413 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, United States
Always passed this lodge and wanted to stay. So unique inside, rooms are small But comfy. Beds are soft and comfy. I’d recommend this place for a night or two! Right on the main strip, walking distance to fun!
Great renovation of the Saratoga Motel. While I miss the pool and the certain je ne sais quoi grime of the old motel as it sat among the improvements on Broadway, this is a welcome affordable addition to everything Saratoga. Perfect location to stumble home from Desperate Annie's.
I’m not even sure I should be writing this review. Cause like I’m trying to make sure this place is available when I need it. Y’all get wind of a good place and then when I need a room it’s all booked up. My real honest opinion of this place…. It’s amazing rooms are super comfy. The set up is modern, the beds are soft and the location cannot be beat. I’m not sure what this building was before, but they have done a great job, turning this into one of the best places to sleep in Saratoga Springs. Do not let the name fool you into thinking your staying someplace shady… it’s not, it’s one of the best overnight stays we have had in a while and are already trying to figure out when we are going back!
It seems like it'd be a great idea - fill in the pool so we have a bright central lobby! But in reality this is just a great big echo chamber. The sound of the rain banging on the clear plastic roof was so loud I didn't even recognize it as rain, and came out of my room to see what all the racket was about. Every tiny noise is amplified, and heaven help you if there are people having a good time while you're trying to rest. Water pressure is tragic, and halfway through my shower reduced to a trickle. Was this because someone else turned theirs on? I'd use my allotted amount of hot water? Most egregious though, there are no balconies. I booked a Balcony Room. I paid for a Balcony Room. I anticipated a small private outdoor area (you know, a balcony) but was extremely disappointed to find that this was a complete deception. If location is what you're looking for you might be happy here. But if you're looking for comfort and relaxation this is not the place for you.
Amazing location right in the heart of downtown Saratoga. Rooms are super nice and beds are extremely comfortable. There’s a filtered water tap which is great for people like me who carry a water bottle with them everywhere they go. There’s also 24 hr free coffee and tea. Will definitely be coming back here!
Great location and room in downtown Saratoga Springs. We stayed on the second floor of the motel facing the Main Street. Unfortunately there were significant gaps between the doors and the door frame on both sides of the room, allowing a ton of noise in from outside. It definitely kept us up on both nights. I responded to a text from the hotel asking how our stay was about this issue but did not hear back from anyone about it. I would look for a different hotel if I came back to Saratoga.
Our honeymoon got canceled due to hurricane Milton and made our reservation yesterday. The hotel is something we would see on our annual trips to Saratoga and we always wanted to stay here. The hotel is amazing. We were able to check in early and upon arriving the nice ladies at the desk upgraded our room when we told them about our change of plans due to the hurricane. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a nice updated and contemporary feel to them. There is a beautiful courtyard in the center of the building where they have water and coffee. After checking in we stepped out for lunch and when we got back we have a delightful surprise! A chilled bottle of champagne, desserts and a beautiful orchid! The owner was so sweet to go out of her way to make this even more special! The hotel itself is very centrally located in the heart of Saratoga next to all of the shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel and we are so happy we decided to come here. We will never forget how truly amazing this hotel was and the owner is one of a kind. We can’t wait to come back on our anniversary!
10, We have viewed this property from the street and admired the renovation of an aging landmark. As hotel junkies, we really enjoyed the features for the price point. The central gathering area is creative and well presented, the upper social area was very nice, the beds are an A+, and robes in the room are always appreciated. We loved the contemporary decor and quality toiletries. The staff was super friendly, the location is fantastic, and private, protected parking is a big plus. Suggestions; a comfy chair or lounge, a desk chair that tucks under the desk (the bulky chair currently in place blocks entry /exit)
Halle the manager was perfect!!!
Sleek modern stay, located in the heart of activity, friendly staff, free parking, and complimentary coffee. Loved the vibes!
Right downtown and the people are so nice!!
Exceeded our expectations. Very clean, friendly staff and great location.
I recently stayed at Blurbird Spa City Motor Lodge. The location, parking, and close proximity are great. The customer service is top-notch. However, the hotel has a very noisy environment and a poorly designed bathroom. The walls were thin, and I could hear every sound from the adjacent rooms, the hallway, and the staircase, making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Theres a really loud sound made by the skylights and a high-pitched whistling sound thats continuous. I asked the front desk about it, and they said it was a mystery, and they had been trying to figure it out for the past couple of weeks. There is also the noise from the construction across the street that starts before 7am. The noise is overwhelming. Additionally, the bathroom layout was awkward, and the shower leaked water all over the floor due to poor design. Overall, the noise level and the bathroom design made for a less than pleasant stay.
Needed to get out of the house for a night. Meet my needs. Walkability: Middle of downtowm Food and drinks: Surrounded by places
Another great trip to Saratoga Springs. The Bluebird is the perfect location with friendly and helpful staff. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor patio to chat with friends during the unseasonably warm evening. We look forward to our next trip back and look forward to staying at the Bluebird again.
Robert at the front desk along with the lovely women were very informative and helpful! Rooms were clean and loved the free coffee and dorm like atmosphere! So very walkable to all great restaurants and shops!! Wish they had a pool!!
The staff was very friendly, the noise was horrible. The group of families that were staying on the first floor were letting their kids use the atrium as a playground. Shouting, running around yelling. There were multiple complaints and nothing was done. Took a nap in my truck to get some rest because everything else in town was booked. Never again!!
Small but spotless sleek modern rooms with a hip vibe. And the central location was fantastic! Walkability: Hotel is right in the center of everything!
Came into room after message said to let them know if we wanted service. We didnt and left computers out.
10/10 would stay again, happily looking forward to our next trip and stay. The rooms are so cute, clean and fresh. You re literally a few short steps away from anything you could possibly want in town. Hailey (sorry if I m spelling this wrong) at the front desk was so accommodating and kind! If someone could let me know the name of the West Elm throw blankets on the beds, I would be so grateful!
I was in Saratoga to help take care of a sick relative. I needed at least one good night of sleep while in town so I checked in to the Spa City. It was quiet, serene, and comfortable. But the best part was the kind host at the front desk. Her friendly voice and demeanor was a bright spot in an otherwise difficult couple of days. Thanks for your kindness!
Very good experience. We will return.
Perfect location in downtown Saratoga Springs! And great value for what it is, the Bluebird was adorable, accessible, clean, comfortable.
Nearby activities: Shops restaurants specify boutiques Walkability: On the main strip great parking Noteworthy details: Eclectic and nalstalgic
Stopped here for the night after going to a concert at SPAC. Great location, right on Broadway with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Only 2.5 easy miles to SPAC. The room#209 was comfortable and clean. I loved the polished concrete floors, easy to keep clean. Water pressure was great as was the AC. Free coffee in the courtyard.I would definitely stay again Walkability: Perfect location to walk the strip
These guys took over from the Downtowner - awesome location as always but the staff and upgrade of facilities are top notch. Right downtown next to all you could want...
Hard to reach on the phone, but great location and fantastic rooms in a super convenient location. Rooms: Really great, stylish rooms. Will stay there again Nearby activities: Right on Broadway. Noisy at night but not hotel s fault. Just a lot going on on weekends and lots of fun nightspots. Safety: Sketchy kids hanging out in the parking garage and in front of lot, but they seem harmless. Food and drinks: Great restaurants a short distance away. Lots of shopping
There was loud screaming all night from the street and no one was here to assist me. Then at 7:30am the construction IN THE HOTEL started and the worker got on his phone and screamed at someone for 20 min. This woke me up - all I came here for was a good night s sleep and I did not get it. They really need to clean and improve. Rooms: The rooms have a misty smell, lack in cleanliness, and are quite rundown Noteworthy details: There was no one at the desk until 9am because they are shorthanded, so there was noone to help me with my bag which I was told to carry down 2 long flights of stairs. When I called the number on the desk the woman screamed at me telling me they were short handed and the hotel was clean and I was wrong. I ve never had such bad service in my life! This place used to be great and they have run it into the ground.
So friendly and helpful! The team let us leave our bags with them before we caught our train. Really appreciate the quality service and kindness!
You know this is my fault for stepping onto the back porch without my key card but I locked myself out of the hotel. I tried calling the emergency assistance number multiple times and never got a response. I understand that it was entirely my fault but I still think its pretty poor service to not have a number reachable in incase this happens. Honestly though its a cool hotel.
Absolutely awesome. Customer service is spot on. Extremely unique and comfortable. Probably one of my favorite hotels.
Very cool and unique property. Beautiful rooms. Tremendous coffee service. Amazing location. Girlfriend absolutely loved the shower and hand gels. Located right in the heart of the action Saratoga.
Stayed 2 nights for comic con. Location was great especially with free parking garage right behind the building and a short walk to the convention center. Lots of options for food and shopping all right outside our door. Stayed in the friend zone room 209. Loved the way the room was set up and having the option of using a door outside or inside to get in our room was great. Sat outside and people watched and listened to music from one of the restaurants nearby. My teens loved the added touch of the robes hanging in the bathroom. Just wish there was some type of breakfast options like muffins and fruit especially for the price of the room. We will be back in November for the next comic con and will definitely stay again. Rooms: Room was very clean and beds super comfortable. Loved the addition of bathrobes in the bathroom to use and the mini fridge. Walkability: Very close to lots of things especially shopping and food options. Food and drinks: Lots of options just outside your door to please everyone you are traveling with. We loved the saratoga tea and honey company and uncommon ground for coffee and tea.
Decent place would recomend
Too good to be true. Perfect location. clean, comfortable, great towels, fresh free hot teas and coffee. Walking, shopping, food and drink.
Utilitarian/industrial but inviting. Polished concrete floors, painted brick walls, clean white linen. Its very no-nonsense without feeling cold or unwelcoming. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries were top notch. My only complaint was; it s a bit noisy at night, you can hear people talking and sports shutting. The noise wasn t over whelming but it was distracting. I would totally stay here again.
Room design is sleek and modern. Rooms are very clean. Beds are very comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot. There is a fun hot and cold tea and coffee offering via taps in the common area.
In town for a wedding - which we walked to ! Great location and we loved the repurposed motor lodge ! Cool deco and lighting and bed was so comfy! Walkability: Very central location - never got in the car once we checked in ! Noteworthy details: What a convenient spot to be! Walking distance to everywhere!! Super clean - bed was so comfy ! Very thoughtfully laid out - beautifully simple and very comfy!
Very well maintained Hotel with great staff and its in a great location close to great places to dine
Great staff and the best location in town!
Loved everything about our stay! The beds were very comfortable, the art elements were very cool and modern and the staff was friendly and always available via text requests. Beyond that, the location was perfect and we were able to enjoy all the great bars and restaurants downtown
Loved the room, the decor, the fact that its pet friendly.
I really love this hotel! I grew up in the area, but have been living downstate for 10 years, so a lot has changed. I stayed here recently and it was a great experience! The room was great - really clean, I liked the layout / design and furniture, etc. all modern, minimal and industrial looking. It had everything I needed, and all the soaps/hair products were actually really good. Theres a closet, drawers, a safe, robes, hangers, tv, mini fridge, ice bin, hair dryer, a darker hand towel for cosmetics which I thought was cute. The whole hotel had great decor - books everywhere, and on the walls. There was coffee/cold brew/tea on tap on the main floor 24/7. The staff were my favorite part though honestly - everyone was amazing and super accommodating. Shout out to Russell who I had some awesome convos with, who made my stay even more welcoming and felt like I was home. I even forgot my laptop charger and I mustve bothered 3 different people at the desk to ask for one and everyone was just really friendly about it. Thank you to the girl who let me borrow that switch charger - it worked and youre a life saver I would rather stay at this hotel than any other hotel in the area :) Anyone staying here will have a really great experience and it couldnt be in a better location. You will definitely feel at home here. Walkability: near everything, right on broadway
Right in the heart of Saratoga Springs. Park your car & walk to the many restaurants, shops and museums in the center of town.
This place is fabulous. My bed was king and man was it comfortable.. staff is nice, place is clean. Looks like an old jail turned hotel, but the vibe is chill and cozy. The location is perfect, as it is around so many venues -- shops, eats, walks, etc.. I visit every summer for work, and so far this is my fav place that Ive stayed.
There s no better location if you want to be in the heart of Saratoga. Highly recommend and will be staying again.
Amazing location in the middle of Saratoga Springs downtown area, close to most of the best shops and restaurants in town! Room wasnt super luxurious but it was a great value and the whole place had a really cool and unique vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend, especially as a more budget friendly option.
Its a cute, quirky place with friendly staff and a good location. The whole place was like an echo chamber. There was a dog who barked all day and part of the night. You could hear the people next door. I heard them have an entire phone conversation on speaker. You could hear street noise in all directions and the roof constantly made noise as its not a concrete roof. Didnt sleep a wink even with sound machines on. The price tag for this stay was ridiculously expensive for the very little you got in return.
Best motel experience Ive had in years beautiful bed and very clean!! Nearby activities: Concerts Rooms : 5/5 |
This was our first trip to Saratoga Springs. We chose the Bluebird for the location which was great. Everything was within a short walk. The room we stayed in was a double queen deluxe which was very roomy. The beds were super comfortable. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to visit again ! Walkability: The location was perfect. Right in the middle of downtown. You can walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars.
I stayed at the Bluebird for one night when passing through and the rooms were very clean and modern, the staff was exceptionally helpful and communicative and the location was hands down the best!!! Walk to the best of everything Saratoga has right outside your door. I ll be back
A great location and with good rooms. My complaint was the noise in the middle of the night (2 to 4 am). People shouting and doors slamming. The next morning the front desk people said it was a wedding party. But why didnt anyone tell them to shut up?!?
It s like if nobody else sleeps, you re not sleeping. The doors shutting are not only extraordinarily loud, but they shake your core when they slam shut. The room also has a robust smell to it that was extraordinarily off putting. I cannot recommend enough that your reconsider staying here. I gave it a second star, because when I walked in I thought it looked cool, and the tv was nice. But that doesn t matter when you re a zombie the next day after hearing Todd laugh like a hyena sixteen times and track back and forth between his and his friend s room talked to Heather about the Ubah situation.
Fabulous location, clean, well thought out rooms, plush towels, robes and fabulous coffee by the deep end! Rooms: Rooms were on the smaller side, but well thought out with hooks for coats, a small fridge. Loved the plush towels and the Ursa Major products in the bathroom. Walkability: Right in town and can walk to all that Saratoga has to offer! Restaurants, shopping!
Fantastic spot. This is our new go to motel/hotel when we visit Saratoga now. Easy to check in, very simple but modern and clean rooms. We had a room right on the first floor in the main lobby space and we were worried it would be loud but it was wonderful. Comfortable beds, really friendly staff, perfect central downtown location.
The Location of Spa City in Saratoga is 2nd to None! It doesnt get much better, as you are right smack dab in the Heart of Downtown Saratoga Springs. Restaurants, Bars Comedy Club, Coffee Shop and Shopping all right outside the doors. But what we Love the Most about it is the Staff from the Front Desk when you walk in that make you feel so welcome to the Housekeeping staff that are so pleasant and greet you with a smile & work so hard to keeping the common areas and rooms spotless. We have been coming here since Bluebird Opened it up and it is the Only Place we will continue to stay at when we visit Saratoga Springs. Rooms: They may be on the small side but have everything that you need. Besides, you dont go away to Saratoga to sit in the room you should be out there enjoying how beautiful the place it is. Walkability: Right in the middle of everything.
I came in this morning with my husband and children. My husband ran across the street to get us food and i had to wait with the kids in the car. We were going to come in and get a room for three days. A man that was bald came out and yelled at me in front of my kids. So i then decided if they are that rude i will go else where to stay. When we went to leave he turned his snow blower on and it sent a bunch of ice and salt at my car. Its all on camera. If i dont hear back from a higher up i will be going to the city and the police and pressing charges for damage to my vehicle.
Staff was amazing and very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Very quiet, great coffee bar. Would recommend staying. Rooms: Very clean. Walkability: Walking distance to many shops and restaurants
Where do I start? Ok , front desk was amazing and super accommodating. I travel often and sometimes simplistic is better. Theyre willing to work with you on alot of aspects. The beds.. best sleep Ive had in a long time. Firm, and yet not too firm. The rooms seem small, but theyre really not. They good size for what you need. TV is awesome, and the shower was good. I was worried about the shower but those fears were put to rest. PSA for those who think the shower is gonna come out blazing hot immediately. Patience..its worth it. Let it run and get hot. Adjust it from there. Location..wow. Location was amazing. Dead smack in the middle of town. Coffee, food, and whatever you want to do. The water was free and unique through a tap just like the coffee and tea. Great design concept. Id stay again and again if I could. Kudos to you guys. Rooms: Rooms are unique and private and comfortable with an amazing bed and great pillows. Shower is good too Walkability: You can walk anywhere. Literally anywhere in town.
The location is great. We arrived during a snow storm. There was zero effort to clear the driveway, parking lot or sidewalk. It was extremely dangerous for walking. The total disregard for guests safety was appalling! Safety: The neighborhood is fine. But this property made ZERO effort to clear snow - which became ice - during a snowstorm - while we were there. Walking to the property from the nearby parking garage, walking on the property and walking on the sidewalk to get to street crossing to nearby restaurants was very dangerous. People who had parked in the hotels parking lot were in even more danger than us!
Rooms: Neat rooms Walkability: In Main Street, a few feet from many restaurants and bars Rooms : 5/5 |
I stayed here because it was in the center of town and because I liked the aesthetics of it. This is a really beautiful motel In the center of saratoga springs. I would easily come back and stay here again if I ever visit.
My boyfriend, dog and I stayed here for 1 night. We normally stay in larger hotels but chose this because of the convenience of being close to the exit so we could take our dog in and out easily. pros: friendly staff clean good amount of room for a smaller hotel comfortable bed nice toiletries and shower cute coffee/tea bar modern decor central location cons: according to other reviews, some rooms dont have windows. If we were given a room without windows, I would have been really upset. SO BRIGHT, its impossible to get a good nights sleep. The light from the AC (our room was so hot we had to leave AC on all night) is so bright and blue it feels like sleeping in a night club. The other huge issue is that there are windows next to the door that lead into the common room, even though the windows are frosted and there are shades, the light from the atrium/common area shines into the room all night making it impossible for us to get a good nights sleep. It was noisy, we brought a white noise machine and it was still difficult to sleep when you could hear people coming in and out of the hotel and in the back alley. the hotel is modern and the concept is cool but it needs work. I wouldnt stay there again for the sole reason that it was too bright in our room to get a good nights sleep.
Super cute spot right in the center of it all!!
Growing up I stayed in a few motels, Howard Johnson, Motel 6 and ones the just say Motel with the red buzzing and blinking neon Vacancy signes and the sometimes sweet smoking desk attendee. I also have had the pleasure of sleeping in a bed that had windows curtains as sheets and a pillow case as a towel. BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THESE MOTELS!! Spa City Motor Lodge has been rejuvenated to something new and modern but with the hint of what it was decades ago. Rooms are comfortable, modern and the main courtyard has been transformed into something very cool and comfortable. Due to safety concerns the pool in the courtyard was removed but they highlighted where it was and even left the wording, Deep End and 13ft, awesome touch! During the horse racing week you would understand why its a safety concern. The motel is also in one of the best locations, only 2 to 5min walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops.
Extremely noisy. All night the motor cycles and sirens and partying pedestrians. Don t ever stay in one of the rooms facing the street. No coffee maker in the room. I ve been coming to Saratoga Springs for 25 years. Plenty of better hotels available.
Tyler at the front desk was phenomenally helpful.
Great clean staff was so nice and helpful we stayed in room 118 for DMB weekend 22 it was out first stay at the hotel. And from now on only place I will stay in Saratoga
Had the time of my live at this place!! Will always remember it very fondly!
Stayed one night. Great location. Ample parking in lot behind motel. Room was quiet and clean, bed comfortable and air conditioner worked perfectly and quietly. Staff were super nice and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
great location. some tasteful touches but the room i stayed in was not great. extremely limited natural light. even at night with blackout curtains pulled down, both windows are near lights so it s disorienting to never really know what time of day it is outside. this room should be converted into a small fitness center or some other common space and not be a room offered for resting.
Loved this place! I loved the free coffee and water on tap. It is very expensive for track season but honestly was worth it; being right on broadway: easy access to all restaurants, shops, public transport and bars on Caroline st! I would stay here again even though I could hear either upstairs or the atrium moving furniture early in the morning? But I don t mind hearing people bc that s what happens when you stay in a prime location.
This hotel is amazing! We will definitely be back. We loved everything about it. It was clean and unique. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself looks great from the outside and the inside is even cooler. Very retro. Loved the complimentary cold brew on tap. Nice access to a balcony and a rooftop hang out area. Lots of space to hang out and relax in the common area. Room had a nice comfy bed and nice bathroom area. And the location is just incredible- surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops in the heart of downtown Saratoga. Great town and great hotel! See you again soon!
Have stayed here prior ! Excellent location. Very clean and trendy ! They also helped us out big time with having to cancel a trip ! No questions asked they were very helpful Our Go to spot for race season!
While I did not have high hopes initially, the place is not Just some warmed over motel. The rooms were nice, clean and Quiet. Direct access outside from all and an interior courtyard out of the weather. This is in the middle of everything in Saratoga. Parking limited but public garage in back. We parked and walked everywhere.
Decent place to sleep. Thats about it. The Downtowner was WAY better!!
Clean no frills hotel. Rooms are very small and no desk in the room. Fantastic downtown Saratoga location.
I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking this hotel. We visit the area often and had wanted to stay here for years, but found ourselves disappointed but a number of issues which the reviews below noted. We understand the stellar location which had been the response to comments below, but the issues with the noise occur INSIDE the hotel. The room vibrates due to the HVAC, the concrete floors carry thumps and bumps from rooms several door down, and you hear everything while in the central courtyard. I come from product and brand CX myself and I understand what brand alignment and its packaging means. I also understand customer mis-alignment and peoples constant complains for their own custom needs. What the point here is if you are going to pay for an experience, which is higher than the comps at your location, then you better offer what you sell. I felt no experience entering this hotel. Nor did I find anything unique or hidden as the brand dictates. The only experience I will remember is having to walk to the central coffee bar at 7:00 am in the morning with my 6 year old daughter having to overhear a woman in one room moan having you know what. Good for them - but I dont need that at the rate I paid per night. If you stay here - you must be prepared for what is it. A modern experience w/ minimized amenities which is located in downtown. You will be leaving the premises for everything. Parking is most likely going to be in the garage in the back with limited parking available at the hotel, and all sources of water/coffee are located near the hotel entrance. I will give it to the company and onboarding - the staff were EXTREMELY nice. They always asked me how I was doing...and I was not going to go off on them for what is a poor design and ops issue. If you are going to minimize your amenities and put your rates as they are, your location can not be your only pitch and answer to lean on. The reviews consistently dictate dissatisfaction in key areas which lost customer repeatability, and having your brand back this make me question staying at future Lark Brands.
Stylish simplicity for the win. For this book lover, impressed by the curated selection in the lobbies and room. Someone has great taste. Well done!
Rooms: The room was nice and had everything I could want. Nice shower, nice mattress and bedding. The staff were exceptional. Very kind, professional and personable. Walkability: I chose this hotel for the location. Walkable to nearly all the good Saratoga Springs restaurants. Great shopping if thats your thing, near the hospital and convention center. Noteworthy details: Interesting design aesthetic and contemporary art theme. Nice common area. Hot coffee on tap.
I found the lodging to be very interesting and creative. Location is fantastic for strolling around Saratoga Springs. Very neat and clean. Convenient and free parking. Staff very friendly and herlpful.
This hotel is great! The atrium decor is so cute and welcoming and had comfy seats to chill in. Great customer service. It is an absolutely perfect location, walkable to everything we wanted to do. We loved the coffee/tea/water taps in the atrium. The room was super cute and layout was great. The bed was very comfortable and has 4 outlets on each side of the bed. The bathroom has nice soaps & loved the robes . Had all the amenities we needed. Loved the outdoor entrance to our room. Would 100% stay here again!
Spa City Motor Lodge is such an excellent place to stay in Saratoga Springs. If you get an opportunity to stay there, you will not meet any nicer or more welcoming people! The rooms are super clean, well maintained, and the location is 10/10. I had several interactions with the staff and cannot even begin to say enough great things! Anne and Rene were great to work with! Chelsea always went above and beyond welcoming us back each afternoon! Five stars isn t enough!!
I routinely travel to Saratoga Springs in New York for business. In doing so, Ive stayed at a number of nice hotels in the area. On my last two trips I decided to stay at Bluebird Spa City Motor Lodge. Im spoiled now. By far this is the best hotel in the area. The hotel is pleasantly unique, and the rooms are large and immaculately clean but the best part is the employees. Chelsey, Anne, Rob and Rene are a true pleasure to deal with. They genuinely enjoy talking to you and doing whatever they can to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable.
Clean, decent design, friendly and attentive staff. The continuous coffee and tea on tap (literally) is a nice touch. Room was comfortable. Mattress and pillows were amazing to sleep on. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location in town. Comfortable room, nicely designed building. Loved all the books everywhere. I like the idea of the self-serve draft coffee/tea/water station, although the water lines need to be replaced as they taste like coffee. Also the coffee was pretty bad, but I enjoyed the hot tea a lot. Nearby activities: Right on the main street, you can walk most places worth going, or drive a few minutes to the track. Walkability: Right on the main street, you can walk most places worth going.
Pretty cool decor and decent makeover of a motel, and great location. Sadly, clanking noises in the walls/ceiling, and music in the hall, make it difficult to sleep.
Great hotel
Would definitely recommend and stay again! Super cute lodge in downtown area with everything in easy walking distance! Clean room and comfy bed. Front desk staff super nice! Only recommendation would be to have black out curtains for the window by the door and not a shade that doesn t keep out the light:/
Location is perfect, walkable distance to everything. The front desk employee was nice, but he disappeared around 8 pm and nobody was at the front desk, or anywhere, overnight. We had a room with two queen beds which had a tv, mini fridge, small armoire and coat rack, safe, Bluetooth speaker, and a full length mirror. No microwave though. The shower didnt have a door, just half covered with glass which got water everywhere and was breezy, but we really enjoyed the great smelling shampoo and soaps that were available. Our windows didnt have screens, but we opened them a crack anyway because it was so hot in the room and even adjusting the thermostat didnt make a difference. The aesthetic and decor are modern and cute, and we loved the drinks on tap in the common area with lots of functional and comfortable seating. Unfortunately, we were woken up at 3 am by loud music and partiers in the parking garage right outside our windows. Once that stopped an hour later and we finally got back to sleep, we were then woken up again shortly after by the guests above us. You can hear EVERYTHING if youre on the lower level. So while everything looked great, the housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was nice during the day...if you actually plan on sleeping at night you may want to explore other options in the area that are further from where all the bars are, or request a room far away from anyone else if possible.
Cool indy hotel smack-dab in the heart of Saratoga Springs. Comfy rooms, cool lounge area (where there was a pool in the motels first incarnation) and friendly staff. Rooms have a fridge. Did I mention the location? Park your car (free parking, BTW) and walk everywhere! Or stay in and cozy up with a book in the lounge.
Great accommodations beautiful day awesome entertainment.
Maggie was the best host! Very accommodating, sweet, and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great visit, definitely coming back soon!
Very loud. Concrete floors and steel doors add for a very loud hotel. Love the convenience but if your looking for a good night sleep I would not look into this place. 450 a night with no coffee and terrible night sleep isn t worth it.
We had 3 rooms Whitney weekend, low, to no shower water pressure, HOT water was non existent, and dribbled out like being baptized with a sippy cup. As stated in various other reviews, hotel is very loud, with concrete stucture, and steel cell doors, so sleep is optional, unless you pass out. Location was decent for downtown Saratoga.
The owner /manager was amazing. She came to assist us in the middle of the night after an extremely rude guest yelled at us, and the manager literally came out and set us up to hang out on a beautiful rooftop patio and did whatever she could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
GREAT location, reasonable price for a very comfortable room.
Clean rooms, nice staff. The lights in the lobby are so bright they shine into the rooms all night...the blinds are not adequate And should block out all of the light however they fall short...... If you dont mind bright lights in your room at night check in and enjoy
Fantastic location. Loved the vibe. Felt very original. Well priced.
Hidden gem. Lovely place with great people that work here.
Great location. So close to everything! Funky and cool vibe. Clean and comfortable beds. But it s sooooo loud! It feels like you re sleeping in the middle of the common area. I heard people in and out all night and people walking in the alley behind the hotel. Bring ear plugs
Very modern and clean.. very friendly staff
Great location with simple, clean rooms for a fair price. I would definitely stay again.
Just amazing
I have nothing better to do while I m kept up by the people next to us but there is no one around to tell them to quiet down.
Original
Stayed 3 pleasant and peaceful days. Cud not be better located in Saratoga. Right in the heart of it all
Only one positive and many negatives. The positive: Location The negatives: a) The flighty receptionist ... comes in late, will help people on the street with directions rather than help guests (saw it happen twice and guests were left standing there with questions while she walked away, unreal) b) 20% of the rooms have no windows! That was told to me by the cleaning lady as I inquired about switching from the closet we were stuck with. The site does not indicate that you run a good chance of paying the same price as rooms with windows AND that it is most likely a fire hazard. c) Breakfast included? ... not really. What we go in place was a $5 gift card to the coffee place across the street. That $5 didnt cover two coffees! Unreal. And that was $5 for a 3 night stay. d) Strange odor in the room - but to be expected with no windows. e) Noisy common area, no escaping it. Conclusion: Go elsewhere. I have traveled the world and have had better and cheaper stays in hostels. Stay away from this place.
Heat was not working properly in room. Toilet broke the next day and would not flush. Upon checkout we were promised a call and never heard back. I called next day and manager didnt know about our issues nor did they apologize or offer credit. Disappointed.
Room was ok. Nobody at the front desk. Parking was very difficult. Music coming in the room from the corridor was very disturbing. Thoroughly uninviting.
Comfortable bed, a fridge and free coffee. Funky decor
