Visiting family for the holidays, my car broke down (luckily) right in front of Sam's and I pushed it in the parking lot. I called the next day and told Frank I was worried about getting back to NYC (3 1/2 hrs) for work. Despite having a lot full of vehicles he took pity on me and looked at my car quickly. I'm very grateful that there are still kind and honest mechanics out there.

I heard about Sam's (Frank) from my neighbor and decided to give it a try. I haven't had the best experiences with service providers in this area, so I usually travel over an hour south to my old shop. However, when my car broke down due to a failed alternator, I decided to give Sam's a chance. I am extremely grateful that I did. From the first phone call to picking up my car, everything was explained thoroughly and the quote was accurate. The quality of work and rates at Sam's were impressive. I will definitely be returning here for my next service without any hesitation.
First visit to Sam's. Frank provided an immediate estimate which was reasonable and competitive. He agreed to do the installation the next day, Dropped the vehicle off around 8am, had it back by 1pm! Very satisfied with the service, and plan on using Sam's for future tire and maintenance issues. Thanks.

Was recommended to use this shop, and don’t understand why I wasn’t servicing my car here this whole time. The shop was very easy and flexible in making an appointment, and they got my car serviced in a very timely manner. Frank at the front desk was very friendly. 10/10 recommend this shop for your cars needs, it will be in good hands!
On a Friday afternoon, they fit me in to have 4 new tires mounted & balanced. What I like: they're local and honest. No one trying to sell you something you don't need like all the chains/franchises. If they don't know the answer, they let you know that up front. All around good service at a fair price, with experienced staff. Been a customer for 15 years.
Thorough, Honest, Timely Service. As a woman, I owe thanks to this team for being honest and keeping me well informed. This is a busy, but well-run shop. They are mindful of your time and get down to business. Frank is said to be gruff, but he's just a busy go-to guy folks! The phone goes nuts at this popular shop. If they don't have it, can't service you, they're not going to waste your time or theirs. PS: As a side note, the owner of the shop is a super good dude. He took time out of his day a few years back to catch and return my dad's runaway dog. Thanks for restoring our family and keeping us on the road!

I Can always rely on Sam s tire, got a nail in a tire and Sam s got me repaired, in and out asap. Other tire shops nearby wanted to schedule me for a week later, and risk driving on a nail for that long. Will be buying tires from here in the future.

Good place for inspection, its walkable in downtown u may have to leave your car for much of the day. They do have good tires

My Mom has been going to Sams Tires & Automotive for approximately 10 years, when I moved to Saratoga 6 years ago, Ive had all my automotive needs done by Sams. We both have always had excellent service at a fair price for the work they do. Tires, tune-ups, winterization, inspections, etc. Frank, James and all are truly the best!!! Always, honest about what is needed. I just had an exceptional experience with them!!! They saved me $1500 on a Catiltic Converter. These guys are fantastic!!! Had my tires IN STOCK..(tires for a 350z arent easy to find in stock anywhere) took my car in immediately.. treated my car as if it was their own (with great care). I highly recommend them to EVERYONE!!!
I live local in Saratoga and pass by every day for work. I started having problems with my car so, I stopped in on a Sat spoke with the mechanic and he assured me he was family owned and that they would be able to properly diagnosis my car. I made an appointment and dropped my car off for a diagnosis I received a call from Frank who told me I needed 2 new fuel injectors and gave me a price which I was fine with. I received a call back a few hours later from Frank who told me that my car was 75% fixed and that I would need a new ecm which they could not do. I picked up my car and it was running exactly the same as it was when I dropped it off(not even 75% better)!!!! I was obviously extremely unhappy which I expressed to Frank who screamed and cursed at me. He then called me back right after apologized and said he had been up all night sick Frank then told me he would pay for me to bring my car else where and get diagnosed. Which I was ok with I brought my car to Della Cadillac who actually fixed my car 100%. I never needed fuel injectors at all my car was misdiagnosed by Sams Tires and I paid 550.00 dollars for something I never even needed. When I asked Frank for the owners name and number he refused to give it to me. Do not use sams Tires they are dishonest, rude and honestly dont know what they are doing.
The Best in Saratoga Springs! Mavis does not beat other consumer prices. They do not have the best prices. They did not have the tires, for my appointment, which was booked 5 days in advance. Sams Tire and Automotive had the tires in stock, were cheaper, and come with free balancing, and rotation. I encourage every Freemason to take this information, as a non biased customer review; from a brother. Use Sams Tire and Automotive. They even stayed after hours. For one customer with slick tires. Thank you Sams!!!!
Very good and quick service, and I really appreciated that they didnt try to upsell me on anything, just did what needed to be done.
On their website, they claim to have military discounts. However, when I got my tires changed, they denied that it states anything. When I showed them the website, they said, that shouldnt be there and I ultimately paid full price for the service. It wasnt bad service, I just dont want anybody else to go expecting a discount.
I have had several sets of tires replaced at Sams. Frank and his guys do a great job getting the new tires on quickly and have even helped me out on a Friday afternoon.

My power steering pump failed yesterday on a -12 degree morning. So I dropped it off with Frank at Sams Tires in Saratoga. Frank called and said it needed a new PS Pump and high pressure hoses. I gave him the ok and he said I could have it next day. Frank calls me this morning and said they were able to save the PS Pump and the $164 a new one would have cost, and that the car was all ready. In 13 years I have brought 5 cars to Frank at Sams I am very happy with the tires and repairs. Old School, hometown business guys. Awesome!
