Never buy from this place they sell you cars that have issues cheat the inspection I ve had my car less then two months the exhaust went on it and the oil coolant housing blew he also lied straight to my face about the recall being fixed which was a fire hazard!!

11 months later this is what I m left with and told it s completely normal for this to happen the welding was done to gimp it home from down the road when the frame snapped with zero weight to top it off I had to pay someone to come get the bed because it literally fell to pieces when removed

worst place ever to buy a car they tell you what you want to hear and dont fix anything ,just make it worse and then send you on your way. I got my car a year ago had to bring it back twice so they could fix my a/c which they didnt fix I still dont have a/c. They also had my bumpers painted, got there to pick it up and its a different color than the rest of the car, skip to a year later all the pain is coming off it looks trashy and not to mention is a problem to trade it in now. stop lieing to people to steal their money and screw people over ZERO STARS thank for the call back too....

My experience was great in the beginning with Joe, They did take care of everything and it was very simple but the issue I m having is my truck has been messed up ever since with the four-wheel-drive the doors don t lock and something grinding while I m Driving , I ve made several attempts and phone calls to get this stuff repaired and it still not done, i ve stopped there at least five times called at least six times it s been three weeks now maybe going on four seems like once I signed the papers they we re done with me, I was told they would make an appointment to get my truck fixed and it never happened

Other dealer listings did not reply back to me so I went there for a test drive. Im happy to say that I bought the car. This dealership really has their act together. They had a full range of prices for used cars, and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. There was very little that I had to do as a buyer, and they had most of the process covered on their end. I was able to get an outstanding warranty program there as well. Joe P. was my sales rep for this one and he is right full of personality and skill. I feel like I have made a new friend. Bought a truck from these guys on January 6th, exactly 3 months and 900 miles later an hour into a 4 hour trip transmission in the truck starts slipping and shifting hard. Limp the truck home and call a local transmission shop to be told it needs a complete transmission rebuild. Called and talked to JB and was told that there was nothing they could do for me to help offset the 5k dollar fix. Was told that since I didnt purchase an extended warranty that I told them I wanted but wasnt offered, I was on my own. He also tried telling me it didnt need a rebuild it was just the fluid and I should change it, while also telling me it was a sealed unit. Ive worked on vehicles for over 15 years and never seen a Chevrolet pickup with a sealed transmission. Long story short, after a 5k dollar rebuild, and getting no semblance of care from these guys, I wouldnt buy a tricycle from these clowns.

I was in between a rock and a hard place when I reached out to mackeys! I worked with Joseph and had a good experience. I came in expecting a boxing match of shady salesmanship, but everything was up front and honest. I paid exactly what they noted as the price on their site and they threw in new tires, a spare, and a trade in cost that was more than reasonable.

Went to the dealership on Saturday and found a nice Nissan Pickup for my wife. Joseph was our salesman and he went over the truck with us, put on a plate and off we went. While out for the drive they ran all our info and in return had decent numbers for us. We agreed and bought the truck. We were going to pick it up on Thursday of the following week after being detailed and everything but the wife s truck broke down on her way to work Monday. I called Joseph and he said I ll see what I can do. About 4:30 pm I got a call that the truck was ready and to come get it. They expedited everything and took great care of us. This was by far the fastest, easiest, and friendliest car buy experience I ve ever had. I highly suggest you go visit Joe and the team!!!

I bought my car from them less 3 weeks ago. Immediately about 2 days later, I noticed the transmission jumping and it having difficulty getting up hills. They tried to make me wait two days to schedule an appointment to even take it in. Then two days later the appointment still wasnt scheduled...They took it in for service after I actually began to cry because Im a single mother and need to work. I put everything I had into buying this car. They finally took it in for service. I had to yell and explain that it wasnt unreasonable for me to want the issue addressed.They told me the next day to pick it up and it was fixed. I was surprised ...sure it needs a rebuild or new transmission They said it needed a flush and service, and when I asked for an invoice I was told it wasnt ready and needed to be emailed. It s been a week I called the next day because it began acting up again, they claim they have to make an appointment for the shop. They also dont answer because sales manager is unavailable. I know theyre trying to wait out the 30 day warranty. If anything changes I will let you know...but I would certainly as of now say to stay away!!!!!!!! This is absolutely beyond upsetting. Yes, 110,000 miles. Well I guess lemon laws will protect me, it s funny I was told LAST Monday you were working on the issue and preparing an invoice of the service provided. I have yet to receive a call or any invoice. This issue began and the car was brought in and I addressed these issues with you. But, still since Monday no call, no appointment scheduled. I have two small children you think my transmission and with my recent purchase this would be a little bit of a priority. Im glad you can respond to my review because you surely cant give a call or be available to answer the phone. I just called again this morning. What are you expecting me to drive it till it breaks down and I cant get to work to pay for it, these issues began weeks ago!!! After awhile and some waiting my transmission was replaced and all seems to be well with my car. Thank you for fixing it. I m happy I was able to get to work and provide for my kids this Xmas.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I purchased a truck from Mackey Automotive in Round Lake N.Y. at the beginning of Nov. 2023 for $14,500.00. I purchased this vehicle without going to Mackey Automotive because I was in severe pain and, I was having both my knees replaced which would be taking place on 11/15/23 and recovery would be about 2 months before I could walk. I dealt with Justin who claims to be a new salesman and learning. I also dealt with Joe P. the business Manager. Before I finalized the purchase for this vehicle I repeatedly asked both individuals 2 questions about the vehicle I was thinking of purchasing. Question 1: I asked if the frame on the truck had any rust and/or any welding done to the frame. This is done sometimes by individuals that are attemting to hide the extent of rot on frame so that a buyer might think nothing is wrong with frame but, the frames strength could be compromised or could be an expensive repair to fix or replace frame costing thousands of dollars. Justin and Joe assured me the frame was prestine with no rust or welded areas. Question 2: I asked if this vehicle would pass inspection in my state of N.H.. Again I was assured by Justin and Joe that the vehicle would pass no problems. The vehicle delivery fee was going to be $610.00 to my residence and the vehicle was delivered on 11/16/2023. I had the vehicle brought to my mechanic on 11/20/2023 which I had used for 20 years. My mechanic called me on 11/22/2023. He told me the vehicle would not pass inspection. He told me that the frame had about an 8 foot section of the frame welded over with metal plating. One of the cab corners was welded directly to the frame. The other side cab corner was rotting. The calipers on vehicle needed to be replaced as well as the rotors. The exhaust was leaking in so many places it needed to be completely redone. The emergency cable was snapped. You see where I am going with this. Of the 2 questions I asked of the salesman and business manager both answers to my questions were complete lies. Why did they even ship this vehicle knowing it would not pass the state inspection. I immediately called Mackey Automotive and have spoken to the salesman Justin as well as business manager Joe. There answer was the owner, away in Florida, was the only person that could deal with this issue but not until after Christmas. Also, no one has the ability to reach him nor does he as a business owner keep in touch with business to check how things are going while away. The vehicle I purchased is now parked in my driveway with no inspection sticker, no registered plates, me paying vehicle insurance as well as the loan I took out for the vehicle. I don t even rate Mackey Automotive a 1 star. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

Sold my daughter a jeep grand Cherokee not even 2 and a half months in it brings it to a jeep dealer needs 8k worth of work called Mackeys 1 week after purchasing it with things that needed to be be fixed and they said they fixed them but didnt sold her a warranty from another horrible company so my opinion I wouldnt buy anything from these guys they sell lemons horrible way to run a business my daughter brought all correspondence from the jeep dealer on what needs to be fixed and told her to leave cause she was angry and raising her voice what a joke of a company and the better business bureau has been notified along with New York state lemon law paper work was filled out and sent to both places and a 1 star isnt low enough to rate this place

3/23/17: I bought a 2000 Jeep Wrangler here March 20. Jessica is really nice and kept in contact with me through the out the week before I bought the Jeep. I was told however that the Jeep went through the shop and everything was checked before I bought it. As I drove the car around after I bought it I noticed it started shaking violently around 50 mph. I did some research online and saw this is called the death Wobble. It also takes a couple tries to start which it didnt do when I test drove it a week before. Im giving 2/5 stars because Im pretty sure nothing was checked or fixed on it before I bought it. I know when you buy a used old car which is 17 years old there may be a few repairs that are needed to be done, however maintenance should have caught the death wobble issue before hand. It is simply just no safe to drive and should not have passed inspection. I called Jessica a couple days later and told her what was going on. She was a big help and I am dropping the Jeep off at a garage tomorrow. 4/18/17 update: The dealership via generations auto fixed the death wobble issue after 5 or so days. They replaced the track bar, steering wheel stabilizer and joints as well as doing an alignment. I need a new fuel pump, which the dealership knew I needed but never fixed, so now Im out $800 because I sold a car that already needed work. 1/5 stars is fair I think for the dishonesty especially since there not fixing the fuel pump but fixed the death wobble. Not sure what the dealerships response is about the tires. The tires are not the problem for a death wobble issue. There is always a root cause and the tires werent it.

Absolutely terrible experience this place has been for me. I purchased a 2015 jeep compass from them in november of last year and not 2 days after having it, water started leaking through my roof and all over my car. At first the dealership was attentive in helping me solve the issue and I got a call a day later that the issue was fixed. Then again not more than a couple weeks after it started leaking more so I took it back to them and after a couple days they claimed they fixed it again. This happened 2 more times... car starts leaking, i bring it in, they claim to fix the problem and they did not. Now Ive brought the car into them 4 separate times now and after the last they promise me up down left and right that theyve fixed it for real this time and to no surprise at all, it starts leaking again! I cant even begin to imagine how bad the corrosion is and how much worse its going to get if not properly fixed. I then call again today to hopefully get it solved and I hear the gentleman talking in the background about a drain plug being clogged and thats why its leaking into the car. I then try to explain to these guys that water shouldnt be getting in there in the first place and the owner gets on the phone and starts screaming at me for being frustrated that there business has toyed with me for months over a very serious issue. The owner then told me in so little words that im on my own and they arent going to do anything to help me. When I then threatened litigation for selling me a lemon the owner laughed and said good luck with that. I would strongly urge anyone buying a vehicle to stay as far away from this place as possible because everyone at mackey automotive is shady and offer no help whatsoever.

I had been shopping for a vehicle for a while when I came across Mackeys. I looked through their inventory and saw the exact vehicle I wanted and had been searching for and it had low mileage. I scheduled an appointment to see the vehicle and test drive it. I worked with both Niko and Tyler. I worked with Niko on initial visit as well as application process. Everything went very smoothly and Niko made sure to keep me updated on the entire process and answered all of questions. Fast forward a few days and it was time to complete paperwork and pick up my car. I worked with Tyler during this process and he made sure he explained all paperwork I was signing and let me go over it before signing. When all paperwork was complete and plates were transferred to new car Tyler even helped me to get a few remaining things from my old vehicle and put on to my new one. The entire process was non stressful and easy and smooth. I am happy to have found these guys and I am so happy with my new ride.

Shopping for a truck and found a nice F150 XLT at Mackey. Tyler is a real quality person and salesman. I even had a leak when I brought it home which turned out to be an ez fix. My mechanic thought the vehicle was a solid vehicle for the year 2012 and mileage 79,700. I was happy that Tyler had the issue fixed and would recommend others to Mackey, go find your next vehicle at Mackey.

Pleasant experience purchasing a used vehicle. The salesman Tyler showed me a few different options that fit my priorities and assisted me with test driving a few different models that I was interested in. There was little to no sales pressure and I felt that the prices and value of my trade in were fair. I plan to update this after I have driven the vehicle for a few weeks. *Update: I noticed the truck needed a few things done to it after driving it for a few days. A broken washer fluid sprayer nozzle (which I believe should ve come up in the NYS inspection) and something was leaking and leaving oily spots on my driveway. I set up a time to bring it by and described the issues I was having. I left the truck with them and was very happy when I got a call to pick it up later that same day. The nozzle was replaced and I was told by a tech that they couldn t find anything leaking from the engine. He explained to me that the oily residue in my driveway must ve been from left over lubrication spray (like PB Blaster) dripping down from breaking loose a tight bolt under the vehicle. He said they cleaned up the area and it should be good. This did not seem correct to me because there would ve had to been an absolutely insane amount of it pooled up somewhere in the underside of the truck to be dripping down three full days and a few hundred miles later after driving it off the lot. He then went on to tell me that it wasn t oil because they checked the engine and explained that there are many different kinds of fluids in a vehicle and that everyone always assumes its oil when they see stains on their driveway. He also expressed some frustration with the cost of replacing the sprayer nozzle. I explained that I would be bringing it back if it was still leaking fluids after a few days. The tech suggested if it persisted to try and collect the fluid and bring it to them. The very next day there were fresh oil spots again. I crawled under the truck near the spot and was quickly able to locate the source of the problem myself. A completely rusted and horribly rotted out rear strut was leaking oil. I took a few pictures and the following morning brought the truck back to them for a second time. I showed them the pictures that I took of the strut and presented them with some of the fluid I collected as requested. The truck was left there for the remainder of that day and was ready to be picked up the following afternoon. The issue had been resolved and the part replaced.

I loved my experience at Mackeys! We put our salesman Tyler through the ringer over the past few days with trying to get approved as a first time car buyer without a co-signer as well as trying to get my monthly payments to something within my price range. He let me test drive a few different cars (I apologize for all the jumping back and forth between different vehicles over the two days) until I found the right fit. Once I found the one I liked he stayed in contact with me during the whole process of getting approved over text and by calling. Tyler was great and made sure that I got into the vehicle that I really wanted and could afford without a co-signer. The process of actually signing all the paperwork and transferring the plates was super fast and Tyler explained ever that I was signing. One of my break lights is out and I called them up and they told me stop by this week to get it fixed. Thank you so much for all of the help! I will definitely be recommending Tyler at Mackey automotive.

I had a great experience! They ended up paying off the loan for my old vehicle that needed the entire 4wd system replaced, front end work and motor work and rust repair. They got me into a newer and nicer vehicle and even fixed all the issues on that vehicle. The salesman was great. Just a tip for anyone that goes here just make sure you really look over the vehicle you are looking at or take it to a garage to have it looked over.

Great buying experience. Purchased a new to me 2016 Rubicon. Very laid back, no bs, and a very fair deal without the usual back and forth. These guys know Jeeps, their selection of used Wranglers puts my local Jeep dealerships to shame. To top it all off, when I picked up my Jeep, my payment was almost $30 less than what I was quoted.

Nice, quick & simple experience! Went in for a test drive on Saturday and I was only able to do partial down payment because the rest was still processing. Despite that, and Mackeys being closed on Sundays, all I had to do was send some info and my car was ready to take home by Monday! (Maybe that quick turn-around time is normal? Idk, this is only my 2nd car lol, and that first one was a much longer process). Bonus points that theyre open so late, it made it MUCH easier to schedule the pickup time for right after work on Monday. They got everything switched over and setup really quickly and without any hassle, and theyre refreshingly honest about their processes and such (business side and consumer financial side).

Usual used dealer bs without the knowledge Many issues with the car in first 6 months. Different size tires on an AWD vehicle not good. I had problems with credit but they did manage to get me approved for the very model I told them I would not buy. Should have trusted my instinct. Get the extended warranty you ll need it with your purchase from here within 3 months device now 4 times and rust bubbling up everywhere. None of the usual reconditions of a used car for sale was done

I was pretty happy with mackey auto I Bought a truck from them 2011 Ford F-150. First day I had it the battery exploded and they and myself replaced it. I had it exactly one month and the manifold started to leak really bad. Called Derek he said that s what I had a warranty for and that they will not cover it. Now I m stuck with a truck that needs work and I literally bought it only a month ago. Wouldn t even try to make it right. Which is horrible salesman s ship. Do anything to sell you a car but won t stand behind what they sold you.

My buying experience was pretty much what you d expect from a used car dealership, nothing to write home about. It was after I purchased a vehicle, I started to have some regrets. First: when I test drove the vehicle it had a full take of gas, left a deposit the next day and picked it up a few days later and the tank was empty. I live about an hour away and was in a rush to get home so it wasn t worth turning around to go argue with them about it, however when I later mentioned it in a phone call they did offer to fill the tank halfway. The reason for that phone call was that I was experiencing four-wheel-drive low range issues and a noise in the front axle. I didn t touch the low range during my test drive I had a jeep dealership do a pre-by inspection and they found nothing wrong. When I did get around to testing it a week later it switched to low range but would not go back only into a neutral mode and left me stranded in a parking lot. When I spoke to Derick at Mackey auto he inquired about the circumstances which were switching to low range in a parking lot without driving. He immediately started to insinuate that my actions were the cause of any defects but offered to look at it if I brought the car to them. As I stated I live over an hour away so that was not happening. I fixed the car myself it was normal wear and tear stuff nothing they would ve replaced under warranty or anything else. I guess Long story short is their actions are just a little shady just like avoiding answering certain questions in the pre-buy process Again like in the beginning of my review, what you would expect from a used car dealership.

Hello Jerry here I went looking for vehicles and drove by Mackey, because they had a nice selection of vehicles that look really clean and shiny. I stopped in for a test drive they were clean courteous and right to the point with my questions not only did they get the loan with the plates insurance and inspection with the registration all done for me. And was done within 24 hours it was like one two three four no hassles no pressure no problems in one word all I can say is fantastic and thank you Tyler, and all who participated and making me happy.wooohooo!!!

To keep this review simple, we purchased a $20,000 vehicle from this dealership. A week into having this, the check engine light came on and we brought it to a different dealer to diagnose the issue. (After the sales person Tyler went m.i.a when we reached out with our concerns). So here we are a week after bringing this to the shop, 3,000 dollars in repairs. My husband spoke to the owner and he mentioned that this is their process they do not believe in reconditioning their vehicles because they arent trying to sell new vehicles. I will add that they wanted us to bring the vehicle to them to repair... but I do not trust them at all. I have worked at three car dealerships and this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. One of my biggest concerns is that I have a small child and one of the damaged parts jeopardized the safety of my family. Please read this review and do research prior to buying a vehicle, especially now because times are tough. If Mackey automotive wants to make this right they can cut my family a check for 2500....

Tyler was the salesman and I felt very comfortable with him.All the guys are easy to work with. Well I bought a beautiful 2010 Nissan Frontier truck with only 28000 mi on it. We bought a Toyota RAV4 from Mackey Auto that was is really good condition, it needed brakes and an inspection before we could pick it up and we needed to get our loan squared away since we financed through our credit union. Never did we feel pressured into financing, warrantys or gimmicky spray on coats. Never felt any pressure at all. When we went to pick the car up, I asked if we could take it for one more test drive since we knew the brakes needed work, without hesitation they handed over the keys so we could take it for a ride. We also got great advice regarding our used car, he claimed he would purchase it from us, but that it would sell quickly if we did it ourselves and wed make more money, it wasnt up to the quality they sold themselves. He was right, we quickly sold our used car ourselves with his advice. Ive since learned friends of ours have used Mackey for a few of their own purchases and had similar great experiences. Id highly recommend them and will call them first when its time to buy our next vehicle.

Nice helpful staff

I was having a good experience with their process based on setting up an appointment. Flexible with hours around my work schedule and willing to set up a visit for appraising my old vehicle. When I got there however the salesman I was left with was rude and unwelcoming. He didnt know anything about the car we were looking at, he didnt bother to come out and chat with us about the car until the end of the visit and he just seemed like we were bothering him because he wanted to go home instead of selling a vehicle. The most appalling of all was he wasnt willing to negotiate at all, when we asked about talking numbers he said he cannot change anything, and that the car was a good one even though he specifically said he hasnt worked with it. He told us every dealership is this way, which isnt true as we negotiated a cheaper vehicle at fortillis kia in September. He was very rude and very unwelcoming, which we were expecting a small business salesman to be nice and accommodating or at least to try to sell us the car rather than telling us theres no money in his business and hes just trying to turn cars over as fast as possible. Dont go here!

Trip down memory lane.. My credit report just reminded me of this dealership. Almost 6 years ago, after multiple conversations and assurances that I wouldnt have to make a payment on my trade, they took exactly a MONTH to pay off my trade in. Still looking at a late payment on my report. The car I traded towards ended up being a money pit. Owners were awful to deal with. Im sure you can figure that out given their less than pleasant responses to some of their well deserved reviews.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. At first everything seemed fine, went in looked at and test drove a couple of the cars on the lot. While I was leaning toward a jeep, the salesman I dealt with Jason, pushed me towards a the second car I tested. A Subaru impreza wagon with what he claimed was a Turbo charged engine. He seemed really kind, dealing with me with what I thought was kindness as it was my first time buying a car. But then not even a week after having the car the check engine light came on and since I own a diagnostic device I went through and it said the catalytic converter was acting up. But when I called him about it I was given the run around. He asked I bring the car down, but when I got there he said there was not a mechanic there and I had to come back the next day. When I did just that he said the car had to be cold for them to look at it and sent me home again. When I went back a third time he claimed the mechanic issues again. After that I refused to dive the car down there and he sent a on call mechanic to my house two days after he said he would. They fixed some problems than picked the car up to bring it to a garage three cities away to fix. They claimed to have fixed the O2 sensors that they said were the issue,(said they have the bills to prove.) Not even three days after I got the car back the engine light came back on. I brought it to a Midas nearby and they put it on the lift. There is a large tare in the front boot, a slit in the transmission line with build up around it to prove it had been there for a long time, the exhaust system was so rusted out that there were holes in the tail pipe (Making it louder, what he claimed to be Turbo) and the converter IF they actually tried to get it fixed was reattached with crooked and loose screws to the point of it not being secure. There was so much wrong with the car the man said that it would never have passed inspection at all! to pass inspection there needs to be an extra 2-4000 dollars worth of work put into the car. In addition to all of this the car came back with more dents and scratches on it than when I sent it in. When I called them about this they said Midas didnt know what they were talking about and that there is nothing wrong with the undercarriage (Again I have pictures). Other things to look out about this place are harder to notice. I gave them a lump sum for a deposit on the car and added $400 to it at the date of the contract being signed. He refused to give a receipt for the money AT ANY POINT than forged the amount given to him saying that the extra $400 was never put down, and jacked up the price of the car an additional 500 than what was agreed upon. At no time was I allowed to see the contract and because they were closing i left that night without one and was not given a copy until days later. I do accept that part was a lapse in my judgement as I was still new to the car buying process and was unsure what to ask for. This place is a total SHAM. They will rob you blind!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Looked on their website saw a truck I wanted. The next day I went after work to look at it and then after looking at it talked to one of the sales guys they said it needs this, this and this and now it s been oh i dont know maybe a month and still haven t heard anything from them glad I didn t waste my money here and I bought a 4 year newer truck for the same price horrible communication skills after they told me they would be in touch after the work was done.

Fantastic experience! One thing I hate more than anything is car shopping. Its awesome to look at cars and test drive but actually buying a car is a headache id rather avoid. I just bought a car from Mackey Automotive on route 9 in Round Lake and I will tell you its doubtful Ill buy anywhere else in the future. Rick (my sales guy) was knowledgable, bluntly honest, and still a salesman, (but one I respected) they made the transition from a car I absolutely adored (but could no longer afford to have) to a new car with little to no hassle. Little to non because as any potential issue popped up it was quickly resolved by Mackey. Even if it hinted that there might be an issue it was fixed before it became one. Even after the sale was finalized they went above and beyond and followed through on all that they promised before the deal was done. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking to buy a car. That is like me and dreads the thought of dealing with car salesman and dealerships that will promise you the moon to close the sale and refuses to follow through, I would recommend this dealership to anyone who hasnt had a particular bad experience buying cars but wants a good deal and even better service. You sell two cars in one day, one to my grandmother inlaw and the other to my girlfriend 2 and a half weeks ago. The grandma inlaws Buick died today and yesterday we found out the girlfriends car needs tie rods tires and a cat and theres all sorts of issues with the front end. What are you guys doing?? Also how do you take someones car from work supposed to be there at 830am dont show up till 11:30 and youre supposed to drop it back off at 3:45. But instead drop it off with an empty tank of gas at 6:30 pm.. and I have so many legitimate questions for example. Why did you sell us a vehicle with cleared fault codes and no explanation. Why did you sell us a vehicle with issues and tell is the warranty will cover it. Do you not understand that is fraud? And How in the hell did the girlfriends car pass inspection with bald tires and a blown out tie rod and worn ball joint?? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHADY DEALER.

I Purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler from Mackeys In January of this year. Im going on almost 3 months with the car. I am mechanically inclined as i owned my own landscaping business for years and have had to work on my own truck and equipment. During my test drive i realized the brakes were absolutely gone, the fact that they were allowing people to test drive such a vehicle is insane. They did offer to change the brakes for me before purchasing it, as any dealer should do. Here in lies the problem, about two weeks into having the vehicle i was on my way home going about 60mph, and i heard a loud clunk. at that time the caliper is now rubbing against the inside of my rim because one of the caliper bolts had flew out. i pull over to realize this, and have to crawl home, luckily i was almost there, with my foot on the brake the whole time so the caliper doesnt destroy the inside of my rim. Get it home and it had to sit where it was because i was unable to put it in reverse without doing more damage to the rim and caliper. luckily, i knew how to fix it and had to go find a bolt that fit, which is not easy, and threw a new bolt in. while i was underneath the jeep i realize that who ever did my brakes for me at the dealership did not tighten the caliper bolts down AT ALL, they were barely even hand tight. I have been waiting to resolve my most recent problem to make this review, about one month into owning the vehicle i start to notice puddles left behind where Ive been parking, at the same time it has also been getting stuck in gears and going into limp mode. Turns out the fluid on the ground is automatic transmission fluid. so i investigate further, had to add 2 quarts to my transmission to get it back up to a good level, meanwhile the leak is getting worse and i cannot locate where it is coming from. all my cooling lines are pretty solid, not leaking from there. A trip to my transmission mechanic and $500 later i needed a new transmission pan and and gasket because it was rotted to hell. At the time of picking my jeep up from the mechanic, he asks me who does your brakes? and immediately ask why, and he tells me that i was missing ANOTHER caliper bolt, on the opposite side from before. I shared my story with him and luckily he threw another bolt in to keep me going. Did i go back to the dealership for recourse on any of these issues? No, i wouldnt trust them to hold my beer, like hell am i letting them work on my jeep after proving to me they cant even do a brake job correctly. I do love my jeep wrangler, but the experience i have had with has cost me time and money due to negligence of the dealership.

Car was fair priced and the buying process was fine. Only thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars was that I agreed upon asking price for the vehicle on the condition that all maintenance would be done. The salesman agreed upon it, we shook hands and did the paperwork. Upon picking up the car the oil and the brake fluid were not done as the cars maintenance reminder stated. Not a big deal, I can get that done myself however if something is promised and shook upon it should happen. Especially for the price I paid for my car. That really bugs me. Place was fine though with a nice selection of cars.

I purchased my car two days ago from this dealer and had very pleasant and great experience. It was Ric Jesmain who led us throughout the whole purchases procedure including, inspection and preparation of the car, partial auto loan processing, and other document works. He was very professional and responsible person who processed all of these without taking much time from us. He told us what to do in each step and we just responded his guidance. He even put the license plate and kindly removed all the sticker stains on the windows in the middle of show fall. From the start to the end, this was great experience for us in this purchase. Update: After I purchase the car, we found a small crack on the mesh below the front grill. We reported this to Ric and he promised to order the part for us. We are currently waiting for the part to be delivered to the dealer so the damaged mesh can be replaced. I will update about this again after the service is done.

Car I purchased did not have a working key fob . The day I picked up the car. The sales associate said he would give me a new key and now a year later still never got anything but false promises. They even went so far to tell me that if I took down my bad reviews they would help me out but still nothing. Trust me do not buy a car from this dealership.

Very bad at returning phone calls or text

The reason for only 4 and not 5 stars is that it did take much longer than expected to get the car working in excellent condition. About a month to get my car in working order, but it was well worth the wait. It also had a 1 year warranty on the powertrain, etc. The sales help are very friendly and helpful. My patience paid off and again I am glad that I waited.

2007 DODGE CHARGER SRT8 - Andre Ellis I bought A 2007 dodge charger SRT8 in november 2016. 5 days after i got it home the front passenger side brake caliper which was bad caused a leak and contamination of brake fluid. I had no brakes. i took the car to my local auto repair shop because i live nearly 200 miles away from the dealership. The cost of repairs came to $514.00 out of my own pocket. I informed the dealership about the situation with the car and gave them the repair shops number they never called and i was not reimbursed for the cost of the repairs.

I was a first time buyer and they did everything possible to help me get into the exact vehicle I wanted! Very nice people

I have bought a few used cars each time learned a bit more. First always do you homework. What are common issues, faults. How cheap is it to repair. Book a multi point inspection with the car manufacturers dealer. Cost $150 but always a good investment even if it turns you away. The people here will listen but make sure its a deal you want. Be prepared for it to take a week at most to complete the deal. Always be prepared to walk. Its just a car. I was always well greeted both phone and in person. It wasnt smooth. And some of the issues originally brought up was not fully addressed right away and took a few more visits. But I understand im buying a used car. The guys never gave up and worked hard.I

I bought a 2008 Avalanche only a few months ago. While I love the truck, and am content with the price I paid, the entire process was frustrating. During the test drive, the stereo system did not work. This was a vehicle that had been sitting on the lot for nearly a year, and still had no working stereo while being advertised as having a premium Bose sound system. I was charged $400 by Mackey to repair this, which took over a week of promises that it would be done today. Now, I just had to spend $600 on brakes because the pads were shot, rotors warped, and calipers leaking. The transmission cooler lines are also leaking. There is no way this vehicle should have actually passed inspection. On top of that, the truck has locking lug nuts with no available key, which had to be destroyed by the Chevy dealership to access the brakes. I find it incredibly hard to believe that the wheels were even removed to pass inspection at time of service. I am still content with the price I paid, and otherwise very much enjoy the truck. However, I felt I was given a run around while purchasing, and if I didnt have a good friend at a Chevy Dealer, I would be in a lot more trouble getting required work done. I believe its only pure luck that I havent found more major problems with the truck, and as I said, if I had purchased any other brand than GM with these issues, I would have been screwed.

Fraudulent in their business! I purchased a vehicle Dec 10, 2016. Live out of state 2hrs away. Their website is very deceiving our vehicles go through a thorough inspection and detailing process. Salesman tells you everything you want to hear just to make the sale. Went to inspect the vehicle and it would not pass...shocks, struts, ball joints, rear brakes, TPM system etc. Called them and faxed paperwork over and they insisted I go to another business for an inspection, insinuating I knew the people doing the first inspection. After 2nd failed inspection they agreed for me to drive 2hrs back to their business for repairs. They wouldnt reimburse me for repairs to be done in my State. I brought the vehicle back and waited 9hrs for alleged repairs to be done with them returning the vehicle at 6:30pm with no paperwork backing the repairs but assured me that they would fax me the paperwork the next day. I also requested reimbursement for the 2 failed inspections and gas for the travelling which they said they would send out also. I made several phone calls, left messages for the manager and emailed request numerous times. At first I did get email response and confirmation of getting the reimbursement out in the mail to me. However, that has never come. I also requested AGAIN the name of the garage that did the repairs and a phone number to follow up as I have been told when I had the vehicle serviced that the vehicle needs ball joints and lower control arms at a quote of $870.00. If they repaired them there should be a warranty. I was told everything functioned properly including the sunroof which opens and closes but, I discovered doesnt seal, when I brought it through the car wash and water poured into the vehicle.This would have been noticeable when they did their thorough detailing process! I am now wondering if they actually did bring it to a mechanics garage or to one of their own home garages and worked on it themselves and possibly taking parts off an identical year, make, and model vehicle because they wont produce an invoice. I now need to replace the idler pulley and the bell crank along with ball joints and lower arm controls. I already replaced the serpentine belt. Understand it was purchased used however for the price I paid and how they rave their dealership is conscientious and their vehicles are thoroughly inspected and put through a thorough detailing, I consider them unreliable and fraudulent in their business. I have contacted THE NEW YORK STATE CONSUMERS FRAUD COMPLAINT SYSTEM and urge others to file complaints as well.

The sales-person was very honest from the beginning, precise & accurate about everything pertaining to the car I bought from them. The customer service over-all was good also. Unfortunately, my review of this dealership is very negative. Although I found a low mileage vehicle at a fair price, I quickly realized after receiving the vehicle that it had a fraudulent inspection sticker on it as the rear breaks were worn so low that there werent any rear brakes. After receiving the vehicle, I brought it to a NYS licensed inspection auto body shop for inspection. The auto body shop photographed the problem areas and informed me that I should not be driving the vehicle as it was unsafe and should not have passed inspection. I was forced to pay $700 in repairs since the dealership was 2 1/2 hours away and the truck could not be driven back to the dealership without the repairs. Originally, the vehicle was found online on the Mackey Automotive site and I contacted the dealership to do the transaction over the phone and have the truck delivered to me for my 10th Anniversary. Being 2 1/2 hours away, I was a prime target for the dealership to get away with fraud. Immediately after the inspection of the vehicle locally, I provided photo evidence of the problems with the vehicle along with the invoice for the repairs. I simply requested to be reimbursed for the work that should have been completed prior to the vehicle being delivered. At first, I was hoping this was all just an oversight on the part of the dealership. It became apparent very quickly that all of the negative reviews on this business were very true. Is it too much to ask when you pay full price for a vehicle from a dealership for it to be delivered in an operable condition? This situation had SCAM written all over it. I was told that I had to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for it to be inspected and that the NYS Inspection was NOT done at the dealership, but by a third party. This was a total red flag to me. Why would a reputable dealership not have the authority to inspect the vehicles they sell? Its because the inspection was fraudulent. Any trained automotive professional would have quickly noticed the absence of rear breaks. The dealership knew I was 2 1/2 hours away and that I was not going to be able to bring the vehicle back with or without the repairs being completed. A. if I did not have the repairs done, the vehicle was not able to be driven without rear brakes B. if I had already completed the work, there was nothing for the dealership to do except reimburse me for the repairs, which they are not willing to do. To add insult to injury, the $500 deposit put on the vehicle was never deducted from the financed total of the vehicle. Again, I assumed this was an oversight and simply asked for the dealership to apply $500 deposit to the cost of transporting the vehicle, which was estimated at at about $300. I never received a credit for the difference or an invoice for the transport total. So the difference was pocketed by the dealership. I have given Mackey Automotive every opportunity to correct their mistake and simply reimburse me for the repairs. I am a business owner and understand the difficulties in running a business. So I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. This is not a case of a difficult customer. I paid full price for the vehicle and the transport. The transaction was completed remotely requiring very little effort on the part of the dealership. I was provided with a vehicle that should never have been put on the road. I have three small children that would be traveling in that vehicle. Thank God I brought it for the inspection. In summary, this is a true case of fraud. I was hoping this situation would have ended amicably. Yet, I am in the process of pursuing legal action against this company.

The car had so many problems (thousands of dollars worth and never should have past inspection) and they dont return phone calls to try and work it out. Tried to mediate through BBB and got no where as they refused to respond to that as well. I would warn people to stay away from this business and go to a reputable dealer. Oh, they offered us $50 for each good review we did online. So if you see a good review, it was paid for. BUYER BEWARE.

I should have gone with my gut, Dishonest , unprofessional, had the car 3 months and have had to replace both ball joints even after Justin assured me they were good. We now are replacing the starter, wheel bearings are next, Be smarter then I was , BUY ELSWHERE .

Stopped in as I was driving by to test drive a vehicle. One of the employees drove the vehicle over a good sized curb which impacted the frame twice. It was like something out of a sitcom. After that there was no way I was doing business with them. Everything about the place and the salesman was very uncomfortable. I got out of there quickly so I could do business with real professionals and not have my time wasted.

BEWARE!!! Mackey is a crook. Knowingly sells vehicles that are crap! Didnt even make first payment on the truck and now needs a new engine. Only had it for 4 days after purchase. Gave me the run around for 3 weeks . Wont return the truck or even fix it. Says he always sells vehicles like this to his customers. If you are going to buy anything from him get the number of a good lawyer!!! Paying on a truck for $9000 i cant even drive.......more to come

BUYER BEWARE!! I took my 2 small children to Mackey Auto because they had a car that i thought i was interested in. When i walked inside I noticed a VERY STRONG smell, of what i believed to be an illegal substance. I asked the salesman what that was and he apologized but hinted the owner partakes in activities (if you know what i mean) and that was what i was smelling. I immediately got my children out of there. I asked for information on the car including a CARFAX report, the salesman tried to tell me that a auto check was the same but i insisted on a CARFAX report. It took nearly 20 minutes to get me the report which i thought was very strange, and it showed no accidents and a clean history. That night i brought my boyfriend to look at the car and he said it looked like it had been wrecked. We went home and ran our own CARFAX, it showed 2 accidents and frame damage, we couldnt believe that Mackey Auto would alter the CARFAX like that. We had heard about their reputation and now we know that it is true. Please do yourself a favor, there are hundreds of preowned dealerships out there DO NOT go to Mackey Automotive EVER!!
