My car was making a terrible noise and Randall Automotive was able to see my car immediately. They were friendly and honest on what was going on with my car and what they can do. As a woman in my 20s I am cautious with bringing my car to a garage, afraid of being taken advantage of and forced to pay more money or pay for services I dont need or arent worth it. This is not the case with Randall Automotive, I felt like they had my best interest at heart and were honest with my options and truly cared about me. I highly recommend bringing your car here!

We have been a neighbor of Randalls for many years, I needed a starter for my 2019 Ram stopped in and met Cory, we talked what the process was gonna be and approx time frame, since i was beyond my Warranty I wanted a blue collar non-chain type shop and a business in Renslr County to keep the businesses alive over here, Cory diaganosed called me after dropping it off a few days later he confirmed it was the starter and was gonna install an OEM Mopar Starter, he Gave me the approx price and a few days to get it ordered and installed, I had my mother-inlaws veh while the work was being done, no pressure sales, no hey we found this or that, they got it right and got it done Thanks again Corey! Ram is running great. No Complaints what so ever..

Randy and his son Corey really saved my car situation. I had bought a car within the last 7 months and I came about some really rough issues. My car had been sitting in my driveway for about a month and a half until I was able to find a place who could help. I had previously visited 2 different mechanics who weren t able to help me at all. I found Randall s Automotive online and decided to give it a shot. That was one of the best decisions I have made when it comes to my car. The duo were extremely friendly with me and made me feel more than comfortable. While my car was in their possession, they called me daily with updates and suggestions, as well as asking permission before making any big fixes. They were extremely time efficient when it came to working on my vehicle. They fixed every single issue that my car has had. Before giving them my car it wasn t even able to drive. I had to tow it to the shop. My car now runs better than it ever has and I feel so much better having a real reliable mechanic I know I can always count on. I was told if I ever had an issue just call them up and bring the car over whenever . I recommend visiting Corey and Randy at their shop if you have any issues at all with your Volvo. These guys are great!

Can t speak highly enough about Randy and Cory. My car broke down around the corner from their shop and they took a look at it right away for me. They really care about customer service and they do the job right. They are both kind, communicative, and extremely knowledgeable. Finally! A place I feel good bringing my car. I ve brought my Volvo to other Volvo mechanics/dealers in the Capital Region and Randall s service puts everyone else to shame. They fixed a potentially dangerous tire issue that was overlooked at another auto-body last month allowing me to leave their lot with peace of mind. They were honest, easy to talk, and explained the work that needed to be done making me feel completely comfortable. This morning they came to the rescue again fitting me in, in a pinch. I ve left Randall Automotive twice now feeling safe in my car and taken care of honestly. Cory and Randall are my go-to from now on.

First of all, Ive never had a better customer service experience ANYWHERE- let alone at an auto shop. Having pretty bad luck with most mechanics, Ive been looking for a place to bring my car where I feel comfortable and I dont feel like Im being belittled by an angry and miserable mechanic. Immediately when Randy called me, I just knew he was the type of person to want to be helpful, and not just want money, which I really value. I brought my car in, knowing it was in pretty rough shape, and I was given honest and extremely helpful feedback. I also talked with his son, Cory, who was very helpful and kind as well. I originally called to get an alignment for my car, but after telling them it was in rough shape, they offered to take a look at my car and see what exactly was wrong with it. Which, of course, there were many things. Expecting such an outcome, Randy pretty much told me that my car needed ~ to go bye bye ~ . But, he fixed what he knew I would be comfortable paying for, AND gave me half off what it wouldve originally cost. Talk about excellent customer service! He also mentioned having cars (specifically Volvos) for sale at great prices, and gave me tons of information and advice. But seeing as I need a new car and that I dont have much knowledge about them, Im more than grateful that he took the time to explain everything. And normally I would feel a little off, having tried a brand new auto shop, that same day a mechanic telling me i need a new car, and then attempting to sell me a vehicle that they would profit from. And considering my past with mechanics Ive had trouble with the trust factor. But I seriously just get a good gut feeling, and like I said, Randy doesnt seem like the type of man to be money hungry. He just seems to want to be a good person and help out people who need it. So I look forward to looking into buying a new car from his business. I apologize for the novel of a review, but I wanted people who may have doubts about bringing their car here to read this and maybe change their minds. I will definitely be bringing in my next car to this shop in the future, regardless of whether I end up purchasing it from them or not. Because my car is pretty much a goner, and I only came in for an alignment, I cant give a specific review on how they do repairs. But, I will be sure to include more of a review if/when my new car needs a fix. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and truly appreciate this business ability to be personable, helpful, and kind. I dropped in for help getting rusted-on screws holding on my license plate removed. Corey came out immediately and was able to get out one of the screws. He noticed that another part was damaged from road salt; He d have to take apart the inside of the trunk to replace it. He and his father, Randy, worked together in solving this mess, and put on my new plate frame. Randy noticed the emblem from my wheel was missing, made a call to a dealership for the part and replaced it. Randy and Corey are both so wonderful, relatable and friendly. This company is owned and operated by a welcoming, hardworking and trustworthy family. I d rather utilize a privately-owned business over a corporation, and I m very happy to have found them. A+

These are the guys to go to when you need your car fixed. Period. I m from out of state and have been commuting from MA to Albany for work the last 2 years. I bought a used Volvo at the time and knew that there was going to be some work put into it as being a new owner. I ve had a few situations where my car has needed to be fixed, sometimes work that needed to be done that day. Both Randy and Corey have been unbelievably helpful these last few years! I m not a car guy so coming from out of state I knew that I had to find someone I could quickly trust. Every time I have needed work done on my car Randy has been extremely helpful. He does not beat around the bush. He tells you exactly what the diagnosis is, what your options are, and the best way to go about it. They are always looking out for my best interest and they find ways to help me save a few bucks rather than paying for something ridiculously expensive that is not needed. I appreciate the transparency a ton from Randy and Corey and it s why I have continued to go back time after time again. These are guys I can trust. To this point, I rarely write reviews for companies. Based on the work Randall Automotive has done for me, there is no way that I couldn t express my gratitude for them and hope other s can experience this level of customer service. I recently had an unexpected visit to Randall Automotive. They were immensely helpful and kind, even though I pulled into his parking lot very late on a Friday afternoon. They helped me even though they didnt have to. They care about cars and people. Thats very rare these days. Fixed our car and got the wheels rolling again. Ill definitely be back.

I was visiting a friend 150 miles away from home and had issues with my Volvo during the trip. I asked around locally to see if anyone knew where I could have it looked at. A local guy told me, Randall s Automotive is a great Volvo shop, the guy there could work on your car with his eyes closed. I called first thing Monday morning and they said to drop it off anytime. I was very relieved that they were willing to look at it and so quickly. Randy is a knowledgeable, honest guy and told me what he thought the problem was, how much it would cost and his opinion of what I should do. He was more than helpful and continues to help me. I completely trust Randy and would highly recommend this business to anyone!

The way I have come to know this particular automotive repair shop is a bit of a long story. So, to keep this review short and to the point I will say they are amazing. Something about family owned businesses that exude such a comfortable and familiar feeling. They have always exceeded my expectations with service and it comes with a side of laughter and conversations about things that make you feel like you have known them for years! I cant recommend this shop enough. Wonderful people and honest service; a rarity these days. Dont hesitate to make an appointment.

Lets just say that Randall and his son Corey are rock stars! My 2006 Volvo XC90 with 306k on the odometer had a horrible creak in the front end in addition to front brakes that desperately needed to be replaced. This required the front control arm bushings along with ball joints requiring replacement since they were original to the vehicle. Randall kept me updated all along the way, using Volvo oem parts for all the repairs to ensure that the vehicle will continue to serve me well without any issues. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who cares about their Volvo and does not want garbage aftermarket parts installed that will fail you prematurely since Randall Automotive truly wants to perform a quality job and make sure its customers are satisfied.

It was really as easy as letting Randy know what I was looking for, a good running inexpensive second car, and a little time until it showed up. Now I have a great car that runs like a Swiss watch. Great Volvo, we are very happy.

My family and I have been taking their vehicles (Volvo and other Makes) to Randall Automotive for many years. They are very knowledgeable and will treat you how you expect to be treated. Pricing is very reasonable and repair options are clearly presented. This is a family owned company...Randy, Corey, and their employees are great.

Randall and his son were able to help my wife and I out when I realized the previous work Toyota had done on my car was poor and an extreme safety risk. When I realized my wheel was loose I brought over the car to him. They were able to re install my wheel properly and checked the others as well within an hour. The following day I returned as it seemed I had found another issue with the my brakes due to the poor service. They were able to troubleshoot the issue quickly and have my car back to working condition again. Most places treat customers like robots. The service received at Randall automative was refreshing. They treated us like people, told us what we needed to hear on what the car needed straight without any fluff, and appreciated the fact we were let down by other peoples work. Thankful to them for helping us out so quickly and looking forward to working with them again.

If you need to get your car fixed this is the place to go! Everyone here is super nice and wont take advantage of you if you arent knowledgeable about cars. They were even able to help me through the process of buying and registering my car. Great place!

Car mechanics and used car salesman get a bad name for one reason or another. Randall and Cory give me renewed faith in mechanics and used car salesman again. These guys are honest, caring and go above and beyond in every way. I was not even looking for a Volvo but ended up buying one from them just based on meeting them. I walked in off the street, got a great price and a great (new to me) Volvo wagon for the family and we are more than happy with it. They stand behind their work and do an amazing job. They even fixed things with the car at no charge to make sure everything was perfect. My cars battery died in the middle of the road in front of the dealership and the father and son rushed out to help push my car into their lot and immediately offered to repair it and did so in a very timely manner. When I picked my car up they also offered to inspect it for me. These two were extremely friendly and definitely know their stuff! They also spotted a long-term problem that others werent able to pinpoint in the past. I cant thank them enough!

Randall and Cory are such amazing people. I got a 2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertible off someone and I brought it to them to get my check engine light repaired to find out mice ate some wiring to the vacuum pump on my gas tank and they asked them to do an inspection I will be going back Saturday for it and found out I needed a serpentine belt and a few other parts for it plus tires and a headlight and they charged me such an awesome price. If you ever need your car fixed go to them Cory and Randall will definitely help you out and they never get mad if you call so much about your car they still remain cheerful and they are some very funny jokesters so as mentioned if you need your car fixed head over there.

Short Story: Best place to bring your Volvos! Long Story: Im a new driver. Bought my first car and within a couple of days, weird noises came out of the engine. I brought it to Randalls shop and they resolved the issue within days with daily updates, upfront estimation of the prices for the service and parts as well as gave me a rental free of charge! It is hard enough to find a garage that are proficient at their jobs, but to find a group of people devoted for you to have the best possible is almost unheard of. Amazing and genuine first two words that come to mind with my experience. I met Randy and his son for the first time today because I had a flat tire around the corner from the shop. My phone died so AAA wasnt an option, so I decided to take a chance an walk to Randall Automotive, to see if they could help me out. Randy along with his son immediately sprung into action, drove to my location with their equipment and put on the spare tire for me. They ended up fixing the flat tire in a timely manner as well. Ive had the car over a year, with only standard maintenance. It looks great, and Im proud to drive it. Finally found an honest and reliable place to purchase and service a volvo in the capital region. I bought a 2006 s60 back in February under rather desperate circumstances after I ran my 2003 s60 as far as it would drive. Randall and Corey were very open about the extent of work that my old car needed, accommodating and helpful when I purchased a new one from them, and patient in answering all of my questions (I had a ton of questions). I havent trusted a mechanic in years, but I trust Randall and Corey now. They have held true to the warranty provided with the purchase of my car from them, as well. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone in the capital region. I appreciate everything theyve done to get me back on the road in a very reliable vehicle again.

Took a friend here to buy a car. The car we had picked out 2 days previously, wasnt ready for her to test drive. The owner, Randy, drove the car, both my friend and myself had masks on, but Randy refused to wear one. We went anyway. He was offended when asked if he would put his 90 day warranty in writing. At the end of test drive before he would fix anything on the car, he wanted my friend to commit to buying the car, no down payment, just commit. My friend refused and is currently still looking for a car. Personally I liked the guy and the car. I think since I did I would have at least given him the benefit.

Brought Randell my 2014 Chevy Cruze because the AC wasn t working. He dug right in and found the problem. When he informed of what was wrong he laid out the price it would cost with extensive details. Once they got the parts in Corey got to work. I stopped by after work to check on the progress and they both brought me back to my car and explained what they were doing and how it was going. They are some of the nicest people! The AC works great now. Definitely recommend Randell. Quick, easy, and friendly!

We come from a small town, just moved to Albany, and both sets of parents always taught us to make sure you find a mechanic you can trust, right away, when we move to a new town. Well, we found them! First and foremost, Randy made sure our Volvo was SAFE, refusing to use a substandard part hed received, apologizing of course. He then discounted our price to make up for the rental car we needed for the holiday weekend, and for the inconvenience that wasnt even his fault. We have been taking our cars for repairs to Randalls for years. Why? We know the prices will be more than fair and the level of service will be well above average. To my dismay, it was quite the opposite!! Randall was able to get the parts I was looking for and installed them!! I have had nothing but positive experiences with Randall Auto since discovering them last year. Actually, the first time I went to see Randy I was out with my oldest son test driving a used vehicle from a local dealer. Randy convinced me to return after we returned the vehicle and I am so glad we did. We ended up buying a used Volvo from Randy and it has lived up to expectations. When we bought the car we were replacing an older model Volvo and planned on getting rid of it because the quotes we had received for fixing it did not seem to be worth it. Based on Randys recommendations and his affordable service we were able to get that car back on the road for my youngest son. It is still running great and so glad we listened to Randy. Once the lease is up on my car I will be checking out Randys inventory for a car for myself. I cant leave a review for Randalls without mentioning Randys son Corey, who also works at the shop. The two cars are running great which speaks to Coreys skills as mechanic. Today is Sept 30 and I am adding to my review because my family just purchased two more cars from Randall Auto. My daughter upgraded from her college car to a used S60 from Randall. The car is immaculate and running great. We also brought my youngest sons S80 in for repair at the same time (see previous review). It had almost 300K on it and had hopes of keeping it on the road. Randall Volvo had done the most recent maintenance on it to get to that point and Randy expressed his dismay at the condition the car in such a short period of time. As always, Randy was upfront and honest and said the car was no longer road worthy. Randys candid assessment of the condition of car and how it got that way was a learning experience for my son! Well, my son (I chipped in half) invested in another S80 from Randall Volvo. My son had a couple minor issues with the car after the purchase but Randy has lived up to his word and has fixed the issues at no cost. My lease is up in a year and I will going to Randall Volvo for my next car.

I would like to start this review with 5 stars - I would have given 10 if I had the option. We live in Columbus, OH and our son lives in Maine. He was meeting us in Rensselaer and ready to head back when we noticed one the bulbs in his headlight was out on his Volvo. My husband brought it over to Randalls just as a last resort thinking they would never have the part in stock, etc. Corey was wonderful - looked at it, and put in a new bulb in 5 minutes! In our opinion, when you find great service, you go back. So, my son was coming through NY again and we decided to have him take it in and have them do a thorough check-up and get new tires for the Maine winter. Randall was amazing! We were on a time crunch and he and Corey were very thorough in advising us on what actually needed to get done and what could wait. They were prompt at returning the car on schedule and it runs great. Peace of mind for this momma knowing my son will be safe! We would drive from out of state again to have Corey and Randall handle this car. If only every company was this honest....

When I first dropped it off, Randall could tell what the problem was within a 1 hour diag. No charge. Made my appointment to drop it off for repairs and also had some important updates and maintenance completed. I received updates everyday and a wonderful education on the Volvo Automobile! The shop is clean, they are extremely pleasant to deal with, and their knowledge regarding this type of car is the best you will get in the Capital region. After a small snow storm this past winter while backing out of my driveway I slid into a tree causing a dent approximately 18 s in diameter on 2015 Volvo S60. My Insurance Co. told me get 1 quote I decided to get 2 estimates both similar amounts and both said it would take approximately 3 weeks. I decided to try one other place not because of the amount but because of the time it would take. I had remembered driving by Randall s Auto which clearly specialized in Volvo s. I met with Randy (the owner) and his son they also gave me a similar quote BUT, and it s a BIG BUT he could get it in the following week and back to me in about 4 days. I love my car so I wanted it fixed and back as soon as possible. The following Tuesday I dropped it off and on Thursday afternoon Randy phoned and said there was a problem and said it would cost a little more. After he apologized he informed me it was going to be $100 more for labor because they had to blend the paint into the door panel and it would take an extra day. After I laughed I told him $100 was not an issue for a job done correctly. Randy called me Saturday morning and said it was ready I told him I would be in around noon to pick it up. Not only did the job meet my expectations it exceeded them! Randy (Randall s) was professional, great to deal with I can t say enough good things about the experience. He will be doing all repairs and not just collision repairs that are needed on my Volvo in the future Thanks Again Randy

First, you won t be disappointed. Randall s is down home good people. They treat you with respect, know their iron and will work with your needs. Don t pass them up. Second, let me please ask, that you read the longer version of my story, all the way through. I apologize that it is long. I have owned over fifty cars in my 45 years of driving, many were clunkers, needing regular repair. I have previously owned an 02 and an 04 XC-70, an 03 S60 T5 and an old 92 240. I presently own an 08 XC-70. I love Volvos but quality can be expensive to run. When my 04 bit the bullet, I had taken it to another shop that didn t specialize in Volvos and they detailed extensive and costly mechanical work that made it financially impractical to keep the vehicle. I had driven past Randall s many times but thought He s a specialist, it s going to cost me big bucks just to walk into his shop. So, when the 04 got a bad diagnosis I figured I d give Randall a try. So I got on the internet to see his reviews and all but one were great. That one made me wonder. But I went anyway, and I was not disappointed. He took only one day to give the XC-70 a full diagnostic without charging me. He identified the same issues the other mechanic did, as well as other issues that would need to be addressed if I was to continue to run my 04; in all the bill would have come to well over $3000, the same numbers as the other mechanic and would still need more work after that. From the beginning, Randy treated me with respect. He helped me get the 08 for my wife and gave me rides to and from Enterprise while he conducted dealer prep to the car, he even helped pay for the rental when his prep work became delayed by another customer s project. My wife went in the other day to get the oil changed on her 08 and came home praising the courteous and respectful way she was treated by Randy and his son, Cory. They always greet me by name and are ready to accommodate my needs. Here s another example of their loyalty to their customers. Today, I blew a tire on my other vehicle (which I now also bring him for service), and he had me in his shop less than 45 minutes while he picked up a new tire, mounted it, balanced it, and out the door. BTW the tire that blew was put on the car by Randall s when I changed out my winter s. I had picked up some road debris in the sidewall destroying the tire. When I went to change it on the side of I-90, I was amazed to find the lug nuts were properly torqued, so I could remove them easily with a factory issue lug wrench. This little attention to detail makes Randall s Automotive worthy of high praise and a prize in the auto industry. Please ignore anyone who says different, they are either lying or deluded.

I have been taking my cars to Randall automotive for almost a decade now. I will not take my cars anywhere else. There is a sense of trust that I am not going to be ripped off, unlike any other chain auto place that are just trying to make a buck. When I needed a new car Randall himself, so graciously went to the auction and got a car that was way better than what I ever thought I would be driving. It took him a few weeks, but he didn t just go and pick the first car that was there. He really took his time to make sure that the car he brought back was of excellent condition.

The engine in our daughters car (Volvo S80) died. Randy personally came to our house to assess the damage and even towed the car on his dime to his shop for further evaluation. Although the process took longer than we expected, Randy rented us car to make up for the inconvenience of being down a vehicle (for a family of four drivers). He was transparent, honest and communicated openly about the process of fixing the car and getting back on the road. When the job was complete, he walked our daughter through the process, showed her the donor car and told her that if there was anything wrong over the weekend to come immediately back to the shop on Monday morning for adjustments. There were no problems! I am grateful for Randy and his son that did the work and got my daughters car back in shape for her to return to work and be able to safely drive (5 hours) back to college in a few weeks. We bought our Volvo through Randy 10 years ago. Five years ago, we moved an hour north of the Albany-Rensselaer area and had our car serviced at both dealerships and by local mechanics. After a series of less than satisfying service interactions, we came up against a problem that prompted us to be back in touch with Randy for advice. Randy determined that the $1000 axel replacement recommended by a local mechanic was unnecessary and he solved the problem by replacing a missing wheel weight! This in mind, we asked Randy to go over the vehicle for us and he and Corey found a number of critical maintenance issues that had been neglected, some of them involving our safety. These issues were thoroughly explained by Randy and Corey before the job was done and after. The work was done efficiently and for a fair price with all original Volvo parts. Randy and Corey are unmatched in the Capital Region when it comes to reliable Volvo service. We recently purchased 2 vehicles at Randall, due to the fact that one of my vehicles died and because my son needed something to get to work. I noticed that there were quite a selection of Used Volvos on the lot and was told that I could take my pick, but recommend a 06 that was in very good condition. He provided a presale checkup and repair of any issues that could be a problem. All issues were taken care of and my car runs like a top and is in great condition for an older vehicle in and out. As for my Sons car, Randy personally went to an Auction to select a vehicle that would fit his needs. He found a 2008 Subaru Impreza in near perfect condition. As he was prepping the car, he noticed that there were some mechanical flaws that needed to be done. He said that he would take care of it for a reasonable price. All the issues were repaired or replaced and my son has what I would consider a new vehicle that should last for quite a few years. I can not express how much I really appreciate the work that Randy and Corey did for us.

A-1 Quality and Service! The dealer botched a simple oil change the afternoon before Thanksgiving. Thank God we happened to be a short distance from Randalls shop as NO ONE else was answering their phones, including the dealer at 6pm!!!! Randall not only sent a tow truck to get the car, but sent a separate car to pick us up so we werent freezing, as we had to shut the car off. The guys cleaned the huge mess (the dealer didnt cap the oil after changing), changed the oil...again...and made sure the car was working and there were no issues with the engine. I wont be taking my Volvo anywhere else. These guys are the absolute best!!!!!!!!

I just bought a 2005 Volvo V70 from Randy and Corey and they just about bend over backwards to get you as a customer and keep you there after the sale. Not only did they perform all scheduled maintenances prior to purchasing, they performed a couple of proactive services as well, including a new timing belt and rotors to keep me rolling down the road in the future. Theyre knowledge of Volvo and their simple love of the automobile shows in every conversation and their attention to detail. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Volvo in the used market. I found out about them through a friend who worked with them on 2 of his Volvos years ago and his experience was the same. I recommend him to everyone I know looking for a vehicle or service. He stands behind his vehicles, even the $1700 cheapies and makes sure youre happy and safe before you leave his garage. This review has been a long time coming, but I wanted to drive the car for a few weeks before actually reviewing the service. So my experience started with a fairly noticeable whine sound coming from my 2006 Volvo V50. I contacted a few repair shops, but most didnt seem to know what the issue was. That was when I contacted Randy. These guys are Volvo experts, no doubt about it. Within minutes of looking over my car Randy explained the issue of my CVVT hub needing replacement due to being clogged with old oil. Apparently it is common with some of the Volvo models, and mine was one of them. They wrote me up a quote including the timing belt change I was due for, and suggested I get 4 new tires as I was low on tread. The funny thing is, the quote for the tires was exactly what I would have bought the same tires for on TireRack, only they included the mounting and balancing. Saved me time and effort (and shipping costs). On top of being knowledgeable, and reasonably priced, they got me a rental to use at their cost. This is something most shops wouldnt even consider, so it was really nice to see someone taking good care of their customer. A couple days after dropping the car off, it was ready to be picked up, just as they had estimated. They even saved me over $300 on a part that wasnt needed in end, lowering the quote total. Talk about honesty. Its now been about 4 weeks, and the car is running better than ever. They even called me a week after the service to have me swing by, so they could take a look at everything and make sure there was nothing leaking or acting funny. Im happy to have my Volvo back in action, and ready to put another 100,000+ miles on it. Its a good feeling to know Ive found a honest mechanic in my area, who is an expert at what they do. Highly recommend Randy and his entire crew.

This is a true story, and there are other people whom Ive talked to who have gotten ripped off by him as well. According to them, they filled a complaint with the DMV, and he was fined. Also, it seems like not the first time, but these people are afraid of his legal threats. I am not. I have received lawsuit threats from him, and he has been calling me and my family, threatening me. But you should know the truth, so I will stand my ground. Randy, the owner, had sold a 98 Volvo S70 in late 2012. He had told me, before I had agreed to purchase, and before I had decided on which car, that he would repair anything that went wrong with it within the first few months. I bought it, and the Check Engine light came on soon after. I brought it back to him and he told me that it was a bad air pump of some sort (I am not good with the inner workings of cars). He said that it wasnt doing anything wrong but preventing it from passing the emissions inspection (which tells me that he reset the light before putting an inspection sticker on it before selling it to me). I left it with him, they said they repaired it, the light came back on immediately. They said that it was something else connected with it and that they had to order that part. I brought it back in on appointment and picked it up days later. The Check Engine light came right back on on the ride home. I just decided to let it go, the light would go off for a while and come back on periodically. When inspection time came, he said it would be a $700 repair, for that exact problem. Furthermore, a short time later, I hit a pot hole and my exhaust began spouting very loudly. I took it somewhere else, close to the incident, and they told me that someone had put a metal U-bend on the exhaust line, to temporarily hold it together. He also said that it was either the guy that I got it off of who did it, or he definitely had seen that it was done, and sold it to me anyway. So he avoided a $1,600 repair before selling it to me. I know also suspect that the emissions problem that I had, was most likely because of this illegal botch-up temporary fix that he had put on. I lost the vehicle, the repair was more than the car is worth now, and I only got a little over a year of use out of it. I called Randy a couple times and no return call... I stopped by there and he refused to come out of the back and talk to me. I told his receptionist that I would be reporting him... Liar... Cheater... Coward...

Randall Automotive Inc, has been servicing my Volvo (which ever one I owned at the moment) for the past 13 or 14 years. I first started taking my 240 to Randy before he moved to his current location. I have stayed with Randall Automotives because Randy has always been honest about the service and care of my car. As a single woman who knows very little about cars (after all if they have gas and oil, the engine should start when you turn the key, right?), this is critical. His repairs are reliable and he is committed to getting it right. He and his staff have gone beyond the call of duty on my behalf when they didnt have to. I cant imagine taking my car anywhere else to be serviced. I have referred friends to him and they too have been pleased. Although they specialize in Volvos, they work on other makes and models too. If you are looking for someone to take great care of your car, Randall Automotives is the place for you.

Ive been going to Randys for 7+ years and I dont own a Volvo! He and his team have taken great care of my 04 VW GTi and now my 07 GTi. They go out of their way to make sure the service is done right the first time, but on the very rare occasion that I have to bring it back, it is no nonsense, just get it right. Because I am a woman with limited knowledge about cars, Id say the thing that most impresses me is that he never, ever tries to sell me something I dont need or say that something is broken that isnt. He has never overcharged me for anything -- they are just all around good guys who are honest and reliable. I would highly recommend Randall Automotive.

Randy has always been dependable, honest, and fair. I purchased my pre-owned Volvo S40 from him almost three years ago. I live in Ohio, and except for an oil change, Randy does the upkeep on my car. When I purchased my car and drove back to Ohio. I drove back to New York a few weeks later to visit my sister. Randy told me to bring my car in and he fine-tune it at no cost to me. The one time taken it to a dealer here once for diagnosis. I faxed it to Randy. Since I was heading that way soon, he told to bring it in when I got there. He beat the dealers cost by a mile. I will continue to do business with Randy. As a female whose knowledge of cars stops with how to drive one, it is comforting to know that you can take your car in for repairs and not be ripped off.

(didnt expect that) -they work on more than just Volvos (repaired my Jeep liberty 05) -had an atmosphere and professional, friendly oriented approach that secures my recommendation to anyone in need of local automotive repair services.

This is the best volvo service location around. Reasonable rates and very helpful staff. DO NOT GO TO THE CAP VOLVO DEALERSHIP. These guys know everything about volvos and will take care of you and your car. I was in and out in 5 minutes because of some silly error code. I wouldnt have had my car for a whole day if I took it to the dealership.
