In an industry where everything has become disposable, there is an option. Mark works with people to repair , replace, and recycle appliances. The reconditioned items are re- sold at a bargain. Purchased from him many times over 25 years and always felt good about the deals. Service is excellent too.

So our dryer started not heating and was JUST out of warranty (of course). We went and bought a brand new one. It also wasn’t heating, so on the way back to return it, we stopped here to check their stock of refurbished dryers. They actually took the new dryer off the truck and checked it out. It was heating just fine. He said our circuit breaker was the problem. We returned the new dryer and my husband bought a Weber grill here instead of another dryer. Couldn’t ask for anyone more honest. We will come here whenever we need replacement appliances! They were amazing!
The customer service provided to me was outstanding! My "new to me stove" looks like it came right out of a showroom! If you are looking for quality, working and meticulously clean, used appliances at an affordable price... look no further than this local business!
Owner is squirly. I've used him in the past for washer repair. This time called for dryer repair. He was too late for first appointment and ghosted me for the second. The following day he calls and leaves a strange (sounded drunk) voicemail apologizing again. By that time, I had already called another place and dryer was fixed same day. Thanks but no thanks.
Stopped in Friday morning to look at washers and dryers. Mark was super friendly and within 15 minutes we figured out the washer and dryer that would best work for my family and my tight budget. (Extra large capacity, cheap as possible) I was able to see the dryer I liked in the process of being reconditioned/rebuilt! There are all sorts of appliances at every price range. Washer, dryer, fridge, freezers, stoves, the list goes on. Also within 2 hours of being in his store, the washer and dryer were being delivered and installed! He came with all needed accesories and even dealt with my obnoxious dog. Just an all around pleasent experience, I will be using mark and his services again!
At 12:00 he said he was on his way back to the shop and would call me back to get my info when he got there. He never called and never picked up when I called him again at 4:00.
We have been a customer for many years. Northwind has been helpful and his products have been reasonable. If at anytime I have needed service he has come right over and fixed the problem.

I needed help with my refrigerator. It wasnt cooling. Over the phone I was advised to clean out underneath. No Change. I called him back. He did more assessing. Suggested another part.I put it in and now were back in business. Saved me lots of money. Steve from Schenectady.
Luv these guys! Bought a washer & 2 stoves the last several yrs w/no complaints. If you just need basic appliances that WORK (. . .and work), check them out. They even provide **90 day** warrantee! Their appliances are USED so dont go there looking for fancy fru-fru stuff, tho my last stove was beautiful. Buy new if youre *that* picky!! Of course, inventory varies, so they may not have what you need when you need it. But, I always check there before going anywhere else cause theyre prices are the best.
Watch out the fridge repair persons temper. No manners whatsoever - yelling and hanging up at will. Extremely unpleasant - I had a couple more repairs to do but canceled a scheduled one after he yelled at me for the third time.

A/c wasnt blowing cold air. Took it to north wind and was told it was N.G. No good, and that I owed 20$ for looking at it. Good luck with that...

My wife has been without a dryer for 2 months as I have tried to fix it. Every DIY video and searches on repair for this model have failed. Everything seems to be working, yet no heat. So I broke down and called a professional. Talk about professional! I called Northwind to help with repair of my dryer. Mark was able to fit me in the next day. He found the problem, and he happened to have the parts with him so he repaired it on the spot. Mark, thank you so much. You have taken a burden off my shoulders and made my wife so happy. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one. I would recommend Northwind to anyone!
MARK HAS THE BEST SERVICE EVER. I PURCHASED A WASHER A FEW MONTHS AGO AND IT WAS NOT SPINNING. I CALLED HIM THIS MORNING AT 9 AM AND HE CAME AND FIXED IT FOR NO CHARGE AT ALL.....I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ANOTHER PLACE EVER.....THANKS FOR SUCH GREAT SERVICE. EVETTE MORTIMORE
