV.

I had a crisis and this company Really came through for me! The tow truck driver was exceptionally pleasant to work with and they were amazing on timing! Definitely a 10/10 from me! Will be using there services in the future. Thanks guys

These guys are trash. I was driving the speed limit and their driver was tailgating me and flashing his lights the whole time. He eventually passed me and cut me off. This happened in Deansboro on 12B at 8PM on 9/7/24. He followed me onto 315 and thats when he passed me on a double solid. The plate is 1 0 8 3 5 T V (New York Tow Truck). You really need to hire safer drivers... He eventually got stuck behind two other cars and we all met up at the same stop light in Waterville, NY.

Dont bother. This place is a joke. Car sat for 16hrs and never got towed. The Dispatcher, Driver etc.. they are all full of shit anytime you talk to them, Nothing but lies.

Towing our 5th wheel when low tire pressure alarm went off. Called for service and Rob from Val-U was sent to us. Wonderful service and informative. Quickly changed out tire and we were road ready again. Thank you Rob for the great service.

Nobody likes having to call a tow truck however, Sam was able to brighten my mood and was very careful with my car making sure it was straight and nothing would get damaged loading, transporting, and/or unloading. He explained his process from loading, strapping the vehicle down, to unloading. My car being an EV has some difficulties compare to ICE vehicles. He listened to my concerns and to my knowledge. I had an excellent time talking to him, sharing our opinions on different subjects and although I hope to not ever need another tow truck, but if I do, I hope Sam is my driver again! Thanks!

Sat on I 81 for over 4 1/2 hours before I ended up calling another tow company. Every time time I called, I got the run around telling me 20-25 minutes. Learned a valuable lesson about roadside assistance. Get who will get you off the highway the quickest and roadside will reimburse you.

Our car broke down yesterday on a windy steep road in the middle of nowhere. We called AAA. They dispatched Val U towing. Was told we would get a call from them. An hour and a half later no call. We called back to see what was going on was told the ETA was 3:30. Another hour past then 2 I called and ask what was going on. We had a 10 month old with us in 90degree weather. The guy from AAA called them. He said the tow truck broke down and that they Had to fix it before they could come and get us. They were on their way. They be there in 45 minutes cool now it s 5 o clock. Waited another hour nobody still showed up called again and they called to see what was going on and they were like we re so sorry we apologize. Will be there in 45 minutes now 830. Nobody still there on the side of the road a treacherous road mind you and my car is not totally off the road to begin with with an infant for 7 hours. We finally got the name of the tow company called them personally and they were like we re sorry we know you were told 45 minutes but it s gonna be another hour. We finally asked if we could leave because we actually called somebody to pick us up and they said yes just leave the key there they would That was 9 o clock the lady whose car was in the driveway told us that at 11 o clock when she went to bed the car was still sitting there. This is a totally unacceptable thing to leave three people with a infant on the side of the road for eight hours and then leave the car sitting there for 12 hours. AAA needs to stop using this company asap

If your insurance company tells you that Val-U is coming to tow you, quit while you re ahead and ask for a different service provider. I m a reasonable person and I never expect a tow to arrive in less than 1 hour. Not only did I waste almost 1.5-2 hours waiting for them to come get me, their 1 hour eta stayed at 1 hour for 30 mins. When I called dispatch to ask about why they hadn t updated for 30 mins, I got a very rude man who kept putting me on hold at the end of every sentence. He claimed that his company doesn t control the ETA, that it s only through my insurance. (Sure ) He stated that he only had ONE employee in my city and he was on other calls. Then don t take this one? Let someone else take it? After waiting from 6:40 - 8:15, with the ETA fluctuating from 58-60 minutes from 7:40 to 8:15, I finally had my insurance send a different provider. Listen to the bad reviews, they re not wrong.

Had a wonderful experience. From the people I spoke with from the dispatcher to the driver it was pleasant all around. The female dispatcher was very nice and helpful (I did not catch her name) and the driver Jimmy put my mind at ease. After dealing with an accident he came straight to me. Would definitely recommend this company to others.

Rep was very rude to me on the phone my sister has been waiting 4 hours for a tow, she s stuck under a traffic light!

ETA for pick up time was 6:15. Called customer service they told us 45 minutes. 2 hours later still no tow truck. Called customer service again and all we got was attitude and was told they would be there in 25 minutes. Long story short no one picked up our car and we wasted 4 hours of our night. So if thats how the owner speaks to customers I can only imagine his employees.. I will definitely be calling to report them for putting my child and myself in danger.. 1 of my sons goes to Syracuse university and Iam alumni.. so i will ask them to make sure that the college does not recommend them to ANYONE..

Used by our insurance company tonight to come unlock a vehicle, but after waiting four hours for them to show, they never showed and cancelled the order. We had a newborn baby with us, 2 toddler, and an elderly.

Super rude driver. Took 3 hrs to get there, then hopped out with a MAJOR attitude. Literally dropped the car off at the shop we requested, in a mud pit, and left the keys in it. Dude obviously hates his job.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Val-U Auto that I feel compelled to share. Initially, I agreed to a $5,500 charge for a towing service, which is already quite high. However, Val-U Auto went ahead and charged me an additional $220 without any prior notice or explanation. Despite numerous attempts to contact them to discuss these unexpected charges, they consistently failed to return my calls. The lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable, leaving me frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. Please never use these people they are dishonest. If youre considering using Val-U Auto, I strongly advise you to reconsider. Their tendency to overcharge and their complete disregard for customer follow-up makes them a business to avoid. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your auto needs.

Took a while to get picked up, but that was mostly due to AAA I think. The tow truck driver was very friendly and professional, and even let me ride with him to the repair shop. He took good care of my car. I m happy with the service.

I got towed today by valu-auto heavy wrecker operator Rian. He did an excellent job from hooking up the broke down tractor trailer on side of I 81 to backing it up in the truckstop lot . Very professional service. Thank you.
