Simple tune up, failed to reconnect 1 spark plug wire and failed tighten 3 plugs- only finger tight. Another shop had to troubleshoot the problem which caused additional cost and downtime of not having my vehicle. If you can t complete the standard work how do you trust overall service. Very disappointing because past experience with this shop was awesome. I don t think I can return which I m disappointed and have to look to a new shop

My review of this location has changed significantly. I went in this morning with an emergency situation. Ive been coming here with multiple vehicles for years. The person at the desk seemed bothered I came in. I was treated like I was a problem for wanting to spend money. I was given a ridiculous quote which was HUNDREDS of dollars off from what I had been told previously just a couple months before. That was the only offer. Was told the previous person, the manager, offered me bad quality tires. Ive lost all confidence in this location and wont be going back. Dismal experience.

Was on my way to Montréal from NY city after David Gilmour concert at MSG when the bad light need oil light on. They took care of me right away. Great service, professional and friendly too!! My first time in a Monro auto service! Two thumbs up!

The new and great manager Brandon got me in last minute to take care of a broken caliper that sabotaged my trip home. Disappointing. Just needed a state inspection, but they do not offer on weekends. Then, I schedule during the week - there s a sign out front saying no inspections as the system is down. No communication before my appointment either.

Bought fully synthetic oil change and tire rotation on groupon. Made appointment for 9 am, when i arrived they said it would take 2 hours. Wasn t done until noon. Then he said it would be $44 extra because I wanted fully synthetic oil, when I showed my groupon was for full synthetic his reason changed to I needed more than 5 quarts of oil.. my Mazda manual says it wont take more than 4.5 qts. This place is the reason people dont trust mechanics AVOID AT ALL COSTS ITS A SCAM!!

I ve had excellent service here multiple times. Very courteous and knowledgeable people at the front desk. They ve never tried to oversell me and I trust them with my Audi more than the local dealership. They ve definitely earned my family s business.

Dropped the vehicle off for an inspection. Work was completed in a timely manner and the shop personnel were pleasant and professional.

I never leave reviews, but I cannot recommend this location at all. I was told my car failed inspection for my rear brakes being worn down (totally fine) and also because I needed a new exhaust system. After speaking with a trusted mechanic, I was told to check the inspection report. My exhaust system is not listed on my report as a reason for failure (and it would have to be if it in fact needed to be done). My car also passed emissions. When I called to inquire about this, I was told that any exhaust system that has been modified/after market parts and isnt safe is a reason for failure, and that rust from salt on roads counts as being modified. I wont pretend I dont need a new exhaust, however, I believe this location is lying to its customers to make sales. Do not go here.

We were in Saratoga NY on a holiday weekend when we felt a vibration. Monro got us right in, found the problem and fixed it!

I needed an inspection urgently and they fit me right in. They didnt try to tell me my car needed work it didnt. They were quick and friendly.

Brought my car here on Saturday for an inspection and was told it needs $1200 worth of work PLUS a new electric power steering pump (the light was not on when I dropped it off) that they CAN NOT fix in order to pass inspection. In order for me to get my car inspected it has to be brought to someone who can fix the power steering but they went ahead and removed my previous inspection sticker anyway leaving me susceptible to tickets driving it home or to a new dealer that can actually fix it. They proceeded to charge me for a failed inspection although the power steering light was on when they first turned on the car apparently. When I picked up my car, the light wasn t even on. Will not be bringing my car here again. Completely unprofessional.

I was sent home with a failed inspection and no inspection sticker. I was willing to pay and have the work done but they were not able/equipped to do the repair required to pass inspection.

Top notch service. Treat our entire family fairly. Been going here for 10+ years. They know us by sight and go out of their way to make sure were satisfied with their work. Cant recommend them enough.

Convenient and Helpful.

Im a fellow mechanic myself and I have lots of tools in my back seat and trunk. I just dont have a tire machine yet. I have brought cars here in the past with no problem. I got one call to let me know it was done, I missed it. I gave them a ring back they put me right on hold as soon as they picked up and I was on hold for almost 15 minutes then they hung up! I called back they answered and say yeah your vehicle is ready but if you cant be here in 10 minutes youll have to pick it up tomorrow. Im so glad I made it there in 10 minutes I was walking all the way from the terrace I literally had to run the whole way. I get there on time right at 5 luckily to cash out and find out they left my car unlocked with all my expensive tools and stuff in the back! I leave next days roll around and I go to work to find out my scanner is missing! Its a LAUNCH X431 CRP919E Elite OBD2 Scanner. I rip everything out my back seat and trunk to not even find it. I call the manager at the store and he said theres nothing he can do because theres no cameras and all I can do is make a police report so I did. Im very unhappy with my experience and I will not ever go there again. I thought I could trust that store with my vehicles because I take alot of my customers cars there as well. If theres anything you can do to get my property back, or anything I would really appreciate it. That tool is my bread and butter and how I make money and I just finished paying it off so that makes it even more a kick in the face. I really hope you can help me with this matter and work and cooperate with the police to get the situation figured out so I can get my belongings back. I havent even been able to think right sense its been gone because its giving me anxiety about money. Please please help me with this situation I am absolutely heart broken about what happened.

My exhaust pipe came apart from my catalytic converter work and they did a year ago I was told they were going to sleeve and weld it back together but no they cemented in and charge me $350 where they could ve replaced the whole thing for $200 complete amateur job. I ve been going there for five years. I will never go back there again.

Realized my inspection had expired in February instead of March (had purchased the car in March) while I was in Saratoga. Found that Monro was open late and had good reviews so I popped in unannounced at around 40 minutes to close. Harry politely fielded my request for an inspection that Justin completed for me. While waiting, Harry waited on two other customers and was extremely polite and caring. I appreciate the last minute service while I was in town!

These guys were absolute life savers tonight! Got me in last min with a little over an hour to their closing time as I had walked out of work to a nail in my tire. I called and spoke to Harry, he got me in and his team plugged my tire immediately. Amazing, A+ service!!! In and out in literally not even 30 min. What a crew!

Can t extend enough thanks and gratitude to these guys. Got a flat on my travels home, was pressed for time and they got me in and out right before close. Harry, Ian, and Justin were extremely helpful and diligent and their efforts got me back on the road which I can t thank them enough for.

Great experience bringing my car here twice. Once solely for an oil change and the second time for an inspection. I knew I would likely need new brakes, which ended up being the case. They got the job done the same day and price was very reasonable. Great people working there too!

Loved that they got me in the same day for my expired inspection, but they put the sticker in a more visible place and didnt clean the glue off the old spot. Annoying to my type A person.

4 hours for a scheduled tire exchange.

Ive taken my 2014 Murano to Munro for nearly 3 years now. Always received good service. Prices are about average, but I did get a great deal on tires.

Dont bother making a appointment online as they will not honor it. Made an appointment ahead of time for inspection. Then when arrived, was informed there was no one to inspect my vehicle and then appointments on website never work. If website doesnt work then get rid of the website. Total disregard for customer satisfaction.

Going back home from a trip to the US. Was faced with a flat tire and had to buy a it from this location. The employee at the front desk, told me he couldn t help with a tire change, but could give us a new tire. When we checked the time, we realized that he couldn t change the tire because it was time to close. Thanks to the other Monro, a man named Trevor was very gracious to help and stayed extra after closing. To be honest a mechanic should be willing to help out people with car issues especially when those people are crossing the boarder. Not very professional of him.

Brought in my vehicle because of a squeaking noise coming from my rear wheels. They told me I needed new shocks. I went to Gil s for a second opinion who told me my shocks were fine and fixed the noise without a charge. Monro lost a customer and Gil s gained one for life.

Mike and his crew were absolutely wonderful in getting me in ASAP and ready for my trip home. They are honest about the repairs needed. They were also informative about the credit card. You can trust them.

Their warranty on exhausts covers the mufflers and nothing else. I had an exhaust put on my Nissan and in 2 years it failed in 2 places. They used zero exhaust hangers for the mid part of the exhaust causing the pipe to flex at the hangers. Rediculous.

Had my car inspected, Harry was great very gently suggested I let go of my older Honda CRV, it was time to upgrade. Left the sticker on gave me a 10 day extention. Found a great deal on a Suburu. I love it. Monroe was honest. They could have done multiple repairs $$ but they helped me let go and move forward newer car, great mileage. Really appreciate the advise

They charged $100 for diagnostics of check engine light then told me they couldnt do the work to replace a fuel injector which they stated was the problem. I brought it somewhere else (Generations in Ballston Spa), paid for diagnostics again, they told me it was not the fuel injector at all and that rodents had chewed through the wires within an hour and my car was back to normal that day after they did the work (so grateful!). So Im not sure youd want to bring your car here for diagnostics of a check engine light since they didnt actually diagnose the problem properly nor can they do the work they suggest which likely wouldve been a lot more expensive and unnecessary and wouldnt have fixed the actual problem. The people were nice though and its probably a decent place for basic things like an oil change or tires but I would definitely suggest going somewhere else for a check engine light so you dont end up out $100 unnecessarily since youll have to pay a diagnosis fee again anywhere else. You can pull the codes free at Advanced Auto down the street which is all I think they are doing.

I never write reviews but had to after interacting with Harry today. He is not someone you expect to come across, especially working on Christmas Eve. He has the patience of a saint, was kind to everyone he spoke with on the phone, and went out of his way for customers who were in from out of town. Give this man a raise!

This shop has caused thousands of dollars of damage to my vehicle and refuses to refund me. they caused me to lose the brakes on my vehicle twice after they serviced it on top of breaking thousands of dollars in brake line components and fuel line components which could have caused me to crash my vehicle, kill somebody or set my entire vehicle on fire. stay away from this entire chain. UPDATE Response to customer service comment... I already called you people you gave me the run around for 2 months and you told me your not gonna refund my money for all the damages. If you wanna handle this civil ill give you 7 biz days to respond. 11/6/23 start You want more info talk to your manager Teresa. Or your Travelers insurance rep that already came out. And listen to all the recorded phone calls and look at all the emails with all the repair receipts and my emails of what you people did 2 my vechicle.. its over 3 thousand dollars in damages. Update 12/24/23 Lost my brakes again on christmas eve thanks again for ur quality work i hope nobody comes to this chain they will cause possible loss of life or property STAY AWAY

Had a tire that was worn. I needed to have that tire taken off the rim and good used one put on. Went to this location, told them what I needed. With in 30 minutes they had tire on the rim, and put back on. Harry and the crew were great to work with. Even though they were swamped, they still got me in and out and one my way.

Brandon and the team at Monro are so helpful! They got my car looked at in no time. He walked me though the problem they found, and saved me from having to purchase a new battery. I have come here before, and will only come here again whenever I need work on my car.

Squeezed me in for the day, got 4 ties and an alignment done in good time. Brandon did a great job running the front even while swamped and still provided me great customer service. Would definitely come back for future services.

I was just trying to get a State inspection. I dropped my car off on Wednesday January 3. Was told it needed 2 rear tires to pass. Agreed to the tires. I was called by Jeff and told the car was ready on Saturday 1/6. The price he quoted was different from what I was quoted by Harry. Harry is no longer at that store and Jeff would not release the vehicle. I went in on Monday - Jeff again. Jeff is no help, cannot help, does not want to help. Came back on Tuesday and spoke with Brandon who was very helpful. Brandon got everything straightened out and I took the car home Monday. It had snowed and there was a lot of snow on the vehicle so I did not notice that the old expired inspection sticker was still on the car - they did not do the inspection. Went back today to have them inspect and the DMV machine is down. Im really at a loss. I have been going to this Monro since the 1980s. I dont see how I can go back.

Brought my car in for inspection and it failed due to my two front tires being bald. the back tires were fine though? got good service from Mike and Justin. I feel like like it was an honest transaction and good work. I would recommend. Was also told my back tires will need to be done by fall this year. will take my car back there at that time. 1/21/24: Special thanks to Joe for helping me put air in my tires just minutes before closing, on short notice!!!!

I called around to different garages for an estimate on tires. Some places were rude and acted like I was bothering them. Monro on South Broadway was polite and friendly and the price was about the same as the other places. I looked at the reviews online and booked the service. They were nice, quick and competent which is what I am looking for. Tires are expensive everywhere so I want to go to a garage I can trust and who will treat me well. They were great.

Something is very wrong with this business. Problem 1: I scheduled an appointment for Saturday 1/22/24 at 11am to repair our breaks. Walked in at 11am with my wife (who was my ride back) and 1 year old baby. The guy at the desk seemed upset and then he explained that there were no mechanics. Imagine my surprise, walking into a mechanic shop and being told there are no mechanics lol. I asked why they didnt notify us, since I made an appointment. He said he tried to call, but I didnt leave a phone number. That was a lie, I checked my email confirmation and I provided both a phone number and email address when I made the appointment online. I asked when we could come back and he told us to come in the next day (Sunday) between 9-10am. Problem 2: Me, my wife and 1 year old baby show up the next day, Sunday 1/23/24 at 9:30am to drop the car off. I walked in and went to the desk and the man at the desk tells me to give him a few minutes. So now me, my wife and 1 year old are sitting there waiting and all I need to do is drop the car off. He kept us waiting for 15 minutes, so I went back up to the desk and he said to give him a few minutes again, so I continued to wait. About 10 minutes later, after waiting almost a half hour to drop our car off, a new customer walks in, goes to the desk, the man at the desk takes his info and keys and gives him an estimate and time to pick the car up as me and my wife are sitting there watching. At that point my wife goes up to the desk and tells him weve been waiting for a half hour and he just took care of a customer ahead of us. The man at the desk tells her to give him a few minutes for a third time. At that point I was so upset, I told my wife we needed to leave so the situation didnt escalate. Problem 3: This whole situation left us on a Sunday with nowhere else to take the car because the rest of the shops were closed. So our entire weekend was basically wasted by this business and we never got our breaks serviced. I dont think theres ever an excuse to treat a customer this irresponsibly or disrespectfully.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: Pretty pathetic response given what has happened. My Wife was pulled over and recieved a ticket for expired inspection. Kind of weird seeing as how I have a receipt stating her car was inspected by you guys the day this review was posted. Oh yeah thats right,you guys never put the sticker on or inspected it. Ya sure did charge me for it though. Now I have a ticket to pay for due to your incompotence UPDATE ADDED: Come to find out i was also charged for an inspection that was never completed and never put the new sticker on my car. Some how that was also forgotten. Complete incompotence at this location. I will never take my vehicle to monro tire on south broadway again. Ive been bringing both of my vehicles to monro for years. But this was the final straw. Brought my wifes car in Saturday at 1230pm for 4 new tires. Was told the tires were in stock and theyd have it done by the end of the day (drop off). The days ends with no phone call (I know they were busy so no big deal, i understand). Sunday comes around, I recieve a call at 11am stating they dont even have my tires in stock. After dealing with the new store manager, we were able to find better tires and he matched the price of the original ones I picked out. All good, no big deal. I was told they were putting it on a lift and itd be done by 1pm. They call at 4:30 pm and said the car is done but they close at 5 so we would need to get there within 15 minutes because they close their registers out. I love 35 minutes away so that wasnt possible. Monday I have to work. They call my wife at 10am wondering why she didnt pick the car up yet and that their parking lot is small and they need the car out of there. Which had they done the job when they originally told me itd be done (saturday) the car wouldve been picked up that day. But since I work Monday they had to wait until I got out of work so I could bring my wife to grab her car. I get there at 530 pm to get the car. They have the audacity to give me grief for paying in cash. Being told youre really going to make me run to the bank? With an attitude. They then said I told your wife we would prefer card. Oh well, not my problem, cash is what I had so deal with it. Ive never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. Never again.

So I went to several places that day all telling me that they were a week out of doing inspections, although he had me come back to Monroe for my inspection at 2:00 p.m. I was done by 2:10, I would recommend this for anyone, the staff was kind quick and efficient.

So I had brought my car in with an exhaust problem and unfortunately was out of town. They replaced entire system minus the catalytic converter and totaled out at just under 1900.00. To bad I did not have the option to shop around because I found that Midas the garage less than a block away would have done the same work for just under a thousand dollars. Hope I can save someone else from the same mistake as made. I ll be going elsewhere for repairs and I would check Midas before you go here. Not to forget to mention this Mike person there is extremely rude giving me attitude just because I wanted to know how much it would cost so I know if I can afford it.

I left my car to go get an ice coffee. As I was walking down the street, I saw a mechanic driving my car erratically (high speed and abrupt breaking). Why? I understand that a technician may have to drive a vehicle to assess an issue or make sure a tire rotation was safe. However, this was before the car was even in the garage and I only needed an oil change and inspection.

This shop gets a lot of customers. Although they are always busy they do there best to get walk-in done the same day or help u with an appointment for the next day or following.

They never replaced the oil cap after doing an oil change on my car. Even worse, they left it in a place where it was broken when they shut the hood. Oil everywhere under the hood and I had to add a quart of oil. What a joke.

As always, a great experience. All involved were professional and courteous. Jeff is an outstanding mechanic!

I was extremely happy with their service! My car broke down on the thruway during Memorial weekend and I was towed to a place that was closed for the next 3 days! I got it re-towed to a nearby Monro and I thought they fixed my car. Went to leave for home a couple days later and it wouldnt start again! I called this Monro and after getting my car to them they identified the problem and had it fixed within hours so I could still make it home in time! On top of that they were so kind and understanding! I am so grateful for their help and would recommend them 100%!!

Jim Walker the Manager is simply outstanding. Highest integrity. He is super at customer service and is extremely personable. His Master Mechanic Jeff is a wizard at diagnostics. Car is fixed right - the first time - and ready when promised. Cant go wrong with Jim and this shop!

I had a slow leak in one of my tires and needed it to be looked at ASAP. After visiting two other car repair shops that all quoted me at least an hour wait, I was lucky enough to be taken right in at Monro Auto Service. Josh, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. They got my car right in, figured out the problem (a nail in the tire) and repaired the tire. All at a very fair price. Thank you to Monro Auto Service for not taking up my entire day with a car issue and making the process so quick and easy without an appointment.

My mechanic was wonderful found and fixed my car to make her better.

Went in for a brake job and my mechanic in RI had to replace front rotors in 2 months. My parking brake would not engage after their service. They also attempted to up-sell on tires and replacing my whole exhaust for one simple patch.

Had oil change on 08/31/22. Associate was polite, helpful & efficient and didnt try to get me to purchase anything extra or unnecessary. He fit me in at a time that was convenient for me.

I had my vehicle inspection completed here last year, reluctantly. I purchased my vehicle in North Carolina and had lived in Vermont prior to moving to New York and passed all my inspections. I was informed that I needed my tint removed on my front two windows which I obliged and expected. Although what transpired was a fiasco that made me wished I had chose a different location for my state inspection. I was informed that they could removed my tint for me and complete the inspection. However, my two door handles were damaged and the passenger interior was damaged. Also both windows did not properly work afterwards. The associate was dishonest about the whole situation and the manager and owner I believe created a bit of friction, as if I should have never had the tint on in the first place. To which I have already explained my situation. They agreed to fix the interior and attempt to fix the windows so that they could properly move up and down. My windows still do not work the same as they did stock and I wish I had never gone to this Monro. I have told anybody and everybody in my contact to avoid this location and potentially any affiliates due what I had experienced and the absolute dishonesty. The whole ordeal took approximately a month, to which shouldve been a simple state inspection.

Brought my car in yesterday for a simple alignment. They tried to sell me on new ball joints and bearings. I thought it was strange, so i took my car to my normal mechanic who just installed 4 new tires on 2 weeks ago. They dont do alignments there, in case youre wondering. Turns out i had missing bolts from ball joints on both sides, and the rest were unscrewed half way. All of that was checked 2 weeks earlier when i had the tires installed. I trust my normal mechanic, who is now piecing back together my car after calling me. After i called my wife freaked out, i called my mother who told me no more than a month ago my aunt brought her car to the same Monro who told her she needed wheel bearings and ball joints. She had her car towed to a different shop in Clifton Park. Come to find out she had bolts missing and bolts unscrewed. In a nut shell, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I doubt its everyone there, but either their mechanics are incompetent, or they are messing with cars to sell them on work that doesnt need to be done. I know this is a serious accusation, but i honestly think they are trying to scam people, and are putting people at risk doing so. Avoid this place at all cost.

Had a flat tire and this tire shop was nearby. I called over the phone and they took my information down to make the process faster upon my arrival. When I went inside Missy was helpful in assisting me in selecting a tire for my vehicle. Overall, the service was performed in a timely manner.

Cricket and Tim deserve customer service of the year awards . went above and beyond to make sure I got to see my dad for the holidays . While on vacation, my husband and I found ourselves unable to drive home due to grinding brakes. The staff at the Saratoga Springs location took us first thing on a Monday morning. They did a great job and got us back on the road! Thank you to them! We received great service.

My first appointment I showed up for and was told it would be a couple of hours maybe more since they were short staffed and I had a couple of employees not show up so I was rescheduled for the next day which was fine, but would have wished somebody had called me to save me a half an hour commute to get there when I was basically just going to be turned away anyway. My appointment the next day went exceptionally well and they were able to get me in and out very quickly but I m pretty sure they did not rotate my tires next time. I will mark the tires so that I can be sure that they did rotate Them.

Went here for a NYS inspection. I was told that I had a squeaky left rear brake and that my brakes were shot and needed new pads and rotors. Brakes did not shake or grind. Took to another shop and they advised me it should of passed inspection and that the rotors were good and brakes had about 40% life left. The other shop even showed me the brakes and rotors and compared to a bad set they had. Will never go here again.

On 4/19/21, I went in to the shop because I had issues with my brakes. The total cost of replacing 4 brake pads and 4 rotors was $950 and replacing the front calipers was $250 ($125 each). They are very accommodating and fast with their service but I think they definitely over charge for replacing brake pads and rotors. Local mechanics charge $600 to replace 4 brake pad and 4 rotors. I am thankful for the fast service but not very happy about the price charged. P.S There was similar review where person was charged $1,000 for changing brake pads and rotors. I wish I looked at that..:(

I typically do not do many reviews but felt this one was well deserved. I had traveled to Saratoga Springs this past Friday on 6/11/2021 for the weekend. Late Saturday night when we came out of dinner My low tire pressure light was on and found a screw in the tire. Being that it was late and still drivable I figured I would deal with it in the morning before heading home. I googled tire shops open on Sunday and found Monro. When I went in I explained that I was just heading back to Connecticut and had only been there the weekend. He Told me his name was Todd and came out to look at the tire. I had just bought the truck and only had 3,000 miles on it but unfortunately picked up a screw in the tire and was not a warranty issue. He told me because of where the screw was located he could not legally patch or plug the tire. I did have a spare under the truck and he told me he would have his guys put the spare on for me right away and at no charge!! Todd had 2 great employees that took care of the issue immediately. They were very knowledgeable on getting the tire down off the bottom of the truck. The truck is a 2021 with hidden key lock security just to get the spare tire off. They were very respectful and pleasant to deal with on a Sunday morning. Todd knew he would never see me again and still took care of the situation at no charge. I may never see them again but If I was local then this would definitely be my go to place. They are honest and all about the customer and not the money. Todd did not charge me but I tipped his guys well as they deserved it. Tom B

I had great service from Josh and Todd. I ordered 4 new tires yesterday. Today they got me in and out in 45 minutes with my new tires and a NYS inspection.

I absolutely love this spot they 100% took care of me. I called to see if I could get my car looked at because I was having overheating issues (come to find out my car was low on antifreeze) I took care of the issue, or so I thought, but still brought my car to be look at just in case. They looked at my car free of charge and even squeezed me in on a day that they ddnt exactly have availability just because I was not able to leave my car over night due to having to work in the morning and I was worried about if it would continue to over heat. I came to the auto body shop the next day and come to find out I had a water pump leak and a valve cover gasket leak. Which I would have never known with out them. I was literally at childs auto body shop two weeks before and they said my car was absolutely fine !! (I was planning on driving my car from New York to California! It would not have been fine !) so I got a quote, from Todd and got my finances in order and called back to make an appointment. Come to find out I needed to make a new appointment because my plans to go to California the following week pushed forward and I needed to leave ASAP. I called the next morning as soon as they opened and spoke to Todd again and he again for the second time took care of me and squeezed me in for an appointment the same day (jst so you know this appointment was going to take a few hours its not a quick appointment) I was very lucky to have this team helping me out and on my side not giving me any trouble I am a younger female and they are very friendly , very professional and very honest. I would recommend to anyone.

Travelling thru Saratoga Springs while on vacation w my family. Car broke down on highway and we towed it to Munro near closing. Josh and Ken agreed to stay late, confirmed it was a busted alternator, and fixed it for us. These guys rocked! Thank you again!

Wouldnt recommend this place. I had to get a starter installed in my truck. They ended up charging my almost $500 for the job AND then ended up messing up my heater hoses in the process causing coolant to spew out right on to the brand new starter. I had to bring it to another place to have that fixed as well. When I told the other shop how much I was charged for just a starter they nearly passed out saying I was absolutely scammed and they wouldnt have charged near that. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Brought the car in for an inspection and they gave us a quote of $1300 for repairs needed to pass inspection. We literally went across the street and got the exact same repair for $500. they are using the state mandated inspection to rip-off clients. we will never bring our cars there again

Had my car in for a new battery, tires and an inspection today. Todd was very friendly, and did a great job of finding tires that were in my desired price range. Jeff was extremely thorough with repairs, even taking the time to look at work that another shop had done to make sure everything was okay. Overall, it was a great experience!

These guys were awesome. I had some trouble with another mechanic elsewhere and Monros not only fixed the mistake of the previous mechanic but did so almost immediately and were very fairly priced, efficient and friendly. That goes a long way for customers who dont know much about cars. They fixed a stressful situation quickly and with a smile. I will come back for all my car needs!

Took my SUV in for a vehicle inspection at the Monro on Broadway, Saratoga Springs. I never had a car or vehicle of mine fail inspection in 38 years. I have been working on cars since I was 9. Worked in a shop for 4 years back when I was in college. Well, dropped it off, was told it would take an hour or two, so I left the car and walked downtown. New something was odd when I was 100 feet from the shop and I saw my vehicle speed past me! Monro staff member taking it for a cruise around the block, fast! Inspection only requires to take off one wheel, not drive the vehicle like a rented mule! Well, I continued on my walk. Got a call 45 minutes later stating my vehicle failed inspection. The shop manager, Todd, stated I had a bad inner tie-rod, front right, passenger side. I asked him to please have another mechanic look at it. Todd stated that tie-rods go, especially since my car had 177,000, that part was old. He called me back, stated his other mechanic also agreed it was bad, and that I would have to pay $257 to get it fixed, price included alignment. Fair market price to replace part and alignment. He also mentioned that the bellow (boot) covering the inner tie-rod had a zip-tie securing it. I informed him that I replaced that inner tie-rod, and all the tie rods, a little over two years ago. After market bellow boots usually come with zip ties. I informed Todd I would pick up the vehicle and check the inner tie-rod myself with a few mechanic buddies of mine, one who has inspected vehicles for over 32 years. Drive home, popped off both tie-rod ends with a puller, and tested both inner tie-rods, pulled and pushed, and took off bellow boots to inspect grease on the parts. Nothing wrong with inner tie rod: rock solid, firm, no movement, and still was able to remain suspended in the air (see picture). Had two other mechanics look at it, they declared good part, no problem, and was impressed on how solid it was. With over 87 years of mechanic experience, we all agreed it was not bad, broken, or even worn. I put the parts back together. 5 days later, brought my vehicle in to another shop for an inspection, and it passed. Mechanic who inspected my vehicle stated it was in excellent condition. It appears Monro lied about my part being worn/bad to make money. Maybe it was slow at the shop that day. I personally will never go back there. Car inspections are a way for many inspection places to make money off selling people things they do not need, or are not even broken. Be warned about Monro. I will be filing a DMV Complaint Report on this shop. Be safe, be smart, have a great day SARATOGA.

Less than 1 Star. Told them that My Exhaust had been put together to get me home by another mechanic and that it hung down more than it should. They didnt bother to look underneath before they put it on the lift. The U coupler got pulled apart on the exhaust. When i got there to talk to them afterward they told me gonna be way too expensive for me to fix. I told them i did not want a muffler, just a oem flex and a straight. he put my keys on the counter and said sorry i cant help you. I can only do what it lists in the book. I suggest you bring it to an exhaust place in Schenectady. Hacks, I should have remembered from 10 years ago when they failed my car inspection for brakes. That I had literally put on directly before the inspection. I called them out and they apologized and said sorry its a new guy. dont EVER bring your car here.

I moved into town from out of state and its always tough to find a dependable and trustworthy shop. The first time I went to Monro I had blown out a tire and needed it in a hurry and Ed and his staff came through! Since then they have always been extremely honest and straight forward with me and my girlfriend. Whether youre getting snow tires or work done on your car this is a place I highly recommend!

Can t reccomend this shop enough! My wife and I were four hours from home when our jeep broke down on the middle of the highway. We got towed to this shop on Father s Day afternoon. The guys at this shop were incredibly helpful and thorough with their investigation of our Jeep and they offered us so much helpful advice. They even did a second inspection of the car to make sure they didn t miss anything and showed us what they were looking at. Being so far away from home we were nervous about being taken advantage of as both of us were in the past with our cars. These guys were just kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They kept the shop open late on Father s Day just to help us get our car hooked up to the tow and lent us straps to secure everything. We really owe these guys. If your from out of town and have a crisis, go here! They are trust worthy and their customer service is incredible. We can t reccomend or thank them enough!

Severely overcharged for brake pad and rotor replacement, over $1,000 for brake pads/rotors and an oil change. Within four days of this service my check engine light came on for the first time ever. When I brought the car back to the shop they were dismissive and rude. After looking at it they said a sensor needed to be replaced for $270 (a $50 part, average total cost of replacement/labor $130 on google) - it is pretty apparent that their original service caused this issue. Price gauging and defective service. I will never go back.

Good service but they mark up the price for parts by a huge percentage. Breaks rotors and 2 calipers ended up costing $1400. Top of the line rotors at advanced auto are $85 Monroe charged me $150 each front and $110 for the rear. $100 bucks each for break pads and $170 for each caliper. They are definitely price gouging when it comes to parts. And it is also their policy that you can not bring your own parts so you wont get out of paying their marked up price.

I am new to NY, just bought a car and needed some tires. Talked to Ed, he was professional and quick. Gave me a decent deal on tires and didnt push any sales on me, did a free diagnostic check. THE BEST part is that my used car had some lugnut issues, showed me a picture of them, and it looked like one was almost melted on. His team took great care of me and worked like a whole hour to get these off (and didnt even charge me extra) they even found some lugnuts off an old job and put them on for free. By far my best experience in Upstate thus far. I will be going back to this shop for all my work. Thanks guys and I am highly recommending you to everyone.

Customer service is always great! Came in with my check engine light on just 2weeks before my state inspection is due. They went above and beyond to call a local dealership for me to see if I was covered under a warranty for my catalytic converter and sure enough I was. They easily could have just told me the repair needed and I would have paid $$$$ to have it done without realizing I was covered for it under a warranty. To top it off they waived the charge for the diagnostic scan! I couldn t be more appreciative of the kind service I received today. I will definitely continue to come back for my service needs!

If you expect your car to be taken care of professionally, this is not the place. The cost is fair but check your vehicle after the work is done. I had parts missing from my vehicle as well as things not put in properly. When I pointed it out I was treated like I didn t know what I was talking about. What a waste of time and money. Terrible customer service. Never again. Find another shop.

Been going to these guys for years! always super helpful and fair. They make dropping off my car easy and quick, They always call with updates and cost estimates before preforming any work, even including photos to show parts that need repair.

My sons car broke down and he was lucky enough to roll into Saratoga Monro. Jim and the crew were available to diagnose the problem and offer advice. We were able to safely, and free of charge, leave the car over the weekend. We transported the vehicle back to our home shop, 2 hrs away. Jim asked only that we give a good review. Great place, always willing to get you in even when they are busy. Nick was very helpful. They dont try and push you to do services you dont need.

Came in for an inspection and they forgot to change the sticker. Had to drive back and wait 20 minutes to get that fixed. Staff also can t wear their masks correctly and take them off whenever customers are not in the office. This is compounded by them letting unmasked customers inside. Saratoga just had a second wave. Is it so hard to do your part? Sanitized my car afterwards.

Beware: get quotes before deciding to go there. I made the mistake of taking my car here not knowing what was wrong before i dropped it off. Although they were able to service my car before the busy holiday week, they have marked up their parts pricing +125% from local dealers. The guy out front was rude when I called to ask if they could match. He verbally attacked me when I went to pay yelling at me in front of customers that were waiting on how it was convenience that I was paying for. He overcharged me over $300 from what 2 dealers in the area would ve charged me. Then charged me for a diagnostics, which came to be $130, which I had already completed prior to going there at their sister location in Malta.

I highly recommend Monroe. I had planned to travel to NJ from Saratoga for Thanksgiving today and last night my car started making a rattling noise.The staff at Monroe saw me first thing in the morning without an appointment and quickly diagnosed it as a loose heat shield and took care of the issue promptly. The staff were friendly and professional. Thank you Monroe for getting me on the road in time for the holidays!

Best place in Saratoga Springs to have work done on your vehicle! I have been bringing all of my vehicles here for years and won t go anywhere else.

These guys are fantastic. I needed an oil change (synthetic oil), and after the coupon it came to $36. I was in and out within half an hour. They even fixed my heat shield for free, which had been rattling! I will never go anywhere else.

We went to this Monroe because we were having a problem with the muffler on a car we had just purchased this morning. The Manager and Assistant Manager listened to our problem and told the technician what we said. He pulled our car in, put it on the lift, diagnosed the problem within minutes, and it was fixed within 10 minutes!!! We were very happy with the service and professionalism. We will be going to this shop again, despite it being out of our way. Its very nice to be welcomed into a place for the very first time and leaving with the confidence that youve been taken good care of. Five stars all the way!!!
