I rolled into Potterville garage with a number of my dash lights on, and brakes not working properly. They came out in short order, spotted a cracked/rusted brake line, got me in within about 45 min, and fixed the broken line about about an hour later. Saved us, as we were passing through to Lake Placid. Only lost 2-3 hours rather than a whole day or more! Thank you !!!
Our car broke down on the way to nyc and have never been met with friendly and quicker service. They fixed our caliper in 3 hours we were back on the road and made it safely! Can’t recommend more and hit up Black Bear Restaurant while you’re in Pottersville. Also say hello to Heather and Doug love them.
My alternator died the first morning of our ski trip. Workers at the resort recommended this place and I went with it. A friendly guy answered the phone and said he could tow it and fix it today. They finished it up before the end of day and I got back to the house on time. Thank you for the service!

Great experience fixing my daughter's 2017 Toyota RAV 4 Limited during October 2024, extensive repairs costing over $4,000. They come get your car if it's local. I'm a 65-year-old local globe-trotting engineer and they have always been a consistently well-run business making our community proud. Doug and Heather are wonderful conscientious professionals, and staff does excellent work at fair prices!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience at the mechanic in Potterville! We were in a really tight spot when our car’s ignition starter coil went out, and they absolutely saved the day. Not only did they squeeze us in on a Saturday, but the service was fast, affordable, and top-notch. This family-owned business truly goes above and beyond—everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it felt more like visiting friends than dealing with car trouble. The price was incredibly fair, and the quality of work was outstanding. If you’re ever in need of a mechanic in the area, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

WOW! thank you guys so so much! We didn t have an appointment and we were stranded with some car trouble. Not only did they help us out, they also gave us a ride and found us a place to stay overnight while the car was waiting on a part. Can t say enough about the kind folks that work here!

I broke down during snowstorms, and everything was closed due to no power, and it was after hours. Car required new radiator due to transmission cooling line broke off and lost all fluids. Had car towed to Pottersville Garage and called at 8am they had me up and running by 1pm. This may have been an oddity as some people canceled due to weather. However, they jumped right on it, and I was back on the road. They turned a bad experience into a good one just to see there are still good people in the world.
BEWARE OF THIS RIP OFF GARAGE !!! They do not have any certified mechanics ... They completely try to take advantage of people by telling they need a certain part in which is a scam. Paul became very angry with me as I disagreed on the service of my car that I knew that I needed. I told him that I did not have any trust or faith in him and that I was taking my business elsewhere. He demanded that I pay 270.00 dollars for a short and easy tow. This Paul guy used many profanity language and threatened to scratch up my Chrysler convertible car. I am not forced to take this matter to small claims court.
$92 for a $30 trailer tire I could see $50 but $92! (not even mounted just the tire). There is no excuse for ripping someone off for 1 tire. Im not even a tourist smh. The tire on my car cost $10 more than that....

I was visiting family in this region and heard a random noise near my left front tire. I was nervous about driving back home. I called in the morning and explained the situation and they squeezed me in later that day. My car was looked at and fixed within an hour. The staff was kind and straight forward. The work was done for a reasonable price. Very pleased with my experience!

We were out of town and broke down. Not only did they fix our vehicle, which was minor and inexpensive, they helped us find transportation back to our camp. Genuinely nice, very honest.
Theyre always busy, but thats because they do solid work. And they got me in the day after I called. And also had my car back to me in 4 hours with the wheel bearing done correctly.

The people who work here know what they are doing and are super nice! We had a flat tire in the rain while driving and the gentleman who came from Pottersville Garage came to tow us so quickly. He brought us back to the garage and put a new tire on without us even having to leave the car except to pay. Quick, friendly, and reliable service.

Got stuck on a dirt road (crane pond road)with a flat tire and a flat spare, one tow truck company rejected us because they said they couldnt get to it. But Doug came out and got us no problem. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
This garage saved our vacation. Headed for a wedding downstate on a Saturday when an oil line broke causing all oil to drain. They towed my car, immediately started working, and quickly found the problem. They were able to get the part and install, refill the oil, and within two hours, I was on the road again. Great technicians and friendly personnel.

We broke down on 87 just past the pottersville exit on our way to Montreal. These guys scooped us up in less than 10 minutes and fixed the car in about 4 hours. Then we were back on our way! Huge thanks to the team here for fitting us in so suddenly and for helping us make it to where we needed to go!!!
Blew a tire on our Airstream. Doug came and took the old tire off, put our spare on (which was mostly flat) got to the shop refilled the spare and put two brand new tires on it for us all in 45 minutes.
Just had their tow truck driver cut my family and I off. There wasnt even a car behind us, but they still needed to dangerously cross in front of us. Shouldnt have someone who drives reckless.

We were stranded at camp on 100 degree weekend and Roger squuezed us in and got us up and back on the road the next day. They even dropped my wife back off at the boat launch after leaving the truck with them so we could still have fun on the water. I can see where Ive read in these comments people mention him being unpleasant because he wasnt exactly the leader of the pep squad with us, but all in all he and his guys saved are buts! They did a great job at a fair price. Definitely recommend!

Stopped by to pick up a tire they had repaired in connection with a AAA service call. People were nice. The place looked like it was owned by hoarders. Glad I didnt have to stay long.
I ran over a stump pulling hubbys boat trailer and bent fender in where it was almost touching tire. It definitely would have with weight of boat. Stopped here and they took us right in and straightened it. We were in and out in 20 minutes! They were awesome!!

God experience. I was coming back from Vermont with my wife and young son, heading home to central NY. When my car developed a bad metal on metal squealing from the left front tire. My imagination running wild, I decided to have it checked, and was worried about being hosed, but these guys were straight up. Listened to me, took off the wheel, checked the bearings, rust, etc. $20 later and 30 minutes later we were back on the road sans squeak.

Worst mechanic ever. My pregnant fiancées car has been at their shop for almost two months and somehow theyre still finding stuff wrong with it. She was quoted $500 and yet now she forking over $1400 dollars almost two months later. Her mothers vehicle has been in and out of that shop a few times in the last few months as well and still needs work. This place is nothing but a bunch of scumbags trying to screw you over and squeeze you for every possible penny they can.
These guys did a great job! Had a flat tire, and they helped me right on the spot. Basically I just needed a new air valve, so they hooked me up and sent me on my way. Only $14, and they were friendly and quick!
