Good guy gets you right in and is straight up and honest.

Very honest and knowledgeable. I recommend to anyone. We were told our transmission was in need of replacement. I made an appointment with Bobs for diagnosis and it wasn't the transmission. It was a ABS code making the car hesitate. To top it off he wouldn't take any money for the diagnosis. I would have paid for a transmission but they were honest. Honorable these day. Cannot find that almost anywhere anymore. 👍🙂
I brought my 1957 tbird to bobs transmission Jed it out of the . Every place I brought it to and every tbird source I talked to said the engine and transmission had to come out to fix the really bad torque converter leak I had. Well do you believe it Bobs nocked it out of the park. They pulled just the transmission and sealed the whole transmission and adjusted same. No more leaks and at a very fair price. Go see Jerome and his crew for transmission repair. They are friendly fair and extremely tAlented. They are the best bar none!! Thanks Jerome

Call this place i just waste my time,they mention transmission works,when talk to these guys they say we dont do transmission,so they should remove that sign and stop wasting people time and also they dont work on German cars,call them to ask about rebuilt or replacing a bmw transmission but just wasted my breath and time an these Bobs,no help no advice waste place

Great repair work, dont hesitate to go here. Brought wifes older chevy monte carlo in for a shifting into first gear issue. Estimate was spot on with the problem. Repaired and picked up in one day. Straightforward and efficient. I went for a transmission flush and was not pressured to spend money on anything unnecessary or told any surprise news that can so often happen to a woman in an auto shop. The gentleman (I believe it was the owner I spoke with) explained any concerns to me and I left feeling confident in the service I received, as opposed to confused and irritated as I have been with other shops in the past. He was also very accommodating in that I missed my drop-off time (I overslept!) and he still allowed me to bring in my vehicle and had it done by the end of the day. Great service, great care. Thank you guys so much!
Best I could expect..
I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado with >230K miles on it. Old, but reliable. Called Bobs Transmissions after having lost reverse in the trans driving home the night before. Spoke to John and he immediately knew what my problem was, and said they see this issue often (sun shell). I then got a rough quote and set an appointment with Jerome, and I brought my truck there. After going through the trans, Jerome called again with his price for the work he would do. This is a small shop, owned by a guy that worked for the original owner for years, and they specialize in trans work. They rebuilt my trans and per Jeromes quote, used some upgraded parts to address/correct the weaknesses in the 4l60e transmission. All work was done within the timeframe, and for the price quoted. Fast forward a few months, and the truck is again every bit as reliable as it always has been. Shifts are smooth and positive, and even using lower gears for winter driving in the snow posed no issues at all. Following my experience with them, Ive recommended Bobs Transmissions to everyone that asks, and this will be my first choice for trans work if I ever need it in the future. Direct, timely communication, fair pricing, and skilled work done right the first time. I wish there were more business like this. Update a year later, truck still runs like the day I drove it away from the shop. Thanks again guys. If you have transmission problems in the capitol region, this is the place to bring your vehicle.
Very pricey
Transmission fluid flush and fill service for my corolla 2007. Accommodated me on short notice and completed the service the same day. Friendly and unlike many others, these guys know what theyre doing. Definitely reccomend this place for any transmission service or issues.

Fast service the guy seemed knowledgeable. Got me in an out in a day with diesel clutch replacement. Made it all the way back to abilene tx in the snow of course for half the way . The last noreaster :\ Still goin good thanks again... I recommend. Prices were reasonable.

My wife and I were driving from NJ to Lake Placid and the transmission started to act strangely and the service engine soon light came on. As we pulled off the exit, the engine revved up to 4,000 RPM. After stopping the car and restarting, it behaved normal, but we werent sure if the car would make it to our vacation. This was on a Saturday around 11am, and we tried calling Bobs Transmission from a Google search. Even though there was no answer, it was only 3 miles away. When we got there, the door was open and Jerome, the owner said he would take a look even though the shop is closed on Saturday, and he was just there to take care of paperwork. Jerome hooked up the computer and drove the car a few blocks. The transmission was running very hot and indicated an issue with the CVT clutch. He cleared the SES warning, told us to grab lunch at a local diner while the car cooled off, and that we could make the rest of the drive if we stuck to 65 mph or less. Not only did Jerome save our first day of vacation, but he refused to take any money for helping us out. I would highly recommend him for his honesty and high values.
