They were the reason I was comfortable getting back in to a German vehicle. Particularly a Benz. I don t feel comfortable with a general mechanic and they exhibited the knowledge and expertise that made me comfortable. I needed work done to my 2017 GLS 450 and had gotten an estimate from the dealership. After seeing a post about Automotive Ingenuity, I reached out to see if they could provide a comparative one. I received the quote quickly and had the work done within 2 weeks of my inquiry. Not only did I get to give the work to a local business, it saved me a good amount of money as well. The entire process was seamless; their quoting and booking system is modern and unlike most small auto shops. I received text/email alerts every step of the way. They absolutely go the extra mile. My steering wheel and gear shifts were even covered. My car isnt new and I have a toddler lol so its is never spotless anyway but they totally went above and beyond. I went to this shop last minute no appointment and had an issue with my 2011 Mustang Gt. What they found was my differential gears were completely shattered inside and my driveshaft was in need of replacement. I had to get to a car show that same week and they fit me in no issues. I was extremely pleased to be able to go to the car show and the car drove better than when I first got it. They also found a safety concern with my brake caliper leaking and fixed it as well. Definitely going back to them with all my cars. Do not hesitate to call them.

Wanted to give a shout out to Automotive Ingenuity repair shop in Pine Island! The mini cooper had some sudden issues this past week on way to work. We thought it may have been a warranty issue, so we told our regular shop that. They didnt want to work on it as warranty work, so we had to find another shop asap. Automotive Ingenuity took car in same day, diagnosed (of course, not covered by warranty) and repaired quickly. Easy to deal with, good communication. Highly recommend!

I recently bought a 1985 Porsche 944. I was so surprised when I saw that there was a Porsche mechanic so close to my house in Warwick. I stopped in to check it out and make an appointment for them to give my car a Post Purchase Inspection and to meet the team. Jeff came out and talked with me and it made me feel very comfortable. It was immediately clear he knows his trade but that he cares about Customer Service. I very much appreciated that. After my Inspection, Jeff called me to talk me through his detailed findings and followed that call up with an email documenting the recommended projects for my car with estimates. I tried to schedule an appointment to have my differential fluid changed. When I called, I informed the receptionist that I will be providing my own fluids when she informed me that they cannot do the labor, they have to use THEIR own fluids. When I asked to speak with the owner regarding this policy, I was hung up on. Ive never heard of a repair shop that only uses THEIR own parts and fluids. Totally unnecessary. Take your business elsewhere.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Automotive Ingenuity for the past several months.last year I brought my 2008, 150,000 miles, Volvo xc90 into A.I. for a major overhaul. The anti skid error message was always on, the check engine fault was a constant, the brakes were a real issue, and steering was anything but precise, and acceleration was not existent. In fact, at the point of meeting Jeff, we frankly were afraid to drive the vehicle. Well, 2 weeks later, Jeff called and said the vehicle was ready. When I drove it, I couldnt believe how great it drove. It was as if I had a new S.U.V. for thousands of dollars less than a new vehicle. I was so pleased with the results, that now Jeff is replacing some cosmetic issues because I want the car to look new, not just drive like its new. If you have a foreign vehicle that needs servicing; Jeff and his team is where you want to go.

Jeff and team are great and go above and beyond for us. We have all three vehicles serviced there and had winter undercarraige protection applied. I have free services and oil changes through the local dealership where we bought our cars, but still take them to Jeff. thx-

I grew up working on cars, both for hobby and occupation. I then opened my own business working on cars, specifically European. cars. I have worked on cars for 20 years, and I have to honestly say that Automotive ingenuity has been the first shop that I have trusted my vehicle with entirely. I was fortunate to change career paths, and I have been fabricating for most of my life. Now I get to do what I love for work, and pay the pros at Automotive Ingenuity and Automotive Ingenuity HD to work on all my vehicles as well as my work truck. They are hands down the best shop around!

I take my 2020 Audi A3, 2006 VW TDI and my 2003 Ford F-350 only to Automotive Ingenuity. Their prices are competitive however the reason I bring my vehicles there is because of their level of professionalism and knowledge. For me they ve done it all from oil changes to building and installing a new 6.0L powerstroke motor as well tuning and performance upgrades. One stop shop, I Highly recommend!!

Its not often that one mechanic shop recommends another mechanic shop because of their expertise. But this was the case with me. My regular mechanic strongly suggests Automotive Ingenuity because of their expertise in foreign cars, and their honesty. He was was absolutely right. Professional, courteous, and honest. A+.

I cannot say enough about this company , the mechanics and the manager Steph. I have had a land cruiser floating around my family for about 20 years now. We would give it the basic maintenance and keep it alive but it was always a hassle trying to find someone who actually knew what they were doing with the vehicle. So much so that when I brought this vehicle to automotive ingenuity the idea was just to keep it running a little bit longer. I quickly realized that they were way more capable and now was my chance to restore my old rusty Land Cruiser to its former glory. Items fixed included a nagging check engine light (even the dealer service swung and missed at this one), timing belts, a suspension overhaul, all sorts of maintenance and small worn down parts, their attention to detail is phenomenal . What can I say ! the car drives absolutely great again, Worth every penny. I travel from about an hour away, they are that good.

Fantastic service all around! Jeff and John are complete professionals and masters of the trade. They take pride in the small things (engine bay cleaned (super nice surprise when i checked the work when i got home), detailing my calipers when they changed my brakes, and even getting all of that gross sticky weight rubber off that mavis didnt when they mounted my tires). They also have this super neat system that I can pay my repair order through an app and see pictures of the multi point inspection. Very thorough. They even covered my steering wheel, shifter, and seat with special covers to keep the car clean. Customer for life! 5 stars!

had taken my vehicle to a reputable repair shop and they diagnosed what they thought was the issue inaccurately and wanted to charge me $3,500 to fix it. I heard about Automotive Ingenuity in Pine Island, NY and how they did good work and were honest and wouldnt sell you something you didnt need. I decided to bring my issue to Jeff and his excellent staff for a second opinion. Not only did they fix the problem and have my business truck back to me in less then 48 hours but they made the repair happen for just under $400 dollars including tax!!! I couldnt believe it. The best part is I told Jeff what I was previously quoted and he could have easily sold me on what they fixed for me for more then what he actually charged me but he did not. Its assuring to know there are still good honest hard working people out there running small businesses the right way not looking to get over on you. I cant say enough good about this business. Shop is up to date with every tool, gadget, lift, computer software and is super clean. They even have two very friendly pups to pet. Went in to meet with Sal and Jeff to have an oil leak diagnosed on my car. I had let the car sit over the last 3 months and my battery was super weak. Long story short, my battery died at the shop and I was stranded. Sal took the time out of his already busy day to help me try to jump start the car to no avail. A quick call to Jeff and boom he had the battery in stock ready to go. I gotta be honest, they could have charged me whatever and I would have paid. I was literally stranded. Not only did Jeff and Sal get me a great deal on the battery, but took the time to explain everything they were doing to my car. These guys know their cars and are very professional. It was my first time there and I got a tour of the shop and their services and was treated like a member of their family. For anything car related you gotta see these guys, best in the biz! I have always brought my 2014 Audi Q5 for dealer service. Since I am now working remote I was looking for a well rated repair shop that works on German cars. Thank you Google and Yelp! The reviews are spot on. I love the technology and communication! They text and/or call and send details of all charges prior to completing service. The cost is cheaper than a dealer. They called me quickly when I had a question. They covered the steering wheel, seat and floor with plastic, washed the exterior and even cleaned the engine compartment. Wow! I plan to take our other cars there as well. They work on everything. Highly recommended!

Firstly I d like to say I do not recommend anyone especially a WOMAN to this mechanic shop. I was estimated labor charges of $115 for 1 hour to change the battery on my vehicle. When asked if it takes an hour, I was told yes it does. Not only was I over charged to change something that takes 15 minutes the most. I was charged for an hour. They then tried to rob me by giving my CarShield coverage a price of $342 To repair the evaporative purge valve. But then tried to tell me that CarShield will not cover the rest of the bill (total charge $495.00) for just the evaporative system not including the battery. I then called CarShield back and was notified that the mechanic shop told them the price is $342 (On a recorded line) but they were trying to get more money out of me. Had I known that they would over charge me as such I would have refused their service. THEY EVEN TOOK MY OLD BATTERY. Now I left there and had to give them a total of $364.93 including the price of $57.00 For a diagnosis which they originally tried to charge me $115 for. Stating it also takes an hour for the diagnosis to be done. But I was smart enough to question that further so they charged me the base price of $57.00. And now the desk lady is trying to say she was being nice for lowering the price of the diagnosis. Once again MY INSURANCE COMPANY CARSHIELD HAS RECORDED PROOF OF THEIR AGREEMENT VERSUS WHAT THEY TRIED TO TELL ME IN ORDER TO GET MORE MONEY OUT OF ME. I m just glad I didn t get the rest of the work done. I left after they tried to lie on my insurance company. And I have further proof (recorded conversation with CarShield) and let s make it clear I have NEVER wrote a bad review on a mechanic shop before until now because I actually got proof from my insurance company that they tried to get more money out of me.

Excellent service by Jeff. Hes a very dedicated master Porsche technician. He was able to find an oil leak that no one else would diagnose. He saved me thousands of dollars in diagnostic research. I have driven the car 500 miles since the visit. Porsche 911 runs great. In addition he didnt try to sell me not needed work. Thanks again for the whole team.

I was in a real bind, had a tire blowout and I ended up having to replace all 4 tires. Jeff went out of his way to take care of this for me the same day. He took the time to understand the full extent of my needs to have this taken care of ASAP and he made it happen! They also go out of their way to protect your vehicle inside and out while it s being worked on to make sure you get it back in the same condition you gave it to them, if not better!

Yes I have. Although you refunded us for the $1500 worth of work you did...I will not be returning again. You only offered to take all the parts out and give us a refund...didnt offer any other options... to me that is unreliable service.

I was recommended to automotive ingenuity by a friend, and extremely happy about it. I am typically skeptical about taking my bmw to a shop I ve never been before, but knowing that Jeff was a prior BMW mechanic at a dealer eased my mind a little bit. The Jeff and the team took time out to build me a performance package that best fits my vehicle and what I wanted, and I m telling you they exceeded my expectations by a mile. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff as well. Jeff walked me through and explained each part of the upgrade to me that I felt extremely comfortable. Not only that, but they also gave me an amazing price. Overall, they put on a full catback exhaust system, with a custom fabrication made in shop due to AWE not making a specific part for my bmw, cold air intake, and also a tune by Dinan. Picked up my car and it runs + sounds 10x better than I initially expected. Will most definitely be back!

Hey my name is Colin I own a 2008 Maserati executive gt .. John Flynn took care of me and was nothing short of excellent. He was extremely honest and knowledgeable with these high end sedans. He wont sugar coat anything. He ll tell you exactly what the vehicle needs as far as repairs and pricing. If its a major repair he does his best to work with you as well as giving you other alternatives instead of a pricey repair. Its all up to you and your budget. These guys are the real deal. I learned about Automotive Ingenuity LLC from my wife. Weve both had problems with our Subarus, and no longer feel comfortable taking the cars to an authorized Subaru service center. We need diagnostic and mechanical expertise. Just as important is honesty and integrity. Automotive Ingenuity provides all of these. They work to get it right the first time and to do it in the most cost effective way. If its a check engine light, a brake repair, or a radiator problem, well get a detailed estimate and quick turnaround. Im glad we discovered this business and automotive gem.

Ive been bringing my BMW to Automotive Ingenuity since they opened their doors. Jeff is extremely SHARP! His shop diagnoses and repairs vehicles in a very timely manner for the fraction of the cost youd expect from a dealer. All the repair work weve had done has been solid. His office is extremely professional and very efficient. I cant say enough positive things about Jeff, his shop, and our experiences. Expect a great experience should you give him a try!

Automotive ingenuity, is the best shop in the area. They are both passionate and professional. The customer support they provided to help with the cost of repairs was great. They offer financing for people like me who need it.... contacted the warenty company for the warenty I received when I purchased my used bmw from a shady dealer in jersey. They Fought to have the cost of repair covered under the warenty.... additionally they spent 6 hours running multiple tests on my car that would have cost me hundreds of dollars elsewhere, until they found the problem . And barely charged me anything! Seriously amazing people and buisnes!!!

My son has a 2007 Audi A4 with higher mileage. The team here did the initial inspection and service and from day one we knew we would return. They were friendly, courteous and professional. They were honest about the work that needed done and did it on time at a fair price. Their new online billing system allows me to remotely review the work recommended and approve and pay online! Too cool for school.

Thank you Jeff!!! Newton Audi told me I needed to replace the engine on my 2007 Audi Q7 with 128,000 miles to the tune of $20,000!!! I was not falling for that and told them I was getting a second opinion. My husband some how found Jeff and we took the car to him for his opinion. Jeff took the time to analyze the issue and his team came to conclusion that it was a $2.00 fuse!!! Yes, that is right... a $2.00 fuse!! Of course I had him do a service, replace tires and repair a small oil leak at a cost by far less than Audi wanted me to pay for a miss diagnosis. The car has never run better. My husband also own an A4 and we will never take it back to Audi Newton!! Jeff has our business!! Thank you so much Jeff and your team for the expert attention to my car!!!

Jeff is a knowledgeable professional. He has fixed many problems Ive had with my Volvo, and for a reasonable cost (as opposed to the ridiculous quote the Volvo dealership gave me). Jeff is also an honest and very friendly person.

Jeff installed a brand new Southbend Stage 2 Daily clutch kit that I purchased separately in my 13 GTI. He completed the job on time and on budget vs the initial quote AND he also took care of 3 additional punch list items that I had mentioned as well. So, technically... under time / under budget I would have to say. My goal in selecting a shop to do the clutch replacement was to feel the maximum level of comfort with the work. Jeff accomplished this brilliantly as every indication Ive gotten through the whole process was that the work would not just be completed, but it would optimized, to the extent possible. After 500 miles driven on the new clutch the experience is exactly what it should be with a brand new high quality part. 10 / 10.
