I had a flat and Chris Ridge Services was the closest service station on the list. The woman answering the phone wa very pleasant and they were able to plug the hole in my tire right away. I would definitely use them again!

This is one of the best *businesses* I've ever been to. They are welcoming, kind, and explanatory. With mechanics, and cars in general, something needing to be replaced can be daunting and lead to other repairs- this is especially true for small shops. Chris Ridge will never nickel and dime you, they'll give you a call if anything costs a dollar more than stated, and the work they do is great. Nothing but great things to say about this place.
My transmission failed and I saw they had a great rating on recommended AAA facilities. I personally was never there prior or knew anyone who had been there. They promptly diagnosed the issue as the radiator and hose. Chris personally talked me through what needed to be done and expectations for the car in the future. I also received a very detailed receipt with the cost of parts and labor. It felt good knowing I was not ripped off as sometimes places do shady things with cars, especially when you don’t understand mechanics of vehicles.They had the job done in a day and I left as a future customer with full trust in them. I am 100% satisfied with them.
Working with Chris Ridge Services was an unexpected (AAA tow to the nearest location), yet incredibly pleasant experience; when I ran into significant car trouble, Chris Ridge Services were nothing but accommodating and helpful; in fact, they went above and beyond to work with me in terms of storing the car, diagnosing the vehicle, and ultimately scrapping the car for me. This is one of the best auto repair shops I have ever worked with- accommodating, communicative, and so pleasant as well as understanding. I HIGHLY recommend using Chris Ridge Services to anyone looking for honest diagnostics, skilled mechanics, and wonderful pleasant customer service skills... Dead battery. Jump the battery, drove across the street, they installed a new one. Took 30 mintues. They are wonderful. Scheduled additional services to be done. Will go no where else.

Had a check engine light before inspections and they fixed the many issues with the car. They know what theyre doing and they give you an itemized receipt and explain the problem very well. They are super reliable. I trust the services they provide.

My car broke down over the weekend. I looked up nearby mechanics that were AAA certified and I chose this location. The gentleman that took my car in was very courteous, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The next day he called me with the issue, the work and parts that were needed along with an estimate on the cost. I had my car fixed and ready in a few hours. I look forward to returning with any additional repairs I might need and will reccomend Chris Ridge to my friends.
Typical mechanic we re they think females don t know anything! Overall very poor customer service and service. I took my car here after it died and they told me I left a light on and that my car is fine. I insisted that this was incorrect and that I know my car, and something isn t right. After charging me $200 to charge my battery they sent me on their way. One month later, after my car continued to start slow and have problems my car dies at the gas station. I called them the next day, and they said they couldn t get me in till after the holidays, but if I was to go get it looked at, and it resulted that it was their fault, they would take care of it. Turns out that my battery was bad, which resulted in my car ding multiple times. When I spoke to the manager he told me he would not be doing anything to compensate me for my troubles, was very short, and didn t apologize. Overall the worst customer service. Claims he didn t make a mistake when I have proof that he did.

Shop was clean, safe. I was towed to them, they worked me in their schedule because I was driving from out of state. Located a respectable hotel for me to spend the night, finished the repair following morning and I was on my way. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing repair

My Aunt and myself have been using Chris Rudge services when his father was there over 30 years ago. My Aunt introduced me to them 20 years ago. Myself I dealt with Chris and never had a problem with him working on my cars. They where honest and fair and stood behind there work. Now he has his son also involved in the business. Three generations of great service. They will call with the price of the work being done ahead of time. I usually let him check the car every six months to see what I would need to be done ahead of time so I dont have any surprises. I would give them a 10 and the highest being 10. Check them out and compare the professional service they provide.
Very friendly there, they usually try to accommodate and get you in and out as best as possible, good work done and I can say the prices are also pretty fair .
Helped me get home safely after having my car malfunction, due to bad transmission fluid, on the GW Bridge. They were able to check my car out right away and get it running correctly, so that it could be driven another 5 hours away. I really appreciated the service and professionalism when I was stuck far away from home.

Came here during Covid to get my car inspection sticker. Service was really great, very quick, polite and friendly staff. Only took off one star because they werent wearing a mask. Could be because the doors were all open in the building, but it did take me by surprise.

I am a 25+ year customer of this place. That in itself should tell you all you need to know, but Ill spell it out anyway. Theres plenty of competition in the Rutherford area, but I still choose this place due to reliability, honesty, and excellent service. Chris has helped keep my Jeep in service for 20 years. My latest experience involved getting towed in on a Saturday. Monday morning the problem, solution, and price were given to me. By Tuesday, I was up and running (it would have been same day if not for the other vehicles ahead of me also brought in on the weekend). Thanks Chris!

Great service. Friendly, honest people. I have been going here for several years. They track your service. I once asked for additional service during an oil change and they reminded me I did it last year and didnt need it yet. I appreciated their honesty and the fact that they dont always try to upsell you everytime you bring your car in.
