Best mechanics in nyc...no one else touches my van! trust worthy and reliable... also super professional and family friendly...
I would never consider using these dishonest individuals again. I initially found this place due to its proximity to my son's class, hoping for convenience, but it turned out to be the same shop that potentially endangered my son and me. On October 2nd, I visited the shop to have my rotors and brakes replaced, he charged me $326.00 . providing my own parts and rust-resistant spray, which they never returned or utilized. Eight weeks later, while driving with my son to school at 6am, my front tire screws came undone, and we narrowly avoided a crash. I contacted the shop owner, arranged for a tow truck, missed work, and brought my car to the shop, only to be blamed for the damage and charged $400 to fix what they had caused. Throughout this ordeal, there was no apology or invoice provided until I requested it in December. Each job performed lacked an invoice, and in the one finally provided, they attempted to discredit me by alleging I used secondhand parts. Even if I had used secondhand parts, they willingly agreed to work on my car. I've lost trust in their services completely. Now, I'm without a car, while they still retain over $800 of mine. And for some reason my photos won’t load so everybody can see the damage that was done. They’re a bunch of big thieves and God doesn’t like ugly and they would get caught soon.
Reputable family owned business. These guys are honest and not looking to bang you over the head for a couple bucks in there pocket. They create relationships with customers that will make you feel comfortable and want to do business with them. If you’re ever in need of any repairs, I highly recommend this place.
These guys are amazing. I have been using them for a really long time and never had any issues, always on point, and they are really good at what they do. I owe a few cars on my own, and A1 auto repair is the only shop I am bringing the cars in the only people to trust these days.....Thanks guys for everything..
Brought my car in for a power steering problem. Shamir was very upfront and made sure I understood the options. Repair was done quickly and was given opportunity to drive the car around before paying. So far, car drives great. Highly recommend!
Finally found my go to Auto Shop. It’s hard to find honest mechanics in NYC but look no further. This has to be the best shop around. Mohammed, his brother and their crew are very upfront, knowledgeable, and professional. Their prices are very reasonable and they communicate everything very clearly. Not once will you feel like they are trying to get over on you. HIGHLY recommended. I will definitely be coming here for routine maintenance.
I have been coming to these guys for the past 5 years. They are the best and most knowledgeable mechanics i have ever had. They are always reasonable honest and fair. They will not push unnecessary repairs on you until you absolutely need it. Again as I said the most honest guys ever. Shakir and his brother make you feel at home and comfortable when they are servicing your car. I Will continue to go to them with every single car I own and recommend them to anyone!

I love these guys they saved me a few hundred dollars on my 03 Jeep Wrangler transmission, another shop was going to rebuild the transmission and I took it to A1 and after their diagnosis they said it was just the torque convertor that needed replacement. This is what makes these guys different from the others. Honesty.

I brought my car for transmission repair. I had a leak from my gear shifter. Mr Mohammed and his brother are excellent mechanics and very honest gentleman. They fixed the problem and did an oil change for me. I highly recommend them.

These guys are honest, intelligent, and sympathetic. I called them with a problem, got a quote, then called back two weeks later after shopping around, and he still remembered our conversation. No matter what the issue is, provided they have the time they will give you a quote or recommend you to someone else equally capable.

Ive been coming in the shop for the last 20 years , these guys worked on my Lincoln mark 8 Cadillac STS , and 2 of my Mercedes-Benz S 63 . Never had any problem with the shop or with my car . One of the best shops around , if not the best , you come here and you want regret . They are very professional honest and reliable . I ve been coming in this place for more than 20 years and I never had it problem with anything done in this shop excellent service, professional mechanics able to solve any problem to my three make that four cars very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very reliable mechanics. In the process of going for more than 20 years in the shop, I became very good friend two of the brothers and owner owners . You want find any better shop around the area then this one I guarantee you .

Hands down the best mechanic shop in the entire nyc. This is the only shop id trust ro work on any of my vehicles. Shamir and Hafeez are not only knowledgeable but most importantly they are fair and honest, qualities you dont see at alot of mechanic shops. These guys have done exceptional quality work on a few of my vehicles most recently my 350z where we did complete cosmetic (carbon fiber hood, diffuser lip kit) and full exhaust, cold air intake, plenum spacer. They also helped turn my stock c7 corvette into a modern day batmobile. Trust me you do not want to deal with any other shop i know i dont. Thanks guys for all the great quality work you have done for me over the years.

Coming from Virginia it has been hard to find a reliable, friendly repair shop. A1 s people are friendly, quick, affordable and honest!! Can t recommend them enough, had my oil changed and my battery replaced without looking at my wallet or watch because they were so on point. They re the best!

Its really hard to find a good, trustworthy mechanic. Well, not anymore. Ive been using these guys for about 19 years, and yes, when they moved, I followed. Both brothers have always been upfront with repairs, and today was no different. I had a coolant leak on my 2010 Infiniti, which couldve been a lot worse if Id just left it and waited, but they were able to get it done today, which was a relief. I guess loyalty pays off every time. I highly recommend. A1 is actually an A+ in my book. Thanks, guys.
