Have had multiple positive experiences here. This afternoon Mike helped me out with a small issue and didnt even charge me. Highly recommend.

An honest mechanic is hard to find and this location has all of them in one store. Its the only place I bring my vehicle.

Appreciate my car being fitted in for repair at the last minute. They also offer weekend appts which is very handy. Another review 10/31/23 The part had to be ordered but it arrived within an hour. I had left the shop to find a cup of coffee. When I got back my car was done. I asked could they look at my rear defrost as well but I can not confirm if they did. Another visit 02/2025 I needed a headlight bulb replaced. The service manager at monroe found that the last repair shop i had used had glued my headlight in place with silicone. It would take extra work to get it out. Monroe did not charged anything extra and my headlight was fixed the right way

Monro has serviced my car for years and keeps me safe. They never over sell. I trust them with my daughter s car as well as mine. I won t go anywhere else.

Great experience. Made an appointment online for 4 new tires, mounted & balanced. Made the appointment the night before, got there & the shop only had 3 in stock. The manager John went out of his way to drive to Glenmont to get the 4th tire while I waited. Only took a few hours start to finish. Not to mention I actually saw them use a torque wrench to torque the wheels correctly, not an impact uga duga good enough like Ive seen other shops do. Good deal on the tires too.

AVOID this place. They didnt even do my alignment. No wrench marks on 4 of my TIE rods and CAMBER bolts. Even no before and after measurement results.

I definitely recommend this place I had some car problems coming from a long distance drive and an employee by the name of John stager provided me with great services. he was honest and did the right thing highly appreciated.

I had a leak in one of my tires and needed to get the tire repaired ASAP before a long drive tomorrow. Making matters worse, it was the 4th of July and most other tire shops and auto repair spots were closed. I called Monro and they got me in immediately without an appointment and had the tire fixed within an hour. The price was super cheap for the repair. The staff were all incredibly friendly to me and the other customers that came in. I normally dont go here for regular minor car service like oil changes, brakes, and so on - but I will be coming back here regularly now.

Showed up for my appointment for 2 new tires and an alignment. I was informed they could not do the alignment as they dont have anyone who knows how to do them, but they could sell me 2 tires. I asked for a price and was told the boss would be back soon. He called the boss who said he would be back in a couple minutes. I stepped outside and called Warren Tire and they took care of me without an appointment.... Dont waste your time at Monro...

This is a great shop to stop at!! I was in about a year ago and they are super helpful. A guy by the name of Rich is a really good dude. I d recommend this place to anyone. Midas across the street tries to rip off every customer. Go here instead.

I was here from out of town and started having some pretty serious car trouble. I brought the car here because it was close to my hotel and Chris (the manager) was so helpful! The staff was funny and knowledgeable. They made a very uneasy experience a great one. Highly recommend this location!

I take my 98 chevy silverado for inspection and fail for a drop of power steering fluid on bottom of pump LOL BULL SUGAR, HONEY, ICE,TEA.

It is the but place where you can take your vehicle, they do not comply with the guarantee of their work, I went for the Check engine light, I spent almost 1000 dollars and my car still has the light on, the part they gave me was damaged, I had to change it somewhere else. And every day I call for my refund and there is no one who can do the process for you.

Got NYS inspection done. Took an hour. Cost $21. Not bad!

We got a flat in Albany while driving from VT to PA. We could not drive home on a donut so we had to stay overnight in Albany to get the tire fixed. We went to another tire place and they said they did not have the tire and we had to go somewhere else. I called Monro and they said they did not have the tire in stock but they could get it. We went over to Monro and the Manager drove 20 minutes across town and 20 minutes back to get the tire and they put it on in 15 minutes and we were out IN ONE HOUR!!! I thought it was going to take all afternoon and we were on the road in an hour and I was able to get home in time for an important meeting. We were not from Albany. We will probably never go back to that Monro location but they went out of their way to help us. I am a Monro customer for life!

The team here is amazing, had to get a car in for two new tires ASAP and they helped out same day. They also made sure to get that same car set with its inspection - super helpful. They guys there are great conversationalists too, just a awesome bunch of people, especially Rob for making everything go so smoothly. Went in for an oil change. Got an appointment quickly and it was done quickly. It was a little worrying and annoying to have my car smoking and smelling by the time I got home from a *lot* of spilled oil. The guy working the desk was really good. The service department was not so impressive.

Ive been to other Monro locations without a problem, but this is one you should avoid. I was hearing humming noises while driving and decided to have it looked at. It took about a week and a half to get my car back for a simple wheel bearing replacement. I had to bring it back multiple times because a bunch of lights came up on my dash after getting the car back, apparently because they messed up the speed sensor while replacing the bearing. I finally got the car back yesterday, and this morning I heard the same humming noise while driving that originally made me bring the car into Monro. Ive never had so much trouble with such a simple fix. Id recommend bringing your car elsewhere.

I came here a bit ago to get a control arm replaced. They charged me 800 dollars to fix it and when I drove away it had a grinding noise. All I have to say is DO NOT GO THERE. I was not impressed at all and wish I could have my money back after being taken advantage of.

Should be no stars this place a an absolute rip went in for a simple job turning into a complete mess charged for parts they didnt replace broke more stuff then they fixed manager is horrible Im turning in to dmv and dept and several more places stay as far away as possible they are clueless. They made complete fools of my wife and I parts they installed were defective said it would be NC to do the job again to make up labor they ripped us off by adding. Bought new tires back in April and needed an oil change too so they said they d throw it in for free. It didn t show on the invoice and they didn t give me a windshield sticker, I asked for one so they threw one on and the writing was not legible. I had this feeling they didn t actually change it. Just brought my car to Valvoline and asked if they could check. Valvoline confirmed the oil filter was Valvoline s from the oil change before that. Also since buying the tires I ve needed to get them balanced twice because they haven t felt right. They act so nice in person but they re extremely shady and can t even put tires on properly. So if they ve hooked you up with a free service I d get that checked since they probably didn t do it.

Nice people but that s about it, went in to mount/ balance 4 new tires, alignment and an inspection. Inspector was out not a big deal. But they never balanced the tires not one wheel weight on any of them. Also the printer was broken for the alignment machine so I couldn t get a print out. So I called and asked if they balanced them they said yes. Took it on a trip and they definitely were not balanced. So I went back to get the inspection and have them (rebalance) the tires. Inspection was done but I heard a rubbing noise when I left see the attached photos of what I found. At least this time I seen wheel weights on all of the tires! But now they double stack the weights and were rubbing my brake caliper cause a groove to wear in that not sure of the extent of the damage yet but I caught it early so I hope it s minimal. now I have a tire that s still not balanced

I picked up a nail in my tire and needed it fixed quickly. Rob and the guys at Monro got me right in and out with a plug on the spot. So thankful to them! They were the only shop to tell me to come right in, with such a friendly person answering the phone (that s you, Gio!). Always happy to see there are still caring businesses with a sense of customer service out there.

They were the only place (the 3rd or 4th I visited in person) to say I could stop in right away for them to look at my tire and were very courteous on the phone. Brought my car there on a friday for a tire patch. Was told last night, on the proceeding TUESDAY, that it was ready to pick up. I get there and the tire is flat and the rim is scraping the pavement. They never plugged it and the tire quickly became scuffed and compromised in the lot. When the mechanic was working on it, he told me to take a cab home because it was 7:00 closing. I said nothing and stayed there until it was done. Terrible customer service. I drive to work today and the tire pressure light comes on again. Never again.

I used to come here a few years ago and stopped due to previous managers i figured i d give it another chance when i was in a jam and all i can say is wow. Rob and team have turned this store around from what it used to be!! So glad I gave it another chance because this is definitely the best car place around!! Thanks guys!!

The staff were more than kind when I learned unexpectedly that I would need 4 new tires. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to use for any automotive service.

Just like the Mavis right next to them, if you have an older vehicle or big truck they try to make up all kinds of excuses to not work on it! The excuses they used were nonsensical & a clear indication they didnt want to work on it. They are a muffler shop, as their name implies, and they decline the customers request to put glass packs on a classic dual exhaust truck with the excuse they have to use OEM parts. There are no OEM parts anymore for a 35yr old truck, everything for them are remanufactured, after market or original replica parts from LMCtruck or similar sites. The next excuse was they have to abide by state laws but couldnt specify the law in question. I was a service tech for years, we took everything that came into the shop but apparently today these alternate shops avoid anything that involves actual work. They also didnt want to balance 33 tires on 15s with the excuse they cant because beads are needed. I know at my shop we used to balance a lot bigger tires without beads, using normal hammer-on or sticky weights with no problem! He almost tried to tell me the shop was too busy but realized that was one of the first questions I asked him so he caught himself mid sentence and said let me ask my sub-manager, then came back and said they couldnt do it. Horrible customer service! They simply want fast, easy work, so if your vehicle is deemed difficult in their eyes they wont even attempt the work. Zero customer service and zero attempts to even look at the work as the conversation was all on the phone. Id give zero stars if I could! Sounds like these guys need new management for the shop as this kind of attitude is losing them money Im sure.

Had to get a oil change before work. Theyre quick and thorough! Update: Never coming back! Tried to go back for a different issue and got the runaround for weeeeks. So I had to take my car to a dealership for service, and they said Monroe reeally messed up my oil pan (it has to be completely replaced) among a few other things. Really disappointed and out $$$ to get everything fixed AND the cost of what Monroe charged to Not fix my car, but add issues.

The amount of care Chris provided was unbelievable. Honestly he was so receptive and accommodating I don t know how else to explain how perfectly he does his job.

Spent 5 hours and $620 on a screwed up brake job. Had to return the next morning to have it fixed. Manager Jeff was amazing, fixed it himself and got me back out in an hour, but very unhappy with the service from the previous day.

Last minute tire change needed on Sunday at 430pm. No one else would take me so late in the day or was able to perform the work. The front desk boss at the EG,NY was very welcoming and handled myself as well as a lobby full of customers with care and kindness. Kudos to you

Don t go here. I got my tires changed. A tire fell off a couple hundred miles later. The shop refused to accept responsibility, or give me a discount on the repair. My kids were in the car, we almost went into a ditch and damaged my cars fender.

Prices higher than expected

Brett the Regional Manager hides past mistakes like illegal car inspections and damage and Sexual harassment in the workplace which all resulted in termination of his current employees on board. All while delivering sub-par service by hardly trained individuals who get a laminated sheet of information or instructions to follow daily. If they meet the goal of screwing enough consumers over by talking us into parts we do not need or flushes we never need, they then get a bonus. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE

After making an appointment at another repair shop that was extremely rude and impersonable, I stumble upon Monro. I stopped in anticipating having to make an appointment, but was assisted immediately. Within an hour, I had a brand new battery installed, tires checked and check engine light diagnosed. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and helpful! I left confident that I can bring my vehicle back whenever the need arises! Thank you to the entire staff! New customer as you have far exceeded my initial expectations/thoughts!

Called earlier today for a leak in my front passenger side tire and they told me to come right in! I didn t even need an appointment and when I stopped in right after work, they had me in and out faster than any other tire place I ve been to! I really appreciated their timeliness and availability. Stay away tried to tell me I needed rear brakes for inspection pads were Shor they said went home and pulled the tires and the pads are barely worn. I was a mechanic a nys inspector for nearly 20 years and I never tried to sell people what they didnt need there is too much of this in the industry. I never needed to lie to ,are money and my customers new that and trusted me when I said they needed something.

Professional, courteous, and welcoming employees. I was seen quickly. I was not upsold services that were not require. The prices be fair market value for the services, with no unexpected fees. I shall continue to return to this location for all future vehicle service needs.

The guys working were all super helpful with our truck. They fixed the issue and answered all our questions. We were walk-ins and I m so thankful they had time to help us out . The issue was fixed within the hour and we went on our way!

Incorrectly replaced my spark plugs causing my car to not start and left me stranded in NJ. Will not be returning. Crazy to me they messed up spark plugs!!!

Brought my Tucson in thinking I needed a full muffler system. After taking a look they let me know it was a gasket between the flex pipe and catalytic converter. Saving me a lot of money. I totally appreciate their honesty. Ive been coming to this shop for many years for that reason.

Pleasant, professional, and honest, they got me in for a last minute oil change, and went out of the way to get a hard to find part to get me on the road ahead of a bad storm.

Took my car there because I had two tires with leaks. They identified the problem and patched them up quickly. They were so helpful and good humored despite the fact that they were busy. Terrible service. They advertise tire rotation included with oil change, but they dont actually do it.

I had tires installed there but they were faulty (not Monros fault). Monro replaced them under warranty quickly. Monro included the alignment and was quick getting it done. The staff is really friendly too.

Looked at a grinding noise coming from my rear wheel. Got it looked at and fixed same day, where other place would need the whole weekend to even look at it.

This place is horrible I went there to get an inspection done on my van was there for about 3 hours to be told it would not pass inspection because the pads and rotors were bad told me it would cost me $1200.00 to fix. So I left and went to my mechanic the next day to get it inspected and was told my mechanic that there was nothing wrong with my pads and rotors. So basically these people lied to me I need something to be done about this location. So no one please don t go to this location they are a bunch of liars .

Truly amazing staff & Management! I called today my battery was dying and they replaced it and got me in and out in under 1hr! I recommend this monro to everyone I know.

Our tire had a blowout on the highway halfway through our 4 hour trip up north. We got the spare on, called ahead to Monro and Rob said he could get us another tire and change it right away! Rob made it all pain free for us and we were back on the highway in no time to finish our trip! Rob was awesome!!!

This place is no longer the same with new staff who are big liars. I took my truck for Tire swap and asked them to also swap the TPMS sensors from my old tires/rims as the other Rims had a faulty TPMS sensor. They failed to swap the sensors and also failed to return the other three good sensors. When I informed the manager about the TPMS sensor light was still ON he asked to me come back later as he wanted to order a new sensor which he never did but kept dragging it for over a week. They just lied to me that they would fix the issue but never corrected it. I even called their customer service and spoke to a rep about my issue. She asked me to contact the store again and they would replace the sensor at no cost but the store manager never called me back even after leaving him several messages. The people including their manager are big liars and cannot be trusted. I would not recommend anyone looking for an auto repair at this shop. They used to be very good but lately the new staff is absolutely irresponsible and careless.

Dont even bother with this place. Took almost 2 hours to get my tires mounted and balanced after I was told it would only be 25 mins. I was waiting while the staff chatted and hung out with friends and family in the lobby instead of working. Seems like other staff were working on vehicles that didnt even have customers waiting on them. No paper towels in the bathroom. Nowhere to hang a coat in the lobby or bathroom. No drinks or refreshments available, not even water. Staff was loud and annoying, swore often, and one employees pants didnt fit so his but crack and stomach were always showing. And when I finally got my car back, the blue tire lube was all over my wheels and tires. The tires werent even inflated to the right pressure, not even close. Really poor work and professionalism. Im never going back again. I would suggest you go somewhere else.

Update: Two years from this last post, and the service is still amazing!! Great quality customer service! The new shop manager, Jim, and the rest of the staff, are very personable and knowledgeable, making it an easy decision for me to come back for any future car maintenance needs.

Had another great experience 12/19/22 getting tires, having the radiator flushed and getting the car inspected. Really appreciate that no one is hard selling me services and parts that I dont want. Rob and his crew provided only the services that I asked for. Thank you. PRIOR REVIEW: Used to go to Midas across the street. But for the last 10 years been going to Monro. Monro is by far superior to Midas. Just a simple oil change this time, but still a really good experience. Always meet cool people in there too. Hope that Rob doesnt leave. Knowledgeable about cars & also seems like a good manager.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices and schedule with more hours so easier to get it in when you have a busy schedule. And they never try to upsell you into things you don t actually need

I have been visiting this location for at least 6 years and I must say they never disappoint. They treat me well and do not try to get over on me because I am woman and they respect that I am a loyal customer. The current manager is super dope, and the other service employees are great as well.

First time coming in and had a great experience. Speedy service and friendly staff. I had to wait about 15 mins for the oil change and tire rotation and the whole process took less than 30 mins.
