The customer service here is top notch, it doesnt get any better. They have helped me with an issue I had with a broken bolt last year. They ended up not being able to fix it but didnt charge me which I think is awesome especially because they had my car for a good bit. The manager tries to keep the price down it seems and isnt trying you fleece you like a lot of other places do.

as a single woman whos not that knowledgeable about cars, I worry if Im getting taken advantage of. Not the case here. Ted was great and got the job done for me and it was all reasonably priced. I felt like I was taken care of and not talked down to or was being taken advantage of.

I am new to the area and brought my two cars in for services. My wifes highlander for a wheel alignment and my Tundra to have 4 tires mounted along with an alignment. They were very honest when it came to not being able to perform a full alignment on the highlander due to rusted components. They did what they could, and I appreciated the honestly. My Tundra was having braking problems on the way there and they quickly diagnosed the issue and provided me a quote for the work. Teddie helped me with my quote and also pointed out a concern with my suspension coil missing a portion of it. He quoted me for this work as well. Teddie appears to be well informed and at no point did I feel like services were being pushed onto me. He stated his case, answered all my questions thoroughly and left me to make my own decision. I went through with the brake job, and it resolved my issue 100%. Very happy with my experience at this location and I would recommend it to others.

This repair shop is definitely a wonderfully honest business that does top quality work. If you have an older vehicle, Adirondack Tire and Service is the best place to bring it to. They also do oil changes, and state inspections. These people will not take advantage of any situation and will be upfront with you about any service that they perform.

We recently moved to New York from out of state. My tire had been slowly losing air. After filling it twice, I drove by this shop and decided to drive in to get it checked. The guys quickly checked my tire, removed the screw, and plugged it. I asked, How much? and the reply was No charge. I am still in shock! Thank you so much for helping me out. You have DEFINITELY earned our business!

Teddy and his team tell you what your vehicle needs, not what they want to sell you or make commission on. This is the only location I will use for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

I found a screw in my tire after it was loosing air. I called and not only did they get me in the same day, but had it fixed in less then 15 minutes, FOR FREE. Management has changed over the years and if you, like me, had prior experiences with poor customer service, that seems to very much be a thing of the past. Services

My parents recommended this place for me to get my inspection done. I ended up having to get rear brakes replaced. I really liked how I was shown and explained why I needed new brakes. They gave me a really good price on the brakes as well. Thank you for your great service. I will definitely be back next time I need service. Update: I went back this year for my inspection again. Staff were really nice and helpful. I recommend this auto center to everyone.

I called three other places and they couldn t get me in. I called here and they fit me in the same day. Service was quick, done well and they didn t try to charge for anything additional. They even ended up cheaper than the others.

This is a very nice place to bring my vehicle. I needed oil change and inspection. Greeted as soon as I came in they took my vehicle right in. Got a flat tire with a dump trailer, full load of stone. Ruined the rim and tire. They fixed it in a timely manner so I could get back to work. Highly recommend!!!

We ve been using Adirondack Tire on Curry Road in Rotterdam for years, we call Teddy whenever there s something wrong with our cars and he gets us in quick and takes good care of us!

I went for a car inspection. It was quick and the staff was very friendly.

I have also bought tires, had breaks done, and Ive also had several oil changes Ive gone to this establishment several times for years and they are always efficient, fast, and very pleasant to be around. I run over a staple and had a flat on Christmas day. I pumped it up and got home. Went to ADK this morning (12-26-22). They fixed it in no time. Very pleasant and professional. My regular guy was closed due to holiday. I was a stranger to ADK, and treated as though I was a regular. Made my day. Thank you very much....... :-)

Every issue Ive ever had with my Chevy avalanche (and Ive had a lot) I go to Adirondack tire, they are the only place Id take my truck. They do quality work, fast and for a fair price. Ive gone swearing up and down my alternator was bad and they could have charged me for a new one and I would never had known but they were HONEST, imagine that, you dont see that often. It was the battery, alot less of an expense. I will never trust my vehicle with anyone but a member of this staff, and they are genuinely friendly people!

My husband dropped my car off to get 4 new tires and my car inspected. With in a few hours they called us to say we needed back brakes. Of course with needing an inspection , we had no choice but to allow it. They call back to say they broke something while doing the back brakes but won t charge us for the part. We pick my car up a few hours later and it cost 1,600.00. A few days later my husband goes to get in my car and one of the new tires is flat. He puts air in it and goes back over to have them address it, he notices that they never inspected my car or changed out the sticker and over charged us by $180.00. They not only charged us for an inspection they never did but the part they broke and said they wouldn t charge us for, they did charge us. Completely unacceptable and disgusting. We will never use them again. Total SCAM and they probably didn t even do my back brakes.This is the shop on Curry Road in Albany.

Not helpful - very disappointed. Thought I was going to a good shop per previous reviews. Was told my car is not worth fixing. He said I wouldnt even waste my time changing the oil I love my car (maybe too much) that is not what I wanted to hear. He didnt even offer any recommendations. They didnt charge me so they got a 2. Will not go back there!!

Great place. Found things that the dealership couldnt or said that needed to be repaired and didnt need to be. Feel very happy and safe taking my car there.

My father is a retired mechanic and has always done my car repair for me. Now that he is no longer able to perform my work, I was having a hard time finding a mechanic who was honest and did not try to oversell me or rip me off. Not only did they not oversell, but they also performed high quality work with decent prices. The manager is always friendly and has never been condescending to me during our conversations, which has been a huge issue at many other local shops. The managers recommendations and explanations for why specific work needed to be done, have always checked out. I have also been able to verify that the work they said that was done, was indeed completed, and with the correct parts. Those reasons alone have earned them 100% of my trust. I should also mention they do brakes without the Warranty Scam. If you need brakes, you get brakes... that is it. You do NOT overpay for flimsy aftermarket brakes (any company that replaced with quality brakes for lifetime would go broke). There is NOT an over complicated warranty catch (Like other major tire and brake chains) which has you retuning your car for inspection every few months - then end up with a voided warranty if you do not get your car in the limited window of time. There is NOT any questionable clauses or gimmicks that would leave you to believe something is 100% covered when it is not (many chains lead you to believe you are completely covered, then surprise you with service fee or labor costs, or only cover parts with defects and not normal wear and tear.) The website often has coupons for various services and tires. You can schedule an appointment from there as well without having to call. This shop also supports the community - which is a plus for me as well. I have seen them sponsor or gift to local organizations and events. I would highly recommend this shop -especially if you are looking for a second opinion on a previous quote. Services I have had completed by shop: Tires, front and rear brakes, oil change, NYS inspection, minor repairs for NYS inspection.

This is my first time here as I just moved to the area and saw they had great reviews. Had a short wait for someone to come to the desk bit nothing crazy, less than a minute or two. When the man got to the desk he was very nice and professional and welcomed me. He had me fill out a short form to get my information and puts you into a pool to win prizes from giveaways they do. Took my car in on time if not a little before my scheduled time, overall good expirence and will definitly use them in the future for anything I need.

My family and I have been coming to Adirondack on Curry Rd. since I got my first car in high school (I m going on 26 now). They re always great - great service, great prices, punctual, and always friendly. Especially Teddy at the front desk. As a girl, though, I would have to say my favorite thing about coming here is it s comfortable. I ve never had an interaction where I felt like I was being talked down to or ripped off. 10/10 every time!

I stopped in as a walk in because I noticed my tire had dropped down to 15 psi .. embarrassingly not knowing how to put air into my tire I just asked for help. The guys instantly took my car in , patched what ended up being a nail in my tire and filled it back up for me . I couldn t be more thankful for these guys getting me in & out so quickly and helping me out as just a walk in. Outstanding service and I definitely will be back as a customer.

Wasnt sure where to bring my car for inspection and some minor repairs because every place I have gone previously was outrageously priced and kept my car for way too long. My husband has had quite a few bad experiences with other mechanics and we are trusting this business with our new car . who ever was working this morning and fixed my flat

I called today before 9:30 to ask if they had time for a plug. I had already called 2 other places and they couldnt get to me until Monday. Adirondack was able to get me in at 12:30 and I was out of there before 1--and in that time they plugged two tires! The manager Teddy was great and the mechanic (whose name I did not catch) was extremely professional. I will definitely use again!

The manager Ted was great and friendly. There was a little wait but given the fact all their bays were full they got me in and on my way.

This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, speed, and quality of the work. I needed an alignment and Im used to going to the dealership and waiting for hours for my car. I was in and out in a half hour and it was half the price I pay at the dealership. I will definitely be going back next time I need work done!

The absolute worst. Dropped off my fwd vehicle for alignment and tires swapped and they told me they would call me when they were ready. They call me four hours later and try to sell me stuff and I tell them no thank you. I ask if my vehicle is done and they tell me no and hang up. I immediately get another phone call from another guy trying to sell me something else and I tell him Im not interested. An hour later I get a phone call saying my vehicle is ready. I look at my vehicle and they have the new tires on the rear. I go to the front and I ask the guy about and he says what do you want me to do about it?. I told him I want what I paid for; alignment and tires put on right. Another hour and its ready. I drive away and my vehicle is pulling to the right. They never did the alignment. I shouldve learned my lesson the last time they didnt do it either. Stay far away.

Quick and fair

This small tire retailer has mechanics that do oil changes, brake work and many other repairs to all makes and models except Tesla. Neither the shop manager nor any of the mechanics want to risk having 50,000 volts of power obliterate them. The wait time is usually minimal and the staff are polite and professional. They also perform estimates and NYS inspections. As a café it is among the worst. In their defense, most auto shops and oil change places have coffee service in which the brewed beverage ends up tasting like a combination of motor oil, tire rubber, exhaust, and brake dust. It is a Keurig.

Went in early on a Monday was there before them. When Charles got there he asked me when I needed. Told him just had work done on my front end and needed an alignment. Had an appt. for an oil change earlier this month. When I arrived I was told they could not fit me in. As I left a young lady stated she had no appt. and was taken right away, ODD Ended up going to another repair shop to get work done. So why make appts. if they are not going to honor them

Great deals on tires

Just a warning. I was quoted $71/tire over the phone, but when the work was complete I was charged $90. When I told him I was quoted $71 he said it must have been for smaller tires, but when I called to get the tires ordered I stated the size and they quoted me $71, so they knew the size. Not much I could, I didnt have the quote in writing, and the tires were on. Just make sure you get it in writing. They lost a 25 year customer.

rude, and abrupt.. recent change in management or ownership we had a small issue with our impala, i called and began to explain the issue but was interrupted immediately before i could explain the situation ( i am mechanically inclined and have been working on cars for the past decade), I realize that not all customers are helpful with diagnosing repair. the car had been serviced there before (in fact almost all of its service was done at this shop) yet no info on the vehicle was in their system. it wasnt until we got through re adding the car and owner to their system that he allowed me to explain the issue (a rather simple issue that just needed explaining to help them determine our problem). a diagnostic exam was run a 70 dollar cost an oil change was performed as well i had already purchased an oil filter and asked the manager if they wanted to use it, they said yes put it on the dash a few hours later we picked up the car and they charged us for a filter and took ours.. if they charged us for a filter we should have gotten ours back. so... rude , abrupt and unwilling to listen to customers.

Great prices on mounting tires, great techs working on the cars. BUT, Frank the manager is a real tool. My truck failed a inspection. I just cleared the codes so they could not be read, not a big deal. This idiot starts going on saying 6 different codes came up and so on. Would have been a 5 star experience, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut. If he was only as smart as he thinks he is, you would not be reading this statement. PS 20 miles later (after the computer had time to go through its diagnostics) I had truck inspected and it passed. I would go back, I would jist ask him nicely not to speak because it makes you look stupid.

Always courteous and nice to me and never steer me wrong. They have become my go to place for help with my car.

The new manager, Charles, is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Original appointment was for tire rotation; however, I needed far more...2 new tires, brakes and struts. I did not for one minute feel like I was being ripped off, but like my safety was their upmost concern. Knowing I would be waiting an extended period they cheerfully offered to drive me home so I could wait in the comfort of my home. A competent, new manager makes a huge difference!!

Lied about what I needed (breaks and roaters) then made me wait 2 hours and got the wrong parts. Told me to bring it back later. When my husband brought it back they had no clue about the parts. He took it elsewhere and they showed him the breaks where fine. When we went in to settle for the oil change and asked why they lied about the breaks Mike became aggressive and told my husband I was a liar in front of me. Also lied about showing me the breaks (which he didnt because I had our dog with me).

Just got back from here. My wife got an oil change recently and they lied to my wife about needing new brakes and rotors which they said theyd order. When I went back to pay for the oil change and get an explanation for theyre lying about the parts the manager Mike told me he was in the military and because of that he couldnt lie about cars. Then he blatantly called my wife a liar, following that up by saying they showed her the brakes last time, (which they never did) and told me if I was gonna keep lying wed have to go out back to settle it. I will never be giving this place my business again, and while I appreciate our Veterans, Mike is a lying childish scumbag. You threaten your own customer over a lie you tried to cover up? Worst experience in any kind of store Ive ever had.

I have been going there for years and really like the service that I received everytime . The manager Mike is friendly and professional all the time he seems to go out of his way to help me when I need work done. The two technicians Steve and mark do the work at a very decent rate and take the time to explain to the customers what needs to be done and what can wait if they cant afford to get all the work done at once. Overall thank you guys for your hard work and dedication

They are all always friendly and let us know what needs to be done and will do it last minute if needed. Love everyone there and all the hard work they do. We really appreciate it!

Had a flat tire on my camper. They fixed it right away and were very nice

The guys there are honest and reliable. We had our brakes, oil change and new tires done there. They stuck to the general estimate and when problems arose...they were up front and told us the problem and even saved the old parts so we could examine them and see where the trouble was. Cost wise, they are competitive, not necessarily the cheapest, but they also dont tack on services to fluff your bill. I would recommend the Rotterdam shop 100% to friends and will be using them for any future car needs. Its good to find a fair car repair shop.
