My wife and I worked with James Lynch, ultimately purchasing a new Sportage. James was very knowledgeable and we feel we got a good price on our trade-in and a fair price on the Sportage. He patiently walked us through all of the features and controls in our new car. This experience was less stressful and more pleasant than my previous car buying experiences.

I tried to get an appt for my FIRST oil change. What a nightmare. I called 5 or 6 times, kept getting voicemail. They hung up on me once. Not a good first impression with my brand new car. When I did speak with someone, it seemed like it was an inconvenience to get me an appt.

It was a great experience working with Garvey Kia. I have been shopping for a Kia Sportage for several months. I traveled to other Dealerships in Albany, Schenectady and Rochester NY. Overall they were all pleasant but one in particular called me 2-3 times a week and for the wrong vehicle. It became annoying. At Garvey there was an appropriate amount of follow-up to check on my needs, thoughts and plan to obtain a new vehicle. There was open and honest dialogue about vehicle availability and pricing. It was a pleasure picking up my THIRD Garvey vehicle.

I stopped in at Garvey to check out the EV9. The dealership was very clean. The prices were reasonable. I was greeted by a gentleman, i believe his name was Cory or Corey. Very helpful! I will be back there soon to buy!

UPDATE: I have updated my Google review because someone at Garvey reached out to me and exhibited a very high level of professionalism and reimbursed me for the rattle that wasn t fixed. They were more than friendly and more than professional on the phone and they seem very genuine about fixing this issue that occurred. I am very happy with how this turned out, and accordingly, have updated my review. I have financed two cars through Garvey and had a great experience both times. I have worked with Adam. It is to be expected to have a good encounter while you are giving money to a facility that work on commission. However, if you re looking for a place, that s going to care about you and your vehicle after the fact of purchasing, this is not the place. I have complained about a rattle in my vehicle frequently and finally got it in. $180 later they claimed to have fixed the rattle, meanwhile less than 36 hours after the fact, it s rattling again and they refuse to help. I have never encountered such unprofessionalism and an unwillingness to help. I will be getting rid of this vehicle and suggest you do not purchase here. I have spoken with friends and family in regards to this issue, as well as other car mechanic shops, and none of them have had a good word to speak about Garvey Kia s service department.

I purchased a 2025 Sportage and had a very positive experience. I am admittedly not pleasant when purchasing a vehicle because I do not appreciate the typical process. My lease was ending and I was seeing if there was something else out there. According to the current rep I was working with (different brand), I was going to have to make a compromise in order to get what I wanted. My main item was i wanted more storage, cargo area. I was also trying to maintain the vehicle I had. So I did my research to see what else was out there, and see if I really had to compromise. Sure enough, I make a random stop at Garvey to test drive vehicles. John Starling was great. I was very honest what I wanted. He went on multiple test drives with me and my husband (separately). I didnt feel like he was just trying to sell me. My final decision is a VW Atlas and I love it. Now well see how tbe service department is when I need service!!

I just went through the Process of buying a brand new 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan from Garvey Kia/Volkswagen, and I dealt with James Lynch! He made sure the process went very smoothly and I couldn t recommend him enough. He was very good about explaining what the car had to offer as well as making sure it was ready/clean once it became time for me to pick up! It was a great experience overall!!

While Im glad to Garvey Kia for helping me while I was on vacation, during a warranty engine replacement on my Sorento, they did unfortunately mess up my AC in the process (which needed to be drained to get to the engine.) A subsequent Kia dealership found that their hurry created several potential problems. $1800 to fix Garvey Kias mistake. Unfortunately warranty work will never be prioritized here and you just cant trust dealerships these days.

Dont buy a car here drive the extra half hour or so and go to nemer in Latham. They are very friendly and informative and dont try to act like things that are wrong with your vehicle arent covered under warranty . Queensbury Garvey may be good at selling a car but watch out for what comes down the road. Brandon is the worst service department employee I have ever encountered. If anyone sees this and wants to know why check the garvey vw reviews...my one of many horrific encounters with them is posted there!

I just read a review and thought this sounds very similar to mine and my husbands experience...wow! Bought our used car on the last day of Month of May...was told everything was being taken care of and the shimmy I felt in the brakes when braking was being looked at as we waited for things to be done paperwork wise. The next day while driving, my steering wheel was shimmying real bad when I was applying my brakes! My husband talked with salesman and scheduled an appointment with service, just to have a message left on phone saying it was cancelled and we had to wait to have the issue addressed! My husband then went there and spoke with salesman and service manager, to be told we had to wait 30 days to have the issue addressed through our service contract that we had to ask for the first page of, which should be in effect at time of purchase, not to mention we do have lemon laws! I have bought several vehicles in my life, never was I told I had to wait to have something fixed that should have been taken care of at the time, especially something that could potentially put my family at risk! Our overall experience has not been good! Initially when I was asked the day of purchase while waiting to write a review, I wrote a good one...I do not feel that way now.

The service department has gone down hill drastically since Jeremy has left. He was very upbeat and professional and above all very thorough with every step of any service. I just had work done there and from what I thought I was paying to what I had to pay at the end was a big shocker. I had even repeated to the head of sales when making the appointment the amount I had heard and was never corrected so when I went to app they confirmed the services I was getting but did not state the pricing yet again otherwise I would have caught it and avoided unnecessary disappointment with the service experience I had. I sent message out to head of service once again to tell him about what happened and all he did was apologize said it was in papers I signed and told me to have a good day. Which made me feel the conversation was an open/ ended deal. The overall atmosphere is not very welcoming and certainly do not make you feel like customer satisfaction is worth their time.

Completely incompetent service receptionists

I recently bought a 2024 Kia Forte at Garvey Kia and I am very satisfied with the whole experience. I brought in 2015 model for service (that I originally purchased used) to address a problem my local mechanic was not able to help with. When I came to the conclusion that it made the most sense to invest in a newer vehicle Tom walked me through the available options in a helpful, efficient no pressure manner. The service and sales departments made this process as painless as possible for me. I had a deal for a reasonably priced vehicle before the morning was over. This was my first experience with the dealership and the process was very smooth. I m so happy with my new car!

What an amazing experience! I recently got the 2024 Kia Niro EV, and I can confidently say it was the best experience I have had purchasing a vehicle. I recently leased a 2024 Sorento from Garvey. My wife and I have been Kia customers for many years and have always trusted Garvey Kia and their team. I feel compelled to leave of review because our sales process this time was such a pleasure. Our salesperson Allie Kennedy, finance personnel Adam Schroek, and manager Martin Kunath could not have been any more patient, kind, and professional with my wife and I. Negotiating a deal to purchase or lease of a vehicle can be daunting, but not at Garvey. If you are in the market for a Kia or Volkswagen you have to shop Garvey, theyre excellent!

Kyle Depew a supposedly certified service advisor is the rudest man I have ever dealt with. He talks down to women & thinks because your a woman that you dont know anything about cars. He gets annoyed when you call him out about them telling you it needs a $1100 part when you take it someplace else and it does not need that part. If my Kia didnt have a recall I would never have went there and once they finish my car ( which is taking twice as long, because they keep breaking parts) I will never step foot on there property again Do Better Garvey I have bought 2 cars from you ,but your service Department has ruined it for everyone.

5- Years ago my review was: Great customer service while helping to get me into a new family car. Would recommend dealing with Tom Belden hands down to anyone looking to buy a new or used car, very responsive and helpful. Now and forever my review will be: I would advise anyone looking to do business with Garvey Kia to make the extra effort and go elsewhere. I previously supported Garvey, but after having work done and the interior of my car destroyed by the service department, I have been trying to get my car repaired to the condition it was prior to them working on it from October 2023 until April 2024, with them still not having it fixed 100%. The service department, specifically Larry Brown, only addressed items as I pushed for them to, acknowledging the fact that they ruined my car but saying that they would not replace the damaged hood liner as it was outside the budget for the project. The only work they did was that of which they could word the work orders to be covered by KIA, which the cosmetic damage to my hood liner was not and was an issue I would have to take up with the dealer, per the KIA complaint I filed. You should never have to battle with your dealer to get them to correct damages they do to your vehicle during their service, and the amount I had to push just to get them to replace the molding they scratched, fix the seatbelts they broke, align the molding they did not put back up correctly, clean the butyl tape out of my headliner, which they never successfully did, nor did they fix the headliner matting, sagging, and scratches from cleaning, despite the molding not being symmetrical or appearing nice whatsoever. IF YOU DO NOT LISTEN TO MY WARNING AND IF YOU RUN INTO ISSUE WITH GARVEY SERVICE, AND YOU WILL, REMEMBER:1. The NYS DMV can be contacted to conduct an investigation.2. Small Claims Courts have different price points between town and county that you can file a claim up to, and prior to filing, have another dealer give you a repair quote for the work.3. Make sure you keep records of all communications, as you will need those for the Better Business Bureau.

Although a long process due to the scarcity of the vehicle I purchased, it was worth the wait. Tom Belden is great to deal with. He made things super easy for me and was up front about the whole process (even giving the bad news and setting reasonable expectations when he knew it could take a while to get my car). I want to start by saying that I am NOT one to leave reviews! I must give praise to Tina. I was looking to trade my plug-in hybrid and had just left a local Hyundai dealership because of a not-so-go experience. I almost just went home as I was in no mood after the Hyundai place, but it was my only day I had to go look at cars, so I decided to go see what Kia had to offer. I was meet by a friendly gentleman who brought me to Tina. She was very professional, up front, honest and was not blowing smoke, you know where - like I felt the Hyundai dealer did!! There was a car there that was what I was looking for and I did buy it. Tina made the whole process easy, and everything went smoothly. I drove the car home the next day. It has not quite been two weeks since I purchased the car, but the more I drive it the more I like it. I cant thank Tina enough for being the perfect salesperson for me. I would definitely recommend her and when it comes time to trade this car, I will definitely go to her first!

The salesman i went through was named safe. Guy did his job well. Initially we were looking at hybrids but the price range was too high. We then decided to look at a KIA Forte GT line. The car drove very smoothly and had features my old 10 Sonata could only dream about. The only issue (outside Safes control) was the car was not detailed when i went to go pick it up. As I said before it was NOT Safes fault, just something that couldnt be done. Overall my experience was excellent.

I am a lifetime Toyota car loyal buyer, however, the 1st time test drive of the 2023 KIA Sportage hybrid EX at Garvey KIA changed totally my decision. The design, the techs, the quality, and the 10-year 100k warranty are unwatchable by Rav4 or CRV (I tested all of them this year). I really enjoy my driving experience with my Sportage after driving it for a month with 38/38 miles per gallon trips. I had a great experience during my recent car purchase of a 2023 Kia Sorento Hybrid EX SX Prestige with John Starling at Garvey Volkswagen Kia, Queensbury, NY. (No affiliate to any Garvey locations) I am so grateful we came upon such an honest salesman and honest establishment. I cannot say enough good things about him or the dealership, including manager Adam. This was my daughter s first car buying experience and I m glad Nathan was able to assist her with that process. I didnt buy a car from there (yet) but YOU should! Huge shout-out to salesperson John and manager Chris. Last night I had one of the best car-dealership experiences I have ever had in my life. I came to look at a car, but the financials werent quite there yet on my end. There was no pressure to buy, go out of my comfort zone or the typical What is it gonna take to get you into this car? experiences. Both John and Chris were on board, understood, and could easily appreciate my position. They both shook my hand, wished me well and for a transaction that didnt end with driving off the lot in a new vehicle, I know when Im ready to, that will be the only dealership I would consider.
