Make an appointment for 9am and pay 25 bucks to confirm your appointment and tire purchase. Arrive on time .and call ahead only to have walk ins serviced prior to you. 10am sitting waiting for an hour what s the point of the appointment!!! Never again

Very professional and I would recommend.

Tried to sell me on wheel bearings and tie rods none of which I actually needed. I did need upper control arm bushings and a new upper control arm which does give very similar symptoms just a lot less expensive. Would recommend doing just tires or getting a second opinion.

Ive been going to Mavis for a few years now and always had a good experience. The staff are friendly and they always get my car in right away.

I desperately needed new tires installed on my Terrain and I was able to get in first thing and get the tires installed, aligned and my brakes flushed. They were quick and thorough, but also very friendly! I feel like I m driving a brand new car and will definitely be going back to Mavis in the future. Thank you!

I worked as the asst manager for Mavis in my hometown (103) and I know how we operated. Nikki (also an AM) made sure than even as a walk in I was able to get my snows swapped over and get my Boyfriend from work on time! She was very accommodating to me and my service dog even! She was able to keep an eye on the shop and ensure I wasnt ignored or overlooked. The guys in the bays were quick, efficient and careful with the Mercedes also! My first time in Queensbury was last month and they fit me in for an emergency(my bearing went up) and I was able to go home and swap my bearing safely with knowlage of what was wrong with my vehicle. I appreciate all of the workers in this location!!! Keep up the good work! Youre all awesome!

Absolutely horrible experience. Will never go to mavis again. I purchased shocks and brakes from the queensbury branch. The shocks were installed wrong with the hardware upside down. They were rattling aound loose. I took it back that day and they fixed them. When i oicked the truck up i noticed the put a dent in my front fender. When i asked them to see the camera footage multiple times they say they will get it but never do. I am sure the camera shows the acident and they just dont want to pay to fix it. The next day i noticed me nee brakes squel. I took it back again. The looked at it and said they are good. I drove it home, they still squeal. I then got a flat tire a few days later (flat tire is not thier fault) whin i took the wheel off i found one of the studs was damaged from them cross threading the lug nut. Over all they screwed up Everything they did and wont own up to damaging my truck. Definitely not worth it. Dont risk sending your vehicle there. I sm left woth a truck that is worth less and now i need to redo the brakes i all ready paid for.

You need an appointment in order to replace your tires they are fast & respectful & professional.

After getting the runaround from other local tire stores who never received my online appointment request or order and/or didnt have equitable tires in stock or a convenient time available to install a set of tires, I found myself at Mavis. Although Mavis didnt have the exact tire I was looking for they did have a better tire. After an immediate $50 off coupon and a $100 mail in rebate on the tire, I ended up getting a better tire for less than I would have paid for the tire I originally wanted. To make the experience all the better, they were able to accommodate me as a walk-in and I was in and out in a half-hour. Also, while they did offer additional services, they were not pushy about it and accepted my declination without further ado. Will highly recommend in the future.

I was informed at my inspection that I would need tires prior to the winter months. After doing my research, this really was the best deal in town. I found Nicole to be very helpful and communicated each step of the process. This will be my go to for all repairs.

Took my car in for a tire balance and was told I needed a new inner and outer tierod and was quoted for roughly $800 not expecting that to be the issue I declined repair, had my original mechanic look at it the following day to tell me my tierod was not the issue it was actually my ball joint.... I understand that mistakes can be made but an $800 mistake is baffling !

My first trip to Mavis happened today. I hit a curb and took a chunk out of my tire. Panicked and frantically calling friends and family, I was Twice recommended to go to Mavis. They said the same thing. Youll be in and out in an hour. No one laughed at what I did, no one even blinked an eye. I was treated like a human, not like I was dumb, not like the next in line...like a valued human. The lady behind the desk was so sweet and funny. I was helped, and out in under an hour. Great service and fantastic team, went to two different shops to get an oil change and inspection kept being told no cant get it done or appointment only. Pulled up to Mavis had a 3 minute conversation and my car was in the shop getting everything I needed done.

I had a tire losing air and went to Mavis in Queensbury we took my vehicle right in and repaired the leak and I was soon on my way. The price was very reasonable and I will be taking my vehicle there from now on.

These guys were excellent! I was having a very hard time trying to get Midas off there a$$es to do an inspection (that I had an appointment for) on my car. After accidentally locking my keys in my car and not being able to get my inspection done I called Mavis and they were happy to have me walk in and get my inspection done. Highly recommend MAVIS (not Midas) for all your automobile needs.

My tire sensor was going off, mavis found the nail and patched the hole for $26. They even brought my car right around to the front door once when they finished. Me and my dad spoke to the tall brunette woman at the front desk, I unfortunately didn t get her name but she was incredibly kind and sweet. The whole thing was done in less than an hour with a few cars ahead of us, I didn t even call ahead. Best part was really the price and honesty. If I had taken my car back to the dealership or to Firestone I think they probably would ve kept it for the whole day and found a million other things wrong with it.

We were on vacation in the ADKs from DC and had an issue with our front wheel on Saturday. We were going to be driving home the next day and were worried that we wouldnt be able to get the car fixed over the weekend. Fortunately Mavis Discount Tire saw us right away and fixed our issue in a couple of hours. So we were able to resume our vacation activities and safely drive home the next day. Thank you!

took my car here about a month and a half ago. was told that for 1500$ my car would be fixed (brakes, calipers, and a noise in the front end) yes they did fix the brakes.....but thats it! my car is STILL making the same noise! called the office, was not helped, called customer support, who was supposed to call me back, NEVER did!!! dont waste your time or money!!!! essentially, i paid 1500$ for BRAKES! Edit: after speaking to the manager, the issue was resolved!

Came in because tire pressure light kept coming on, I could not find a reason, so I had to fill with air constantly, they found a small, embedded screw in the tire tread, they had the tire repaired in 15 minutes and I was in and out- excellent service!

Needed my valve stem replaced on my spare tire after it started leaking. The TPMS monitor I have hanging on the end of the valve was too much weight and it fatigued the rubber. They took care of it quickly and gave recommendations to keep it from happening again. Thanks Nikki!

Excellent and efficient! One of my tires was slowly losing air, took it here at noon and they had me back on the road before 12:30. No up sells or anything, just fixed the tire. Ill be using them in a few months when I get higher quality tires before winter.

I needed an inspection on Saturday and I was not able to get in anywhere. I called numerous locations and was told that they did not have any openings or said that they couldnt fit me in because they were working on Monday work. I called Mavis and spoke with a woman who told me that she would do her best to get my vehicle in as quickly as possible. I truly appreciate the accommodating and welcoming manner. I wish I wouldnt have wasted my time giving other shops a try. I feel that her customer service deserves to be recognized. Thank you to her and the techs! I will return and will be referring others as well.

Had a flat while on a road trip with a rental car on a Sunday. Not a great combination of events. This Mavis location was 2 hours from where we were, but the first place that was willing to work with us that day. We arrived in mid-afternoon and they fit us in quickly and got us out the door in less than 90m safe to travel with a smoother ride. Thanks!

I got a flat with my company car.After working with Mavis extensively in another part of N.Y. state...I knew they were the place to go.I explained to Nikki that I had to get back to work...and not only did she get the work done asap.She also gave me a very reasonable deal..I wouldnt entertain going anywhere else.

Terrible service

So I have my regular garage I go to, but it had slipped my mind that I needed an inspection, so I pulled into Mavis to see if they had time. I knew I needed tires but was hoping Id squeek by. Anyway, they had about a 30-minute wait, but they got my inspection done, and sure enough, I needed tires. They found me a rebate of over 300$ and had me done in a couple of hours. Fast forward to today... I woke up with a flat tire!! I was not happy! (Dont ask me which of the other 7 dwarves I was if I wasnt happy lol.)Anyway, I called Eric at Mavis, and they said bring it right in. I did have to pay for the tow, but they found the hole and plugged it- NO CHARGE. These guys are super friendly and care about their customers time and finances.

We had a flat tire on Sat am of Memorial Day weekend and luckily made it slowly to Mavis Discount Tire Shop in Queensbury using the cars tire sealant kit. The 5 star service started with a professional customer desk staffer who picked up my call and she confirmed they were open and busy, but could handle our Prius. We arrived @noon and by @1:30 they had fixed the flat (and gave us the screw they had pulled out) for less than $30 rather than selling us a new tire. Our vacation weekend was salvaged and we were very happy with the whole efficient operation. We highly recommend this Mavis team in Queensbury - fast, competent and fair!

Excellent customer service, great communication with scheduling appointment and follow up realignment which was under warranty (due to having front brakes/rotors changed the following week from an unrelated vendor). Service technicians were knowledgeable and provided accurate feedback on vehicles condition and additional repairs needed. Very satisfied with service provided.

Took my hybrid because it makes a rattle. The counter guy called it Electric so it dont have heat shelds. Funny it has 2 motors and a big heat sheld directly under it. I think if u work at a garage u should know the difference between a hybrid and electric.

I called on my way home from work hoping I could squeeze in for an oil change before they closed. They were happy to take me. I was there for 20 minutes the fastest oil change Ive had. Great quality service for a great price. Thank you guys!

My go-to for all of my vehicle services! The crew is always kind and explains thoroughly what needs to be done. I feel that they re honest and will explain the degree of the problem at hand- it doesn t feel like a push or a pitch. I feel safe and confident knowing that their work has always been reliable and they ve never pointed me in the wrong direction. I have gone to other local shops and end up getting burned, played, etc. This Mavis feels like a family-owned spot despite being a large corporation. I ll always come here for my maintenance or service recommendations. The new front counter girl is also super friendly!

Went to the shop and had my front tire changed since it s been leaking. I initially thought they would not take my car to fix since it is a Tesla Model Y and few shops would be willing to touch it based on what I read online. The process went smoothly. They ordered my new tire Wednesday, came back Saturday and they installed it in just 30 min to an hour. They did my tire rotation for free and at the same time my state inspection. I would definitely come back for my next tire change.

I originally went to Mavis for an alignment, I had no appointment and showed up 45 minutes before they closed. They got me right in and took great care of me and my vehicle. Since then I have been back a couple times for various reasons and they have always had great customer service and excellent quality of work! I wont go anywhere else ever again!!!

I had a bit of an issue with the power steering line on my vehicle, so I brought it to Mavis discount tire in Queensbury. Chris Garrison looked over my entire vehicle and thoroughly explained to me what was wrong and what he was going to do to fix it. The experience was handled very professionally and quickly, and all of the staff was extremely polite. What started out as a bad day turned into a good day thanks to them, and I will 100% be returning for future service.

I pulled in just before closing time with a screw in my tire. They took me right in, pulled the screw, plugged the hole and had me on my way. Professional, courtous, and fair price. A++ on all aspects.

One of the few places open on a Sunday but be prepared to wait. Had to go out and get the parts for them to work on my truck brakes. About 6 hours later, back on the road.

Shady mechanics who try to conceal when they damage your car when management is not there. Avoid here! Spent $1,400 on brake repairs and small fixes. They stripped a stud down and didn t put lug nut back on.. therefore when I went to get my car inspected shortly after elsewhere it would not pass at another shop due to missing a lug nut. Drove it back over to Mavis immediately, they tell me they re cleaning the stud and putting lug nut back on.. meanwhile my car is on a lift and they re busting out saws for an hour. I asked the front desk worker if something was wrong I would like to know because this made me nervous and I often have my infant son in my vehicle. I was told no nothing wrong . I was provided fraudulent documentation on their cleaning fix . Went back to Valvoline minutes after for inspection once again for their mechanic to laugh and to tell me they did not clean it they broke it and decided to cut off a few inches rather than replace it, illegal as the valvoline employees told me. I drive back over furious and tell them this and could hear nervous mechanics claiming wasn t me who broke it the initial time and blah blah and to properly repair it would be about a 4 hour ordeal. I brought it back the following day when their manager Dave assured me it would not take that long and it would be replaced. Will be filing a complaint with AGs office because god know what other unsafe practices take place with peoples vehicles when management isn t around.

Made two appointments for an inspection , the first time was 7/27/23 made an appointment for 4:30pm and when I came in the inspector went for lunch, the guys at the front desk tried to make it look like it was my mistake and that the appointment was at 4pm .And the second on I made an appointment for a day later and the guy on the phone offered me to come in at 11am and guess what happened when I came in... the inspector went for lunch . It is nice to know that appointments mean nothing to them ,they dont value and respect their customers time . This is one place I will not return to and I will definitely not recommend to anyone.

I stopped here to get my car inspected ask the service manager if I could get my tires rotated along with this I waited sitting patiently for the service manager to come back 2 hours went by and never came back out and waited on five or six other people two other couples left they got sick of waiting my car was brought in put up on the left for another hour it sat on the left and then I finally got sick of waiting told the service manager I wanted him to put the car back on the floor bring it back outside and Im going to take it somewhere else and have that inspection done so Im rading them at 1 star and never coming back to this place ever again and I dont think anybody else ought to .come to that place either

Everyone who I spoke with at this location was very helpful. I came in with a screw in my tire and needed a plug before driving down to NYC. Nikki was so helpful at the front desk and patient with me. She was clear about process, price and timing and she made the wait much more enjoyable. Great customer service!

They were absolutely awesome. I went in probably not long before they closed. They changed my tire quickly and the people were great. They were helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They must have had my car in and out with in a half hour going above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered. They even took the time to pop the hood to show me what I needed to know with other questions I had. Thank so much Mavis in Queensbury.

Not only did they take my vehicle in during an emergency, they were kind and so helpful as to have it ready for pick up in just a few short hours. Worth the drive coming from the North Country, will be back for service in the future!

Nothing could be done differently to improve our visit. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We were told a time the tires would be done and got a call 15 minutes early, saying everything was done and ready. We were extremely pressed for time and got done earlier than expected. I will definitely refer people to this location.

Another Philly native was behind the counter and hooked me up this summer when I blew a tire. Only place in the area with the right tire. Literally every other place told me to get a hotel room bc it was going to take that long. Bless you Philly- thank you!

Lazy incompetent staff that doesnt want to work

The Mechanic Mark who did my tires and alignment was professional and went above and beyond, as a woman going into any car place is intimidating to say the least, Eric the man at the front desk listened and was courteous and made my experience here amazing, great work great people and amazing prices as well, I wasnt upsold either Which is very much appreciated!!! I highly recommend going here if you need work done!

Very good place. The lady at desk was awesome. Very kind and straightforward. They warranteed my alignment for 90 days and were definitely knowledgeable too. Good place too go. They took care of my junk ford and got it driving better.

Update: from Original 1 star. So brought it back and they looked over it again and showed me that the caliper locked up and ate the pads away on the rear so as they states last time the rear was perfect as the right rear pads and rotor still look great. Just since the left locked up it ate away wickedly fast. Leaving 5 stars cause they show me what s wrong and explain the issue.

Stopped by Mavis for a flat repair when I noticed one of my tires had an air leak. Within 20 minutes they had diagnosed, repaired the leak (turned out there were two sources of the leak), and checked me out. Excellent customer service and support!

I came into Mavis Discount Tire today and they were extremely quick to repair my tires at a very affordable price. I definitely recommend them to anyone look for quick, affordable maintenance and good customer service!

They were AMAZING!!! I have bad anxiety and they made me feel so comfortable. They got me in and out within an hour after i called. I was in tears and they told me that they got me. Im their # 1 fan now.

They were able to plug the leaking tire on a Sunday afternoon without a delay. The shop is clean and apparently well organized.

Got a rim and 2 new front tires installed plus an alignment I was in and out in less than a half hour props to the techs at this establishment they tell you what you need without all the extra while youre here stuff this will be my tire shop for years to come p.s firestone didnt even tighten my lugs last time so make the right choice

Great Customer service got me back in the road again within 45 mins of it being brought in. And amazing customer service from Nikki at the front counter.

I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. If I could give it zero stars I would. I made an appointment. They called me and told me their inspection machine was down and they had to reschedule me- totally understandable. I go the next day for my 4:30pm appointment. They didn t even put my car on the lift until 6pm. I then get an email the next day saying Sorry you missed your appointment . Which tells me they never actually checked me in for my SCHEDULED appointment and treated me as a walk in. Not only will I never go back, I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.

I am extremely happy with the treatment Ive gotten at Mavis, and I have gone there ever since my car tire exploded, and they managed to get me in on a busy day, and get me new tires for a reasonable price that have lasted me quite some time. The people who man the phones are very professional and kind, and the mechanics are thorough, professional, and quick. Highly, highly recommended.

This location is literally the best, when they took care of my situation with my truck and addressed the problem, Dave and his staff were completely professional and most of courteous as well. Had a problem continuously with low tire pressure. Problem previously couldnt be found. They dug deeper into it and found there was a lot of corrosion Cleaned corrosion and replaced valve. So happy!!!!!! Been going there for years and will continue to do so!!!!! Thank you

I had a wonderful experience at the Queensbury location. A coworker recommended Mavis because they were speedy. They got in me in and out within an hour. I made the mistake of using aluminum valve caps and they corroded, and I was unable to get them off. I knew it was bad and I needed a professional! To complicate my issue even more I didn t have my wheel key so they had to remedy that issue as well. I highly recommend the Queensbury Mavis.

Took my car in for the TPMS system not working. They replaced a sensor but the problem persisted so they replaced a second sensor. Because they werent sure if both sensor were bad, they only charged me for one! Plus there was no mile long list of items my car needed. I do recommend Mavis in Queensbury!

Rdally great straight forward people

I ve been here a few times to have my car aligned, they warranty for 90 days which is awesome. Today I went in to have my tires balanced because my car had a shake. They did the fronts, I left and tried the highway and it still shook. I took it right back and they got me right in, went over the whole underside of my car looking for an answer and balanced the rears. Now my car has no shake and the guys here are awesome. They re kind, don t speak to a woman like she s got no idea what they re talking about and are very respectful of time and of the people. I will gladly keep coming here for any tire issues I have and plan on getting my new shoes through them too. Can t recommend them enough.
