This shop is consistently honest, professional and provide quality service. In spite of coupons from my dealership and other oil change places, I will not go anywhere else but Grease Monkeys at this location.

I went this morning for auto check coz I m hearing a loud sound from my car every time I accelerate. Jose greeted me and checked what s the problem. He explained to me well what s causing it but they can t fix it coz it s exhaust problem. Instead I asked him if he can teach me how to check the oil cause I don t know anything about car, he patiently showed it to me. This is the top notch customer service I ever have. I ll do my business here next time and highly recommended. Thank you Jose!

I noticed some oil was dripping from my vehicle & am due for an oil change, so they checked out my car & unfortunately they were unable to fix the leak, but still did a few little maintenance fills on some other fluids anyhow for no charge. Would definitely recommend & return!

Good Oil Change experience!

The guys were really great at walking me through the process and advising me of any issues there may be. It was fast and easy and I will be back for future maintenance.

I have had many issues in the past with places to get my oil change done because they don t like to listen. I have been coming here for a few years and haven t been disappointed. Once I arrived Jose the store manager had greeted me and asked what brought me in. I explain that I just needed an oil changed and that was it. And he did just that. Him and his team was very good and communicating their concerns and what was completed and asked if I had any questions. Still the best shop in town to keep my car rolling. THANK YOU GREASE MONKEY!

I went to get my oil changed on August 30th 2024. Staff were friendly and very respectful. I presented a coupon not knowing that it wasn t valid until September 1st 2024. After agreeing to the service and leaving my vehicle the manager reached out to the owner who agreed to give me a discount anyways. Customer service does still exist and I will be taking all my business to Grease Monkey in Round Lake Beach.

First guy tells me I can use a $25 coupon, second person (after the oil change) tells me I cant. Also, $110 for an oil change and an air filter seems high, but maybe thats just me. Ill go somewhere else.

#174 is the best store and has the best team, store manager Jose, and his team was awesome keeping my vehicle running. This team is the best when it comes to there customers cars and are not pushy, and have good customer service

Avoid at all costs! Worst location for an oil change. They constantly try to upsell you every chance they get. All my information was saved from previous visit including which oil I used. They will always say the manufacturer recommendation is the highest price option as possible. This last time he said the computer was wrong last time because of previous management . The manager also refused to give me a receipt of service because I wouldn t give him my email address. Avoid this dump.

Great experience as always at this location! I had an oil change, engine cleaning, air filter change and replacement of rear windshield wiper on my Jeep. The crew is excellent and capable. Explains and shows you everything that they do to your vehicle. They ask for your permission on everything they do before they do it. Plus theres TV cameras on them so you can see in the office on what their doing. Very PLEASED

Her first car as an elderly widow and her first time going to have oil changed - talked her into a new battery that she didnt really need and a few other issues. Seemed like they took advantage of a little old lady that didnt know how to say no. Sorry I trusted your shop to do right by her.

Told me I would be charged 421$. I asked the manager and clarified it would ONLY BE 421$ and he said yes. When done with work they added 40$ and lied and said my lug nuts were messed up and charged me extra. I only usually go to my cars dealership to get my car fixed so I know they did not mess up my lug nuts. I only went here because my breaks needed to be done and the dealership was closed today. Bad business and the manager had an attitude when I asked how am I being charged almost 50$ extra when I clarified before hand. The lug nuts also were only 5$ so I still don t understand. But it s okay I paid because it s nothing to me , I just made sure that I was going to leave a very detailed review.

I was treated respectfully by all the men who worked there. They were very courteous to me. I felt comfortable,safe, and relaxed. I was so happy with how I was treated and how respectful the crew was that I knew I would be going back there again. I have a safe comfortable place to take my car. Pulled in when check engine light came on. Not only did I get a reading right away, I received a fair, honest quote for work needed. As a new resident of the area, Grease Monkey will be my go to place in the future. Customer service was above and beyond the usual.

They asked me what kind of oil I wanted. At first they only pointed to the $89 one. I pointed at the bottom one for $49 and said I wanted that one. They said ok. They did the service, then tried to charge me for the expensive one. They werent honest and tried to rip me off. I will not be going back to that place.

Ive been going to Grease Monkey in Round Lake for a few years now and had never had issues with them. I strongly recommend them if you re going for a fast oil change. They know what they are doing and they are not pushy when something needs to be fixed or replaced.

The gentleman who work here always provide me the best option for my vehicle, what can work for my current financial situation and provides different options for how future car needs can impact my driving, finances, and how long I might get out of my car with the different options. When I walk in I know I will be treated with respect, be provided straight forward factual information and a quality product. My number one question every time I walk in is, what products are most likely to keep my daughter safest in this vehicle in the immediate future? And every time I walk in I feel heard.

Manufacturer recommends Valvoline, they have Valvoline for 89.99. Manager says I need a special European car blend that s under the premium category for $112 and it takes an extra quart, and that my coolant needs to be topped off for an additional charge (doesn t need coolant). Wanted over $145 for an oil change on a 4 cylinder. Have been here before and didn t get upsaled and screwed over before, never going back. Do not send your wife s or mothers here. They will sell her every service they don t need.

Went repeatedly to this place for oil changes because apparently they offer a free oil change after you get 5 oil changes. I was told my next oil change would be free the last time I got my oil changed since it was my fifth time doing so. However, I was just told I am not able to get my 6th oil change for free because they said I needed a to show them a text? I was never told to save or check for a text until they demanded my payment today. No one said I was suppose to look for and save a text message and that would be the only way. What if I didn t have the same phone or just didn t have my phone on me????? Very disappointed in managements lack of concern and misleading information prior to this encounter. Won t be returning or recommending anymore. Be careful with using coupons at this location!!!!!!!!!! Also don t expect management to care for returning loyal customers!!

I appreciate the recommendations and then the no pressure choice that is given to decide what I want done on my car. As a woman, I feel comfortable that the information they give me about my vehicle is accurate.

Like always they were fast and did a good job, but this time they went down a dark path in trying to get me to change my cabin air filter. 2015 ford explorer and claimed it was my original filter and it had never been changed. BULLSHIT! Loss of confidence in their recommendations now.

I usually don t partake in oil services like these but grease monkey really outshines on my first visit. I did a full service oil change and a headlight restoration and was in and out in about 50 minutes. They gave me $10 off and more importantly, the $50 headlight restoration is lifetime warranteed?!? Why the F buy those kits ever again, my headlights never looked better! I ll be back.

This place is great. The Round Lake location is where I go and the employees there have always been very pleasant, efficient, professional and not pushy when it came to extras. They do let you know but Id rather have someone tell me that my intake filter is bad and offer to replace it than to ignore it. Highly recommend!

Us specifically went to this location because oil changes according to Google were priced at $24.99 and they said no ours is 69.99 and $49.99 so I showed him where it was posted 2499 effective until April 30th and I was still denied it and oh thats not my store so I was charged full price and I even showed him where I seen it and they didnt honor it Im sorry

I had my oil changed on my 2019 chevy 3500 4x4 . The guys were very nice . I pulled across the parking lot and looked under my truck the oil filter was dirty and was leaking oil the engine mount was soaked in oil from when they changed filter to say I was pissed was a understatement. if your going to change someones oil and charge do your job correctly. yes they pulled my truck in and cleaned filter showed me me and thats when I said something about the motor mount soaked in oil I dont think I will go back again I have pictures saved of oil filter and leaking oil out of filter
