While I generally really like Hoffman Car Wash, this location was a disappointment. I went there because I wanted the interior cleaned as well as the exterior and they do offer that. But space limitations created an odd traffic flow. You go thru the automated wash and then have to come back around (and look like you're cutting line) to get to the door where they do the interior clean. That took forever. There were 2 cars in the bay ahead of me and they were there for a very long time. I saw staff chatting and eventually I got to sit in the adjoining Jiffy Lube waiting room til they got to my car. The clean was okay but if I had any idea just how long that would have been, I would not have gone. They have 2 other Hoffman's (on the way to Albany) that get it done much more quickly.
Went to go wash my car tonight in the "self service" bay at @hoffmancarwash in Saratoga... Was here a few days prior. Recent signs of someone just using the bay... Sprayed my wheels down with cleaner to sit and turn it's cool purple... Swiped my card...nothing happens...try again...nothing happens... used another card...same thing... At this point my $4k setup is getting eaten alive by the chemicals and have NOTHING to wash them off... I run over the the guy in the bay next to me interrupting his wash and asked if he could do me a solid and spray my wheels off quick so they don't get damaged more than they probably did. Dude pulled through and cleaned them off good asking for nothing in return. I am so thankful he helped me out in the nick of time before things got worse... While I waited for him to finish washing his truck I went inside to ask a manager what happened. The "manager" comes out offering no assistance, apologies or even any form of conversation. Dude could care less or even understand the gravity of the situation... He went back inside to grab a controller for the bay and tested the sprayer out. Comes back over to me and said it works and there is no issue...I asked if he used his own card..."nope". I told him I'm not risking my car in there for another repeat situation. The "manager" returned back inside without another word and offered no additional support for the situation... I could care less that he offered "credit" or an "apology"...I care that HE didn't care about my car being damaged... Edit: Per the owner reply I use my own detail products...not their soap. Soap does not clean your wheels well enough... Per my own quote again..."Sprayed my wheels down with cleaner to sit and turn it's cool purple..." Your products do not do that...
The interior clean ($30) at this location is poor. I should have heeded the warnings of the negative reviews instead of taking a chance earlier today. My car wasn’t very dirty to start with, yet despite 3 people working, it seemed there wasn’t much attention paid to cleaning the areas that were dirty (see pictures). All floor mats were still wet, and some were placed back incorrectly (see pictures). I rarely leave reviews, let alone negative ones. Hopefully our feedback facilitates their improvement. The exterior wash ($25) is fine. Only suggestion is for employees to tape the rear windshield wipers down to prevent them from popping out of place from the drying fans. TLDR; don’t waste your money on the interior clean at this location.
Had my car interior cleaned today sunday July 21st and they did not do a thorough job on my car. I got it back and it was still dirty in some spots. Not wiped down. Not vacuumed. I also observed one of your employees standing around while the other ones worked. The gentleman had red hair and a beard and made your whole staff look bad and I have observed this before from the same employee. I don't know why it bugs me it just does. Also to complete my rant. Your car wash never gets bugs and dirt around bottom of my car.
I have seen this place go downhill in the past couple of years. The new manager Joe is extremely hands off. I don’t mind the price going up every year with inflation but to see the service go down is a major issue. If there was a competitor in town with monthly pass, I would’ve switched already. Every time there’s good talent here it seems they got promoted and sent to other Hoffman car washes The other day I waited about 15 minutes online because there was cars backed up from Jiffy Lube when I brought it to Joe’s attention he told me he couldn’t do anything that they sold the other half of the property. Did Jiffy Lube made good money on it and I told him that’s OK. It doesn’t matter who owns the property. You should have teammates managing the traffic so you don’t have your client waiting in line for something they do not need service for Again, it used to be very differently with management that cared about every aspect every time I’m there there’s sidebar conversations and teammates not doing anything. This was not how this place ran before. Good luck someone in upper management read this and does some drop-in visits to see how Joe is running the place.
This was awhile ago but, I came to get my sister's Lexus washed and detailed... I pulled the mats up and the baby seat out so as to make it easier for them. When I came back to get it I was in a rush so I picked it up and left. Got home and checked it out. They did absolutely nothing but wash the car... And they didn't do a good job at that. The absolute most disappointing service I've ever received. Mavis car service was better than your service and we all know they're horrible..
This place really frustrates me. I usually get a gift card to do a 3 month unlimited wash during the winter to avoid having them ping my card after it expires. Today, on the expiration date, I went there and the guy working told me it was no good since it expires today. I said that would make sense if it were tomorrow, but it should be good on the expiration date. He was nice, but said that's not the case. I agreed to renew for another month. I got home and realized he only charged me for one wash. So I had to call to get it straightened out. They were nice about it, but the whole process continues to frustrate me. It is too expensive anyhow. UPDATE 05/03/24: as usual, something else happened - this time when I went in to use 1 of 2 free car wash coupons, they told me it had already been used. It had not. they allowed me to use it, like they were doing me a favor, when I insisted it had not been used.
Went for a touch-less car wash, didn’t clean the car fully the first time around. Got told to go through again and the brushes dropped and scratched up the piano black trim. Original manager was nice and told me to go to Clifton Park to get it fixed. They couldn’t offer the same ceramic coat that I originally had so I went back to discuss with manager at Saratoga. The guy would not admit any fault, not even for the accidental brush the second time around. Would not go back for even the comped car washes anymore.

Paid for the membership an 2nd time through my car got scratched all up. I understand there are chances for this to happen. But for the employees to not care at all is bullcrap. My car got scratched on the front, driver side, back n top of my car all got scratched an they wont even issue a refund for all the damages that have been done. N store wont even try to compensate me in anyway at all. Not even a free month of membership. So unprofessional n I will never use this car wash again

DON WAS FANTASTIC!
My rims are not getting clean through the was. I still had bird stuff on the front windshield. So they let me go again. As far as car interior goes, it was nice except for the windows. My front passenger side had finger prints all over it. I had already left when I saw the sun hit that side and I was like I dont want to go back. By then it was hard to find anyone (after 6). They did clean it again and it was good. However, the 2 working gave a half hearted sorry. It took me 2x as long to get my car done.

Extremely busy every day, theres always a queue at the entrance, but its quick. A fantastic choice during pollen season. The car wash provides a five-star experience. I usually go to the Clifton Park location when I want the interior and exterior cleaned. Every so often I come here because it is actually closer to my house. Then I remember why I go to the other one. It literally takes atleast stwice as long to get thru the process here. Like usually 45 mins start to finish. The other place, 20 to 30 tops. They do a decent job its just the wait.

I have twice gone to the Jiffy Lube that is a part of the Hoffman s Car Wash in Wilton for an oil change and they have lied to me about work my car has needed. An example of this is, they told me my transmission fluid low and that they would take care of it for an additional cost. I have been skeptical about their practices in the past so I declined and brought it to my mechanic. He said the place where the transmission fluid was supposed to be checked was sealed. He didn t understand how they checked it. My subsequent visit to Vavoline said the same.
The quickest way to spend $20....but the exterior of my car is clean.

UPDATE: After having attempted to cancel my membership numerous times and getting email confirmation of the cancelation, we continued to be charged for another six months. Please strongly consider NOT purchasing a membership as you will have an absolute nightmare when attempting to cancel. End update. I used to be a very big fan of this oil change /car wash facility. Over the past few years, they have gone way downhill. I was failed on a car inspection for a licensed plate light and a tires tread (very debatable on the tire). I was handed an inspection report that was completely vague - it simply said that the items that failed were lights and tires. So I had to ask for clarification. They sent the inspector out to come out and guess which tire failed, and I, the customer, had to go through all the lights on the vehicle so that we could eventually find that one of the two license plate lights were out. This whole charade took another twenty minutes out of my day. I was then told that I could simply get the items fixed, pull around to the front, and they would inspect it quickly and on the spot. What really happened is I pulled back up, they refused to inspect it where I had parked it, and my car is currently sitting there for another hour while they find time to fit it in. You will be inconvenienced beyond belief at this facility. Unless you have hours to donate to games and silliness, take your car somewhere else for your annual inspection. Final note: when I went back to pick up my car, the cashier decided to restock the coffee area and take a call after I told her I was there to pick up my car. Im not sure how restocking a coffee area takes precedence over a waiting customer, but thats why I wont be back.

Not happy. Bought the three month plan in December 2022. This plan does not begin until the first wash. My first wash was February 2023. They tell me today the plan expired yesterday.

Saratoga location has Jiffy Lube also- always prompt and professional, very clean, with complementary coffee, hot chocolate, and TVs to watch as you wait. Ballston Spa is just as excellent, although strictly a wash facility- but with FREE VACUUMS!

Your jiffy lube employees are as unprofessional as they come you close at 8 not 6 so when I show up at 6 and I m given an attitude because your closed at an unspecified and unusual time I will be canceling all 4 off my unlimited memberships and I will never use your service department again hire professionals not children!!!

High mileage oil change and Safety/state inspection: I received a bill with items confirmed that was completed. I wanted my old wipers, they stated they would place it on the floor, it wasnt, so I asked for it, turns out they werent changed. Also, pointed out that the drivers side wasnt vacuumed and my windshield wiper fluid wasnt topped up. The young man completed them when I pointed these out and was very polite about it. I asked him about the tires, he said they checked them already. They forgot to reset the maintenance light after the oil change and offered to do so if I returned the same day. The young lady at the checkout was very potent and offered great customer service. Their quality control checks are non-existent...it made me question the oil change and the other items listed on the bill. Be aware and knowledgeable of what should have been done.

The service is fast, the people are very nice, the product is a little pricey but good. Not sure who designed the movement patterns but they do not make sense and actually hold up service while workers wait for cars to get through bottle necked lines. They could also use more signage directing people where to go.
I had the interior cleaned 9/10/21 . I specifically asked that my windows be cleaned. They looked worse after cleaning than before. I dont think they even tried to clean then. This is the 2nd fine Ive had this happen. Very disappointing.
I question whether Ill go again or not. The last few times Ive been there my car has had a broken seal each time.

The better Hoffman around IMO. Ive never had a problem with this place. They have the best customer service out of the Hoffman centers I have visited in Clifton Park and Latham.
My wheels never get a good cleaning.
Attendants didnt even rush me or show any aggravation when I held up the line to get my driver side window up which sticks sometimes. In fact the attendant said his does it sometimes to so no worries. They didnt even laugh at my broken rear passenger window replaced by cardboard and black gorilla tape.
Prompt, courteous service. Exterior wash and hot wax removed road salt and protect the finish. Interior thoroughly cleaned. Well worth the price.
Horrible car wash. Paid so much money to get it detailed in and out and nothing was done properly!!! What a waste of my time and money!!
Signed up for unlimited wash wax and undercarriage and was happy to find out that it was about $35 for the month. If you wash your car more than once a month, and you should, the unlimited subscription is the way to go. Only one thing I dont like about this place is that they dont have anyone at the other end to wipe your mirrors off and flip your back wiper back into place for you. The exit to the car wash goes straight to the exit from the property with no room to stop to wipe your own mirrors off and put your rear wiper blade back in place.
Usually a good place for inspections and washes. This day they said no inspection stickers until next week.... And that was on a Tuesday!

The employees are very helpful and courteous. The wash here is good the layout is bad. It is a giant obstacle course because they have a very small area to drive in and had a lady cut line and almost caused a bunch of accidents.

Best car wash in da union boys
This place is the only car wash in town. It is fine for a quick car wash. They do not hand dry the car. So you have to rely on the machine to dry it, which does not thoroughly dry the car leaving streaks. I carry towels in my car and I generally pull into the adjacent lot and dry the car to avoid the streaks.
Self service bays & vacuum islands- Clean and stocked, from the different selections to the foams everything was working great. Ive been to other places where you feel like the switch over from soap to water takes forever, its a nice fast switch here. Having the different vacuum hose nozzles is a wonderful. Easily get the out-of-reach areas under your seat. Very convenient location, not being right off of RT. 50 makes it easier to get in and out. Like the rest of Hoffmans locations; affordable, clean & up-to-date.
Line moves quickly, easy location to pop in and get an exterior wash. I dont do much more than that but their system is efficient and you are in and out. The vacuums will be helpful for getting dog hair out when that time comes.

Mediocre interior cleaning job this morning. Certainly not worth $30.
Staff is pretty good with communication. Line can occasionally cause problems when its out onto the side road. Only real complaint would be lately it seems the auto-wash hasnt been doing a good job with windows, often barely touching them and leaving residue.
Good place for a car wash and oil change
1 of several wash places that after a wash brakes are slow to respond when stopping. Wash is fine but pressure is way to high makes rotors and brakes to wet for several mins or a few stops .also 1 of few places where the track is too high and scrapes under your car 90% of the way...other hoffs are fine not sure why?
For a business that is absolutely busy, always make you comfortable and get you in and out as fast as possible.
We purchased the $30package for interior cleaning and Oh boy our $30 was wasted. The only thing they did was maybe wash the mats. The seats are still the same( no signs of being cleaned) and so as other part of the interior of the vehicle. I appreciate the effort but I guess thats why we paid that amount to pay the service but we did not get the service we are supposed to get. We ended up still cleaning it. It was a waste. We will never go back to this location.

I have a carwash subscription, and wash my car almost daily. Even if the line is long, they tend to be able to get you through the wash quickly, and the car wash does a really good job getting the car washed and keeping it rust free. If you have a very high end car, its probably not a good idea to machine wash it, but this wash has kept my 10 year old car from turning into a pile of rust. The Jiffy Lube is excellent for state inspections. They make sure your car is save, without trying to sell you a boatload of work you dont need. I find them to be very thorough and honest.

Fairly expensive but offers a modern automatic drive through carwash. The attached Jiffy lube is not the best shop, but offers quick NYS inspections.
4 months working patiently with management Cody, Chris, Karen and Karens Supervisor at Corporate to address equipment issues in Wilton NY location.... If you live in Toga area, do not bother paying extra for Unlimited Wash billing service. This problem affects compact and subcompact vehicles. The tire machine at the end of the line does not work properly and only the driver side of the car getting touched. No problems for years until the device was adjusted to accomodate larger wheelbase vehicles .. No problems at any other Offman Sites ... Frustrating PITA After reading all these reviews on Hoffman Facebook site ... Cancelled my years long membership just now ... WoW ... The dual high pressure nozzle rinse system comes out at such force...It started chipping my paint within weeks ... And getting into my engine compartment....I showed Chris after coming through the wash ... They are not interested in solving customer issues with their equipment ... After several calls to Corporate over the past several weeks...And no DM getting involved I quit them ... Not even an offer to refund my money for services not completed for months on end ...

The car wash is good but the staff stack the cars too tight causing spray off the fronts and backs of other cars to over-spray on yours. Also, it is a hazard as you try and exit the tunnel, if the car behind you is so close you run the risk of being rear-ended. When I tried to hang back the attendant got agitated when I asked to leave room between the cars, then puts the car right on my back bumper, probably just to prove his point! I called to speak with the manager to suggest they leave a little distance between cars on Thursday March 19, 2021 @ 4:40 pm, leave a message with the supervisor on duty....she either didnt pass along the message or the manager felt my call wasnt important enough to warrant a call back. This seems to be a reoccurring theme from other reviews posted so I guess I need to go someplace else.
I was there on Thursday March 11, it was a terrible service, 30 dollars I paid to have my car cleaned, when I returned for my car it was just as dirty as I delivered it, I called the girl and told her that if that was cleaning I showed her that under the mat it was the same, I just pulled the vacuum hose and started cleaning it with great anger I asked him about the manager and what the girl who attended me said was that it was useless to talk to the manager, they knew that my car It was totally dirty and they didnt clean anything, because they only saw me when I was complaining, really bad service

Terrible customer service that lacks all common sense. I signed up for the unlimited car wash package this past winter which worked well until I went to cancel my membership. I filled out a cancelation form on their website in early March. come April, I see they charged my card for another month! I call customer service and spoke with Ashley who told me their system was down call again later.. Ok.. So I called again a few hours later. This time Ashley tells me they ..Dont have any record of me requesting to cancel my membership and cannot refund me, but can give me a gift card of equal value this is of no use to me since I am moving out of the area to a place where there are no Hoffman Car Washes! BE WARNED!!! IF YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BE SURE YOU CAN PROVE IT!!!! (THEY RECCOMEND TAKING A SCREENSHOT OF THE CANCELATION FORM) OR ELSE THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU/WONT REFUND YOU
