No one wants to hear that they need a new furnace, but after over 25 years ours bit the dust. The folks at Adams made the experience as painless as possible, replacing both the furnace and the also very old AC unit. Amber got us set up with Cliff K to discuss the details and within a week Tom G, Will B, and Sean W got us up and running. I was very pleased with the service they provided. They were very respectful of me and my space and kept me informed throughout the process. And, despite a slight hiccup with the new venting required, they did not leave until I had heat!

Will recommend 1000x over. After 4 other companies were using scare tactics to get me to do a full rip and replace. Sean came in and did a phenomenal job of diagnosis then repairing and then explaining it in detail along the way. He even went as far as offering an apology on behalf of all HVAC techs for having to deal with what those other disgraceful companies were trying to do. Adams Hratin and Cooling - THANK YOU!

Adams heating & cooling came out same morning I woke up without heat. After finding out we needed a new furnace, was super relieved that Adams could schedule us for 830am the next morning to install a new furnace. Advisor Cliff K. left us 2 space heaters to get us through the night and next day while they installed our new furnace at no charge. The next morning 2 installers (Kyle G. & Ken H.) showed up prompting at 830am and were super nice and knowledgeable. They layed down floor runners throughout the house and didnt waste any time, got started right away. Kyle G. and Ken H. stayed working all day and had us back up with heat by the afternoon. Patrick their quality assurance/control personnel stopped by a few times to check on progress and at the end of install, explained some of the functions of the new unit that they tied into our existing heat pump/ac unit. Then Kyle G. walked me through the rest of the things dealing with the unit and new thermostat. Picked up and cleaned up behind themselves. I highly recommending Adams Heating & Cooling to everyone I talk to. Come to find out several friends, family, and coworkers are having issues and will be upgrading systems soon as well. We have been customers of Adams Heating & Cooling for many years and after many years, had to have our furnace replaced and decided to have the A/C replaced at the same time, also due to its age. We had two very efficient men, (Anthony & Will), come to the house, do the work and left everything in impeccable shape. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that was done to complete the job. I would highly recommend them both and Adams for taking care of us quickly in this uncomfortable cold weather.

Lost heat during the holidays and called multiple HVAC emergency services. Only Adams responded the next day. Service tech Chad said we need a new furnace as ours was 40+ years old and not repairable. A couple days later, Tom showed up and installed a new furnace as well as new AC at a good price. Tech came for a no hot water call on a condensing boiler heat was fine decided I needed a sensor left and had no heat next tech came and put in a sensor and I had heat but no hot water .so 750.00 later I m back to where I started then wanted to put in a 1200 heat exchanger (said it was plugged) with no certainty it would work not sure I could have perfect hot water heat with a plugged heat exchanger? No one could explain why I had heat when the first tech came and no heat when he left seriously service manager was extremely rude and unprofessional every time I spoke to him. Not to say all the techs are bad but for this experience they were.

Adam Heating responded to me very fast and had a tech, Nathan. at the house that morning! New customer, happy customer. Very professional, very fair pricing, business like, on time. Recommended highly!

Adams just installed a new Rheem furnace and Rheem central AC unit. I could not be any happier!! Terry Hobbs did an awesome job configuring every detail of the system! Nothing was additional!! I was having a furnace issue and tried to use my red carpet service as per usual but after hours and hours of waiting to hear back from an on-call service technician I finally got fed up and tried calling to check how much longer it would be before they got to my house. Well they acted like I had never called and gave me the run around. I got tired of waiting and checked some reviews from different companies in the area and landed on Adams, I am so happy I did because the whole process afterwards took about an hour and a half to get a tech to my house and have the problem dealt with. I now have a running furnace AND a new Heating/Cooling service provider. Thanks to all who helped me and my family get our furnace working. Furnace failed in January, had it replaced within 48 hours. Don and Luis did a great job. Both are very professional, well spoken, and can tell they enjoy working together. Left the work site very neat and tidy. Would happily hire them again for future work.

My tenant called with a heat pump problem that left him with no heat. I called Adams and Shawn and Tucker responded to the call within a couple hours and the heat was repaired and is back working! I have worked with Shawn previously and he is always great to work with. Both technicians were friendly, knowledgable, and dedicated to getting the job done correctly!

Alvin, David and Paul arrived on time for the scheduled job, which was the replacement of a furnace and water heater. They were very courteous throughout the day and prepared the areas that they would be moving to and from with tarps and plastic so not to dirty the floors. The work was completed timely and I was given a walkthrough of all the work. They also walked through routine maintenance that I could do on my own and walked through the functions of the smart thermostat. Overall everything was great and I would highly recommend this company and this team.

Excellent service! The emergency call I made, after work hours, was answered immediately. I received a call before 8 the following AM to set up scheduling. Our technician,Gregg, called early AM to make sure he picked up parts we may have needed. He arrived within the designated time scheduled. Gregg is friendly and professional. He explained everything to us as he made his diagnosis. This was our third time using Adams. They are a topnotch company!

We had a new water heater installed today by Anthony and Will. They arrived on time, were polite and professional. The install went easy and they did a great job. Our old Adam s water heater was 15 years old and still working but we wanted to replace it. Prices are still good.

Returned from vacation To a 40° house. I called Adam s Friday morning. Before noon, they had a technician (Austin) at my house, (And indeed, my 25-year-old furnace was Kaputt), Before 2pm same day, Terry, was at my kitchen table, Explaining My options. And by noon Monday, Kyle and Dave had installed and restored heat to my house. You d think it doesn t get any better than that But everyone was super friendly, meticulously informative, forgiving of my lack of snow shoveling, and best of all, Terry went back to the office on a Friday evening to grab 2 space heaters, in order to keep my kids and I warm over a single digit weekend. I have 35 years in the service industry, and this crew gets it. Thank you guys! I will spread the word.

i had a great experience with adams installing my heat pump in november . Tom and David were very professional and friendly and knowledgable through the entire process. they took the time to explain any questions i had . very pleased from start to finish.

Dale arrived this morning for our annual furnace cleaning and we appreciated the call ahead of his arrival. Besides performing the usual service needed, he explained in detail various aspects of what he was doing in addition to discussing our care and maintenance of our equipment and possible time line for upkeep. He is extremely knowledgeable in addition to being a very personable guy. We have been using Adams Heating for a long time and couldnt be happier with their service.

The team that came out to my house (Kyle, Joey, and Will) were great. Each were courteous and willing to engage in answering my many questions, which they did with extensive knowledge. My only quibble with the entire process was not with them but rather a salesperson who, while very nice, apparently made some assurances that were not realistic. This person s no longer with the company, so I certainly don t fault Kyle and his crew for that.

Outstanding installation experience. Our 25-year-old Adams-supplied gas furnace finally needed replacement. We purchased a new high-end heatpump solution from Adams and were very pleased with the installation service from Chris, Sean, JJ, and Louis. They were all very knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and respectful of our property. Great job, guys! Looking forward to our continued relationship with Adams.

After calling to make an appointment for a quote for a new furnace , Terry got back to me and scheduled an appointment within a couple of days if not sooner. He was very knowledgeable and made recommendations to our needs . I signed the contract within the week and they scheduled the install . Terry answered any questions that I had prior to the installation as he returned texts and calls promptly. Ron Z. and Zach did the installation . They were very professional and did nice clean work . They worked diligently and completed the job earlier than expected. The last was the thermostat and Ron went through the setup with us step by step. It s been a little over 2 weeks now and so far so good! They even did all the work for the rebate from National Grid! We had the 92 but went with the 96 and it seems to be more comfortable . We were very happy with the whole process and would highly recommend Adam s Heating!

On time, fair prices, reliable and trustworthy. Have used them in the past. They came to rescue last week when our furnace gave out before Christmas. We had a new one installed on Christmas Eve. Adams was exceptional through the sales process to installation. Terry, the sales rep, didn t try to upsell us even though our 20 year old system went down the coldest week of the year. Terry took the time to explain the technology to us and find the right system for our needs. Adams was able to adjust the schedule to get us in line to help us get some warmth after seeing our situation. They sent in the same team to replace our furnace/water heater one day and our ac unit the next. Donye and Paul, were knowledge and skillful while respecting our home. I appreciated having the continuity of the same technicians throughout the project.

Adams has good techs and I have had good experiences with them but one tech everytime he comes he has to come back to fix somthing this latest time he left the circulator pump valve closed and turned my hot water boiler into a steam boiler the time before that he over pressurized the system and and blew of the pressure relief which caused it to leak both situations were made right but highly incovenent second issue adams replaced 3 zone valve power heads in 3 years for the same zone at 400 a piece plus labor and service fees to finally discover the valve bodys was bad. Will most likely be going to another company to avoid this tech again

They reached out through Angis list within a few hours, and had be scheduled for an service evaluation within 24 hours. The tech was on time and polite. Unfortunately, they do not do electrical baseboard heaters, which is what I needed repaired. The scheduler should have probably asked, but the tech was very polite about the matter and was able to call and have the visit/eval fee waived. I would call them again for other heating and cooling needs.

Adams Heating and Cooling replaced my 16 year old gas furnance with a new Rheem gas furnance and seer 20 AC / Heat pump. It was a two day job. They were here on time both days and were very polite . They cleaned up the work area. The sales person Terry explained every detail of the job. Anthony, Zack and Sean were the technicians. They were very nolegable and experinced. When we decided to replace our aging heating and cooling systems we did our due diligence and spoke with representatives from three local companies and we were most impressed with the presentation given by Erik Dietershagen of Adam s Heating and Cooling. Fast forward we had our new units expertly installed by Anthony and Sean this Wednesday and Thursday. They explained everything thoroughly and maintained a clean workspace throughout the install. Upon completion they explained what they did and how to operate new units. The icing on the cake was a visit this am by Patrick McMahon, their Quality Control person. Adams is always responsive when we call them for service. We never have to wait - they come the same day. Today, they came within an hour and quickly found the root of our problem. The service agent explained the issue to me and within 20 minutes, my AC was repaired. This all took place the day after the Fourth of July, when they had a lot of service calls. This is remarkable. We purchased our heating and AC units from Adams as well. They offer products from the best brands and prices are fair. We highly recommend Adams Heating and Cooling. I have an update from October 2024 - I just had our furnace annual checkup completed. Chad did the work and he was great. He asked when was the last time we serviced our water heater and we had not done so. We asked him to do it and he performed it quickly and have me a good tip about keeping the condensation pump clean for our AC and furnace. Adams is fair and honest. Other than my initial install date needing to be rescheduled, I had a great experience with Adams and my mini-split install. Kyle and Paul did a great job during the install. They were pleasant, polite and professional. The install looks great. I was worried how the line set would look coming out into our screened in area, but I am very happy with the end result. They install Mitsubishi units, which was a big factor in our decision. It also helps that they were the lowest cost amongst the 3 bids I received. Would definitely recommend.

July 11, 2024 - Another 5 Star Review! Had new A/C and furnace installed. Anthony and Zack (and the rest of the team) are absolutely top-notch. Quick, efficient, excellent workmanship, polite, informative. Could not ask for more. - - - - - - - - - - August 2020 - Incredibly prompt service, fantastic technicians. I had to make an emergency call for a dead A/C with the hottest day of the year fast approaching. Called at 3AM, set-up a call back for 8AM... problem solved by 9:30. Turned out it was just a maintenance issue on my end, but Kevin was outstanding and took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. He also performed a bunch of tests to make sure everything was working as it should be. 100% guaranteed that I will use Adams again.

We were very impressed with the knowledge and experience that Craig demonstrated during a recent visit troubleshooting our new AC system that was installed about 4 weeks earlier. Last June, during the heat wave, our new AC unit kept shutting down. We called Adams and Craig showed up shortly thereafter. He diagnosed the problem (a defective pump for the condensate in the condenser unit not pumping), replaced the unit and got the AC up and running in less than 30 minutes, Very Impressive performance. The AC has ran smoothly since then (over a month, to date). Thank you, Craig.

i just had service completed at my residence. i called Adams and they had a tech out to me same day within 60 minutes of calling. Chris and Sean spent the entire day installing a Mitsubishi combination heat pump /air conditioner on the third floor (and outside) our Victorian Brownstone. While installing the compressor outside in the garden, they noticed our concern about it partially blocking the window view. Without our asking they worked to find a place where it could fit without obscuring any part of the widow. They were both so considerate, knowledgeable and efficient. It was a pleasure to have them here. We highly recommend their work.

Just had my A/C annual maintenance checkup performed by Austin. He explained everything he was doing and answered all of the questions I asked. My thermostat had been acting up and needed to be replaced. He explained to me the various types I could replace it with helped me decided which one would best suit my lifestyle (not the most expensive I might add). After he installed and tested that, I had some miscellaneous but related questions about my systems in general. Again, he patiently and thoroughly answered my questions and gave me suggestions about available products that would put my mind at ease should one of those systems fail. He was patient, honest, and extremely knowledgeable and when he didnt have an answer, he called the office for more information. My experience with all of the staff, office and technical, at Adams Heating and Cooling has always been excellent but Austin really was exceptional. THANK YOU for being such a great company.

I have a Rheem Tankless Hot Water Heater that was not giving good pressure & needed to be flushed, however I could not get it to flush myself, even though I ve previously flushed it in the past ??? Adams H&C cleaned out my minisplit recently. Its working wonderfully. Dave did a great job.

My furnace stopped working one night and the next day Adams had a technician out first thing in the morning. The technician was very friendly and helpful and determined that the cost of the part might not be worth it as I had a 20yr old furnace. Adam s spoke with me about all my replacement and finance options and all the pros and cons of each option. There was never any hard sell tactics and when I decided on the best option for me they immediately scheduled it. The install team was extremely friendly and efficient. They talked to me about what they were doing and even helped me install my humidifier. I know very little about HVAC and they made me feel informed about all my options throughout the process and worked with my budget for this unexpected expense.

The tech was honest and provided the best advice for my problem.

Heat pump needed replacement. Tech they sent was rude and left cigarette butts in my yard. For the price paid I d expect better service.

I got quotes from 3 companies, but Chris brought up some issues the others did not and I felt very comfortable going ahead with this company. Recently, Adams did a job in my home where they removed our old steam boiler system ( super old radiators- hated them ) and we decided to go with the forced hot air/ central ac option. We ve trusted Adams for almost 2 decades. Our furnace was very old (20+ years) and our AC was almost twice as old(36+ years). Terry came out to the house to discuss our furnace and AC issues. Talk about friendly and knowledgeable! I ll be calling him for all of our HVAC needs. Terry outlined the possible solutions, we explained how we use our system and Terry explained the pros and cons of each solution. My wife and I decided on a system and Terry explained why we made a great choice, giving us confidence in our decision. The installation went so smoothly. The guys (Alvin, Zach, and Luis) were also extremely friendly and polite. My wife and I were nervous about the noise of the install as we both work from home. It wasn t even an issue. The guys just went about their job as professionally as you can. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived, and we keep it pretty clean. In fact, the new AC didn t go in the same place as the old and Luis transplanted the grass from the new AC spot to the old AC spot so we don t have a bare spot in our lawn! The whole experience, from working with the office staff to the installation, was great and why we will continue to trust Adams with our heating and cooling needs.

We called Adams last week because they had done work at our business several years ago and we were very pleased. We needed a new furnace which was installed today. I cant say enough about their promptness to install. They said 8 am it was right on the dot. The 2 gentleman that did the install introduced themselves and proceeded to put on booties on their feet and drape the whole area with drop cloths. The names of the installers were Alvin and Luis.. This company is so reliable (Adams Heating &cooling). Michael, the technician, was here on time and did a thorough job. I just never have to worry about heating/cooling because I know Adams has dependable business practices , having been a customer for several years.

Adams installed a new Bosch furnace and connected heat pump. The price was good and they are a contractor that can get National Grid rebates. The install went well but not as planned. It took 3 days rather than 2 but they had the furnace up and running at the end of the first day. The extra day had no impact (I am retired). The installers were very good, professional, and friendly. There was a problem with my thermostat not having enough wires for a heat pump but they quickly found a wireless option and installed it at no additional charge. It has been working well and I am very pleased with the quality of everything they did and of the Bosch equipment.

From the project coordinator Terry, coming and explaining everything so it was easily understandable, to Steve and Jason showing up the first day after Christmas and having the furnace installed in under a half a day, everything was top notch. Adams to the rescue! Our furnace started to malfunction the day after Christmas 2023. Our current HVAC company we were using was not able to properly troubleshoot the issue. After four service calls and plenty of disappointment, I searched the web for local HVAC companies. I did a after hours online inquiry. The very next morning I received a phone call from Adams Heating and Cooling. The employee, sorry cant remember the name, completely understood my needs and scheduled a project coordinator to visit my home later that day. We met with Chris Church. Chris was very knowledgeable. He spent the time necessary explaining our options. He was genuine. We did speak with other HVAC companies but in the end, my family selected to do business with Adams after considering cost, product availability, warranties, and customer reviews. Adams installed my new system in one day. The installation technicians were excellent. The job exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with the entire process we experienced with Adams Heating & Cooling.

The installers do great work. They do leave behind a mess everywhere they work, however. I had cut siding left in my yard, metal shavings in the laundry room where they installed furnace and ductwork etc. Random screws inside and outside. But, work looks good. My only advice is dont write a check. The office takes their sweet time depositing, takes them a month or longer to do so. Makes it difficult to keep money in the bank for that long as we all have other things to pay for daily.

Nate came to service my dad s oil furnace after it had no been working. He was professional and took his time to do the job! Highly recommend Adam s for your HVAC needs! :)

I recently purchased/installed a new HVAC system at my home and wanted to pass on the positive experience I had with your team. Chris Church was my salesman and he was very attentive, knowledgeable and more importantly patient with my detailed questions. I really appreciated that he invited me to take a tour of your showroom. He not only brought me into your display room, but also introduced me to people on your staff. It was a pleasure, and very easy working with him. Your installation crew of Ron Zadrozny and Dave were excellent. I could tell immediately they paid attention to details and took pride in their work. They didn t take the easy solution to any issue that might have arrived, thought it thru, and did the right thing. It showed in the final product. Ron even spent the time to show me how the system worked and gave me some preventive maintenance tips. All 3 of them represented your company well, and it was a very pleasurable experience.

We just had service work from Adams and the entire process went flawlessly. Our technician Craig was amazing to work with. He went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciate it. I will always use Adams moving forward and I will always be asking for Craig. I will be recommending Adams to everyone I know moving forward.

Recently had a new furnace and AC unit installed through Adams. Had several companies come out to give me quotes but the Adams rep, Terry, truly went above and beyond, giving me guidance on areas outside of the scope of his visit to improve the overall efficiency of my home and didnt try to oversell. He made himself available for multiple follow up calls to answer any and all additional questions I had as I weighed my options. The installers, especially Tom and Chris, were outstanding. They were both extremely professional, knowledgeable, and were happy to answer any and all questions I had along the way. They treated my house with the upmost care during the two-day project which I really appreciated. Highly recommend working with this great team!

Adams heating and cooling is the most responsive company I ve ever dealt with. They always come in a timely manner when there s an emergency their technicians are well trained and professional I especially like them wearing little booties when they come in my house instead of tracking and dirt like most people do.

Had Adams Heating & Cooling install a new booster fan in my kitchen hood, replacing my old and very loud blower. Ron and Luis did a fantastic job and the result far exceeded my expectations!! The new system works wonderfully and is super quiet. I would highly recommend Adams for all your HVAC jobs!!

Great bunch great job

I have a toyotomi 122dw oil water heater that heat my radiant heat system (hot water system that heats my floors) and also heats the hot water for showers, dishes and laundry. So i had a failure in the system. I ask for help and no one come help me with this Toyotomi system. Adams came out and i thought i could be saved but ultimately they said We cant help you. Were going to have to walk away from this. The only people that could helped me lived over three hours away. So I had to take a crash course on toyotomi (mind you i am a hvac drop out from Hudson Valley community College) and i learned that its the same exact oil firing process as a Beckett or any other oil burner. Its a matter of diagnosis. Took me 3 weeks after they dissed me to figure it out( a novice) and these big wigs who charge 175 just for showing up, cant figure out how a process works and how to diagnose it. Makes me feel like we need a company that can figure out heating systems in general. After doing my crash course i actually think its a simple system. And they tried to sell me another system that would have cost thousands. But who am i? A nobody that can pay thousands of dollars in an emergency. It was hell for my family to take a shower every day. We actually made a camping shower..
