Called the Advanced Auto on State St in Woodlawn to inquire about a battery being in stock. Spoke with a male, gave him all my vehicle info, who confirmed they had them in stock and they started at $198. I said I'd be down in 10 minutes. I drove there, went to the front desk, but nobody knew that I had just called. I gave somebody else all the same info I gave the previous gentleman over the phone, and they now tell me that the battery's for my car start at $215. I wasn't rude, but I questioned who I just spoke to that told me $198. Nobody had an answer for me. I pulled up my call history on my phone and showed the clerk that I just called the store and someone gave me a lower price point then what they were now telling me after arriving in the store. Nobody was willing to make it right or even offer any sort of apology as to maybe making a mistake. I had to have the battery so I bought it anyway, but I will likely go elsewhere in the future given my poor experience here. The gentleman that installed the battery for me was very nice and did a good job. I had no issues with that part of the visit.
They fill a need but with the staff turnover it is not like the parts store where the old guy or gal behind the counter knew more than I did and was anxious to share in a way that was helpful. One of my local auto stores that I use often but not exclusively.
We went in to get wipers for one of our cars. 3 people on the phone looking up parts for other people. We waited 10 minutes along with 4 or 5 other people. No one helped us or even acknowledged our presence. Dropped our items on the counter and left. I might add, not the first time it's happened to me at this location, but it will be the last!
Efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and, very helpful. I had a bad battery they tested it before they would replace it and in less then ten minutes I was on my way. Which is huge because I had my two children with me and we all know how patient they can be. So I would highly recommend them.
They had oil at an average price. The price on a car mirror was 3x higher for the same part at another chain nearby. If this is helpful, click "like".
Great place to get food as long as you don't mind waiting an hour or two in the drive thru
Staff was friendly, they couldn't match the online price for a new battery so I just ordered from my phone and picked out the battery off the shelf. They also let me borrow their tools to install the battery in their parking lot, although I was surprised they didn't offer to help as they advertise free installation. Regardless, I preferred doing it myself so I didn't press the issue, I'm sure they would have had I asked.

Purchased a ($95) sensor, I believed I needed to solve a check engine light, also purchased a new gas cap; the gas cap (seemed tove solved my problem and I wasnt allowed to return the sensor I didnt need. I will probably look for an alternative automotive parts store in the future or make sure whatever part I need from them is returnable if necessary.

The store had the brand of windshield wiper fluid I wanted (Rain-X), which my preferred grocery store no longer carries. Staff was properly masked; store had sufficient physical distance markers.

I needed coolant for my car and the staff helped me find the right coolant for my make and model
Called to see availability of part; was told if ordered today they would have it tomorrow @9:00. Showed up to order and pay for item. Sales person attempted to substitute more expensive item and when he finally got to original item he stated the item would be available in 3-4 days. I m tired of this bait and switch routine. Went to AutoZone: no games item available tomorrow @ 3:00. Guess where I will buy my parts from now on.
I was looking for a special type of connector for electrical on a car, and while they didnt have one exactly of the times that I wanted they did have something which would get the job done perfectly.

They were nice, but only minimally helpful when they didnt have the exact replacement part. I had to go to the competitor down the road to find a simple vacuum splice.
I broke down with a really really really bad battery, it was cold and after 7 pm and the lady here went out of her way to find a mechanic who came to the store, they all worked out side freezing, changed my battery and even the battery bolt things..sorry. I clearly know nothing about cars. I am so grateful for her kindness and to the gentleman/mechanic who came and went above and beyond to help me....thank you so much

If your kid works here he will fall in love with the girl at the counter at the nearby pizza store. Its always inconvenient to have your kid being in love, but it is good for the gene pool.

My go to place for auto parts.
Bought a store brand car battery here. It didnt last long. Ended up buying a battery in Walmart for half the price - its still going strong. Strange but true at least in my own experience. Otherwise the store is perfectly fine for typical car parts.
