I used Colonial Electric on my moms house. As an electrical contractor myself I was very careful about who I selected (My mother lives several hours away). Between reviews and speaking to some locals I decided to use Colonial. I could not be happier with my choice. These guys are completely professionals and do top of the line work. I even plan on using some of their practices in my own company. Larry runs a great company and Mike is a true professional when it comes to his trade. Can't recommend this company enough.
Mike from Colonial Electric came to my house today, he did a whole house inspection, he was very thorough, explaining what needed to be corrected as he went along. He took care of immediate issues I was having. Mike was very respectful walking through the house, he wore booties. When do you see that happening with service/repair folks. Cleaned up when he finished the job. He will be back next week to take care of other electrical needs I have around my home. Thank you Larry and Mike!

Larry was fantastic to work with! I called about a residential project for new power line to the house from the pole and an upgraded panel. He was super knowledgeable, professional, reasonably priced and on time! He even helped get National Grid to cover the cost of wire they were trying to pass on to me! Larry and his team do great work. Call him- you will be glad you did!

Mike G and crew were the best ! They arrived exactly at the agreed time and went right to work running the 100 amp feed from the house to the detached garage. They checked with me to ensure that they were placing the penetration(s) exactly where I wanted. Cleaned up afterwards, the only way you would know they were here was their business sign when they left.
Mike Giblin and Keller just did some electrical work installing two 20 amp dedicated circuits to the fuse box with all the wiring to two quad receptacles for a new sump pump to be done later. They were very professional, likable and did an excellent job. We will use them again!
I am happy I have found an electrical contractor to fulfill my electrical needs. Larry is a very great person and fellow Navy veteran to know. He and his crew showed up promptly and the day he said he was to be at my house. His crew, Mike, Jake and Dillon were professional and knowledgeable in meeting my expectations. Mike was very pleasant. He installed a new light fixture and we are pleased with his service.
Mike did a great job in converting an existing flourescent kitchen fixture to LED - he also replaced an outdoor floodlight with an LED fixture - very happy with his work and it was so nice working with him - he was very patient and accommodating to my sometimes picky details ! He even took the surprise encounter with bees in stride and dealt with them safely !

Mike, with Colonial Electric, did an excellent job troubleshooting, replacing and testing a snow sensor on the roof. I had a hard time finding a company that would take the job, because it was an unusual item. Mike took the challenge and got the job done!
08/02/2024 When Larry from Colonial Electric came to give an estimate for my job, he was on-time and very thorough in looking over the entire layout - from my basement breaker box to the garage where my EV charger was to be placed. He explained what the difference would be in installing the charger in different locations within the garage, and promptly provided me with two different estimates. Impressed with Larrys knowledge and familiarity with this type of job, as well as Colonials competitive estimate, I accepted their bid. A date and time was set for the installation and Mike from Colonial arrived on that date, at the agreed upon time (this is a big deal to me!) Mike was friendly, professional, and respectful of me and my property. He worked diligently to get the job done, even though he ran into a couple of snafus (my house was an issue, not the electrician)! He left the area clean and the job was done neatly. I really appreciated him listening to me about what I expected, and clarifying what would work best in my situation. Thanks Colonial! Kathy K.
Excellent in every way!
We had Colonial Electric install an electrical feed and outdoor ceiling fan on our back porch. They did an excellent job! From getting an estimate to the installation; Larry, Jacob and Mike were great to work with. We will be using them again, when we need any additional electrical work.
Mike was excellent! Actually beyond excellent. Not only was he efficient with upgrading the 3 outlets that we needed to be replaced, he expertly troubleshot the issue we were having with our garage lights and came up with a perfect solution that matched exactly how we wanted the lights to be activated. I used this company last year for some other electrical work and I was very satisfied then too, which is why I called on them again this year. Obviously, I highly recommend them.
Cannot say enough good things about Larry and his company. I need my AC electric done as well as some switches. Showed up for a quote on time, and came back and got the work done quickly and professionally.
Out of five possible stars, I rate this company as a six! All work was performed as per the quote. The crew was professional, knowledgeable and timely. When they were done, they cleaned and picked up everything where they had been working and verified that I was happy with the work they had performed. I highly recommend this company and I will use their services again in the future.
