Also went to view a truck one day set up an appointment and they had the truck at the detail shop 10 mins down the road. Vehicle quality seems ok and the people are nice but the website sucks

This place is a joke! Drove three hours after saying approved to get there and they say no, you re not! The sales associate didn t care we drove three hours after saying 100% approved! TERRIBLE. I am deleting my old review. I bought a car LESS THAN 8 months ago and the engine blew after I brought it back for the check engine light being on 2 days after I bought it. They said they fixed it but it came back on and now they suddenly don t have ANY record of me being there to get it fixed. Don t waste your money. Terrible business that are just selling lemons for cars. Highly disappointed.

Needed a car desperately had little down they got me a 2015 jeep compass .It was the quickest sale ,but no test drive I have had it 4 months and overheats wont start if its wet at all ,window wont go up on driver side . Apparently has electrical issues there was no talk of any warranty I have missed so much work due to its issues. Not happy

I have been checking out alot of car dealerships that seem to have good deals on thier inventory. I figured why not...that time of the year! Well I had finally set up an appointment and made my way to The Car Shoppe in Queensbury. Now I read the reviews and the raves about this place, so figured why not check it out? First I messaged them and they responded and said they had a $5 deal down going on and can work with various credits and would guaranteeto get me in a vehicle. Right there, i really dyarted to be skeptical! Now I already knew my credit isnt bad and I follow it completely. With that being said I had arrived after over an hour drive to get there and they first off ran a hard inquiry on my credit check before I even told them if I was interested in even financing through them. Second I walked around and chose a low costing vehicle you know. Around a $15000 vehicle tops. Had roughly 60, 000 miles on it. He first asked what kind of deal I heard about and I kept quiet and said I heard you had different alternatives to help. He said oh yes we do....Now he had come back and said they needed a $5000 deposit down on this particular vehicle. I looked and I laughed and said no thank you. I had it, but was not going to out that much down on that kind of vehicle. Ive had brand new vehicles that I never even had to put that absorb amount on a vehicle. I know the most is usually 10% of the total cost. I want to let people know dont let them reel you in with thier advertising and thier automatic text system because they are scammers from the start. Its horrible for a dealership to take advantage of people when they are thier lowest. If you were to finance a vehicle I would definitely recommend Carmax or Car gurus. They are awesome!!! I wouldnt even gave them a start but I had to be able to post this for you to see and know about.

And did everything in his power and absolutely kept his word guaranteeing I would get into the vehicle, without a major down payment! Hello , I bought a used 2016 WRX STI . They are crooks here for cars like this . For one , after the car had issues 9 days into purchase , they gave me a hard time about bringing it in to get serviced . The check engine light started flashing ( yes on day 9) Don t you know within 2 months of ownership the cars engine blew up . The dealership won t accommodate and they claim they have never sold me a car to the bbb. I took it to a mechanic (the engine blew 3 years ago and I m still paying on it ) and they checked out cyl 3 . It was completely burnt out for at least 40k miles he said . Mind you I only was ever to 15k on the car . I would recommend not going here for anything tbh. They will rob you . Oh yea Dave your a thief my boy

Horrible buying experience here. My husband bought a 2014 express Dodge Ram and the dealership stated they would drop the vehicle off to us. Fine. We waited seven hours on a porch waiting for our truck. They had us under the impression they were giving us our truck that day because they told us to take OUR car off the road. THEY NEVER SHOWED after we just spent $20,000 never even called to tell us they weren t coming. Then we get the truck with no registration in the window. No paper work. NOTHING. This was one month ago. Then my Husbands truck battery starts to go. No big deal. Go down to get it tested to find out ITS THE WRONG BATTERY. They had a CAR BATTERY in our TRUCK .. the car battery had 590 cranking amps. Our truck requires ATLEAST 700 cold cranking amps to function properly. Don t buy from this mom and pop shop. These reviews are CORRECT. None of the tires are balanced. They didn t even care. The whole experience was horrible, never again. Save your time and money, go somewhere else.

Bought my car a bit over a month ago, was fine for the first few days but was sounding funny then would completely stop working. Took about that entire month after complaining and getting it looked at for it to get fixed, that was after it was looked at about 5 times and spending a week in the shop for nothing to change and be told nothing was wrong. Finally got it fixed and they tried saying we didn t bring it back in time or at all and wanted us to pay about $500 for repairs even tho thats how i got it. They like to sell defective cars and expect ppl to pay for the repairs instead of just making sure its fixed to begin with. Their auto shops are very incompetent, they cant even notice an oil change message or the autostart being broken on the dash screen even when you tell them what s wrong and needs to be fixed. It took my boyfriend and google to find out it was the throttle body thats broke instead of them just doing their job. Wouldn t even take the car back so im just taking my business elsewhere

I dealt with Ron and Kiera they were very nice to deal with, but the service is terrible The service at the car dealership was incredibly disappointing. The service team looks to be under staffed and over worked for a 2 bay service area. They seemed uninterested and unhelpful, taking far too long to address even basic questions. Communication was poor, and I felt like I had to constantly follow up just to get updates on my vehicle. It was frustrating to feel like my concerns weren t taken seriously, and the overall experience was unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. Future buyers please don t hesitate to escalate to the attorney general if your not getting adequate responses from the service or sales team.

This place, specially Jared Cusma, are lairs and frauds. Told me to my face that what my warranty was 2 years 24,000 miles. Had my 2020 Chevy blazer for just over 3 months before the stirring assistance reduced light came on. So bringing it to the service shop I find out that they gave me a 3 month 3,000 mile warranty instead!!! My question is, why tell someone to their face and then write something different and not tell the person to their face the change. My fault for not reading the fine print. ( what if I had a disability and couldn t properly read that fine print). And they drag your credit down by going through at least 10 banks to get approved. Making your credit ridiculously low by the end of the deal!! Don t waste your time or your hard working money at this place!!!!!!!

These guys suck. Talk to one on the phone that told me I was approved up to 28000, 5$ down. I drive 2 1/2 hours to get there and told nope cant get anything without a 5000 down payment. Way to completely lie over the phone. Plus my credit got pulled hours ago but he will tell you they dont do it until you get there. Real winners these guys.

BUYER BEWARE BELIEVE ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS I wanted to set up an appointment to see a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon listed on the website. Was aggressively pursued and told things like need nothing more than $5 after repeated attempts to explain I have no extra money for upfront costs. I missed my first forced appt and after several follow-up messages made another appt after being told they had the vehicle all set to go and they would hold the vehicle for me a week until I could make it in to see it. Despite the appointment, no one was prepared to meet me, and the vehicle was not as described. Even had something metal sticking out of a tire that when brought to their attention only seemed to cause an issue with one of the employees. After waiting for 35 minutes without any assistance, the staff seemed unhelpful and dismissive to my friend and my 12 year old daughter when they went in to remind them we were there, so I made my way to the nearest sales person and stated Id make an appt for another time when they were not so busy, as I walked away I was stopped by an aggressive and unprofessional employee and told if I would like, someone would be right there to help, that there were only 2 people working which was obviously not true, When I attempted to discuss the vehicle with a salesman he directed to get up and come help me after returning again from the lot, I was met quickly with increasingly more hostile and unprofessional behavior from what I can only assume was the sales manager shortly into my conversation with the salesman culminating in a public outburst informing me in front of another customer that seemed to be just returning from their own test drive that he was working with, that all cars arent even looked at or worked on until sold and I was only there to qualify as being able to finance the vehicle not to look at or be able test drive any vehicle. And that I should expect a doctor office type experience when setting an appointment where you will be handle whenever they decide is appropriate . I could only laugh out loud as I tried to calmly walk back to my car as he loudly professed that apparently they couldnt do anything to make me happy and to have a nice day! across the entire showroom area I was already out the door. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I had referred 3 people to them after having a decent experience looking at a jeep about 2 years ago that ultimately we did not sign a deal on. But definitely would not recommend currently I have decided to not post any photos or video at this time, to allow the company time to respond but will update in a few weeks with whatever if any resolution, this may hopefully bring. This place will waste your time. I had 3 vehicles I was going to look at yesterday. Got a text from Nick about the 5$ down bullcrap. Asked plenty of questions before I even came in to make sure it wouldn t be a waste of my time, and so I canceled seeing the other vehicles. Drove an hour plus out of my way just to be told I was denied. No shit that s why I asked so many questions so you wouldn t waste my time. Didn t even get an apology. They don t care about you they care about selling vehicles and will tell you anything you want to hear to sell you anything they can.

Junk cars . Way overpriced but thats what guaranteed financing gets you. Sold my sister a used car not even in the shop and checked yet. Made her put more down and sacrafice the warranty to get payments that were still stupid high. 18k for a 4k car on fb all day. Told her to keep her car and not go there but salesman sold her. Check engine light on first week. Lost car for 2 weeks. Got back and light on for something diff they say 3 days later. Car has been back to shop and others total of 11 times and another 2k out of pocket in less than a year!!!! Currently uninspectable with catalytic convertor codes now and they refuse to help! Car is junk less than 1 year into the 5 year loan.They want to sell her a warranty now. Place is a scam. Said they would fix rust spots too. Car had spray paint over rust spots that was running down trunk and rocker. I met with the salesman and manager. Typical bait and switch bs. Also know of 2 others who bought there and had to sell vehicle for less than owned and eat it because of so many issues. The guaranteed approval is tempting but its 21 percent interest for junk cars bought at auction that are literally 5 times the kbb price. Be warned!!!! Update... your response is the same generic one you give everyone..she has been calling and leaving messages for 3 weeks!!!! Her car is parked.because it needs 7k worth of repairs and hasnt even had it for 7 months!!! Dont lie to people on here! You and the manager do nothing but lie to people to get them to sign into overpriced and abused junk. Everyone knows most used cars come from auction. no duh. You know exactly what people mean when they say you get the REAL junk and sell it for 10 times its value. Stop already. Don t do it !

First off I will give them credit for being personable and polite! They also turned my vehicle around in 1 day! However, after paying over $430 the problem came back in two days! Unfortunately, I was in the area on vacation and couldn t bring it back and see if they would honor their repair ! I left two days later and the ABS, controltrac, warning light came back on! They said it was the wheel bearing and they replaced it! Just maybe they should have checked the other one ! Expensive repair for it come back!

By far one of the worst dealerships I have ever delt with. Yes they were the only place that was able to get me into a vehicle, that is literally the only positive thing about them. I purchased a truck from them went to the dealership on a Saturday morning. I test drove the truck and decided to go for it seeing I needed a reliable vehicle for work and they already said that I was good to go. My salesman drew up the paperwork and asked when I was picking it up, Friday or the following Saturday was my plan for pick up. The salesman responded that will be good, it will give us time to get everything taken care of ( tailgate issues, and back up camera). Before leaving he suggested they can drop off the truck during the week to save me the almost 2 hour trip. Obviously I thought that was an amazing suggested and thought wow this place is great!!! I was not home when it was dropped off to my residence and my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. First off they left the truck window rolled all the way down, they did not clean the truck out whatsoever there was a french fry under the seat, the carpets were a mess, seats and dash were dirty, windows filthy, there were papers in the glovebox, which I knew were there when I test drove the truck so I knew they werent just recently accidently left by the tow truck driver, there was a new scuff mark going down the whole passenger side of the truck which I had to spend over an hour buffing out, and the tailgate issue that they apparently took care of was not taken care of it still falls down frequently. If the dealership did what any other dealer has done when I purchased a vehicle and ran the Vin to check for recalls they would see that there is a recall for my truck for said issue. Trying to get ahold of the salesman after they got paid from the bank is impossible. I would not recommend this place unless you are in very desperate need and have exhausted all your options.

Hey yall! I take back my 5 star rating and previous comment: Unbelievable inventory and service. We almost chose an older car but ended up getting a much newer one at just a few hundred more. In addition, they helped us get great financing with wait for it NO MONEY DOWN! I ll be back for our second vehicle very soon. No more than two weeks went by and it over heated (coolant system issues). Took it back and they fixed it and had to put a while new engine in (supposedly, I never got the pager work from the engine they put in so its a lie). A week later, day one of the heat wave, not only did it over heat again, but the motor for the AC/heat went. They fixed it again, allegedly. The day off my sons graduation it over heated again. 3 strikes under the lemon law. I go to pick a new vehicle and found a 2020 Ford explorer with @75,000 miles on it, booked at about $21,000. Why The Car Shoppe tried to sell it to me for $30,000! Shame on them because I came twice with my elderly mother who needs oxygen, but they want to beat me. Now I have no car and my credit ratings dropped a lot, messing up my chances to get another car. Now I see why I got that lemon so easily.

Honestly I received 2 very HORRIBLE cars from here! Got my first car(2018 Ford Escape) in October from the shop in Malta. Bought the car on a Friday by Saturday the car was smoking clouds out the exhaust, shaking while idle, and engine shutting down WHILE DRIVING! I took that car back about 3 times the first time they changed the spark plugs and that lasted for about a week before the same issue occurred again. They had my car in their shop more than I was able to drive it! After getting it fixed again I drove to Buffalo for a family wedding and on the way there the car started struggling to start and smoking out the exhaust. I was able to get back home but by the time I got back to Albany huge whitish grey clouds of smoke was coming out the exhaust and the car was overheating. After the car being at the Malta shop for over 3 weeks, I was then offered a GMC Terrain from the Queensbury shop. By November the car had to be replaced. OH! And I was told we forgot to check this car before selling it to you. Well this 2017 GMC Terrain is honestly just as bad. Since December I ve had to get an oil change every month! Since February I ve had to get an oil change almost every 2-3wks. Each time the car would start shaking while idle, smoking out the exhaust, and struggling to start. I was told by the service shop in Queensbury oh that s just what GMC s do or Terrains are just bad cars even off the lot How does that make sense? If their lot is full of Terrains that are waiting to be sold. I ve literally been struggling with transportation since the beginning of October. These cars have been in the shop EVERY month since October. I took the car back for service every month for an oil change and every single time they failed to actually look for the problem. Like why would you sell cars that have to be serviced every month? All these months went by of having to spend money on Ubers and Lyfts just to keep my job. Every month needing to worry about transportation. Every month having to pay to get this car towed to Queensbury or when I couldn t afford it, driving it up there in a condition the car shouldn t even be in! Because it was clear I was being lied to and the staff clearly didn t want to actually check the car, I took the car to the actual GMC dealership. Well they were able to find the problem (gas mixing in with my oil along with other things) and they thoroughly explained what the issue was and what can be fixed. Basically every other shop I ve brought the car to, stated I should have never been sold this car and at any point this car could have blown up while driving it. And on top of that, I now have to pay $1,600 to get the car back on the road, after not being able to afford or drive this thing for the past 3 consecutive months! I m literally making monthly loan payments on 1. a car that can t even get be from point A to B and 2. I understand it s a used car but it s absolutely trifling to sell people cars that won t even last an entire month. Safe to say I will not be recommending anyone!

I purchased a 2019 Ford escape with 83000, the price was $26K, way too much Im finding out, the car shoppe service dept is awful, I need a purge value about a month after my purchase, I had a power train warranty which I paid $2000 for, car shoppe , Nick gave me the runaround with the part being on backorder, went thru this for a month or two, then went to another repair shop and got the purge value put in, paid for it out of my pocket around $500. Here it is 2 years later I havent heard anything more about it from the car shoppe. I dropped my escape off for free oil change, I picked my escape up the next evening, my son checked the oil and stated to me the oil was never changed so I now know I cant trust their service. I got so very ripped off about $10-15K ripoff on my escape, cuz now I still owe $20K on it and its value isnt even $10k, so you tell me that something isnt wrong with this CAR SHOPPE, BOTH SALES AND SERVICE. THIS KIND OF BUSINESS PRACTICES SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED

Sad. Bought our second vehicle here and had the absolute worst experience. My husband went the day before to pick out the vehicle he wanted. I get there today to sign paperwork as the co-applicant did not agree with the numbers and had the male sales manager get very aggressive with me over $500. The $500 was the cash voucher they offered towards a down payment . This guy takes it upon himself to put the $500 towards the trade value instead of the down payment aka money out of pocket. When I questioned it, this pathetic excuse for a man decides to want to charge out of his office and start attacking me. Telling me he s not changing the numbers, if I don t like it I can go back home, so on and so forth. Talking over me, to the point I couldn t even finish my sentence. I knew how bad my husband wanted this new vehicle so I signed anyway. After I exit the building, this douche bag decides to look at my husband and say, told you I d get you in that vehicle . Hope you have a daughter and a man treats your daughter the way you treated me. KARMA PS. Jared is amazing. Fire the has been and upgrade to the good guy. Jared - thank you for being so kind and being such a great person. If it wasn t for you, we would have gone else where.

I waited a year to review. We bought a 2010 jeep wrangler in April or 2021. Its been the best vehicle Ive ever owned. The finance process was a bit sticky but they got it done! The staff was friendly and after a year I can say they were honest and fair. Would absolutely buy from them again. Edit- almost 3 years since I bought the Jeep. Still no issues and still an excellent vehicle!

I showed up to look for a car. Normally you dont want to be harassed but NOONE helped me. Then I noticed one of their cars for sale had a flat tire and sitting on the rim, I immediately let them know and noone came out the whole time I was there, when I walked in to the shop to notify them two people(a male and female) were sitting there doing nothing!! I also checked some of their cars and the pics online are not when u go there. The shocks on some too were rusted in which means more $$ for labor down the line when they need to be replaced. Wont get a car here!

The car shoppe is the best place to buy a car. I glided in their with my car and it died. They still took the trade and not only found me a payment plan that would work but gave me with my son and grandson a ride home all the way back to Broadalbin. I love my car! I haven t had one problem with it in the 2 years I have had it. I bought a Dodge Journey Rt 2013. If I ever need another car I will only go to The Car Shoppe.

The owner sold me a truck private sale with a bad motor. My suspicions are that he knew it was bad so he didnt put it on his lot where it can legally be tied to this business, so he offered it up privately. BEWARE.

If I could do a negative review I would I bought a Hyundai from them I put more money into the car then what I am paying for the thing problem after problem with the thing oh and also when they text me to ask how I liked my car and the dealer ship I gave a -1 they didnt have anything to say this place is a joke

Id give zero if I could. They literally sold us a lemon. Something major has broken at least every few months. We are paying about 10k for it, and have now put that much into it in repairs this past year alone. There are so many things I can say about these people, but i dont have the energy. Reading all the other reviews makes me sad to see thst my story is quite common. All the amazing reviews seem to have been bought. DO NOT BUT A CAR FROM HERE!

Lol, still waiting on that $200 for the referral haha. Honestly all their cars are junk but if you have bad credit they will get you approved but honestly if you can avoid them. Unprofessional, can t even seem to spell their own name correctly when they contact you and Yeahh their cars are overpriced for what they are but Heyy beggars can t be choosers. Sure would try to avoid if you can. I repeat, AVOID if possible. There are way better dealerships around.

WORST PLACE!! Read whole thing! Highly recommend! Jared helped me and my fiancé buy a truck. Everything went smooth and quickly. Very happy with the service Jared provided. EDITED: When we brought the truck we had a great experience. When we when back in to buy a second car. The experience was horrible! I felt the entire time I was being interrogated about my income and job. Car wasn t ready when promised. I also gave a referral card and the person who referred me never got the $200 check. Very disappointed. EDIT: I have owned my car for 5 months. Have been having problems for months and couldn t get them to call me back about them. Now I have a $500 bill for a new alternator in which I was told well you bought a used car . Had they listened and called me back when I was calling months ago this would have been covered now it s not. Convenient!
