Do not bring a newer car here for an oil change. I went in for one and the tech said he was being rushed by the manager to finish, and complained about my skid plate being a pain to remove. I didn t think anything of it and just apologized it was rough. When I got home, I had to buy wiper fluid because they didn t refill it. I then noticed there was a nest made by some animal that wasn t removed or mentioned, so I went back, assuming no one even looked under my hood. All the manager did was check the dipstick to see there was oil on it. When I went to Valvoline for my next oil change, they said they couldn t work on my car because they had to break the skid plate completely and replace it in order to change my oil. I called East Greenbush auto center and they brushed it off and also told me in order to fix it I have to drive there (I live 50 mins away now,) pay out-of-pocket for the damages, and I can only be reimbursed immediately if it s under $500. They refused to let me file a claim at the location closer to me. I m not understanding why any Walmart can t help. I haven t been able to make it because of work and living so far, and have plans to bring it to another place where I trust they will fix it, but in the meantime, my engine has seized up. Now I am under the impression my oil was maybe only topped off that day, if I was lucky, and that this tech basically did nothing to my car. The annoying part is the manager was the one rushing the tech to go to lunch. Then why did you take appointments at that time? Now I have to pay for all of these damages out-of-pocket and this company won t even offer as much as a refund. $60 for little or no oil, no washer fluid, no vacuum (they said I declined,) a damaged skid plate. Thanks a lot.

Don t bother making an appt here you ll still be waiting over an hour cause they prioritize walk ins before appts. Lady at the front counter is cool but the men working on the cars are less than competent when it comes to time management.

The people working upfront are super rude and totally unprofessional. Ive had to come here so many times because of their mistakes. They could at least be more polite!

I called to make an appt & they had an opening within the week. Once I arrived I was immediately greeted by a mechanic. I checked in at the desk & they started working on my car shortly after. I browsed the store while they worked. They called me once the work was complete.Appt at 9am & was out by 10:15.

I called about a spare tire i brought from them that i have a warrenty for they guy wouldnt tell me his name who i was speaking to i ask to speak to his supervisor he hung the phone up on me i called customer service who put me thru to the manage come to find out the auto employee name is BILL very disrespectful

Lifetime tire balance would be excellent if they could actually balance a tire. Post installation of 4 new tires, my steering wheel would shake at >60 MPH. Brought it to another Walmart location and requested a re-balance. Same deal. Suspected worn tire rods and replaced them, paid for another alignment, same deal. Brought it to a reputable East Greenbush route 9 & 20 business, and they found a tire off by 4 oz! They balanced it for me, and Ive had no trouble since. This cost me a lot of time, money, and hassle. Although the Walmart staff was friendly and professional, I dont know if their equipment or lack of training is to blame. I would not risk going there again.

Tire change service. Great early morning customer service. Customer rep was very helpful and cheerful. Technicians worked efficiently to get me in/out asap.

One particular man there tall with a ball head, ruins my experience everytime. He has an attitude and is extremely rude. Everyone else is amazing.

Tracey in auto care gives poor customer service and is disrespectful; at least to. I felt disrespected and disregarded. But lets be blunt who cares...

2 hour wait for a basic oil change and a patch on my tire. This was with only 2 people in front of me. I get waiting when its busy, but waiting this logn when its not is rediculous.

I went there for oil change and tire rotation. They did okay job. I had to tell them what way the tire rotation should be,but thats fine because they did exactly what I told them. Just one big draw back is they take very long doing so. They almost took 1.5 hr.

Ive had tires installed here ,many times. They did a good job mounting them. You get what you pay for. If youre unhappy with it, go spend twice as much somewhere else. Like buying a Ferrari at the Kia dealership.

Would give 0 stars if I could. My front tires were all worn out that wouldn t pass the inspection and my rear ones were still doing fine. Ordered 2 new tires online to get my front ones replaced. Went to the auto care one day to tell the service writer I want the FRONT ones replaced and told me it would take an hour to 90 minutes. Ended up taking 2.5 hours and when I saw my car coming out of the shop, I asked the mechanic if he took care of my front tires, he told me no, the back ones got replaced. Went back to check on the tires with the mechanic and saw that my good tires in the rear were replaced with new ones and my front still hanging onto the bad ones. He took my car back into the shop, took an extra 30 minutes until my car was finally out. Even though the new tires came with lifetime balance/rotation ($12 per tire), After replacing my tires, my handles started shaking when driving on a highway. Went to get rotation/balance a week later and told the same service writer my handles started shaking after I got my tires changed. He DENIED the fact and told me I would have to wait 6 hours to get my car in the shop. So I called a different mechanic, told them what happened, and when they balanced my tires, I was told that one of the tires were 2 oz off balance. WOW. I guess you get what you paid at Walmart. These guys definitely don t care about your car or their service.

Needed a replacement tire specified at least 3 times it was the rear driver side tire that needed to be replaced. Went and picked it up didnt think anything of it - guess I should have checked but seemed like something anyone with even the smallest IQ could have handled - but the next morning I see my tire is flat again I realized they CHANGED THE WRONG TIRE. TEN PHONE CALLS later over a 6 hour period I FINALLY get in touch with someone in the auto department. They replaced the correct tire at no cost but was a huge inconvenience for something that should have never happened.

They say it is close at 7pm, I got there 6:15 and they said can t change my tires because they are closing soon. I had the tires in the backseat of my car. I got there as soon as from work. I went inside and they where doing nothing.

Came in to get two new tires put on, they said they could get me right in when I called. I dropped it off and in two hours they call and say they have an issue and I need to come in. Upon arrival they say a lugnut won t come off so they can t handle it and it is policy.... but the other Walmart I got it done at needs to handle it because they are the cause. So after two hours they did an oil change. Total waste of time, skip this one.

Poor service felt ignored waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there. If it wasnt for a sales clerk from another department who helped me I think I would still be waiting.

Terrible asked if they would be done by a certain time they said yes then quoted a completely different time. Then gave attitude when asking for my keys back because I have to get to work.

I love those guys. They are honest, courteous, and quick. I always think Walmart in East Greenbush first when something goes wrong with my car. And the price is always fair.

Everyone in this department was very friendly! I got towed in from getting a flat and had to have a new tire installed. When my car was ready it was dark outside, the auto center was closing, and I had my infant son with me. One of the employees shut the garage so my car could warm up and I could safely put my groceries and my son in the backseat. When I was done, he opened the door again and watched me back out so I was safe!

Excellent service! Employees work hard to help and satisfy everyone fairly on a first come first serve basis. Bought new tires. Excellent price and quality. I will definitely go back for next set of tires.

I called several weeks ago asking how late I coukd come in for an oil change on 12/21. I m told 5:30 or 6ish. I arrive tonight (12/21) at 5:20 and walk in. Guy at counter looks at me and starts shaking his head (appears in disgust) and says, can I help you with something? while looking at me with what appears to be an annoyed look. I say, Can I get an oil change? He looks at his computer and while appearing to be distracted by something on his computer, says, I was just told we can t take any more cars this evening. Still not looking at me, pauses, then says, you can come back at 7 tomorrow morning if you d like. He then looks at me while I ask, what time do you close tomorrow? He starts shaking his head as if disgusted again and says, AGAIN, 7 pm but if you re not here by 5 there s no guarantee I can get you in. I just said ok and walked out. It wasn t so much what he said and didn t say, and more about very rude body language. Absolutely awful customer service. While some may be annoyed they were originally told 5:30 or 6, I understand completely they get busy, but he should have said something like, geez I m sorry we re not able to get you in tonight as we re unexpectedly busy, but we d be happy to get you in tomorrow if you come back between 7 and 5. Sorry for the inconvenience. I couldn t get over the annoyed look, shaking his head back and forth, staring at his screen while talking to me, saying AGaIN when telling me what time they close tomorrow when it was the first time I asked and the first time he mentioned it. Even if I asked again he should answer and not stress, AGAIN . Communication goes both ways. I felt like I couldn t wait to leave as if I was annoying him to no end. Wow. I m sure Walmart can find many other people grateful to work that job and with a little happiness in their attitude. It was my first time there and definitely my last. The woman behind me in line left shocked as well.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I brought my car to Walmart yesterday to have a tire repaired. They told me it was not repairable and I needed an entire set of new tires. Im getting a new car in just a couple weeks and just need this one to be driveable in the meantime. I told them Im not buying tires and to put everything back. I took the car to Mavis today and got the tire repaired with no issues. The tire was repairable, Walmart was trying to push me into buying tires. Never again will I take any vehicle of mine to Walmart for anything.

Never had a bad experience here. Always just okay, thatll be X amount of dollars and Y timeframe. I come back and its done.

This is the absolutely worst place to bring your car. I needed a simple oil change and not even within 100 miles of getting an oil change my oil starts leaking out and I have absolutely no oil in my car, plus they charged me a ridiculous fee of $50 for an oil change. Come to find out, whoever worked on my car completely striped my car and screwed up everything. I now have to take my car to a real auto mechanic who actually knows what theyre doing and spend a huge amount of work on my car all to these dumbasses. (Exscuse my language) the worst part of the whole experience was the customer service, I asked the manager to simply fire whoever did my car or have them work in another department and she said werent not able to do that. Obviously theyre going to keep the employee who screwed up and keep screwing up more cars. I would not recommend this place to anyone, EVER. Go somewhere else or if you know anybody whos a mechanic who can do a simple oil change correctly, I would recommend that. Spend the extra money if you have it. Dont be a fool by these people
