Online appt request accommodated. Everything was explained clearly. Service was completed within 2 hrs. Nice gazebo to sit and read while waiting. Would definitely recommend.

Went in today at my mom s suggestion-she s been going here for years. Had a loose part that just needed a few screws to fix, but that I couldn t get to myself. They got me in and out in a few minutes, were very polite and professional, and didn t charge me for the quick fix! I agree with my mother s high opinion of this shop, and plan to return in the future when I need other services. Thank you guys so much!

While vacationing in Lake George, my car started to have issues steering. I brought it to this shop and Tim and his staff assured me that they would take car of this in a timely manor. He said they would first flush the system and hope that was the problem(at a cost of $139) if that didnt work he would replace the power steering pump(at a cost of approximately $1100) He called me back within in hour or so and told me the flush had worked. I was so relieved. I truly appreciate their honesty, they could have easily said they needed to replace the pump and I would have said ok, as i needed my car as soon as possible. But they did not. I highly recommend this shop if you are ever in the area and have an emergency. Thank you again Tim,Tom and all your staff.

They refused to put the kind of oil that I wanted in my vehicle. They said that the vehicle called for FULL synthetic. I knew that but I am getting rid of my car VERY soon!! It should be my choice what I want to do with MY vehicle. Im the one paying for it. I am already way over my mileage for a change. They have lost this customer for life!! That is also my choice. REVISED - I dont want your help!!! Your customer service SUCKS!

Paid $300 for a coolant leak and they didn t fix it. My friend paid over $3000 for a brake job and had to go back for repairs 3 times. Find somewhere else or waste your money.

Everyone was friendly, the service was quick and the prices are fair. You even get a text message with the overall check of your car and there are explanations in each category which I thought was awesome. Then you know what you need to have done in the near future. Overall, they were great!

Very pleased! I walked in today 8/8 and asked if they had my tires and if they could put them on today. They in fact did! Sue was a sweetheart! Played with my son! And the guys mechanics were very fast and friendly! 10/10 place to go!

This is the only garage our family uses! We are not car savvy people so it can be tough to find a garage you trust not to take advantage. But Tim and Tom have always taken excellent care of us. Prices are competitive and they never try to upsell a service we don t need. They provide thorough inspections at each visit and are upfront about genuine safety concerns but always have an honest conversation with us about what can wait. So grateful we found these guys!

The wheel alignment was good. However, the manager was wrong about the service charge. He did correct the mistake.

I stopped in recently with an extremely loud exhaust. I was not only given an appointment to check it out for later that day, and a quote for the work. It was fixed the next day and I paid less than the original quote. They were all very professional and timely with getting my vehicle back to New. I would highly recommend Midas for your next car repair.

I went there for a repair then went back for an inspection. I only had 1 problem. They didnt inspect horsetrailers, but so far all the places I have checked dont inspect horse trailers.

My girlfriend went in for a inspection and they ended up charging her 1000 dollars for breaks and rotars for a Kia shortage which is ridiculous. She went back in to have them tighten the lug nuts and the guy at the counter was extremely rude to her about it. The suv is shaking when you go over a certain speed. Unbelievable.

The waiting room is hot with no AC all summer The chairs all have massive cobwebs underneath and the return can bin was completely full and gross and a little stinky because of the heat I hate coming here but the value is ok and they can always fit me in. Services

I was driving to VT for a funeral (from SC) with my 4 year old daughter when we got a flat tire on the interstate around 2:45 on a Friday. I called 4 auto shops who could not fit me in, but the last one recommended calling Midas. The manager was an angel who fit us in so we could continue on our trip! This business literally saved my sanity in what was otherwise a completely terrible week. And on top of that, they gave me the great news that I only needed one tire instead of 4 for my AWD vehicle. Thank you for all that you did for us!

Told me that legally they couldnt install wheels without tire pressure sensors. BS.

The moment I walked in the door I felt with a man with a bad attitude. I simply needed 4 spark plugs changed and 4 new tires. Instead I was told that my car was a lemon. After paying 75$ for a diagnostic that I could have gotten for free from auto zone. In the end I got nothing done because the man said he didn t know what was wrong exactly, after quoting me 1505$ for 4 tires and 4 spark plugs. 364 in labor that mavis did for free. They changed the spark plugs and gave me the tires and an alignment for 700$. This man took the alignments off because it made the bill almost 1800$. If you want a good deal, and not have a man hound you with unnecessary repairs, go to mavis. They need to tell their guy to give customers the choice in tires and spark plugs, and if someone pays to diagnose a check engine light, maybe you might want to know the problem before taking their money, instead of saying, I don t know but your car should be taken back to your dealership! What a ripoff and waist of 2 hours

Counter person acted as if he was doing me a favor. Granted was there for 3 inspections on truck and 2 trailers. Was starting to use them for most of my repairs. Liked last time I was there, however probably easier to get inspections at Warren tire.

Best service and personnel I have experienced at any mechanic shop. Fixed a coolant problem caused by another dealership in no time and flawlessly as well. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for quick and efficient fix times as well as an amazing staff.

Did some work on my car. New brakes rotors and tires. A little pricey but they were honest about everything my car needed and even sent me a detailed inspection via text. Did a great job with the work they did. Thank y all for that. Just wish it didn t cost me as much and take 3&1/2 hours. That is my only reason for not leaving 5 stars

I took my car in to get assessed a while ago. The engine was knocking and it stalled out leaving me stranded, which I explained to them over the phone. They called me back and told me that my deep knocking was caused by a blown valve cover gasket and they where going to charge me over $1000 for the repair, I had it towed back to my house and had an actual professional inspect it. The reason it was knocking was a wrist pin failure of cylinder 2. That is the pin that holds the cylinder head to the cylinder rod. I fixed this myself using a diner car I bought for $200 and maybe $300 worth of gaskets including the valve cover gasket they where going to overcharge me for. In short, they where going to charge me $1000 to not fix my car, if you have a fairly big mechanical problem, do not take your car here. Go to a specialist or local mechanic shop that doesn t stop when they come to the first thing that is wrong with your car, it will save you a ton of money in the long run.

Had an appt for an oil change. Even though they were short one mechanic & extremely busy, the service was excellent. Very professional & observed COVID protocol.

Great experience! Tim in the office was very professional. I thought I had a problem with my muffler but it ended up just being a loose part. They fixed it at no charge! My car has over 100,000 miles on it and I would have totally believed that it needed new parts. I truly appreciate an automotive repair business that is honest and doesnt unnecessarily replace parts that do not need it! I will definitely go back again if I need maintenance and I highly recommend them!

Went for 2nd car inspection after repairing what they told me was wrong on the first inspection. Now they tell me something else is wrong and failed me again. No excuse why this other repair was not mentioned at the 1st inspection. NOT HAPPY.

I was traveling to Queensbury/Glens Falls on a little breakaway when I realized that I had some grinding sounds coming from the front of my truck (Green/Silver 05 Chevy Trailblazer). I spoke with Tom, explaining what s going on asking him to check it out. He had me in and out with a new wheel hub/bearing in about an hour and without even an appointment. Tom asked me when I was heading back to Nova Scotia, I stated Sunday, he asked me to come back tomorrow (Saturday April 6/19) in order to re-torque my wheel for safety. When I returned the next day, not only did they torque my wheel, but I needed headlights changed for me, for no charge. I just wanted to thank you Tom and your crew for your excellent customer care! I always have a great experience with Midas in Queensbury, NY, recently had my oil changed and tires rotated on very rainy day, when finished they were nice enough to back my car in the bay so when I left all I had to do was pull out so I wouldn t get soaking wet, hats off to Ian and the desk manager repeat customer for sure

Way overpriced. Literally at least double what i would have paid elsewhere and i was pressured into getting services done that day rather than waiting to take it to a cheaper honest mechanic. They supposedly fixed an issue and it is still making the same noise so $640 later and still having the same issue. They will fully take advantage of you, stay far away. Wait time is horrendous as well.

I already have a lot of mileage on my car so I go in there for the full synthetic oil change and get my tires rotated for free you can walk in but I prefer to make an appointment cuz my time is valuable and then Im in and out of there then after you drive your car if you come back by and instantly they come out and re tighten your lug nuts to make sure that theyre safe after youve driven a little bit theyll do the throat service check as well its fabulous

We are travelling across America in a truck towing a travel trailer. We are from New Zealand. Tom and his staff gave us exceptional service. The brakes had a potential issue on the truck. As we will be travelling some 8000 miles this trip I thought we should get it fixed straight away. I rang and was booked in the following day. I turned up and shortly the vehicle was being checked. They couldnt find anything wrong. I said replace the pads anyway. Once on the hoist it was clear there was no issue at all and that the pads did not need replacing. They showed me and I agreed. At the end of the day they did not charge me for anything. They should have but didnt. I should have given them a tip but because we do not have tipping in New Zealand it went out of my mind. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm they were brilliant. We have been RVing in America for the last five years and always use Midas for our servicing. We will be promoting them where ever we go. Maybe Midas HQ might get involved with Good Sam etc. Thanks again.

Awesome service. Was vacationing in the area for the weekend and my Jeep started running sluggish. They were one of the only shops I was able to find open and quickly diagnosed the issue. They were very honest about what was wrong and what needed to be done and got me back on the road in less than an hour. Highly recommend them.

Had a great experience with Tim and Josh. Called and got my truck in the same day, the guys working on it were quick and honest. My truck is very old and they told us it is not worth our money to repair one problem when the whole thing is on its last leg anyway. Very much appreciated their honesty and help. I would recommend this Midas to anyone.

I had a new spring put on plus my emergency brake fixed and new rear brakes and rotors . They are a little pricey but they do a great job.My car is old and it drives like its brand new.

They updated Carfax with my inspection, which passed with flying colors and a recommendation to watch something that was not dripping YET. Very impressed. Could be hit or miss tho, a fellow customer had to get assertive to get them to find a screw in her tire which was under warranty.

You walk in and think you re at a resort the lobby is that nice. They use seat covers and floor mats on each car, They re honest and will make you the priority for the duration of your time there. Do not hesitate to go to midas in queensbury for all your cars needs. They do everything except paint and body work

He offered me tylenol for my headache, gave me a lot of options in getting my car fixed. He offered me the snap financing (which I never knew about). He was just amazing from start to finish. Trailer inspection in 10 minutes

Today I showed up on time for my 8:30 am appt to have four new tires mounted and balanced. At 8:45 I saw the technician drive my car into a bay. After an hour, I expected the tires would be finished, and thought maybe it was taking longer since I asked to have a brake bulb and running light bulb replaced as well. An hour and 45 minutes after arriving, I finally approached the desk to see what was going on. The desk manager/scheduler said the tech had been 15 minutes late for work that day, and then didnt see me around and assumed I had left the car there for the day and wasnt waiting. What BS. Ill guess that it isnt the techs job to assume anything, and since he was 6 bays down past the waiting room, wouldnt have known if I was waiting or not. As bad or worse, the scheduler at the front desk (who seemed to be in charge) appeared more focused on his cell phone and didnt bother to check on the substantial delay, despite the fact the he absolutely did know that I was waiting. After 2.5 hours, I got my car back with four new tires. They didnt have time to do the bulb replacements (?). To the service managers credit, he didnt charge me anything for the $62 mounting and balancing job.

I have been coming to the Midas on Quaker Road in Queensbury, NY on and off since 2010 ish. They ve seen 3 different vehicles that I ve owned in that time and performed numerous services. It never fails, every time I m here- I m amazed how far they go out of their way to accommodate me. One time I needed a headlight light bulb and someone drove to another location to get it! They ve given me rides to places while working on my car and also provided complimentary services when I haven t even complained! I trust them and they feel like family. Got a new car a few months ago and was finally ready to get an oil change and checkup. Went here based on all the great Google reviews. So glad I went. The man at the counter was super helpful and let my husband and I honestly know how everything was. Great service, everything was quick and efficient. Will be coming here from now on for repairs and maintenance.

I used to get good service and decent prices. This has changed a bit. My last few visits took much longer for basic services and also seemed to cost more. I recently had 4 tires swapped at $25 per tire. Seemed high but I went ahead with it anyhow. I asked if I should get an alignment also. Guy at the desk seemed to imply they were too busy to do one but I probably didnt need it anyways. Not sure how he felt that since this was before they looked at my car. In the end they threw my old tires in the back of my SUV without putting them in tire bags. Left some dark stains on my headliner and rear side of my seats that I must now clean. I ended up at a dealership up the road who took me right in for an alignment since I still felt it was important with new tires. The dealership also pointed out that they were cheaper for many services, included mounting and balancing tires. The dealership lastly found my NYSI was overdue, which they also did for me.

My husband took our car over to them to get a car inspection done. Turns out needed a brake job but due to their high prices, we only got pads done, not rotors. It took them 3 hours to do both an inspection and the pads. They also wouldnt pass it due to the high mount brake light being out. They wanted to replace the whole LED strip for a total of $126 more. My husband refused and they refused to give us a ten day inspection sticker. So we got pulled over and got a ticket that we now have to pay due to them being petty. I looked at the brake light myself and got a new bulb which cost $6 and 20 minutes of my time. Terrible service. Never go to this place!

Went here to get my car inspected and they wouldnt pass my car due to play in the inner tie rod end and bad but new windshield wipers. Let me tell you something, tie rods during a state inspection area allowed a certain amount of play, brand new tie rods can be manipulated into having movement when you shake the wheel. Then they quote me $430 to replace the tie rod and the wipers. Tie rods cost about $40 and wipers about $15, and could be easily replaced in less than an hour. ***DO NOT GO HERE** They are just there to steal your money. Piss poor representation of a mechanic.

Im on vacation and like most people, I hate it when the car wants to take a vacation too. When the muffler on my car started to get loud, I figured that my vacation was over. That night I started to look for a repair shop for my muffler when I came across all of these positive reviews about this station. I was about 40 miles north of here and I had tried a different Midas under a different owner in Plattsburgh the day before (they werent able to get me in to check things even though they only had 2 cars in their 8 bay facility), so I was sceptical about the Midas in Glens Falls as well. But with a very pleasant surprise, the reviews here were correct. Even though I didnt like paying for a unexpected repair on my vacation, the vacation isnt over like I thought. Even without a appointment, they were not only able to get me in to check it, they were able to fix it within the time table that they gave me. Not only that, the quote that they gave me was spot on (minus the taxes though). I was extremely pleased with not only the service but also the pricing. The hourly rate might be a little too high but I was watching the mechanic and he didntnt waste any time fixing the problem. I dont normally post a review for anything (much less such a long one) but if there could be a higher rating for these guys, you would get it from me. Oh, and did I mention that the managers were at a training session while I was there? If one of their mechanics can handle the office in such a professional manner, I can only imagine how good the managers themselves would be. Thank you all for saving my vacation.

Worst experience I ever had in the past 50 years. In doing simple maintenance some flunky kid broke the clock spring on the steering column. They tried to turn it on us. Ended up giving us a deal on parts we did not need to compensate for their screw up rather than just fixing their debacle. In the end we payed for their failure. My butt still hurts when I think of it. New went back, never will.

Above and beyond, great experience, quality and professionalism all the way. If youre from out of town and stranded this is the place to go for the best care and dealing with your Auto....and wallet.

I went there last week with my car. great people, diagnosed my car in maybe 10 minutes. They brought me under the car to show me what was wrong, said my transmission, and clutch were both gone. they quoted me at $3,500 to replace my clutch, and transmission. Along with other issues, i gave them a list of other things i needed replaced. This quote was solely for my transmission, and clutch. after almost thinking about getting a new car. I called the Chevy dealership, to quote a NEW transmission. They thought what I had told them sounded a little off. The gentleman at Chevy ask me 5 questions that debunked Midas diagnosis. From my answers, he doubted what Midas said was the case. So i called Midas for my keys, sending it to Chevy. they IN FACT lost my keys to my car. Which they didnt tell us until my partner was there. remind you, we had no car so had to ask someone else to bring us there. which was a bit of an inconvenience when we left without the keys. Long story short, they just so happen to be in a acquaintances car that just so happen to be there. This somehow when I called seemed like an inconvenience TO THEM. At this point Im fuming, soooooo much run around., not to mention dealing with this while i was at work. We finally got the keys, i got my car that i DROVE to Chevy with (according to Midas) a blown transmission, and clutch. I called the 1-800 number complaining about all this. you think they did ANYTHING?! not a single thing. dismissed my claims from Chevy, and the fact i felt I was taken advantage of.Being a young girl who knew nothing about cars, and desperately needing mine fixed. Bob (service rep at the 1-800 call center) said and i quote BobId like to think they would not do such a thing in regards to me say i feel i was taken advantage of. HERE WE ARE! spent 350.00 on a rental for the week that Chevy had my car. Which could have been avoided if Midas were honest, and got it fixed. FINAL DIAGNOSIS FROM CHEVY. my transmission had cables to be replace, and most of my clutch PLUS my battery, Speed control censor, and new battery $1,600 WORSE CASE SCENARIO. BRAVO MIDAS FOR BEING MODERN DAY CROOKS! less than half of what I was quoted at from Midas. These reviews saying they are great. i doubt this very much!!!

Had an alternator and TPS sensors installed. They damaged my remote start and then told me there is nothing they can do. No offer of compensation at all. Be careful when you bring your car, when they damage it they will not do anything.

I work overseas and my truck sits for months at a time...Upon my return this trip, my wheels had a light squeak coming from the wheels that I noticed at slow speeds...I suspected possible brake issues and went to Midas off of the reviews I saw about them online...They got me right in and upon an inspection the Midas team showed me my brakes and said they were fine but recommended having the calipers serviced that would get rid of the squeak...I was out in about an hour...Other places may have taken advantage of the situation, but these guys did not and they were fast and very professional...Thanks MIDAS Team Queensbury!

This is a tremendous repair shop! Midas of Queensbury is the ideal Auto Repair shop. Any shop, franchise or local, should heed their example of professionalism, courtesy, integrity, quality, and fairness of pricing. The shop had previously declined in quality due to a very rude and incompetent manager, who thankfully has been terminated. Presently a prospective customer gets to interact with Nicole and another nice gentlemen manager for whom I cannot recall the name. Nicole works the desk and is extremely cordial and informative. She also simply adhered to my repair request without the added pressure of upselling and promoting unnecessary services which is so commonly found amongst many franchise repair shops. The estimate provided prior to conducting my repairs was fair and accurate, the workmanship was excellent, and I am extremely happy with how it has improved my vehicles functioning. Far exceeding expectations. This Midas is located in a very convenient location for residents of Warren and Washington county to access. Also, the waiting room is the best one I have stayed in for an auto repair. Cable TV, free coffee, Restrooms, comfortable chairs, and free Wi-Fi are available while you briefly wait for your car to be ready. I was able to peacefully work on my laptop while the mechanics got the job done right. As much as this review may be perceived as a shameless plug. Know that I was very apprehensive and guarded about this Midas(and any auto repair shop) prior to my appointment with them. You see, I had recently suffered through the experience of a hack rip-off job from another local mechanic and arrived at my appointment with no tolerance for any semblance of BS. I was ready to promptly walk out the door if even the slightest bit of ambiguity, shadiness, or pressure sales occurred. Fortunately, I was extremely pleasantly surprised with the experience and I am comforted to know that I now have a high quality, reliable, and nationwide warrantied auto repair shop to do business with hopefully for years to come.
