We took the van to a different shop and found that the problems that we were told by R and R were lies. The other shop said that R and R were taking advantage of us because it was our son s handicap van and quoted us $1800 to fix the repair was only $300 at the other shop. I will never use R and R for service again.

I had a great experience with R&R+. I was really impressed with their flexibility and openess to helping me save on some costs on a bundle of expensive repairs. They were easy to talk with and really helped in facilitating a challenging repair!

First off, I want to say I had an overall good experience. The shop was willing to install my supplied parts, and I was wishy washy about what I wanted done and they worked with me. They got my vehicle in and out. I was having stalling issues, starting issues and acceleration issues. It had no codes until I started driving to the shop, so I figured fuel pump. They provided me with an 8k build sheet, which was rough. I denied the diag and the build recommendations, and they put in the fuel pump. It went into limp mode on the way home, but now it had codes so I scanned it once I got home. It was the MAF. 100 bucks later all issues solved. It was disappointing they didnt hook up a scan tool and let me know even if I denied the 145 dollar diag (auto parts stores do it free, and I used my 40 dollar scan tool). All the codes were for the MAF and it took less than two minutes to scan and identify the real issue. Also, they recommended upper control arms and lower ball joints due to play, but those are super tight, and they missed that I had no sway bar end link installed on the passenger side, which I was unaware of until I checked the ball joints and control arms. All in all, its a good shop, but expensive, and know what you want before you go in or theyll throw the book at you. Im personally going to find another shop to handle stuff I cant do without a lift. An $8k sheet on a 14k Suburban is pretty steep, especially for a lot it didnt need. I broke down what it actually does need (leaks Im aware of) and it was $2400 bucks. If they had offered just those I would have gone for it. Again, really nice individuals, but like most shops, they seem more concerned with upsales than customer service or integrity. Edit: I cant seem to reply to the owners response, but correction, the sway bar end link is on the RO, and I can admit that! I took my vehicle to another shop to review the rest of the 6k of added work, listed below: ATF exchange, brake flush, Front and Rear Diff flush, ATF transfer case flush, air induction service, fuel injection service, and 8 cylinder tune-up. All of this was done over the last 2 years, and it has brand new plugs / wires and the fluids look great (RO shows fluids look dark). My point is this, read the low star reviews, this shop throws the book at you, and is unapologetic about it. Again, everyone there was super nice, and worked with me, but the real issue was identified in 2 min and cost 100 bucks.

Had a RAV4 and a 4Runner in within 2 weeks of each other. Repairs were diagnosed and completed with no issues.

The service is great, communication is on-point, and the prices are reasonable. I ve had a couple problems with the results of repairs but R&R has tried to make it right ASAP. Getting a vehicle in and worked on can be a bit frustrating these days due to demand / capacity I dislike how R&R asks you to drop off your vehicle and wait for days other shops do appointment booking.

I have always been happy with the service I get here at R&R. Everyone who I speak with is helpful and responsive.

They did an ok job diagnosing our car but it took 2 whole days to get to it and they didnt even fix anything after all that. We cut our loses on time and decided that we will be going somewhere else. They also had multiple advertisements inside that registration was $35 but out the door they charged me a little over $45. I was in a hurry so I couldnt ask why but seems a bit like false advertising.

Poor communication, no rush attitude make repairing your car here frustrating. I called to get my vehicle in and they stated it would take about 1 day because of the backlog, 4 days later they looked at the vehicle. I called everyday to get an update and was told possible the next day as they shuffled me between techs. R&R Automotive never called me, even after the vehicle was done and ready to be picked up. To add frustration I had an extended warranty that I gave to them when I dropped off. They did not call them to get coverage. My next issue revolves around price. The part was $168.33 Labor was $406.00. I called around to other shops to see what the labor time was. Each shop told me that it was 1.3 hours to repair my vehicle. Just in labor that would be $312 an hour. This is unacceptable highway robbery. To others considering this location I state Buyer beware.

Absolutely the best mechanic experience I ve had with any of my vehicles. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, and above everything else, HONEST! Simple diagnostic of my ac and heater and could ve charged me the full fee, but was only charged the cost of the fuse. Just gained a customer for life. Honesty is hard to find these days in businesses, but I m glad I found it here. Highly recommend

R and R has been the most professional, patient, and honest service weve ever found and trusted to work on our vehicle. They answered our many questions, went above and beyond to explain the steps needed to repair our vehicle, did not overcharge for the service provided, and researched the parts needed when other shops couldnt find the parts. Emissions for registration. In and out in about 20 minutes, service was great.

I wasn t going to give them a review, I have thought on this for the last few days and I have to voice my thoughts on my experience. So here it is. I called Friday and spoke to a Jason about an alignment and I was very specific, on what I was looking for. I had just put a new lift on my truck and I wanted to make sure that they were willing to and able to complete the work accordingly. Meaning what I was asking for is not to factory specs due to me trying to run bigger tires and I wanted them to adjust my upper control arms with 2-5 degrees of castor so my tires don t rub and everything lines up perfectly. I was very very specific with Jason. He said he would need it all day and that I could have it there Monday to complete the work then. I dropped my truck off Sunday night used their drop box and even had a hand written note on what I was looking for and left my number if they wouldn t be able to do it or any other questions. Monday around 3pm I called to see when I would need a ride to get my truck I m not sure who I spoke with but he didn t know anything and had to put me on hold. He finally came back and said it was done I asked him about the specifics on what I asked to be done and he said yes everything was done to what I asked of R&R. I picked my truck up around 430-5 and guess what? What I asked to have done wasn t done and that on the paperwork they wrote, it was done to factory specs. So not only 2 phone calls of being told no problem they would do the work and a hand written note with my number that the mechanic could give me a call if needed. My tires rub and I will have to take it to another shop to have the work done. I wouldn t waste my time with this shop, they are on the more expensive side and I don t mind spending the extra money on my cars if they are doing a good job. Even if they would have called and said I know we said we couldn t do the work but after digging into it we can t for whatever reason. I would have been bummed but at least they were transparent but that didn t happen. I exhausted all of my avenues to communicate what I was looking for and was left disappointed and out 125 bucks just to have to pay for my truck to get another alignment from another shop. So they are really expensive when you are just donating your money to them to have another shop do the work. And no r&r in won t be back for any reason it would be cheaper to have my truck towed to another shop then to have you not complete the work.

Fast and honest

The starter on my car died and they were able to fix that for $1200 as well as replace my timing belt. They had my car for over a week. They never called me to give me any sort of status update or even tell me the car was done. I had to call them five different times to see when I could get my car back.

told them specifcally what was wrong with my car when it was dropped off, and was told the part would be ordered day of. I called them about 5 days later asking about my car, only to be told they hasnt ordered the part that was needed. They told me that they hadnt found the problem and wouldve called me, and they never did. After they ordered what I believed had already been order 5 days late, they never called me to tell me my car was done.

Got me in the next day. Did what they needed to do. No oversell.

The shop was super busy but they came through and finished my vehicle on time and at less cost than expected. I couldn t be happier.

On the pricier side. We ve taken our vehicles there for breaks and rotors. They ve done a decent job. Still kinda squeaks but no biggy! They will always come back with a ton of other things that need to be done. Said our alternator needed to be replaced asap. I was skeptical bc there were no signs of battery dying etc. Took it somewhere else to confirm and they said it was fine. It s been 2 weeks and no sign of battery or car failing issues. Time will tell I guess lol. Overall decent mechanics imo. Convenient for me bc they re close. 2.5 stars.

A companys integrity isnt based on whether or not they make mistakes, but rather what they do about it. Not to get into details, but a mistake was made. When I brought my car back in, they took immediate action, hooked me up with a loaner car, and fixed the mistake. I fully recommend this place. My experience with them was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly to me. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Brock, Ian, and Jesse have been 10/10 with communication, honesty, and capability. My work truck had steering problems, so I took it to 3 different mechanic shops and R&R were the only ones who could diagnose the problem AND fix it. It made me so happy to get that done. And then a few months later my truck had a nasty coolant leak, so I brought it to R&R and they fixed that too. These guys definitely know what theyre doing. Theyre the best mechanics Ive ever worked with. Highly recommend

I just picked up my truck, I brought it in to have two things worked on, 1st it had a ticking coming from the dash board, second the heat blew constantly even when turned off. one thousand dollars later, I picked it up and on my way home my tachometer needle fell off and was rolling around inside the unit. I was told from R&R that they didnt do it and it would be $230 to have them fix it. I brought it back. When I picked it up I was told that they couldnt replace it so they glued it back on and that if it fell off again, just to stick electrical tape over the whole and dont use my tachometer. The following day on my way to work the heat kicked back on from my vents without having turned anything on. Which was the major reason I brought it to them . I give up... Time to take it to the dealer which is what I should have in the first place. I Give them two stars for trying ???

My brakes went out; forcing me to choose the closest mechanic to my location. Im new in town and didnt know where to go anyway. I lucked out with R&R. They also fixed my e-brake without charging or asking. It was a super simple fix; I just never got around to doing it. So shout out to Josh and whoever else re-did my rear drum brakes; ironically, had I taken the time to order the $10 part, and the 15 minutes it takes to install it, that e-brake would have really come in handy when the brakes went out

I took my car in with an engine misfire. I ran the codes myself and told them I thought it was the spark plug in cylinder 5. I was told they were backed up but they should be able to diagnose my car sometime in the next 2 days. 3 days at the most. Well after 6 days at their shop they hadn t even looked at my car yet. Let alone put me in the que for repair. I picked my car up and took it to a shop down the road. They had the issue diagnosed (a cylinder 5 spark plug) and repaired the next day. If you are hoping for a timely repair and good customer service I wouldn t recommend R&R.

Their customer service and work ethic is fantastic. I was referred to them by my uncle who says that they are the best and I completely agree. I have gone in for a few check engine diagnostics and they have never charged me if they couldnt find it or if it was a minor fix. I highly recommend them to anyone and its worth the wait because they are so trustworthy.

This shop was very helpful. They showed me all the things they would recommend I do to fix my car. They prioritized them without being pushy. I was able to make the decision without them feeling they needed to twist my arm. They respect their customers. Their prices seemed fair.

I go there to wash my car before I go and pick up my mom from Saratoga Springs, UT. Good facility to go to for mechanic stuff as well. It is a decent place to check your vehicle.

Washed the RV here, and the timer is actual real time! Other car washes in the area say you have 5 minutes but really its only 2.5 and constantly beeps for you to pay more money, here is not that way! Great wash, great price, I wasnt rushed, I was very pleased.

Business seems incapable of checking their posted email even though they want you to coordinate an appointment.

We took our car in for a huge oil leak about a month ago, R&R Automotive did their point system and came back with several issues to fix including the oil leak. It was around 1000 dollars to fix all the things supposedly wrong with our car. After getting our car home from R&R Automotive, two days later the huge oil leak was under our car again. We took it back in to R&R and they said that they missed this huge oil leak the first time and that it would cost us around 1200 dollars to fix. Obviously, R&R Automotive are completely dishonest in their business dealings by fixing little things knowing that you will have to come back to get the big things fixed, even when the big thing is why you brought your car to them in the first place.

Shops going down hill because they just care about money.

Had an emergency with my car and they were very helpful. So patient with me and priced everything out for me. I looked at options to get the parts elsewhere and they were super patient with me, talking thru my options. Very good customer service. Very good experience in a stressful situation.

UPDATE: I went to Big O with my latest old-car issue last week. They diagnosed the bad fuel pump with no diagnostic fee - imagine that! There were also no Shop Supplies extra charge on the bill - even though changing a fuel pump would likely require shop supplies, unlike installing a blower fan under the dash (R&R do better). They did not suggest 10 additional things to fix on the car - imagine that! Price was fair, service was good, I was treated like a valued customer. Thats how going to the mechanic should be. Thanks for reading. ORIGIONAL REVIEW: Id been to R&R several times with no Diagnostic Fee. Suddenly when I have my son drop off the car there is $125 diagnostic fee on the bill. My son told them the heater fan wasnt blowing. They charged $125 to test that there was electricity at the fan and said they need to replace the blower motor. $125 unexpected charge, and the owner would not budge on his charges when I expressed my surprise and disappointment. All in all, $340 bill to replace a blower motor ($56 at AutoZone and maybe 30 minutes to install it myself). I understand high prices usually go with auto repair. But be warned about extra charges for inexperienced customers. If you want to send your son to a mechanic and have a good experience, go somewhere else.

Towed a vehicle here, noticed they had an on site self service car wash. I might have found a new favorite wash. The soap comes out with a nice flow and has very good pressure. The truck came out pretty sharp.

I love this place! They are always busy so keep that in mind if you are on a time restraint but they are good guys and I have never received anything but good service from them. I also feel like they are super honest about what s worth repairing. They do their due diligence trying to find parts that are both new and used. Their prices seem a little high to me but that is also coming from someone who knows nothing about cars. They are the only auto shop in Saratoga but I d still go to them even if they weren t.

I was in an accident and went looking for a place that would take a look at my car. I thought it was a blessing that after so many no s or waiting for a month R&R said they could get my car in, in only a few days. Needing my car I set the appointment. When I showed up for my appointment everyone was fairly friendly and helpful. Being that we re still in a pandemic, When asked for my keys I inquired if I would be able to pull my car around to the garage. A worker turned to me and told me to Take my car somewhere else , the individual helping me just said yeah, sorry Confused, irritated I left the establishment. I want a mechanic that can answer questions, not one that gets angry and upset when you ask a question that doesn t even involve the work. I will never again go to R&R because of its extremely unprofessional conduct. UPDATE: After the owners response I feel validated in the decision not to use this company in the future. The appropriate response to the question asked would have been a simple (yes we can or no we can not) answer. Not instructions to find a new mechanic and take my car elsewhere. I will not be considering R&R in the future as I don t believe I would be able to trust the instruction I could be given.

Terrible customer service. I will never take another vehicle to this repair shop. Ian and Mike (the supposed owners - Im actually shocked that they own the business given the way they treat customers) are all about $$$ and care very little about customers. Im guessing the business is struggling financially given the no bend stance they took on taking my money. Even after admitting they could not fix the problem I brought the vehicle in for. Im out over $800 total and several months of my time. Not to mention, towing my vehicle back to them several times after they claimed it was repaired. Steer clear of these guys!

DO NOT USE R&R Automotive. They are sketchy and will charge you up the wazoo! We brought our Chevy Traverse into them with the engine light on. They said the only option was to rebuild the valves for $4500. When pressed they didnt have other options or work with me on price. I took it to another mechanic who sandblasted the values for carbon build-up and while in there they found that a valve spring was broken (Which was the real problem). They charged me $1300. It was such a better experience being treated like a human vs a dollar bill. Shop around and youll likely find better care and a better price.

Asked for bearing to be fixed and get a quote/check my front struts. The individual I spoke with said they would do that. After the car was done my driver side handle was broken. I was quoted to get $4,000 worth of work including my now broken handle, (no quote for struts was given) but a large assortment if odds and ends instead where added. One quote included getting my ABS fixed for $450 when my vehicle does not have a ABS system. The man at the desk claimed his shops integrity; If thats the case, perhaps better communication is needed with workers and customers. After making a fuss about the handle they said they would fix it for free. But why go back if they are just going to break something else.

Very disappointing. First of all they took 2 weeks to even get to my car. Then they came up with a laundry list of items they recommended fixing. I paid for what I took the car in for, and took the car to Tunex. Tunex looked over the car and said that I didnt need practically all the things that R&R recommended. Dont go there. Its shady and dishonest what they do.

They didn t cheat me. I had an oil leak and they fixed it super fast. Like it only took a full day. One thing really good is that they inspect everything free of charge before giving you the info on what your car needs. They were also super professional when they told me what was going on and properly advised me on all my options. They didn t try to upsell me with inappropriate services and I think they may have washed my car. I m not Sure. But ya .I just moved here to Saratoga Springs and it looks like I got my go to auto mechanic now.

I had an oil pump replaced on my 2005 Silverado. When I got it home and started it the next day there was a whining noise coming from the oil pump area. Well...I took it back to R & R and they said it was covered under their 2 year warranty. They replaced the pump and spent extra time making sure everything was right with my truck. I highly recommend R & R if you need work done or just need regular maintenance! They are awesome!!!

The communication and service at R&R is exceptional! They have free courtesy inspections and are quick to get things done. I dont take my sports car anywhere else!

Best car shop, hands down. The people I spoke to were kind and a pleasure to talk to (Ian and Jesse). Work was done quickly, and it was the best price that I could find. They also gave me a list of things theyd recommened I get done(which I expected), but there was zero pressure or salesy insistence that I get them done. Ill use them again soon for a couple of things that are in need of fixing.

This place is my favorite Auto Repair Shop.

My fiancee brought in her car for an emissions test, but the check engine light was on. We left the car there so they could run diagnostics, and hopefully fix the problem. That was on a Wednesday. Each day for several days we called for a status, and each time we were told that it they hadnt got to it yet, and it was next on the list or that the technician was not in. By the following Monday evening we had enough and picked the car up. We took it to another shop who has been able to take care of it in a timely manner. I understand if youre busy, but dont give us the run around.

Honest experts! We have taken our car to a big chain tire place for years. That chain would just slap on the tires in a quick hurry and send us on our way. We had 4 broken lug nuts after that. This year we bought tires from R&R and couldn t be happier with the service and results! Mike was able to show us why our tires kept wearing quickly and unevenly. He was able to fix the issue so our new tires will last a lot longer! He also replaced all of the broken lug nuts. WOW what a smooth ride now. Ian was friendly and open about discussing the issues with our car. There was no pressure just a clear conversation of what was needed. His customer service makes you feel comfortable and we even witnessed him unlocking the door after they had closed to help an elderly lady who was having car problems and was worried about driving the vehicle any further. Ian stayed late to help her get on her way! We will be taking all of our vehicles here from now on!

Needed my brakes done and these guys were $400 cheaper than a big chain store by Smiths. They did mention dinner other things my truck needed, but printed out that info and didnt try to upsell me.

Theyre service was thorough. Never have I had a car shop call me on my phone just to inform me of an underying issue without immediarely attemping to sell me a product or service after. They gave me clear and concise advice on what my options were to save money and prevent future issues with my power steering and transmission. No extra cost, and my 8 year old car runs like brand new!

Not the worst auto shop.

I was traveling from out of town and my brand new vehicle started making concerning noises. I called every dealership in the valley and no one would see me for at least five days. I even stopped at another shop and begged them to look. They told me I was fine to drive but the noise continued. My gut told me I needed to have it looked at again. I called here and was told they would work me in to help! When I pulled up Mike came out immediately. Within 20 minutes he had tightened knobs and saved me from blowing a head gasket on a brand new vehicle! Not only that he did not charge me for his time. I can t tell you how much I recommend and appreciate this shop. Thank you Mike!

These guys are awesome! I love how they dont just fix the problem you say but they list off a bunch of fixes needed and prioritize the most important for you. You then have a really good picture of what your car needs.

Our 2010 car was having starting issues. After ruling out the battery, we brought it in for diagnosis. They were really honest and upfront about everything. After 4 days, they were not able to pinpoint the problem. Let us know they suspected the ECM, but it was a $1,500 repair for a maybe. Gave us time to decide if we wanted to take it into a dealer to see if they could diagnose it better, didnt charge us any fees even though they had worked on it for 4 days. It would no longer start at all. Ultimately, we decided to donate it, and they were really good to work with on coming by to clear it out, and holding it until a tow truck could come for it. First experience and I come away feeling that I trust them... Clearly not trying to gouge us on anything and very professional and good to work with even though they got nothing out of it.

I went here for an emissions test, and they insisted on a safety inspections as well (which at least was free...but again...just so that they could up sale me) Im irritated because I would rather have skipped it and not had to wait as long, but the emissions guy wasnt there yet anyway, so whatever. I appreciate that they werent pushy with the issues they found, but here is why I question their honesty. -They recommended an oil change....either they arent knowledgeable, attentive or they are dishonest, because we had an oil change literally 2 weeks prior. -They said that ac valves were leaking, among other things leaking...but heres the issue, the place we usually go (where we got the oil change) Nissan Dealer, does a VIDEO safety inspection, where they walk through all the exact same things that R & R did, only with a camera, and they explain and show everything. So Id go here again for emissions testing, but nothing else. And maybe it wasnt dishonesty, but then that would make it a lack of knowledge issue, neither are good in my mind.

I brought my car in because I had a bad head gasket job done on my car by another mechanic. I saw this place and thought that the higher prices would offer better services. So I told them that my head gasket was replaced and now my car wouldn t start and I was unsure about the work. So 780$ And a month later they said my car was all fixed and that there were no other problems. Which was hard having to call so many times asking where my car was. Since I had little to no idea what was going on. The very next day(after a month of waiting) I drive it for the first time and find my car overheats . So I brought it back in and let them know what had happened. 6 days later after calling several times I find out my cars head gasket in fact wasn t working properly and the whole engine needed to be replaced. Saying it wasn t their fault they didn t detect it because the car wasn t running when they got it. Which made sense at the time even though this was my concern in the first place.. So I call around and find out that it s very easy to test a head gasket while the car isn t running. It just takes compressed air with the piston at top dead center with the coolant cap off. So now I m not only out a car I m out almost 800$ with no refund or help from r&r. I though the service was good until I hung up and realized how screwed over I was.

I was having bad luck with my cars battery dying on me at least once a week. Walked into R&R got help immediately! Ian tested my battery and told me it tested bad. They had a battery In stock, Ian changed my battery right there in the parking lot for me and took care of my old one! It was raining and cold and he spent the time helping me and made sure I left happy and safe! I would HIGHLY recommend them! I was treated fair and know I got honest results!!

Honest, reliable, and timely. I had my 04 Ford Explorer in for a rear differential replacement, as well as a cooling thermostat housing replacement. The price for these jobs was as my research said I should expect, so I trust their honesty. I also had a slight issue with the repair the first time, so I took it back for a touch-up in a same-day appointment, free of charge. Ian and the guys at R&R really care about their customers, and I will be a customer forever now. I highly recommend them.

I asked them to look at the transmission and I end up paying $217. I wouldnt have taken it here If I knew they would charge a ridiculous amount. They also claim to replace a part without telling you and charging you for it.

I replaced my car battery this morning and in the process, I broke the screw used to fasten the battery bracket in place. I didnt have the tools needed to complete the job myself so I took it in to them. The gentleman at the front desk was quick to help and didnt charge me anything. Its not every day you get that kind of service! Would definitely use them in the future for other repairs.
