Great people to do business with every time

If I could give negative stars, I would. Took my car in for a tune up and then ended up dropping spark plug porcelain into my engine. Claimed they couldn t find it (I found it) and refused to pay for ruining my car. They instead offered to buy my car from me for a fraction of its initial value. Couldn t handle a tune up and even admitted to firing the mechanic that did it, yet refused to accept responsibility. I will inevitably be taking legal action when i have the time.

Worst experience ever, went for a change of tires and they messed with my AC and put some type of wrong fuel in my car and my car started to smoke. Prejudice and fake mechanic, if you want your car messed up go to them.

Fred and Joe got me in and out super quick. Great customer service with affordable prices. Will be back in the future!

I caught a flat coming off the south troy exit so i pulled into speedway seeing how comically i was struggling to fix my tire they came to the rescue! The broke off on of the wheel studs on my mother s 65K mile car and several other issues. Still charged her and made it up by not charging her for towing after their bad bearing job. Lesson learned, wouldn t recommend.

Zero starts !!!!!!!!! Just picked up my car from them for a starter , belt which popped while they had it and Alternator which they said I needed not even hour later from picking up my car won t start ! And now it s after hours closed. And I m out stuck in traffic ! They Definitely take advantage of good people!

These guys really helped me out. I walked in, explained what work I thought I needed, and they managed to get me an appointment for first thing the next morning. They had plenty of cars lined up for repair/tire work, so I was impressed with how fast they were going to be able to get to me. After doing the work I asked, they explained that it might just be a quick fix to a larger problem. They did so in way that was merely informative, rather than pressuring me for further sales. After explaining what they were seeing as a potential future problem they rang me up, invited me back if there was any other issues, and had me out the door in remarkably quick time. Overall a very positive experience from my end.

Rip off! I had work done and they said that the dealership had to program it an charge me $250 more on Top of the money they already charged and still have the same issue ..the dealership said they dont send out technicians to program anything.....now have to pay out more money....beware this place rips you off!

RIP OFF ARTISTS 1. They cant or wont fix a check engine light 2. They will not produce the part that they allegedly took out of your car to repair (HUGE RED FLAG) ask for the old part if they replaced it with a new one. 3. Every time I went there, some new mysterious problem shoed up on my car and I had to return. 4. My back door speakers disappeared from my back doors after a trip there. I have no doubt that they were taken. 5. When asked about concerns, the owner gets defensive and angry. After all this they have the nerve to set up a tip jar to buy lunch. THIEVES! Do not go here.

Went in for a couple tires for my Dodge Ram van, needed some quality used tires for the front since I had a bad ball joint that was really bad. Not only did I get a great price on a couple Goodyear Wrangler radials but made an appointment to get the tie rod replaced at a rate that the big guys would never even come close to matching. I cant be happier with the service and the genuine kindness of a family owned business that provides honest work for prices that wont make one feel as if theyve been gouged... Having an older van that travels thousands of miles across the country, I can state that Ive finally found a shop I will tell people about and return to for all my automotive needs. So very grateful for these people!

I stopped in today with concerns of noise coming from the back of my car . Fred took me in right away . The found the issue . I had to go to the place that did the Original Job because they were at fault . Fred did not charge me . I will be bringing my work to his shop from now on

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP . They are telling customers that it is New York State law to get synthetic oil change and charging more then a dealer for an oil change $75 to be exact and broke my cars hub cap while they were at it changing the caliper for $140 overall this place is a total nightmare to deal with and would definitely stay away if you don t like being ripped off by amatuers .

These guys are the real deal. I was in Albany during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I asked them to repair my AC and to check up on some noise I was hearing every time I drove. They discovered what it was, and bought me in to show me what the problem was. Took them 8 hours to fix, and I knew it was going to be a complex job. Their price was reasonable. Since this is a family owned business, you can tell there is a lot of pride in their work. We had some heat waves this summer, and weve been kept cool thanks to the newly fixed AC, and the car drives quitely now,

Small shop but good friendly honest service. Im tough giving 5 stars, this odd one of the only ones Ive given out. I dont know Fred duty was referred there. He gave me advice twice on how to fix my car issues inexpensively without charging me a dime. When i needed him to perform repairs he worked with me on pricing too.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted and asked what I needed. Told him I needed 2 tires and he came out to my he checked my tires. He had what I needed in stock. He didn t try to sell me anything extra or up sell. The price was reasonable and we weren t in and out, so I know he made sure everything was fine with the vehicle before leaving. Would definatley recommend again.

Walked in with a fix it ticket, just needed someone to sign off that my taillight was working. Guy behind the counter doesn t acknowledge me at all, then when I tell him what I m trying to do he makes up an excuse why they can t do it, talks to me like I m stupid... So I drove up to Jiffy Lube and didn t even make it to the front door before a tech catches me outside and gladly helps me out. Too bad because I like to support local, but you can t treat people that way. Save your time and drive up the street.

Quick, fast and friendly service. I knew that I wasnt going to make it home on the tire that I had and so I popped into Freds just before they were about to call it a day. It was hot and they were tired, yet, still, tagged teamed my car a slapped 2 tires on the front before I even knew the car was done.

I got a wheel alignment from them for only $69.99 while other garages charge $89.99 or more. Fred is a great guy and the service was great.

I paid to get an alignment done that never got done, went to the owner Fred and talked about my car being aligned this time or I want my money back and he was rude and hesitated to give me my alignment. I would never go there again and don t recommend it to anyone. Terrible customer service and it doesn t even deserve a star at all

Great staff, friendly and honest. Fast service. Quality results. I came in at 515pm (for a tire change after a blowout from a curb) and they close at 6pm, but had no issues getting me in and they were super polite. A+ all around.

Excellent service with some chill guys. They gave me a good deal on the issues with my car and let me come back later in the week with it when a new problem arose and fixed that without the labor charge. 10/10 would recommend.

i had work done there before and i went to get 4 new tires and was quoted on one kind of tire and another brand was installed without even a phone call. i might call the BBB because its a bait and switch

I bought 4 tires there and shortly after, one was losing air consistently. I added air once or twice a week and went back to Freds to report it, only to be put off by the owner saying it was because the sensors are very sensitive. I went on my way only to have it happen continually. Again I went back but he put me off again, this time saying I needed 4 new sensors which would be $400. My husband filled the tires and the sensor lights went off until the tire lost air again, indicating there was nothing wrong with the sensors. After about 8 or 9 stops there with the same problem, he said the tires were no longer under warranty and he did not have to do anything to correct the problem. When I pointed out Id been there several times since I purchased them, he said he didnt care and reiterated that he didnt have to so anything to fix the issue. On one of the first visits there, another honest gentleman at the shop wondered why he sold me those tires for MY car saying he would have given me Cooper tires which are better tires. The owner was disrespectful, and arrogarent and totally unwilling to rectify the issue. Ironically that same day, I encountered someone else who expressed the same view of the owner. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND DOING BUSINESS THERE.

I initially came to Freds under terrible circumstances. The staff and Fred himself has made it so much easier to deal with AND they are the only people I would trust with my car. Fair as a deacription doesnt even do Fred justice.

Terrible place, not even worthy of 1 star. In good faith I took my car there. Beware!!! Better yet, shop somewhere else. Heres why: 1. Lied about replacing my parts. Instead used my old parts and was trying to charge me as if the parts were replaced. Busted!!! 2. Tried to charge for services not done. 3. Quoted one price, but price increased almost $200. (Go back to reason #1) 4. When this was brought to owners attention, he was blatantly rude, disrespectful & agressive. 5. Bottom line, NO INTEGRITY!!!
