A B Auto Body in Saugerties

Scammed me out of the last of my money when I was already in a vulnerable position- they did work on my car that I didn't approve of or ask for. I asked for one service and got another and was told I needed to pay up. Think carefully about who you want your money going to.

AB is lovely to work with. He goes the extra mile and always saves me time and money. I never noticed a slight mismatch in paint color from another body shop, but AB spotted it and fixed it. All in all, the best possible place to take your car.

Yeah that guy Hunter below is for sure thinking of Some other place, the owner is definitely not named Billy. I’ve been coming here for 8 years now, since my first fender bender as a teenager. AB always does good work and does it fast, at a fraction of what other body shops charge. I come down all the way from Albany when I need work done, truly the best place around.

Shopped around the entire area for a Body Shop just to paint my hood. The clear coat was going on my Jaguar. Talked the owner quoted me a price half of what the entire area of Kingston and Saugerties were asking..dropped it off.... he called me exactly the time he said it would be done...Beautiful work, blended the fenders, even polished up a few other spots. Don't waste your time and money on others like I did...AB is the place to go for good work.... and not have to sell a kidney to pay for it.

Avoid this place at all costs. My truck broke down and had to be towed-AB Auto Body was the only option I could afford at the time. After my truck was fixed, I got estimates from multiple local mechanics who were able to do the same thing Billy (the owner) did for less than half the price I was charged. The crew decided to buy the most expensive version of the part and install it, without calling me first to see what part I would have preferred. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but it cost me $400 more than it needed to because of that part. They gave me a 'free 1 year warranty' for a part that will likely never need to be replaced again. Then, they changed my oil and used an air wrench for the oil plug, resulting in it being stripped. I only found this out when I went to change my oil months after all this was over. Rest assured, I will NEVER be returning to AB Auto Body. Not even for them to remove the bolt that they stripped. Would not recommend to a friend. Would not recommend to an enemy.

My ‘05 Subaru Outback lost grip of the road in the snow and spun out into a telephone pole, causing a major dent to the rear passenger side quarter panel, knocking out the tail light and smashing through the window. I contacted several body shops in the area and all of them quoted prices that exceeded the value of the car and were more than I could afford to pay out of pocket (unfortunately, I didn’t have collision coverage, but even if I did they most likely would have forced my hand in totaling the car). Finally I found AB, who offered to do the work at a very reasonable price and did a phenomenal job. I can’t praise his work enough. It looks like the damage never happened and my car is back on the road, driving great!
