I actually got to know Patterson auto from my friend. I took my Dodge ram there for an alignment that the dealer could not get right. Patterson auto did the alignment and truck is great. The dealer paid the bill. I also had been hit by another vehicle recently and bumper was damaged & beyond repair. Got three estimates and decided to go with Patterson auto body. Truck is Diamond black. Hard to match. They did a excellent job. Was impressed with the work, as in past I painted cars, and mechanic. Cant do as much as I used to now, but I feel good knowing I have them to do what I cant. AP

Glad I found Patterson Auto. Brought my car in for service basically routine maintenance. They checked it out and let me know exactly what I needed at this point in time. Originally thought I needed brakes but was told my brakes were fine and plenty of life no need to change them. Changed out some fluids and oil. They did everything like it was their own vehicle being serviced. Pricing was fair and reasonable. If you want to take care of your vehicle you cant go wrong by bringing your vehicle to Patterson Auto. Will be doing future maintenance at Patterson Auto.

Everyone at Patterson Auto Body was extremely helpful. 2 hours from home, my husband, my dog and I were suddenly without brakes on our car and pulled into the first station we saw. The staff invited us all, including the dog, to wait inside while they determined the problem. They were able to work on the car right away even though they had many appointments on their calendar and get us back on the road in about 3 hours. I brought my car in for a simple balancing of the tires. My first drive in the highway the car shakes. When I called to state that the job was performed incorrectly, I was told that the speed limit is 55, and they do not balance above that. That could not be more incorrect, the state speed limit is 65. I m not sure about you, but I don t drive 65. Advice, seek repairs from someone else!

I just recently moved back to Patterson, NY after living in Texas (so glad I moved back home!) for over seven years. Needing to establish myself back in the area I called Patterson Auto Shop who I had used before I left for Texas. When I called, they had all previous car records and welcomed me back! I had my car checked over, oil changed, glove compartment fixed and was informed of recommended services. Everyone there treated me so respectfully and pleasantly. Billy was especially personable and knowledgeable. I left feeling relieved and satisfied. Like I had just come home .

This was my first experience with Patterson Auto Body. I got hit by a careless driver while I was stopped at a stop sign and the thought of dealing with the damage to my car while getting care for my injuries was a bit overwhelming, until two friends who had great experiences with Patterson Auto Body recommended that I take my car there. Im so glad I did. Jim Byron, the proprietor of Patterson Auto Body, and front desk manager Michelle, were so friendly and helpful. No one wants to have to have autobody repairs done. But if you have to fix your car, Patterson Autobody is the place to go. They are professional, good communicators, and their work is impeccable. We have needed their services three times (rear-ended on highway, wifes car hit in a parking lot, sons headlight clipped by a deers hoof). All were done smoothly and well. Nothing is cheap when it comes to car repairs, but they did all the work with the insurance company. And for one of the repairs, they got us the loaner car right from their premises. Highly recommend.

Warning: Unreliable Service and Poor Customer Experience at Patterson Auto Body Rating: 1/5 I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Patterson Auto Body the day before Thanksgiving 2023 and feel compelled to share my cautionary tale with potential customers. My visit to this auto body shop for a routine fluid change turned into a nightmare that I never anticipated. During the service, my perfectly running vehicle mysteriously developed additional issues after leaving Patterson Auto Body. To my dismay, I discovered that the mechanic had broken my radiator during a standard fluid change. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, I was charged for the entire radiator replacement without any refund or discount offered for this replacement. Adding insult to injury, Patterson Auto Body failed to provide me with a loaner vehicle during the extended repair period. I had no choice but to rent a vehicle for a week while they addressed the problems they caused. Throughout this ordeal, the owner(s) did not make any attempt to contact me, leaving me in the dark about the status of my vehicle and the repair process. To make matters worse, when I called post holiday to discuss the lack of compensation for the significant repair with the owner, James Byron, he attempted to pass the responsibility to the service manager, who lacked the authority to address the issue. This lack of accountability and communication is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the integrity of Patterson Auto Body. Its disheartening to learn that locals are already aware of the dishonest practices at Patterson Auto Body and their owners. Unfortunately, as a non-local, I had to learn the hard way. I strongly advise anyone seeking auto body services to consider reputable alternatives such as Stans Auto Body, J&J Automotive (Joe is honest) or Twin County Collision, which are highly regarded by locals who value honesty and reliability. In summary, my experience at Patterson Auto Body was marked by incompetence, lack of accountability, and poor customer service. Save yourself the frustration and potential financial loss by choosing a more trustworthy auto body shop in the area.

Everyone was friendly. They knew what they were doing and kept me informed snd clearly let me know what my options were. The waiting area was pleasant and I was able to get work done while I waited. There was even free coffee from a coffee bar while you waited!

NYS Inspections seem to be always scheduled for 8 to ten days. I dont understand why. I worked as an Automotive Technician in Brooklyn, NY for 21 years, and now I work at a shop in Connecticut, I saw appointments and drive ins with no appointments get their State Inspection done immediately. I think that can be improved upon, especially since I live 45 seconds away.

Long story short... estimate of $250 turned out to be a revised estimate of $2000!!! Really. Plus they agreed to call before they went ahead but did not. Admitted it was their mix up but refused to take any money off. Never again. I read your reply to my review and find it wanting. Pretty poor in my mind... it was the rains fault. The car was finished at Stans Auto body for $466. Your estimate to finish the job was many times higher. I stand by my review.

I cannot thank James and his team at Patterson Auto Body enough. Fortunately, I just happened to pull into their shop after getting into an accident just up the road. Throughout the entire process, James advised the best way to proceed and helped the best he could even with all of my extra requests. They are one of few shops still around that will go out of their way to put their customers first and make things right. As for the quality of work, they did not cut any corners and results show it.

No previous experience with Patterson Auto Body but needed body work twice over last 3 years including a major collision that caved in the side of my van requiring to weld in and finish a new side panel and replacement of the van sliding door and glass. Paintwork is superb. In both cases they worked very well with the insurance adjuster and the resulting repairs were absolutely like new!. Highly recommend as the first place to stop for body estimates and collision repair.

Pleasant people with fast service

I took my vehicle to Patterson for a driver side window motor that wasn t working . After speaking with James during my lunch he advised that the window works and he doesn t see anything wrong with it . I then asked him to do an oil change and check the car over since it was due soon for service . At 4 pm I called james who told me that my car needed wheel bearings badly and since it was labor intensive and a big job he would ve have car ready until next day . He gave me a price of $1,000 and said it was his best price . Since I use my car to work and it s my only way around I agreed to the work being started the next day . At 5 ( only 1 hour after speaking with James) I called my brother who works in cars in NJ and told him the issue and the price . My brother flipped and said that it is not even a big job and the parts are maybe 125 each with maybe 1/2 labor . I called back james right away and said I didn t want work done on car I will pick it up now . He then begins to tell me that he started the job and will be done in 10 minutes . I then told him what my brother told me and he just said then what price do you want to pay since I did the job . .... when I got to the garage there was not apologies or explanation for how he came up with that price . Nothing !!!! I only gave him $500 and promise him he would never see me again !! This PLACE is a RIP OFF!! Shame on you !!!!

I went there for an inspection to be done to my vehicle to end up failing for things that were very small. Things that could have been told to me but instead they decide to put in the system purposely. Not to mention me being charged for the inspection even though I failed which I have never had to do before so I found that pretty odd. A friend of mine who went there for years told me that has never happened to him at all and he s had things that could have been reported but was never checked. He and I came up with the same solution. They did this because of my race and they will never have to see me again because I will never do business with a place that promotes bigotry.

I needed to have a tire repaired and an alignment. I also asked them to look the car over since it hasnt been on the road in a while. He called me to tell me that the tires on the car were old and dry rotted and not safe for the road. Gave me prices on different tires from inexpensive to top of tge line. I was glad to purchase tires from them and give a local hardworkimg business my business. While the car was there they noticed that my inspection was over due and took care of it for me I will continue to bring my vehicles back to them as they were very professional, curtious and genuine.

Patterson Auto Body is not just a Body Shop. They are a complete automobile repair shop. The best thing about Patterson Auto Body is that they are HONEST and trustworthy! You can bring your car in for an inspection and not get taken advantage of. This is unlike their competitors further up on Route 22 who sell tires and will take advantage of a uneducated consumer. Patterson auto also sells tires and now they have a convenience store. Honestly, I really have learned through experience to only use Patterson auto for all my Automotive needs.

Just had body and paint repair completed on my car as a near miss with a large tree that caused some dents and scratches. First rate experience in every respect - my 2012 Infiniti G37X looks like new! Special thanks to Michelle for coordinating the entire process for me AND to the team who did such a wonderful job. Hands down the best experience I ve had in the vehicle repair industry! Crashing your car is never fun and the aftermath is usually worse. Picking a body shop, getting a rental car, and hoping the work that gets done makes your baby look like new. I was referred to Patterson Autobody by the service manager at honda who highly recommended using them for the best results. Needless to say it exceeded my expectations, the entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable, especially Michelle (Body Shop Manager) who practically held my hand through the entire process. She took care of insurance once my claim was started and had a rental car waiting. I am very particular about my car and this body work was flawless. The paint match was incredible (pearl white metallic is not easy) and the body seams matched perfectly. It was washed and vacuumed when I picked it up and I couldn t be happier. Glad I found them and would recommend them to anyone.

I got an appointment immediately, communication was excellent, and my brakes were fixed quickly.

Will not return, waited 2.5 hrs for an oil change, to have two tires mounted and 4 balanced and a Nys inspection done when I had an appointment a week ahead of time. On top of that vehicle failed for monitors not ready, was still charged for $21 for inspection, was told when I come back after doing a drive cycle I wouldn t be charged again for inspection. Came back, car passed, was charged $6 for another inspection sticker and $5 for emissions testing. Any place I ve gone to if your car doesn t pass you have 30 days to come back and won t be charged. I understand being charged $5 for emission testing the second time but to pay $6 for another inspection sticker when that s included in the first inspection is them just nickel and diming, on top of that if you plan to use a credit card be prepared to pay a 4% transaction fee

Had to get my hood repaired on my brand new car, after kids in the lake had damaged it with rocks. Michelle and Jim were so kind, everything was done quickly with my estimate and fixing it. They did a perfect job. Paint job was on point and looks like original factory paint. They do extremely great quality work. Can t thank them enough!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Patterson Auto Body for the work done on my car recently. I had body work done on the right side of my car which was caused by an altercation with a guard rail in pitch black darkness.... that said.. They were great, communicative and fully transparent in what needed to be done. James and his team (including Michelle at the front desk) are friendly, helpful and informed. The best thing, was being able to get a rental car right there. Everything except my deductible, was covered by insurance. Oh yes and they returned my car to me absolutely sparkling too! All good! I have been a DIY mechanic for over 20 years. A friend recommended Patterson Autobody when my wife was involved in an accident. Not only did they repair the car back to pristine shape, they also corrected a few other body paint issues. This was 20 years ago. Ever since then, I trust them for all my automotive needs - repairs & body work. They have always been honest, trustworthy and welcoming.

I went for an inspection of my vehicle. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. After the inspection I was informed of a recall for my car which i was not aware of. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Highly recommend. Was in town visiting family and the SUV started making a rattling sound. Took the vehicle in on Wednesday evening and they had me back on the road home with a new alternator and belt by Friday afternoon. Great communication too

Great repair and Autobody shop. My son slipped off the road in the snowstorm and got his car stuck in a ditch. They were on the scene within minutes, pulled the car out and towed it to their lot. Great local service.

I was driving from Patterson, NY and noticed that my tire icon was lit on my dashboard. I drove straight into Patterson Auto Body on Route 22 and asked for help in finding out what was going on with my tires. Everyone there was super helpful. One of the guys came out (Im so sorry because I cant recall his name so my apologies) and told me he would drive it in and see what was going on. I waited maybe 5 minutes and he drove it back around and told me that one of my tires needed some air and to watch it and if the light stays lit that have the tire checked out for a leak. I thanked him and asked him what the cost was. He told me nothing and I asked Are you sure? He said yes. Wow! I happen to know Penny & Jim Byron from Patterson Auto Body through the Patterson Rotary. They are the most generous and kind people around. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Thank you to the young man who helped me and to Penny & Jim. Patterson Auto has done great work maintaining my Subaru, but has done exceptional work when it came to body work. My car was parked and hit by a snow plow a few winters ago down in NYC and they made it look new again. Have had a few parking lot dents and dings as well that they have fixed - I wouldnt use another shop for body work.

Ive been going to Patterson Auto Body for about a year now and have been very happy with them. They need to work out some kinks in their computer system and reminder emails though. I got a reminder the day after I took my car in for service to fix a problem that had apparently been taken care of the day before.

tRUST Your Mechanics Advice Patterson Auto has been my mechanic since the purchase of my 2004 Chrystler Towne & Country family van. Despite the rust that comes with age, they kept this auto in fine shape, 240,000 miles of family memories to be exact. I always felt confident behind the wheel no matter where we went because of their personal care. Recently, they advised me to start looking for another car. I decided to put more money in the van and that turned out to be the wrong decision.
