Mark's Automotive is leaving our home of 50 years to move to our new location at 229 Vischer Ferry Rd, Rexford, NY 12148. Our last day at our old location is Thursday, December 8. We will reopen at our new location on January 2, 2023. We look forward to taking care of all your automotive repair needs next year!

Took me too long to write a review. Honest, dependable, reliable great work. As others have said he will give you fair options for repairs. I Just had a hole in my subaru subframe and have a feeling he may have been able to offer me a different option however with an older car,. and nationwide part shortages i decided it was time to trade in for new. If you have an older car especially this is the mechanic for you , but even if you have newer he's worth a visit. best mechanic around.
This is the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. I started using Mark’s auto about 2 years ago when my radiator in my 08 Honda Accord suddenly exploded. I called around and this shop ended up taking my car in and replacing the radiator and did excellent work. I’ve been going to them ever since and the repairs have always been fairly priced. Mark actively tries to find an option for repairs that are both of great quality and affordable for me. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants a honest mechanic who cares about his customers and doesn’t overcharge.
Unfortunate experience all around. Did not wind up having them do the work. Recommended $2,500.00 for front end work on a ball joint replacement and tie rod (?...can't remember exactly) and another $1,100.00 on rear brakes (e-brake included). I know the cost of the work will not be a few hundred dollars but almost $4,000.00 seemed high. When I broached the subject over the phone with the owner, they became defensive, to put it nicely. He welcomed me to check pricing elsewhere and told me to write down the parts he'd be replacing to which I replied I wasn't able to at the time. I then asked for a formal estimate and was told he'd need to charge me $40-$50 for that. I replied saying that i've never been asked to pay for an estimate of work...ever...in 30 years of driving. Asked again if he was truly concerned about collecting $40 to risk losing almost $4,000.00 in business and a new customer...said he wasn't...that was booked up for 3 weeks. Fair enough, Mark, best of luck in the new spot and to those you serve.
Mark's Auto was recommended to me many years ago. Have used his service for a number of different issues. They are reliable, friendly I trust his work. Gives you options and not just trying to make it the most expensive.
I brought my car to Mark’s when I heard grinding in my back brakes. I used to use Daigle automotive but Mark’s bought the business so I went to Mark’s. My family members recommended him too. I dropped the car off the night before and in the morning Mark called saying I needed back brakes, rotors, and calibers. He recommended them for the front too. The estimate was about $1225. He said the calibers in the back were sticking. I felt this to be a high estimate, so I called another auto shop, explained the issue and asked what they thought. They said calibers rarely stick. The car is older and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to dump that much money into it, so I went to pick up the car and get a couple other estimates. When I got there, I was charged $18.00. Mark didn’t even provide an estimate. I had to ask that the estimate be given to me in writing and told them that I have never been charged for someone to give me an estimate. They insisted I pay the $19.80. I did take the car to another place and had both front and back- rotors and brakes replaced. Calibers we’re not needed. I have been driving the car for 3 months with no evidence of calibers sticking. This saved me $500. So while I wish I could say I had a good experience here- it was all around shady. Just a heads up. You might want to get a second opinion before forking it over.
If your looking for an honest mechanic who does excellent work look no further. I recently needed my control velocity axle replaced on my 2010 Honda Accord I was informed that the job could cost anywhere from $200 to $1,000 depending if parts were needed for the transmission as well. After holding my breath and prayer I received a phone call from Mark's staff later in the day informing me that my repair cost was only $342. Any other mechanic or garage could have easily charged me up around $1,000 even if the job didn't warrant it. Mark was referred to me because of his honesty and workmanship and he showed the referral to be true. I would encourage anyone to go to Mark's automotive when their vehicle needs service.
I brought my car to Mark's Automotive and that was quickly proven to have been the right choice. Mark was completely upfront with me about the issues with my car and provided quality and timely service at a reasonable price. He took the time to talk with me and walk me through all my options and explain everything, provided helpful opinions/insight on certain issues, and was honest throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend Mark and his team and will without a doubt go to Mark for all of my car repair/service needs in the future.
Mark's automotive has always been a stand up and trustworthy business. I've brought my SUV (2005 Ford escape) to him about 4 times now and hes always been professional, quick, and gives a fair price for the work him and his guys do. I'm not sure what these 1 star reviews are about but I assure you if you need quick and reliable work done to your car hes the guy to go to. I will be a customer of Mark's Automotive for as long as hes in business. Thank you Mark!

What I like and appreciate about Mark is he makes the phone call to explain in detail and in layman s terms what the problem is and the repair needed. In a recent situation there were delays out of his control due to shipping.and he kept me informed every step of the way. Most importantly the repairs are done right and at a fair price. You can t go wrong.

Great job on the car
Marks Automotive is the only independent mechanic I trust. They are honest, fast and go out of their way to help whether youre a first time customer or long-time friend. Not only that but their vehicle expertise is incredible; youll see everything from Kias to Bentleys and everything in between. Mark has a big heart and always seems to find a way to make time to help people in need despite being slammed with business. Bonus: he has the cheapest premium gas prices in town.
Another useless mechanic. Told me the entire rack and pinion needed to be replaced along with the other whole 9 yards. All it needed was a ripped CV boot replaced. This place is an absolute joke. If you have a lot of $$$ and want to replace unnecessary parts, go here. Otherwise, go to a real honest mechanic, who wont use your $$$ to drive around in a $70k Jaquar.
Tried to get my tie rods rotated. Now my car going all over the road. Should have never brought my Cadillac there. Front tire were so bad built shown blue through wall. Now not sure what to do. Nobody will answer my calls. Something with the guardrail on the corner but Im not sure. Little squeaky they were supposed to replace it.
Always so friendly and efficient. I havw definitely found my new favorite auto body shop.

Marks Automotive Center is THE BEST!! I cant say enough about Mark and his team! I will be recommending them to everyone! They got me in the same day I called to fix ALOT of major problems with my car! I had to come back a few weeks later after they had ordered an O2 sensor for me to have that done as Well! They were all very nice and professional and Mark answered any and every question I had regarding what they were doing and any other concerns about my car. To top it off they are extremely reasonably priced compared to other shops I had called around to that wanted to DOUBLE the price I paid here! I WILL be coming back for all my car needs, I HAVE FOUND MY NEW AUTO SHOP!!!

My truck failed inspection on the last day of the month and I went to Marks to see if he could help. I was met by Mark Sr. and his wife. I told them my story. I was quickly reassured. My truck was fixed by Monday inspected and safe. Wonderful family run business.
The owner Mark is always open to offer advice and help with any questions or concerns a customer has. They have a wide range of knowledge on almost any type of vehicle and even show you the steps and what they do which almost no other shop allows. One of the few places in the capitol region where the owner and techs didnt look down on me and assume I dont know anything about cars due to my young age. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, it is sometimes hard to find a day to bring your vehicle in due to how busy they are every week, but id say that means theyre doing something right! 5 stars all the way.
He didnt even come out to look at my muffler he told his female worker to tell me to leave it for a few days must be busy and rude I was a customer in presence he should refer to ME. And on BBB wow good Customer service.
I have been going to Marks for a couple of years now with all of the family cars. They are honest, do good quick work and never leave you feeling like you overpaid. They stand behind their work and are always willing to help you out when you are in need or have a deadline. I would recommend them to everyone who lives in the Clifton Park area. When it comes to having a car repaired you want to know that you are going to someone you can trust, they have won my trust and I will continue to use them for all my car repairs!
Marks business is a model with excellent customer service! His shop is clean and the staff are friendly. They did great work on my daughters car at a good price! Mark is running a great business and will get more of my business in the future for repairs!
Mark Jr. really knows his stuff - a chip off the block Weather it is a new Chevy or a 1977 MGB he can work on it all. He cut my 25 year old son a deal on his 2002 Honda Civic repair saying I remember when I was 25 and broke. Im switch my BMW service from Keeler to Marks too. Great guy, great shop and honest as can be.
Ive had my car worked on 3 times over the last 5 years at Marks Automotive, and I am about to call him up again. I have an older car, and Mark has fixed every problem Ive had, and it gets done fast. I highly recommend Marks Automotive to everyone!
My car failed me last night with a charging problem. I called Mark and left a message asking if he could get to my car before I had work the following day. He called me back this morning at 8am. I got a neighbor to jump my car and I was at Marks by 8:55. My car was on the lift shortly after 9! They fixed my car quickly and the service was extremely professional. I would go back without any hesitation and would recommend this service center to everyone.
