Had an alignment done 3 weeks later my ball joint came apart from my control arm while driving in a snow storm no bolt no codder pin , then say it was my fault thier a joke tow companys wont tow there because their scumbags , if you take your car there your playing with your life an your money

I scheduled an appt for an oil change on a Sunday, showed up to the appt and was told that they don t have a technician to do the oil change. They stated that they called me, I had not received notification on my phone that they did. I told them it was fine, and I rescheduled for the following day Monday at 5:30 PM. I called Monday morning looking to see if I could have an earlier appt either 3:00 or 3:30 because I get off of work at 2 PM. The gentleman that I spoke with said that 3:00 PM would be perfect because they were not going to have a technician for my 5:30 PM appt. I arrived to the shop at 2:50 PM, and was immediately approached with an irritated tone of the gentleman working the front desk, stating that I was over an hour late for the appt. I tried to explain that I scheduled the appt for 3:00 PM, and that I would not schedule it for 2:00 PM because that is when I got off of work. He did tell me that I could still be seen, but by then I was already so uncomfortable. I tried to tell him that I was uncomfortable and frustrated with the situation, and tried to explain how I had originally made an appt for Sunday, but he cut me off and said what does that have to do with you getting your oil changed today . In the end, I left and I won t be returning which is sad because I had nothing but pleasant experience prior to this. I gave three stars because of all the other wonderful appts that I had.

It was done quickly

They where one of the only places open Memorial Day and I needed an oil change so I set one up they where very fast and nice I was in and out within an hr my car did start making a noise that I had not Hurd before the oil change but I guess it s just a pully they said

They were both very professional .got me in 15 minutes early. For only two working that day they were on the J O B. Clean & neat I would refer to friends and family. Good job guys.

They called me and cancelled my appointment the morning of my appointment and said I had to reschedule. So I did. When it came time for the second appointment they called and did the same thing to me the morning of. Now Im not going to be able to get my car inspected when it should be. No explanation why they cancelled on me. Im certainly not going to make a third appointment with them. You cant even get in the door.

The Queensbury Monro got me right in for a NYS vehicle safety inspection (call first!) without the hassle of the other no appointment needed facilities, who said one thing on the phone, and then another once I arrived. Thanks, Monro. Ill be back for other automotive services in the future.

Was out for the weekend with my wife for her birthday, the serpentine belt broke on our car, here we were stuck in Glens Falls, on one of the worst weather days (Snowing and blowing). And were from the Watertown area,Called to see if they could fix it. Roy said he had some cancellations and if I could get it there they would check it. Like I said it was very nasty outside, 03/23/2024. So after a 4 hour wait for a towtruck, finally got it there.but because it was so nasty out part parts people were not delivering. Roy was very professional and helpful, although nothing could be done that day ,Roy said if he could get the part tomorrow (Sunday). He would get it fixed so we could make our almost 4 hour journey back home. Once again the parts store would not deliver, so Roy took it upon himself to go get the part needed. Arrived from the Hotel we were forced to stay at and with in an hour we were on our way. Thank you so much to Roy and his guys for getting this done for us.well above and beyond. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. again thank you Roy

This was a tires install that I had purchased from Tire Rack online. The manager was able to get me in within 30 minutes of my call to him and the work was promptly done. Staff were friendly and courteous.

The greatest service ever

We do not recommend this shop to anyone!!! Yesterday we came in for an oil change and four new tires. We were told by Josh that the tires needed to be ordered and they would be here by 8am today (Thursday) at 8am. We arrived back at Monroe at 8am and were told the tires weren t in and they would be here by 10am. At 10am we arrived back at monroe again, and the tires STILL were not there. The assistant manger told us that the manager Josh had only been employed there about a week, and was horrible, and causing him so many issues. The assistant manger told us the ETA for the tires was 1:30pm. At that point we decided to get a refund and leave. We went to town fair tire (863 US9 in queensbury) and they were INCREDIBLE!! Top notch customer service. They had many different options in stock for us and did the all four tires right away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH JOSH OR MONROE. JUST GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE!!!

Excellent service and repair work at Queensbury Monro Shop

I went to Monro to get my brakes done. They needed to replace 1 rotor and my back brake pads for $667. I agreed. They came back and said I needed both calipers for an extra $300 on each side. At this time I couldnt do $1267. They replaced my old brakes and I left. My brakes were done, 2 rotors and back brakes. My calipers did not need to be replaced. Im so annoyed! Not even close to the cost they stated. Did they just not want to take the time, or?

I made an appoint for Monday morning for 0830, turns out everyone in the store quit and the corporate heads didn t know until after 2pm. So they sent someone from Albany to reschedule my appointment for another location in Ballston Spa Saturday. I arrive and waited 4 hours for someone to call and tell me they broke their tire machine didn t offer to reschedule or get me into another location. I go back to the location in queensbury and they were closed at 3pm because they lost power .don t waste your time with this company.

I the technician and the manager went over open recalls on my vehicle and the results of my state inspection. They were both extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. It was a flawless visit! I had bad vibration in the front end of my subaru they told me it would be a 3 to 4 hrs wait. It ended up being only 2.5 hours and they gave me a break on service. Chris and Levi were honest and did a great job fixing everything and keeping me safe. Queensbury NY location....kudos to you!

I never bring my car to the shop because I dread the whole process and not understanding what they are actually fixing or what is actually wrong with my car. I talked to 3 different people there and they were all so helpful. Even on my way out, someone who worked on my car stopped to give me some extra information. I definitely plan to bring my car here again in the future (hopefully not very often though!)

I booked an appointment for an inspection online last minute. I actually booked it at 145pm for a 2pm appointment. When i got there Evan told me he was unable to help me due to staffing issues and was more than helpful getting me in for the EARLIEST possible appointment the next day. When I came in the next morning at 730 he was at the desk ready for me. Both Evan and the tech were friendly and did a quick job. I will recommend this shop in the future because of my experience with Evan.

I m not sure why they are listed as being open til 7, I just got here at 6:05 pm to ask them to replace the valve stem on my tire, which is a quick job, and there is only one employee here and he states he has no tools and can t do it. My tire is losing air out the valve stem cap so this is pretty frustrating.

The reason I gave my visit a three star rating was I needed a lower ball joint and they refused my car and all because my bolt on my car was rusted. And hope I can still get good service with tires

We were able to book an appointment for a Saturday online to get a check engine light looked at. The gentleman was very courteous and ran the code then came to explain the particulars. It was a diesel emissions filter thing which was a soft code that wasnt immediately harmful to the car. The fella reset the code for us and sent us on our way, free of charge. Very grateful for their help!

To much drama to have 4 tires mounted on a weekend they jerked me around till Monday. On top of that they misplaced my custom valve caps so I would not recommend this business.

I was having tire problems and i called Monros at 7:30 in the morning and they got me right in and Scott the mechanic found the problem and fixed it for me within 10-15 minutes and i was out the door! Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease knowing i can travel Nack home 3 house safely with all my children! gooogle only lets you do 5 starts so i put 10 starts of my own!!!

Made an appointment for oil change for 9:00, the mechanic didn t even show up for work until 9:15, finished his cigarette before clocking in, took another 10 minutes before finally bringing my car in. The place is a disgusting mess with food containers on table, so unkept. I m not sure how they stay in business, I won t return here.

I was able to get in after noon on a Sunday and they had my car repaired before they closed. The person who helped me was nice and was able to get me a great price.

Dropped car off to get tires put on for 900 appointment in the morning. 330 in the afternoon car was not even looked at. They said it was first come first service. What a joke.

These guys are slammed 7 days a week (thats right... open 7 days a week). And why you ask.. they have many loyal customers. And why that is, is because they are honest and actually care about their customers. As a disabled Veteran I depend on my vehicle not only for myself to get to work and back bur also for my sense of freedom. When my car is being worked on by them, there are 0 concerns. I cannot say anymore about the place from the mechanics to the head office guys Ed and Mike. They set a bar so high that all other places, including the local dealerships, simply cannot come close too!

Dont recommend this place, go somewhere else. My husband made an appointment for 10am Saturday for an inspection and it is now 2pm on a Sunday and its still sitting there uninspected. We have to go pick it up now so he can use it for work on Monday. Zero services rendered and an entire weekend wasted waiting for a call (that never came) that his vehicle was ready for pickup. Unacceptable!

I have brought my place here for years and always been very happy. Until the past six months. First there was when I brought it in to replace the power steering hose. I had originally just asked for an estimate. I was then called and told they were putting it on before I was ever given a price. It needed to be done so I let it go but that rubbed me wrong. And then not even a week later it had turned out that something wasnt attached right and the power steering cut out while driving. And now last week I brought it in for inspection and oil change. My appointment was at 11:30, when I left they said an hour should be plenty. Well- I returned two hours later and it wasnt even taken in. Why did I make an appointment? I also dont believe my vehicle was fully inspected. Two days after this inspection my front brake pads pretty much fell off! How was this missed? We were on our way out of town and had to get it repaired before we could go home. Very disappointed and will be finding somewhere else to take my vehicles from now on. Will not risk the safety of my family.

Very quick service

Yes! This. Place. On the last day of my long weekend trip, the car starts making weird noises. I need to drive back to Boston but don t want to drive with this noise. The first place I tried said maybe they could squeeze me in by the end of the day, despite the fact that I d made an appt for 7am. Slightly panicked, I called Munro and the mechanic was so nice on the phone. He said I could come right over and he had me back on the road, problem solved, within 20 mins. (The heat shield had rusted out and come loose.) I can t recommend this place highly enough.

I wont ever go here again. First off they damaged my hood as they broke a piece and it wouldnt open properly and the worst part is they didnt even take responsibility for it. Prices are very expensive for just an okay job. Went there recently for a strange noise coming from under my hood and was quoted $1,000 dollars for an alternator belt and it was only an idler pully $230 dollars. Always go with your gut feeling and get a second opinion, if it feels like a scam it probably is. I wouldnt recommend going here, ever.

Brought my car in to get my valve cover gasket replaced and my tires changed. Didn t have the valve cover gasket in stock, so they ordered it said it would be in 3-5 business days. I called back 5 days later, said the part wasn t in yet they would call and locate it and call me back. Called a couple times again and they kept saying the would call me back they never did. Very unprofessional people to go to. Going on almost a month, and still no phone call. But, I went elsewhere to get it replaced.

I called to have a 32 ft travel trailer state inspection done. I got it in on the same day and it was taken care of in minutes. Great place!

They were so wonderful!! I ran over a piece of construction equipment that fell off a construction truck and was driving here from out of state. I was referred here by family to see Mike. I called and he took me in that day, lifted my car to access the damage and determined if it was safely drivable back to the other state. He found various items that were damaged and gave me advice for having it inspected when I got home. He was very attentive, gave me 40 mins of his time right away and helped me out tremendously. On time and fair price

If you have a vehicle that you value, I would seriously think twice about bringing it to this particular Monroe Muffler. I realize that Monroe is a franchised operation and their service will vary depending upon which location you choose. But be advised, this particular service station seems VERY shoddy and definitely mismanaged. I called early for a simple oil/filter change. I was told, my 8 oclock didnt show so come right over! So half asleep, I threw on a coat and rushed over there and gave the manager my keys. 8:00 . . . 8:30 . . . 9:00 . . . 9:30 . . . . car is still sitting parked in the lot with no sign of any mechanic going near it. So after having a few choice words with the manager and expressing my displeasure, I asked for my keys and left. What a way to start the day!! We wont even get into the dirty and uncomfortable waiting room which was a damp 48°! There were a few other choice things I experienced there but I think you get the drift.

In and out fast to swap tires and have them mounted and balanced.

We had a caliper rip through our wheel around 5:00 on Good Friday. Called around and this was the only place that said I could bring it to them after 6 PM. By the time the tow truck arrived and got our vehicle loaded and delivered it was almost 7. They stayed well past closing time trying to get us fixed up that night but there were no open parts stores so they got us on the road first thing the next day. They even gave us a ride to our hotel and charged us an incredibly reasonable amount for their labor. I highly recommend them, hopefully I wont need them again, since I live in Buffalo but if I do they will be the first place I call.

Ridiculous prices

They had my truck for 3 days after telling me they could do it that day. Cost me $700 to fix break line and got it back in worse shape than when I brought it in. Now I have to take it to Midas to have them fix what Munro messed up.

After going one other place, we decided on Monro. The other place told us we needed a tire and maybe back brakes tops. All we had Monro do was put a tire on and inspect it. and then were told $900 worth of work needed to be done here we are 4 months later still with no vehicle on the road weve lost thousands of dollars and work because of this I really wish we were offered a chance to fix what they screwed up

Took in our 2011 Chevy 2500HD to have new tires mounted and balanced. Truck came out with a pressure crack in the drivers side of the windshield. Talked to the manager seemed nice enough told us he didnt understand how it could have cracked. Said well we only put it on the lift. But i can at least help you out with the inspection even with the cracked windshield. He new the windshield wasnt damaged before it went in. He told us at his level he wasnt allowed to just pay for the repair. He gave us the customer service number and told us to contact them. Never once went and got the 32 point inspection checklist that customer service says NOW exists. So long story short. My truck has a pressure crack in the windshield that Monroe doesn t want to pay for. So I will NEVER be going to them again. I truly hope that they dont damage anyone else newer vehicles because the manager clearly wont own up to the damage and Monroe wont cover the loss. So at the cost of having a windshield replaced they just lost a customer permanently and word of mouth.

I took my Range Rover to Monro Muffler on Quaker rd and the guys could not fix the electrical problem but I appreciate the effort. The two guys took the time to check my battery and alternator and then referred me to a local independent shop who could fix it. Thanks guys!!!

So about 6+ months ago I went to this Monro with a leaking gasket on my exhaust. They told me it was leaking because the Catalytic Converter was clogged. Im immediately concerned because it had been replaced 3 years prior by the dealer Id bought the car from since it blew under warranty. They assured me that the dealer must have replaced the back Catalytic Converter and that its now the front one that needs replacing, but the part is manufacturer only. Im already expecting it to be an expensive fix so I request there expert opinions on what I should do if I cant afford to fix it right away and they assured me again that it would be fine to drive in the mean time, it just wont be able to get inspected. So I called Honda for a quote and they wanted $1,400 for just the part & I looked online all over for an aftermarket Front Catalytic Converter to no prevail. Due to the outrageous price Honda was trying to charge I couldnt afford to fix it yet but still needed to drive. About a week ago, the car started misfiring and I was right in front of Warren Tire on Warren Street in Glens Falls so I pulled in there to have them look at it. They told me that the issue was because of the Catalytic Converter and quoted me $651 for an aftermarket converter plus labor combined. Upon removing it I noticed that it was the same one the dealer put on originally, so I asked the guy at Warren Tire and he told me that my car only had one converter on it the whole time! Unfortunately, due to driving with the clogged converter my exhaust valves in my engine burned out so it was too late to replace the converter & im out $3,000 thanks to the misinformation provided to me by the experts at Monro. After finding this out I decided to call Monro just to explain what happened and find out how they could have let me believe I had two converters on my vehicle and that the front one was only available from the manufacturer. They guy on the phone simply put it, If our supplier doesnt have a part, we usually recommend you go to the manufacturer, we arent gonna put on somebody elses parts. In regards to my question about why they told me there were two converters on my car he said, we must have been misinformed. Prior to this, id had $1,000s worth of repairs done on my cars by Monro and I believed them to be trustworthy too; however, they did just so happened to be out of windshield wiper fluid every time I got an oil change -_-.

Excellent customer service, friendly, showed me the problem on my vehicle and explained, comfortable environment for waiting. Monro has always been honest and these folks really seem to care! Highly recommend.

I went in with an appointment for an inspection. The appointment was for 3:30. I arrived at 3:15. They took my car in half an hour later. At 4:30 they told me I needed tires. At 4:45 they told me I needed a windshield wiper. The car is a leese with 32,000 miles. At 5 pm I asked how much longer it would be and started to hang out by the window that looks into the garage. The tires were not even started. Another car was being worked on. I explained that I had another appointment and the car was done in about fifteen minutes for $300+. The waiting room is crude and cold and the employees are less than accomidating. I wont go back.

I stopped in today with no appointment and they got me right in. I met the new store manager Steve he was very nice and focused on the service. The got my car done quickly and updated me on the condition of my car. I will be back again and tell all my friend to go see Steve and his crew for old fashioned quality customer service.
